What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only three years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using differently complex marketing technology, known as sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his creation, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, but not just from ClickFunnels, but other marketing adventures. He played with email advertising for some time, and eventually started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets and Secrets, two books that his fans rave about and that direct people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Clickfunnels Articles
ClickFunnels started out as a way to help Brunson and his staff create funnels more quickly for different ventures, as creating funnels would normally take months. But they had great potential as a commodity and soon realized their creation would be helpful to others.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a process that takes individuals who do not understand you personally and turns them to clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps developed to direct a web site visitor into the checkout page.
There’s a way of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you telephone internet traffic or website visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors into clients. In a brick and mortar store, that is like people walking into your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so they leave the shop without buying anything. You can speak your customers into buying something. In a digital store, you could be a little more distant from your customers. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your customers’ through principles of psychology. The funnel works step-by-step, bring visitors in closer and closer till people end up in a payment page.
If you feel this sounds cool, you’re right–it’s turned into a huge deal for online advertising. Russell Brunson did not just get rich by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some good information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to help save you time and energy–to do what otherwise requires a whole lot of technological proficiency and/or a range of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
One of the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making money for the consumer. They make it put up your content, easy to make your account, and begin taking payments. Plus, it is rather simple to pick everything up–it will likely take you a few hours to find out most of what you need, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are very useful here. I like how simple it is to replicate pages, and also the fact I can save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a fairly important feature, and they’ve pulled it off well. It is an builder As soon as you become used to it.
Built in A/B testing is great. All you have to do is replicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and pick the amounts of your traffic that you wish to see variant A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations pretty well. Email autoresponders and payment chips aren’t too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are easy to manage.
You’ll also find a useful WordPress plugin that lets you insert ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress site. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin , using over 20,000 active setups.
All in one
Overall, it’s great to get things so centralized: I can construct my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and activate emails all from one platform.
All of this really will save time and money, resources you would otherwise have to invest on programmers, CSShosting configurations, etc.
You may be sure the lower-tiered accounts is a good investment–what you are permitted for a StartUp account is pretty decent. In case you’ve got more than 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, then the complete package might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Articles
ClickFunnels isn’t perfect, but it does a great job of packing great tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they would have if they tried to handle funnels another way.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has a number of places that need work.
A little drawback is the price. There are two pricing alternatives, at $97 a month or $297 per month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not a drawback, another investment in your organization, and like I have mentioned, you receive a package for it.
Lackluster Client Service
Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been fine with fundamental questions, but if you ask them harder things, especially about more advanced features, they won’t be very beneficial.
Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Founder
This is not an objective criticism of the merchandise but that I take a slight problem with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a great marketing. However, from a user experience perspective, it can get obtrusive. Once you sign up for the applications, you may attempt to examine the objective features of the software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s marketing methods.
This usually means you will end up purchasing online courses, publications, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and posts consists of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they made. Although these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they’re more focused on earning quick cash instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online courses, saturation of trainers and experts, along with other spammy internet marketer stuff.
We know the creator is a marketing magician, but so much of the product is tied to his doctrine and his own brand. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it seems to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s hard to not get the feeling that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, especially when some aspects of the product (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels but more on the community. While you’ve got the ability to customize within ClickFunnels, many people use layouts. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large quantity of ClickFunnel-y seems. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or encounter some errors. Though this really doesn’t occur often, there’s little you can do but wait. If you are investing a great deal in advertising or driving visitors to your own funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a couple of hours, you can potentially lose a lot of money.
It’s also hard to know when your pages are working or not, unless you always check or wait until you hear from angry customers. Barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches when I replicate pages using the HTML printing alternative.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options change, etcand it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring things out.
I enjoy consistency in my applications if it is a business alternative.
Finally, a criticism I’ve heard but do not quite agree with : it is too simple, and too expensive for its simplicity. All these criticisms have a tendency to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that can be cheaper upfront and yield more control over handling certain details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an simple to use bundle of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it is worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to test out the support , so at least you don’t have to commit to an expensive plan straight away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).
Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some would say , and I can see why–particularly in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 per month. However, it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly good job. I consider it a good investment.
The principal differences between an entry level consideration along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the main company, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the full list of features.
But, both plans have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split tests, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a full list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack feature that lets you describe a product as a one-time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your customers pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domains; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Package, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the following section of the ClickFunnels review.
To outline the gaps, StartUp basically conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Package, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone instrument ClickFunnels with two other providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels features. You can view the full official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I believe that they’re solid and you get whatever you need. They’re largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them separate sections. Clickfunnels Articles
A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a smaller feature a one.
If you replicate a webpage and also make changes to the copy, the split test basically enables you to choose what percentages of your visitors that you want to see per page, letting you examine conversion rates very handily. It’s a fantastic function and simple to use.
In addition, I believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for different settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be easy to use, I thought the fundamental features were fairly great.
There are a number of kinds of available pre-made funnels, oriented to several types of businesses, and you can of course build your own funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I will only take a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my opinion, Total Suite is three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complex. The main objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which result in smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Together with Actionetics comes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool designed to make managing an affiliate program easier and more effective.
But are such features, or products? Actionetics seems somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to sell an iffy email auto-responder for me, but maybe I’m just cynical. In any case, it makes Complete Suite a bit confusing and removes the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.
Here is the Complete list of all StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- unlimited contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase webpages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per form
You can watch the full list of features, together with complete Suite features, here. If you are in a situation where you are able to manage to try out Etison for a bit and you also absolutely need an efficient, simple method of increasing sales, I don’t think you’d wind up shorted. By that same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge benefit that you can’t do without them: for most users, simply StartUp will offer a thorough enough package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is likely ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wished to devote special attention to it. In reality, I feel a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top score has to do with it turned into a really solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely with this landing page builder.
Anyway, there’s rather a range of templates with great layouts, though as you can expect, just the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel kind, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.
You might also save certain templates and also create own page templates, and it is rather easy to find them. As you can see, it is possible to toggle with fundamental settings and open from the editor.
You’ll basically be working using a drop and drag builder When your pages start from the editor. It’s a little more complicated than some other light page builders, but it’s still user friendly.
The editor utilizes a webpage structure with four main components: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Think of these components as fitting inside every other (this informative article has a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and elements go inside of sections. You can have several sections per page. Rows and columns go indoors sections, but columns especially go into rows. This way you may have up to four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the dynamic bits that make your page interactive to its customers and go inside columns.
It might sound complicated, but it is pretty easy to get the hang . Everything is color-coded–for example, in the above screenshot, the selection is a light green box because it’s a part, however when I was hovering over a component, it could be orange.
A little criticism I’ve heard (but do not have ) on the builder is how grid-like it is–you have to work within these rows and columns. Personally, I don’t believe this is a huge problem and the builder provides you sufficient hands without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
In general, I enjoy the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different kinds of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For instance, you might add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels because you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few partners you can enhance your integrations easily. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations segment, you can look for these or just click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, simply click the one. Clickfunnels Articles
The process for managing integrations is also simple, though you may have to look at your third party software’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the procedure simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some features, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have an extremely straightforward method of adding and handling integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section different from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store won’t really be much of a store unless you are using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing all these integrations is pretty simple –as long as you are all set up with whatever tool you are trying to incorporate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations run smoothly and you do not need to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ most important sell is its simplicity of use–because their advertisement says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the most important service ClickFunnels offers is providing tools which enable the less experienced save time and money. That being the situation, assessing ease of use is pretty important.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some expertise.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For most people, I’d say that the learning curve could be only a few hours max. If you behind, pick up Russell Brunson’s books mentioned previously in the critique.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it seems to me like most questions must be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.
All that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang . The center features of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or payment processors will require a bit of understanding, but it is nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would have to actually code the funnels–it’s stuff you can figure out by Googling about or visiting the docs centre.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it is overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it likely won’t be sufficient to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It unites choice and customizability with convenience, and while I would indicate all prospective users input with some basic technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience ) will find the most use out of it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a companies.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and those that offer B2B services will probably be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does nicely with people offering more products or ventures. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those businesses: for instance, if you’re a florist, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a good method of marketing for you. If you are trying to center everything there would be support too. The same goes for individuals selling content like classes or publications.
Of course, you could always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t think you need to decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only on their default funnel kinds. If you’re a smaller business, okay with the price , and you need to make your visitors work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money with ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anybody who would like to maintain a better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is adequate, although only barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their docs page includes a series of classes. It might be simple, but content-wise it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Articles
As once you log in for the customer service that is direct, they have a chat feature inside the dashboard, but I am not delighted with it. They have generally been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more advanced questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they required to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not need that kind of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t offer that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. In cases when attributes haven’t worked if there were weird site malfunctions or as promised, client service reps were allegedly unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, because of site error, some of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only articles. After he contacted customer service, he found they were unhelpful. It may be a scenario that is bizarre, unlikely, but it illustrates the point.
Overall Support Rating
I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think the team understand that their services are not easy to use and/or involve tools fresh to their users, and they’ve put enough resources into their support to make it decent. At least questions will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Perhaps most users wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets a minimum that makes it at least good enough. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the verdict that is overarching? It is good–4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate contender in the advertising program area and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a few drawbacks: you might want to check, Should you want a more answer to your advertising needs with customization skills. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with customer service agents, or any glitches in the program. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of these outweigh the good landing page builder, let other advantages like integrations that are strong, the short learning curve, and templates that are superior.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center objective–to make it simpler for you to funnel visitors and reach higher conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be pretty useful for entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed that are significantly less. I am pretty certain that for the majority of prospective users, the page builder offers enough choice. If you’re looking to get a simple but powerful sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. In the end, it has not attained its popularity on promises, and that I am giving 4/5 celebrities to it.
