What’s ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just 3 years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using otherwise complex advertising technologies, known as sales funnels (more about those in a second).

The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his invention, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, but not just from ClickFunnels, but marketing experiences. He played around with email advertising for some time, and began to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets two novels, and Secrets his fans rave that direct and about people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website Clickfunnels Background Video

ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his team create funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would usually take months. They soon realized their production would be helpful to others and had great potential as a product.

Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes individuals who do not know you personally and turns them to customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of steps developed to direct a website visitor into the checkout page.

There’s a dull method of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Step 2: Envision this funnel is actually a metaphor, and rather than actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients you telephone internet traffic or site visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, many of your visitors doesn’t turn . In a brick and mortar shop, that’s like people walking into your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without purchasing anything. At a physical store, you can speak your customers. In a store that is digital, you could be a little more distant from the customers. This is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to attract your customers’ through principles of psychology. The funnel works step-by-step, bring traffic in closer and closer till visitors end up in a payment page.

You are right, if you feel that sounds cool –it’s turned into a massive bargain for internet marketing. Russell Brunson did become wealthy by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I’ve got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to help save time and energy–to do what otherwise demands a whole lot of proficiency and/or an array of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making money. They make it very easy to make your account, put your content up, and start taking payments. Plus, it’s rather simple to pick up everything –it’ll probably take you a couple hours to figure out most of what you need, max.

Drag and Drop Builder

Quite a few features are very useful here. I enjoy how simple it is to duplicate pages, and the fact I can save templates for use again later. Their page builder is a attribute that is fairly important, and they have pulled it off well. It is an easy to use drag and drop builder As soon as you become accustomed to it.

A/B testing

Built in A/B testing is great. All you have to do is duplicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and pick the numbers of your traffic you want to view version A or B.

Great Choice of Integrations

I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to control.

WordPress Plugin

You’ll also find a WordPress plugin which lets you add ClickFunnels webpages. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active setups.

All in one

In general, it’s good to have things so concentrated: I can construct my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.

All this really will save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise have to invest on programmers, CSShosting configurations, and so on.

Reasonable Worth

You can be sure the lower-tiered accounts is a great investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp account is pretty decent. If you’ve got more than 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the complete suite may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Background Video

ClickFunnels isn’t perfect, but it does a great job of packaging great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they would have if they attempted to handle funnels another way.

Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review

I’ve got some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has quite a few places that require work.

A small drawback is the price. There are just two alternatives, at $97 a month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this isn’t like I have said , another investment in your business, and a drawback, you get a fantastic package for it.

Lackluster Client Service

Beyond this, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with basic questions, but if you ask them more difficult things, especially about more innovative features, they won’t be very helpful.

Cult-like user base and applications also reliant on Creator

This isn’t an objective criticism of the merchandise but I take a small problem with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is hard to escape the hype. They’ve a great advertising for sure. However, from a user experience perspective, it can get obtrusive. When you register for the software, you may attempt to look at the objective features of this software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising methods.

This usually means you will find yourself purchasing online courses, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and many articles consists of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they created. Though these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they’re more concentrated on earning quick cash rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line courses, saturation of coaches and specialists, and other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.

A lot of the product is tied to his doctrine and his own brand, although Most of us know the creator is a marketing wizard. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it looks to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.

At times it’s hard not to get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when some aspects of the merchandise (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one is not on ClickFunnels however more on the neighborhood. While you’ve got the capability to customize broadly within ClickFunnels, a lot of people use layouts. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great amount of ClickFunnel-y looks floating about. Diversity is vital.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some errors or will go down. Though this doesn’t occur often, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a great deal in advertising or forcing visitors to your own funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a few hours, then you can potentially lose a good deal of money.

It’s also difficult to know when your pages are working or not, if you don’t constantly wait or wait till you hear from angry clients. Barring bandwidth, I also deal with a few glitches when I clone pages using the HTML publishing alternative.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices change, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.

I like consistency in my applications, especially if it’s a business solution.

Too Simple

Finally, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with : it’s too simple, and too expensive because of its simplicity. These criticisms have a tendency to refer to home improvement approaches that can be cheaper upfront and yield more control over handling certain details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use package of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels includes two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively known as ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it’s worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try out the support , so at least you do not have to commit to an expensive plan right away. If you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Package ).

Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some would say , and I can see why–especially if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 per month. But it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to make funnels more effective, and it does a pretty good job. I consider it a fantastic investment.

The main differences between an entry level consideration and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the principal service, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the complete list of features.

However, both plans have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split tests, and some other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite includes a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality that lets you describe a product as a one-time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your clients cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domains; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Total Suite, do not worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the subsequent section of this ClickFunnels review.

To outline the differences, StartUp essentially conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two other services–Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You can view the complete official record .

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ attributes complete? I believe that they’re solid and you get whatever you need. They’re largely intuitive and supply you with a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all great examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them different segments. Clickfunnels Background Video

A/B split testing is a smaller feature, but unquestionably a one.

If you duplicate a webpage and make changes to the copy, the split test essentially lets you select what percentages of the visitors you want to see per page, letting you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It’s easy to use and a function.

In addition, I believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for different settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be simple to work with, I believed the fundamental features were pretty good.

There are a number of kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to several kinds of companies, and also you can of course build your own funnel from scratch too.

Actionetics and Backpack

I have a moment in this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Total Suite is just three products being packaged as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What’s Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an e-mail or just an auto-responder, but it is a little more complicated. The chief goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail in addition to email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool supposed to make managing an affiliate program easier and more effective.

However, are these attributes, or products that are separate? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to sell an iffy email auto-responder for me, but perhaps I am just cynical. In any case, it makes Complete Suite a bit confusing and removes the coherency you get with the original ClickFunnels.

Here is the Complete list of StartUp features
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • unlimited contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split tests
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All advanced funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Endless members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Order webpages
  • Upsell pages
  • Downsale pages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per type

You may view the full list of features, along with complete Suite features, here. If you’re in a position where you are able to afford to try Etison for a little and you absolutely require an efficient, easy way of increasing sales, I don’t believe you would wind up shorted. By that same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge advantage that you can’t do without them: for many users, just StartUp will offer a thorough enough bundle.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is ClickFunnels’ main attribute, so I wished to devote attention to it. In reality, I think a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it being a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building applications and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it largely for this particular landing page builder.

Anyway, there’s rather a range of templates with good layouts, though as you can expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel type, therefore poking around is not too hard.

You might also save certain templates and make personal page templates, and it is rather easy to find them. You can toggle with settings and open from the editor as you can see.

You be working using a drag and drop builder When your pages start from the editor. It’s a little more complicated than some other light page builders, but it is still user friendly.

The editor uses a webpage structure with four chief parts: sections, rows, columns, and elements. Think of these parts as fitting within each other (this article has a very helpful diagram). Basically: columns, rows, and elements go inside of sections. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns go inside sections, but columns especially go into rows. This way you can have a row with a single column, or around four. Elements are the bits that also make your page interactive and go columns.

It may sound complicated, but it’s pretty simple to get the hang . Everything is color-coded–for example, in the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box since it is a section, however when I was hovering over a component, it could be orange.

You could even edit by section, row, column, etc, via the side bar. All of the small details and parts of your page can be altered or moved. The editor allows for plenty of customization, but offers control that is good . You can do all sorts of things–cellular previews, edit colors, text, configurations, and just about anything you expect. If you are handy with code, then you may also add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I’ve heard (but do not have personally) about the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you have to work within those rows and columns. Personally, I do not think this is a massive problem and the builder provides you enough control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
I like the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to earn money online.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional advertising and marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of different types of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. For example, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are registered with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few partners you may enhance your integrations. Here’s a list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Continuous Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to a integrations section, you can look for these or just click the search bar, and they will come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, just click the one. Clickfunnels Background Video

The process for handling integrations can also be straightforward, though you might have to check your third party software’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the procedure pretty straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some features, such as the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very simple way of incorporating and managing integrations.

Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get integrated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part separate from integrations. They may be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they are the integrations that allow your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be much of a shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.

A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Managing each of these integrations is fairly easy–as long as you are all set up using whatever tool you’re attempting to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations normally operate and you do not have to fret much.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its ease of use–as their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’tech men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that enable the less experienced to save money and time. That being the case, evaluating ease of use is pretty important.

Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some expertise.

Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it may be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I’d say that the learning curve could be just a couple hours max. If you behind, pick up Russell Brunson’s books mentioned earlier in the review.

Anyway, ClickFunnels is unquestionably easier than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a reasonable amount of documentation, and it might not be ideal, but it appears to me as if most questions must be covered, and you could always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.

All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang . The center features of ClickFunnels–the actual funnels–are fairly simple to control. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or payment processors will require a little bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere near the quantity of knowledge you would have to actually code the funnels–it’s things you’ll be able to figure out by Googling around or seeing the docs center.

Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it is overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it likely won’t be sufficient to hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 at simplicity of use. It unites choice and customizability with ease, and while I would indicate all prospective users input with a few simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.

Who is ClickFunnels for?

Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (talking from experience ) will find the maximum use out of it. There are naturally variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some businesses.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and even those that offer B2B services will most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does creative products or ventures that are individual. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those industries: for instance, if you’re a gentleman, you may come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you are attempting to center everything there could be great support too. The same holds for people selling content such as publications or classes.

Obviously, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I don’t think you should decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely on their default funnel kinds. If you are a smaller company, alright with the price tag, and you have to make your visitors work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anyone who wants to keep a much better landing page.

Client Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is sufficient, although just for SaaS companies. Their page includes a series of classes. It might be easy, however it isn’t too shabby. Clickfunnels Background Video

As for the customer service, they’ve a chat feature inside the dashboard after you log in, but I am not pleased by it. They’ve been useful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I have had more complex questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing query, they required to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users won’t require that sort of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t offer that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. Notably, in cases when attributes have not worked if there were bizarre site malfunctions or as promised, customer service reps were allegedly unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, a number of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. He found they were unhelpful and apathetic, After he contacted customer support. It illustrates the point, although it might be a weird, unlikely scenario.

Overall Support Rating

I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel the team mostly understand that their solutions are not easy to use and/or involve tools fresh to their customers, and they have put resources in their support to make it decent. At least fundamental questions will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Perhaps most consumers, myself included, would not state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets. Within this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

So, what’s the conclusion that is overarching? It is fine! It is a legitimate competitor in the marketing software space and worth trying out.

Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: Should you need a more answer to your advertising needs with customization abilities, you might want to look. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or some glitches in the software. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.

But you know what? Considering everything, I do not think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let other positives such as solid integrations, the brief learning curve, and templates that are good.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center goal –to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and reach higher conversion rates. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be quite helpful for less entrepreneurs. I am pretty sure that for the huge majority of users, the page builder provides choice. If you’re looking to get a simple but solid sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a great tool. It has not attained its popularity on promises, and that is why I am giving it 4/5 celebrities.
