What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just 3 years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to market things online using differently complicated advertising technologies, called sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).

The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He has made a fortune, but not only from ClickFunnels, but advertising adventures. He played with email marketing for some time, and started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets, two novels his lovers rave about and that direct people through his marketing methodologies. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website Clickfunnels Assets

ClickFunnels started out as a way to help Brunson and his staff produce funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would normally take months. They soon realized their production would be useful to other people and had good potential as a product.

What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes individuals who do not understand you and turns them to customers, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of measures developed to guide a web site visitor.

There is a less dull method of considering it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you telephone web traffic or site visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, many of your visitors doesn’t turn . In a physical store, that’s like people walking in to your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without purchasing anything. At a store, you can talk your customers into buying something. In a digital shop, you could be a bit more distant from the visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your clients’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel functions incremental, draw traffic in closer and closer until people end up in a page.

You are right if you think this sounds cool –it’s become a massive deal for advertising. Russell Brunson did become rich by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it as well.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I’ve got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to help save time and energyto do exactly what requires a lot of technological proficiency and/or a range of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making money. They make it put up your content, simple to produce your accounts, and begin taking payments. Additionally, it’s pretty easy to pick up everything –it will probably take you a couple hours to find out most of what you require, max.

Drag and Drop Builder

Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I like how simple it is to duplicate pages, and also the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a feature that is pretty important, and they have pulled it. As soon as you become accustomed to it, it’s an builder.

A/B analyzing

Built in A/B testing is excellent too. All you need to do is duplicate a page, make your changes, and choose the numbers of your traffic you want to see variant A or B.

Great selection of Integrations

I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to control.

WordPress Plugin

You’ll also find a WordPress plugin which allows you add ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress website. It saves a good deal of time and is much less of a hassle compared to working between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active setups.

All in 1

Overall, it’s good to get things so centralized: I will build my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.

All this really does save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to spend on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.

Reasonable Worth

You can rest assured that the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp accounts is really decent. If you have over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the complete package may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Assets

ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a great job of packaging good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they would have when they attempted to manage funnels another way.

Cons: Clickfunnels Review

I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has a number of areas that need work.

A little drawback is the price. There are just two pricing alternatives, at either $97 per month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t another investment in your organization, a massive drawback, and like I’ve said, you get a fantastic package for it.

Lackluster Customer Service

Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been fine with fundamental queries, but if you ask them more difficult things, especially about more innovative features, they won’t be quite beneficial.

Cult-like user base and applications also reliant on Founder

This is not an objective criticism of their merchandise but that I take a small problem with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They’ve a great marketing. But from a user experience perspective, it can acquire obtrusive. When you register for the applications, you may attempt to examine the purpose features of this software and incorporate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s marketing procedures.

This means you’ll end up purchasing online classes, publications, attending conventions, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and articles consists of people bragging about how much money they created and flashing their sport cars. Though these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they are more focused on earning quick cash rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line courses, saturation of trainers and specialists, along with other spammy internet marketer stuff.

Much of the product is tied to his philosophy and his brand, although we all know the creator is a marketing magician. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it seems to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.

Sometimes it’s difficult not to get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, particularly when some elements of their merchandise (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more on the community. While you’ve got the ability to personalize within ClickFunnels, a lot of men and women use designs. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a large amount of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is vital.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some mistakes or will return. Though this really doesn’t occur frequently, there’s little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or forcing visitors to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts your pages down for even a few hours, you may potentially lose a good deal of cash.

In addition, it is difficult to know when your pages are working or not, if you don’t constantly check or wait until you hear from angry clients. When I replicate pages using the HTML printing alternative, barring uptime, I deal with some glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options change, etcand it appears ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.

I like consistency within my applications, especially if it is a business solution.

Too Simple

Finally, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it’s too easy, and too pricey for its simplicity. All these criticisms have a tendency to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which may be more economical upfront and give more control over handling specific details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use bundle of resources, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels includes two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and Full Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to test the support , in order you do not have to commit to a costly plan straight away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).

Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some might say so, and that I could see why–especially in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that starts at $25 a month. But it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a pretty great job. Personally, I consider it a fantastic investment.

The main differences between an entry level consideration and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the principal company, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the full list of features.

But, both plans have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide tests, and a few other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite has a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality that allows you characterize a product as a one-time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your clients cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domain names; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Package, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of the ClickFunnels review.

To outline the gaps, StartUp essentially carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You can watch the complete official record here.

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I believe that they’re strong and you get everything you need. They’re largely intuitive and supply you with a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are all great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them different segments. Clickfunnels Assets

A/B split testing is a smaller feature, but unquestionably a one.

If you duplicate a page and also make changes to the backup, the split test basically enables you to choose what percentages of the traffic that you need to view per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It’s a great function and simple to use.

I also think ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for other settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a common theme among a few criticisms), but while the support is supposed to be simple to use, I thought the fundamental features were pretty great.

There are quite a few kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to different kinds of businesses, and you can of course build your own funnel from scratch too.

Actionetics and Backpack

I take a minute within this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. Full Suite is three products being packaged together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What’s Actionetics? Well, it is exactly what many would call an e-mail or just an auto-responder, but it’s a bit more complicated. The main goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to create managing an affiliate program simpler and more effective.

However, are these attributes, or products? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to sell an iffy email auto-responder for me personally, but perhaps I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Complete Suite a bit perplexing and removes the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.

Here is the full list of StartUp attributes
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • unlimited contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split evaluations
  • Mail integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All advanced funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Endless members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Order pages
  • Upsell pages
  • Downsale pages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 billing integration per type

You may view the complete list of features, along with Full Suite attributes, here. If you are in a position where you can manage to try Etison for a bit and you also absolutely require an efficient, easy way of increasing earnings, I do not believe you’d wind up shorted. By that same token, I don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge benefit that you can’t do without them: for most users, simply StartUp will offer a thorough adequate bundle.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is likely ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wanted to devote special attention. In reality, I feel a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it turned into a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building applications and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this landing page builder.

Anyhow, there is rather an array of templates with great layouts, though as you may expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel type, so poking around isn’t too hard.

You can even save certain templates and create own page templates, and it is pretty simple to find them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings and open in the editor.

Once you start your pages from the editor, you be working with a drag and drop builder. It is a little more complex than some other light page builders, but it is still user friendly.

The editor utilizes a webpage structure with four main components: sections, rows, columns, and elements. Think of these parts as fitting inside every other (this article includes a very helpful diagram). Basically: rows, columns, and components go inside of segments. You can have multiple sections per page. Rows and columns move indoors sections, but columns especially go into rows. This way you can have up to four, or a row with one column. Elements are the bits that go columns and make your page interactive.

It might sound complex, but it is rather simple to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for example, in the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box because it’s a part, but if I was hovering over a component, it would be orange.

You can edit section, row, column, and so on, through the side bar. Parts of your webpage and all of the details can be altered or moved. The template editor allows for lots of customization, but offers control that is good . You can do a variety of things–mobile previews, edit colours, text, configurations, and just about anything you anticipate. If you are handy with code, then you may even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A small criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have personally) on the builder is how grid-like it’s –you need to work within those columns and rows. Personally, I do not think this is a huge issue and the builder gives you enough hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
I like the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money online.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you incorporate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of different types of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of instance, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re registered with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has quite a few partners you may enhance your integrations readily. Here’s a Complete list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Continuous Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations section, you can search for these or just click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click on the one. Clickfunnels Assets

The process for managing integrations is also straightforward, though you might need to check your third party program’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. Overall, you’ll find the procedure pretty simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than a few features, like the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely simple method of adding and managing integrations.

Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part different from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be a lot of shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.

A list of the payment gateways you can include:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Managing all of these integrations is fairly simple –so long as you are all set up using whatever tool you’re trying to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations normally run and you don’t have to fret much about them.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ most important sell is its ease of use–as their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’tech men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which allow the less experienced save time and money. That being the case, assessing ease of usage is really important.

Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you should still have some experience.

Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I’d say the learning curve would be just a few hours max. Pick up the books mentioned in the review of Russell Brunson if you are actually behind.

Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels on your own. They have a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be ideal, but it seems to me like most queries must be covered, and you could always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.

All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The center features of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations involving email integrations or payment processors will require a little bit of understanding, but it is nowhere near the amount of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it is stuff you can figure out by Googling about or seeing the docs center.

Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it likely won’t be sufficient to hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It unites alternative and customizability with ease, and while I would indicate all potential users enter with some simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.

Who is ClickFunnels for?

Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience here) will find the maximum use from it. There are variations in funnel types that appeal to some companies more than others.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and even those that offer B2B services would most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does innovative products or ventures. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards these businesses: for example, if you’re a florist, you may come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything there could be support too. The same goes for people selling content such as classes or publications.

Obviously, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t think you should determine if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely on their default funnel kinds. If you’re a smaller company, alright with the price tag, and you need to produce your visitors work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your time or money with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anybody who wants to keep a much better landing page.

Customer Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area which consists of a few nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for getting decent documentation on-site. I think their documentation is adequate, although just for SaaS companies. Their page has a series of classes, each with their own posts. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it might be simple. Clickfunnels Assets

As for the customer service that is direct, they have a chat feature inside the dashboard after you log into, but I’m not too delighted with it. They have been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more advanced questions, I’ve found them fairly unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they required to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not require that kind of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t offer that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. In cases when attributes have not worked as promised or if there were weird site malfunctions, client service reps were supposedly either unhelpful or unresponsive. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, some of his clients were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. He found they were unhelpful and apathetic when he contacted customer support. It illustrates the point, although it may be a scenario that is bizarre, unlikely.

Overall Support Rating

I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I think the team understand that their solutions are not perfectly easy to use and/or involve tools fresh for their users, and they have put resources in their support to make it adequate. At least questions will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Most users, myself included, wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets a minimum that makes it. In this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

What’s the overarching conclusion? It is good–4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate competitor in the advertising software area and worth trying out.

Yeah, there are a few drawbacks: If you want a more hands-on solution to your advertising needs with higher customization abilities, you may want to check into third party choices you’ll be able to connect. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or any glitches in the software. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone additional positives like templates, integrations that are solid, and the learning curve.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and attain higher conversion rates. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be quite useful for significantly less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I am pretty certain that for the majority of users, the page builder provides enough option. If you’re looking to get an easy but powerful sales alternative or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. On empty promises, it has not reached its popularity In the end, and that is why I am giving 4/5 stars to it.
