ClickFunnels has made a fairly big name for itself since it started, becoming one of the most significant advertising SaaS (Software as a Service) businesses round. I suppose it is no surprise–ClickFunnels is all about earning its users cash. It’s about giving software which helps their own website visitors turn into clients to businesses. It is no wonder ClickFunnels has grown so much in such a brief time period.
There is not any denying it’s popular, but does this mean it’s well worth it? How much can we hope the crowd on this one? In this ClickFunnels review, I will undergo the gist of ClickFunnels–what it really is, the positives and the negatives, the features, customer service, and so forth. I am basing this review on my experience with ClickFunnels’ StartUp program, which includes the ClickFunnels features and tons of bells and whistles. ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only three years it has been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using differently complex advertising technology, known as sales funnels (more on those in a second).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous as his creation, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but advertising adventures. He played with email advertising for some time, and eventually started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets, two books his fans rave that direct and about people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website . Clickfunnels Background Image
ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his team create funnels more quickly for different ventures, as developing funnels would normally take weeks. They had good potential as a product and soon realized their creation would be helpful to others.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes people who do not understand you personally and turns them into customers, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of steps developed to guide a web site visitor.
There is a method of considering it. Step 1: Imagine a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you telephone internet traffic or site traffic. Your website visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that still doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors into customers. In a brick and mortar store, that’s like people walking into your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without buying anything. You can talk your customers. In a store, you could be a little more remote from your customers. This is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your clients’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel functions step-by-step, bring visitors in closer and closer till people wind up at a payment page.
If you feel that sounds cool, you are right–it’s become a huge bargain for online marketing. Russell Brunson did become wealthy by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to help save time and energy–to do exactly what demands a whole lot of competence and/or an array of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
One of the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on earning money. They make it put your content up, quite simple to produce your accounts, and start taking payments. Additionally, it is rather easy to pick everything up–it’ll likely take you a few hours to figure out most of what you require, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are extremely useful here. I enjoy how easy it’s to duplicate pages, and the fact I can save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a fairly important attribute, and they have pulled it. It is an simple to use drag and drop builder, once you become accustomed to it.
Built in A/B testing is excellent too. All you have to do is duplicate a webpage, make your changes, and choose the numbers of your traffic you want to see variant A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment chips are not too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to control.
You’ll also find a handy WordPress plugin which lets you insert ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress site. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle compared to working between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active setups.
All in one
Overall, it’s good to get things so centralized: I can build my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.
All of this really does save time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to invest on programmers, CSShosting configurations, and so on.
You may be sure the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you are permitted for a StartUp account is really decent. In case you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the full package might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Background Image
ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a great job of packing great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably conserves most users a hassle they would have if they attempted to manage funnels another manner.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it has quite a few places that require work.
A little drawback is the cost. There are two options, at either $97 per month or $297 per month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not another investment in your organization, a drawback, and like I’ve mentioned, you get a good package for it.
Lackluster Client Support
Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with basic queries, but if you ask them harder things, particularly about more innovative features, they will not be very helpful.
Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Creator
This is not an objective criticism of their merchandise but I take a small issue with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They’ve a advertising for sure. However, from a user experience perspective, it can get obtrusive. When you sign up for the software, you may attempt to look at the purpose features of the software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s marketing methods.
This means you will find yourself buying online classes, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and posts is composed of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they made. Although these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they’re more focused on earning quick money rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online classes, saturation of trainers and specialists, and other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.
So much of the product is tied into his philosophy and his own brand, although we all know the creator is a marketing magician. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything about it looks like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s difficult to not get the sensation which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, especially when a few elements of the product (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more about the community. While you’ve got the capability to customize within ClickFunnels, a lot of people use similar layouts. Taking into consideration the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks floating around. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels encounter some errors or will return. Though this really doesn’t occur often, there is little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a great deal in advertising or forcing visitors to your own funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts your pages down for even a few hours, then you may potentially lose a good deal of cash.
It’s also hard to know when your pages are working or not, if you don’t constantly wait or wait till you hear from angry clients. When I replicate webpages using the HTML publishing option barring uptime, I also deal with a few glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing choices change, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring out things.
I enjoy consistency within my software if it’s a business alternative.
Finally, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it’s too simple, and too pricey for its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that can be more economical upfront and yield more control over managing certain details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use bundle of resources, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to try out the support , in order you don’t need to commit to an expensive program right away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you receive two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).
Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some might say so, and that I could see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that starts at $25 a month. However, it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to make funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly great job. Personally, I consider it a good investment.
The main differences between an entry level consideration and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the principal service, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just some of the full list of features.
However, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split tests, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack feature which lets you describe a product as a one time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your customers pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domains; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Package, don’t worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the subsequent section of this ClickFunnels review.
To outline the gaps, StartUp basically carries the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You can view the complete official list .
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ attributes complete? I think they’re solid and you get whatever you need. They’re largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I’ll be giving them separate sections. Clickfunnels Background Image
A/B split testing is a feature, but definitely a one.
If you duplicate a webpage and also make changes to the copy, the split test basically lets you choose what percentages of your traffic you want to see per page, letting you test conversion rates very conveniently. It is a function and easy to use.
I also think ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for different settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a common theme among some criticisms), but as the service is supposed to be easy to use, I believed the basic features were pretty great.
There are quite a few types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented into several types of companies, and also you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I’ll just take a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. In my view, Total Suite is three products being packaged as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it’s exactly what many would call an email auto-responder or only an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complex. The main objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to create managing an affiliate program simpler and more effective.
However, are such attributes, or different products? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to sell an iffy email auto-responder to me, but maybe I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Complete Suite a little confusing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.
Here is the Complete list of all StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- unlimited contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split tests
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order pages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale pages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per form
You may view the complete list of features, along with Full Suite attributes, here. If you’re in a position where you can manage to try Etison for a little and you absolutely need an efficient, simple method of increasing earnings, I do not think you would wind up shorted. By that same token, I don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a massive benefit that you can not do without them: for many users, simply StartUp will provide a comprehensive enough package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wanted to devote attention to it. In fact, I think a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it turned into a really solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction applications and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it largely for this landing page builder.
Anyway, there is rather a range of templates with great layouts, though as you may expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel type, therefore poking around is not too hard.
You can also save certain templates and also make own page templates, and it’s rather simple to see them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings that are basic and open in the editor.
When your pages start in the editor, you will essentially be working using a drag and drop builder. It’s a little more complex than some other light page builders, but it’s still easy to use.
The editor uses a webpage structure with four main parts: sections, columns, rows, and components. Think of these components as fitting within each other (this informative article has a very helpful diagram). Basically: columns, rows, and elements go inside of segments. You can have multiple sections per page. Rows and columns go indoors sections, but columns especially enter rows. This way you can have up to four, or a row with one column. Elements are the dynamic bits that go columns and also make your page interactive.
It may sound complicated, but it’s rather easy to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for example, from the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box since it’s a section, but when I had been hovering over a component, it could be orange.
A small criticism I have heard (but don’t have ) on the builder is the way grid-like it is–you need to work within those rows and columns. Personally, I don’t believe this is a massive issue and the builder gives you enough control without sacrificing ease of use, but it may be worth a mention.
Overall, I like the page builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different kinds of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of example, you might add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few notable partners you may enhance your integrations. Here’s a full list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations section, you can search for these or simply click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, simply click on the one you desire and add it. Clickfunnels Background Image
The process for handling integrations is also straightforward, though you may have to check your third party software’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the procedure pretty straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than a few attributes, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have an extremely simple way of adding and handling integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part separate from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also what they sound like: they are the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be much of a store unless you are using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing each these integrations is pretty easy–so long as you are all set up using whatever tool you’re attempting to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations run and you don’t need to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its simplicity of usage –because their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’tech guys! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the most important service ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that allow the less experienced to save money and time. That being the case, assessing ease of use is pretty important.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some experience.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I’d say that the learning curve could be only a couple hours maximum. Pick up the books mentioned in the review of Russell Brunson, if you behind.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it seems to me as if most questions must be covered, and you could always contact a customer service representative if it comes to it.
All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang of. The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the actual funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations involving email integrations or charge processors will want a little bit of understanding, but it is nowhere near the quantity of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it’s stuff you’ll be able to figure out by Googling around or visiting the docs centre.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it likely won’t be enough to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It combines alternative and customizability with convenience, and while I’d suggest all prospective users input with a few basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (talking from experience ) will get the most use out of it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to a businesses.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and even those offering B2B services would most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does nicely with people offering more ventures that are individual or innovative products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards these businesses: for example, if you’re a gentleman, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you are attempting to center everything there could be support too. The same holds for individuals selling content such as books or courses.
Obviously, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not think you should decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely on their default funnel kinds. If you’re a smaller company, alright with the price tag, and you need to make your visitors work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anybody who would like to keep a better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting decent documentation on-site. I think their documentation is just barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but nevertheless sufficient. Their docs page has a series of classes. Content-wise it isn’t too shabby, although it may be simple. Clickfunnels Background Image
As the direct customer assistance, they’ve a feature inside the dashboard once you log into for, but I’m not too pleased with it. They’ve been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more complex questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing query, they required to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not require that kind of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t provide that level of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. Notably, in instances when features haven’t worked as promised or if there were site malfunctions, customer support reps were supposedly either unhelpful or unresponsive. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, a number of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only articles. He discovered they were unhelpful and apathetic when he contacted customer support. It might be a improbable scenario, but it illustrates the point.
Overall Support Rating
I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think the team mostly understand that their services are not absolutely easy to use and/or demand tools fresh to their users, and they have put enough resources in their support to make it adequate. At least queries will be answered, and they are pretty responsive. Maybe consumers wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it meets. Within this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the conclusion? It is fine! It is a legitimate contender in the marketing program area and worth trying out.
Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: you may want to check into third party options you’ll be able to tie together Should you need a more hands-on answer to your marketing needs with higher customization skills. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with customer service agents, or some glitches in the software. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone advantages such as integrations that are solid, the brief learning curve, and templates that are good.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and attain higher conversion rates. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be helpful for less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I am pretty sure that for the majority of users, the webpage builder provides enough choice. If you are looking first and foremost for an sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. It has not attained its popularity on empty promises, and that is why I’m giving it 4/5 stars.
