ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only three years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using differently complicated advertising technology, known as sales funnels (more on those in a second).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous as his creation, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, but not just from ClickFunnels, but advertising adventures. He played around with email advertising for some time, and eventually began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets and Secrets, two novels that his fans rave about and that direct people through his marketing methodologies. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website . Clickfunnels Banner Picture
ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his team create funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would usually take months. They had good potential as a commodity and soon realized their production would be useful to others.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes individuals who do not understand you and turns them to customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of steps developed to guide a website visitor.
There is a method of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you call web traffic or website traffic. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, many of your visitors doesn’t turn into clients. In a physical shop, that is like people walking into your store but not knowing where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without buying anything. In a store, you can speak your clients into buying something. In a digital store, you could be a bit more remote from the visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to attract your clients’ . The funnel functions step-by-step, draw traffic in closer and closer until visitors end up at a payment page.
If you think that sounds cool, you’re right–it’s become a huge deal for online marketing. Russell Brunson did become wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it too.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to help save time and energyto do exactly what otherwise requires a lot of technological competence and/or a range of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
One of the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making money for your user. They make it put your content up quite simple to produce your accounts, and start taking payments. Additionally, it’s rather simple to pick up everything –it will probably take you a couple hours to find out most of what you need, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are extremely useful here. I like how simple it is to replicate pages, and the fact I can save templates for use again later. Their page builder is a feature, and they’ve pulled it off nicely. It’s an builder, once you become accustomed to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is excellent. All you need to do is duplicate a page, make your changes, and pick the amounts of your visitors that you wish to view variant A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations pretty nicely. Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to control.
You will also find a useful WordPress plugin that allows you add ClickFunnels webpages. It saves a good deal of time and is much less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a strong 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin , using over 20,000 active installations.
All in 1
In general, it is great to have things so concentrated: I can construct my landing pages, create forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.
All this really will save you time and money, resources you would otherwise have to invest on developers, CSShosting configurations, and so on.
You may be sure the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. If you have over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the complete package may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Banner Picture
ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packing good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a hassle they’d have if they attempted to manage funnels another way.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it has quite a few areas that require work.
A little drawback is the cost. There are just two alternatives, at either $97 a month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not another investment in your business a huge drawback, and like I have said, you receive a package for it.
Lackluster Client Service
Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been fine with basic queries, but if you ask them harder things, particularly about more innovative features, they will not be quite beneficial.
Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Creator
This isn’t an objective criticism of their product but that I take a small problem with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it’s hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They’ve a fantastic advertising. However, from a user experience perspective, it can acquire obtrusive. When you register for the applications, you may attempt to examine the purpose features of this software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and made to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.
This means you will end up buying online classes, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over members and articles consists of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they made. Although these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they’re more focused on making quick money rather than building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online classes, saturation of trainers and experts, and other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.
We know the creator is a marketing but much of this item is tied to his own brand and his philosophy. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything about it seems like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s hard to not get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when some aspects of their merchandise (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels however more about the community. As you’ve got the ability to personalize broadly within ClickFunnels, a lot of men and women use similar layouts. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large amount of ClickFunnel-y seems floating about. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will return or encounter some errors. Though this really doesn’t occur frequently, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or driving traffic to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a few hours, then you can potentially lose a good deal of cash.
It’s also hard to know when your pages are functioning or not, unless you always check or wait until you hear from angry customers. When I replicate pages using the HTML publishing alternative barring bandwidth, I deal with some glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options alter, etcand it seems ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.
I enjoy consistency in my applications if it is a business solution.
Finally, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it is too simple, and too expensive for its simplicity. These criticisms have a tendency to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which can be cheaper upfront and give more control over handling specific details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an simple to use package of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it is worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try the support , so at least you don’t have to commit to an expensive plan straight away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you receive two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).
Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some might say , and I could see why–especially if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 a month. But it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a fairly good job. Personally, I consider it a good investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the principal company, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the full list of features.
But, both plans have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide tests, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack feature that lets you characterize a product as a one-time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your clients cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domains; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Total Suite, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the section of the ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the differences, StartUp basically conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Package, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone instrument ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the full set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can view the complete official list .
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ attributes complete? I believe that they’re solid and you get whatever you want. They’re largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are great examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them separate segments. Clickfunnels Banner Picture
A/B split testing is definitely, although a feature a one.
If you duplicate a webpage and make changes to the backup, the split test basically enables you to select what percentages of your visitors you want to see per page, letting you test conversion rates very conveniently. It is a great function and simple to use.
I also believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and straightforward for different settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be simple to use, I thought the fundamental features were pretty good.
There are a number of types of available pre-made funnels, oriented to several kinds of businesses, and also you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I take a moment in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my opinion, Total Suite is three products being packaged together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it’s a bit more complicated. The chief objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics comes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to make managing an affiliate program easier and more effective.
But are such attributes, or products? Actionetics seems somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to market an iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but maybe I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Full Suite a bit perplexing and removes the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.
Here’s the full list of StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- boundless contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split tests
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order webpages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale pages
- Share your funnels

You may watch the full list of features, along with Full Package attributes, here. If you are in a situation where you are able to afford to try Etison for a little and you absolutely need an efficient, easy method of increasing earnings, I do not think you’d wind up shorted. By that same token, I really don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge advantage that you can not do without themfor many users, just StartUp will provide a comprehensive adequate bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is likely ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wanted to devote special attention. In fact, I feel a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it being a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction applications and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely with this particular landing page builder.
Anyway, there is rather a range of templates with great designs, though as you can expect, just the templates created by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel type, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.
You can even save certain templates and create personal page templates, and it’s pretty easy to find them. As you can see, it is possible to toggle with basic settings and open in the editor.
You be working with a drop and drag builder once your pages open in the editor. It’s a bit more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it’s still user friendly.
The editor utilizes a page structure with four main parts: sections, rows, columns, and components. Think of these components as fitting inside each other (this article has a very helpful diagram). Basically: elements, columns, and rows go inside of segments. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns go inside sections, but columns specifically enter rows. This way you may have around four, or a row with one column. Elements are the bits that go columns and make your page interactive to its customers.
It may sound complicated, but it’s pretty simple to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box since it is a section, but if I was hovering over a component, it would be orange.
A little criticism I have heard (but do not have ) about the builder is how grid-like it’s –you need to work within those rows and columns. Personally, I don’t believe this is a massive issue and the builder gives you sufficient hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it may be worth a mention.
I enjoy the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it functions ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different kinds of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For example, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few partners you may add to your integrations easily. Here’s a full list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations segment, you can search for these or simply click the search bar, and they will come up. It, just click on the one you want and insert it. Clickfunnels Banner Picture
The process for managing integrations is also simple, though you may have to look at your third party software’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the procedure straightforward. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some features, like the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very straightforward method of adding and managing integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get integrated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part separate from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways will also be the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be a lot of store unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing each these integrations is fairly easy–so long as you’re all set up using whatever tool you’re trying to integrate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations normally operate and you do not need to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main market is its simplicity of usage –as their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which allow the less experienced to save time and money. That being the case, assessing ease of usage is pretty significant.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some expertise.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I would say the learning curve would be only a few hours max. Pick up the books mentioned in the critique of Russell Brunson if you behind.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels on your own. They have a reasonable amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it appears to me like most queries should be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.
All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang . The core features of ClickFunnels–that the actual funnels–are fairly simple to control. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate into all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or payment processors will require a bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it is stuff you’ll be able to figure out by Googling around or seeing the docs center.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it is overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it probably won’t be enough to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It unites choice and customizability with convenience, and while I would indicate all prospective users enter with a few simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (talking from experience ) will find the maximum use out of it. There are variations in funnel types that appeal to a businesses over others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and those that offer B2B services will probably be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does well with people offering more products or ventures that are independent. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards these industries: for instance, if you are a florist, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a good way of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything on your own and your brand, there would be support too. The same goes for individuals selling content such as classes or books.
Of course, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I do not believe you need to determine if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only on their default funnel kinds. If you’re a smaller business, okay with the price , and you have to make your visitors work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anyone who wants to keep a much better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is only for SaaS companies, but still adequate. Their page has a series of classes. It may be simple, however it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Banner Picture
As for the direct customer assistance, they have a feature within the dashboard after you log into, but I am not too delighted by it. They’ve generally been useful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more complex questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one HTML publishing query, they took to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users will not require that kind of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t offer that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Furthermore, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. Notably, in cases when features have not worked as promised or when there were weird site malfunctions, client service representatives were either unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, because of site error, a number of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. When he contacted customer support, he discovered they were unhelpful and apathetic. It may be a scenario that is weird, improbable, but it illustrates the point.
Overall Support Rating
I would not say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I think that the team mostly understand that their services are not simple to use and/or involve tools new for their users, and they’ve put resources in their support to make it decent. At least basic questions will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Maybe most users, myself included, would not state ClickFunnels has exceptional customer support, but it largely meets. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the conclusion that is overarching? It is good! It is a legitimate contender in the marketing software area and worth trying out.
Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: Should you need a more answer to your marketing needs with customization abilities, you might want to check. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with customer service agents, or some glitches in the program. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering everything, I do not think any of these outweigh the solid landing page builder, let other positives such as superior templates, integrations that are solid, and the learning curve.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center objective–to make it simpler for you to funnel visitors and reach higher conversion rates. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be useful for less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I am pretty certain that for the vast majority of users, the webpage builder provides option. If you’re looking for a simple but powerful sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. On promises, it has not attained its popularity In the end, and that I’m giving 4/5 celebrities to it.
