ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only three years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using otherwise complex marketing technologies, known as sales funnels (more on those in a second).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, but not just from ClickFunnels, but other marketing experiences. He played around with email advertising for a while, and started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets and Secrets his fans rave about and that guide people through his marketing methodologies. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Clickfunnels Banner Size
ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his staff produce funnels more quickly for different ventures, as creating funnels would normally take months. They soon realized their creation would be useful to other people and had good potential as a commodity.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes people who do not understand you and turns them into customers, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps designed to guide a website visitor.
There’s a less dull way of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and rather than real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you telephone web traffic or website traffic. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your website is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that still doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors into clients. In a physical shop, that is like people walking into your store but not knowing where the cash register is, so they leave the shop without buying anything. You can talk your customers into purchasing something. In a shop, you could be a bit more distant from your visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your clients’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel works incremental, draw visitors in closer and closer until visitors wind up in a page.
If you feel this sounds cool, you’re correct –it has become a massive deal for advertising. Russell Brunson did not only get rich by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it too.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to help save you time and energy–to do exactly what requires a whole lot of proficiency and/or an array of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
Among the best things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making the user money. They make it put up your content quite easy to produce your account, and begin taking payments. Additionally, it is rather easy to pick up everything –it’ll likely take you a couple hours to find out a lot of what you need, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are extremely useful here. I like how easy it’s to replicate pages, and the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a fairly important attribute, and they’ve pulled it off nicely. As soon as you become used to it, it’s an builder.
Constructed in A/B testing is excellent. All you have to do is replicate a webpage, make your changes, and pick the amounts of your visitors that you wish to view version A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels handles API integrations nicely. Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to control.
You will also find a WordPress plugin that lets you insert ClickFunnels webpages. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active setups.
All in 1
Overall, it is great to get things so centralized: I will build my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.
All of this really will save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to invest on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.
You can rest assured the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you’re allowed for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. In case you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the full suite might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Banner Size
ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a fantastic job of packing good tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably conserves most users a hassle they’d have if they tried to manage funnels another way.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has quite a few areas that require work.
A drawback is the price. There are two alternatives, at either $97 a month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t a massive drawback, another investment in your business, and like I’ve said, you get a package for it.
Lackluster Client Service
Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been fine with fundamental queries, but if you inquire more difficult things, especially about more advanced features, they will not be quite beneficial.
Cult-like user base and applications also reliant on Creator
This isn’t an objective criticism of their product but I take a slight problem with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a fantastic advertising. However, from a user experience perspective, it can get obtrusive. Once you sign up for the applications, you can try to examine the purpose features of the software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and made to learn Russell Brunson’s marketing procedures.
This usually means you will end up buying online classes, publications, attending seminars, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and most posts is composed of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they made. Though these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they are more concentrated on earning quick money instead of building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped folks do good things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online classes, saturation of trainers and experts, along with other spammy internet marketer stuff.
We know the creator is a marketing but so much of this item is tied into his own brand and his philosophy. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything about it looks to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.
At times it’s difficult to not get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, especially when a few elements of the merchandise (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels but more about the neighborhood. While you have the ability to customize within ClickFunnels, many men and women use similar layouts. Taking into consideration the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels encounter some errors or will return. Though this doesn’t occur frequently, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a great deal in advertising or driving visitors to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a couple of hours, then you may potentially lose a lot of cash.
It’s also hard to know if your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t constantly wait or wait till you hear from angry customers. When I clone webpages using the HTML printing option, barring uptime, I deal with a few glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices alter, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring out things.
I enjoy consistency in my applications, especially if it is a business solution.
At length, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with : it’s too easy, and too expensive because of its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches that can be cheaper upfront and give more control over handling specific details. But for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use bundle of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes at $297 per month. For what it is worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to test the support , so at least you don’t need to commit to a costly plan straight away. If you pay annually instead of monthly, you receive two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).
Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some might say , and that I can see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which begins at $25 a month. However, it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a fairly good job. I consider it a good investment.
The principal differences between an entry level consideration and a premium account are as follows: StartUp gets the main service, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the full list of features.
However, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split evaluations, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality which lets you describe a product as a one-time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your customers cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, and custom domains; priority support and template asks; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Suite, don’t worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the subsequent section of this ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the gaps, StartUp essentially conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the full set of ClickFunnels attributes. You are able to watch the full official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I believe that they’re strong and you get whatever you need. They are largely intuitive and supply you with a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all good examples of this and are very important functions, so I’ll be giving them separate sections. Clickfunnels Banner Size
A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a feature a one.
If you duplicate a page and make changes to the copy, the divide test essentially lets you choose what percentages of your visitors you need to view per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It’s a function and simple to use.
In addition, I believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and straightforward for different settings, such as your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them restrictive (a common theme among a few criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be simple to work with, I thought the basic features were pretty great.
There are a number of types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented into different types of businesses, and also you can of course build your own funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I have a moment in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my view, Total Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it is exactly what many would call an e-mail or just an auto-responder, but it is a little more complicated. The chief objective of Actionetics is smart analytics which result in smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Along with Actionetics comes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to make managing an affiliate program easier and more efficient.
But are such attributes, or products? Actionetics seems a bit like ClickFunnels trying to sell an iffy email auto-responder for me, but maybe I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Full Suite a bit perplexing and removes the coherency you get with the original ClickFunnels.
Here’s the full list of StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- unlimited contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split tests
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order webpages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale pages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per type
You may view the full list of features, along with Full Suite attributes, here. If you’re in a position where you are able to manage to try out Etison for a bit and you also absolutely need an efficient, easy way of increasing earnings, I don’t think you’d find yourself shorted. By that same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge benefit that you can not do without themfor many users, simply StartUp will offer a thorough adequate bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wished to devote attention to it. In reality, I think a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top score has to do with it being a really solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its own funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely for this landing page builder.
Anyhow, there is quite a range of templates with good layouts, though as you can expect, just the templates created by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel kind, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.
You might even save certain templates and also create own page templates, and it’s pretty simple to see them. As you can see, it is possible to toggle with basic settings and open in the editor.
Once you start your pages you’ll essentially be working using a drag and drop builder. It’s a bit more complex than some other light page builders, but it’s still easy to use.
The editor utilizes a page structure with four main components: sections, rows, columns, and elements. Think of these parts as fitting inside every other (this informative article has a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and elements go inside of sections. You can have several sections per page. Rows and columns move indoors sections, but columns especially go into rows. This way you can have a row with one column, or around four. Elements are the dynamic bits that also make your page interactive and go inside columns.
It might sound complicated, but it is pretty easy to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded–for example, from the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box because it’s a part, however if I was hovering over an element, it would be orange.
A little criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have personally) about the builder is how grid-like it’s –you have to work within those rows and columns. Personally, I do not believe this is a huge problem and the builder gives you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
I enjoy the webpage builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct types of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. By way of instance, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you like MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few notable partners you may add to your integrations. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations section, you can search for these or simply click on the search bar, and they will come up. It is pretty self-explanatory, just click on the one you desire and add it. Clickfunnels Banner Size
The procedure for managing integrations can also be simple, though you may have to look at your third party software’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the procedure simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than a few features, such as the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have an extremely simple way of adding and managing integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section separate from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be a lot of store unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling each these integrations is pretty simple –as long as you are all set up with whatever tool you are attempting to incorporate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations operate smoothly and you do not have to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main market is its ease of use–because their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’tech men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that enable the less experienced to save money and time. That being the situation, assessing ease of usage is pretty significant.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you need to still have some expertise.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it may be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I would say the learning curve could be only a couple hours max. Pick up the books mentioned in the critique of Russell Brunson if you behind.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is unquestionably simpler than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it appears to me like most queries must be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.
All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–the actual funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate into all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations involving email integrations or charge processors will want a bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it is things you’ll be able to figure out by Googling about or visiting the docs centre.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it likely will not be enough to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It unites alternative and customizability with convenience, and while I’d indicate all potential users input with some basic technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (talking from experience here) will find the maximum use out of it. There are variations in funnel types that appeal to a businesses over others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and even those offering B2B services would most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does nicely with those offering more ventures that are individual or products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those businesses: for example, if you are a gentleman, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a good method of marketing for you. If you are trying to center everything there could be great support also. The same goes for people selling content like books or classes.
Of course, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not think you should decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based purely on their default funnel types. If you are a smaller business, alright with the price tag, and you need to make your traffic work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to keep a much better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is just barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but nevertheless sufficient. Their docs page includes a collection of classes, each with their own posts. It might be simple, however content-wise it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Banner Size
As once you log in for the customer service that is direct, they have a feature within the dashboard, but I am not overly pleased by it. They have been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more complex questions, I’ve found them fairly unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing question, they took to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not need that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS companies don’t offer that level of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Furthermore, I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. Notably, in cases when features haven’t worked as promised or when there were bizarre site malfunctions, customer service representatives were supposedly either unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, a number of his clients were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. After he contacted customer service, he discovered that they were apathetic and unhelpful. It illustrates the point, although it might be a situation.
Overall Support Rating
I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I feel that the team largely understand that their solutions are not easy to use and/or demand tools fresh to their users, and they have put enough resources in their support to make it decent. At least questions will be answered, and they are fairly responsive. Most consumers would not say ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it meets a bare minimum that makes it. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
So, what’s the overarching verdict? It’s fine! It’s a legitimate competitor in the advertising software space and worth trying out.
Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: you may want to look, Should you need a more answer to your marketing needs with higher customization abilities. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or some glitches in the program. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of these outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone advantages like strong integrations, the short learning curve, and templates that are good.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and attain conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be quite useful for significantly less entrepreneurs. I’m pretty sure that for the huge majority of potential users, the page builder offers choice. If you’re looking to get an sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. On promises, it hasn’t reached its popularity In the end, and that I am giving 4/5 stars to it.
