What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only three years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell things online using differently complex marketing technology, known as sales funnels (more on those in a second).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, not just from ClickFunnels, but other advertising adventures. He played around with email advertising for a while, and eventually began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets two novels, and Secrets that his lovers rave about and that guide people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website . Clickfunnels Area 51
ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his staff produce funnels more rapidly for different ventures, as creating funnels would usually take weeks. They had good potential as a commodity and soon realized their creation would be helpful to others.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes individuals who do not understand you personally and turns them into customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps designed to direct a web site visitor into the checkout page.
There is a dull way of thinking about it. Step 1: Imagine a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients you call web traffic or website visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that still doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors . In a physical shop, that is like people walking into your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without buying anything. You can speak your customers into buying something. In a digital store, you may be a bit more distant from your visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your clients’ . The funnel works incremental, draw visitors in closer and closer till people end up at a payment page.
You’re right, if you feel that sounds cool –it’s turned into a huge deal for internet advertising. Russell Brunson did not only get rich by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it as well.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to help save you time and energyto do exactly what otherwise requires a lot of competence and/or a range of third party applications. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making the consumer money. They make it put your content up simple to make your accounts, and start taking payments. Plus, it’s pretty easy to select everything up–it’ll likely take you a few hours to figure out most of what you need, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are very useful here. I like how easy it’s to duplicate pages, and also the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their webpage builder is a fairly important feature, and they’ve pulled it off well. Once you become used to it, it is an simple to use drag and drop builder.
Built in A/B testing is excellent too. All you have to do is replicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and pick the numbers of the traffic you wish to view variant A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations pretty well. Email autoresponders and payment chips aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to manage.
You will also find a handy WordPress plugin which allows you add ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress site. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active installations.
All in 1
Overall, it’s good to get things so centralized: I can construct my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.
All this really does save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise have to spend on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.
You can be sure the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp account is pretty decent. If you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, the full package may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Area 51
ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packaging great tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a hassle they would have if they tried to handle funnels another manner.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has quite a few areas that need work.
A drawback is the price. There are only two pricing alternatives, at $97 a month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this isn’t like I’ve mentioned , just another investment in your business, and a drawback, you receive a package for it.
Lackluster Customer Support
Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been fine with fundamental queries, but if you ask them harder things, particularly about more advanced features, they won’t be quite beneficial.
Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Creator
This isn’t an objective criticism of the product but I take a slight problem with their advertising that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a marketing. But from a user experience perspective, it can get obtrusive. When you sign up for the applications, you may attempt to look at the purpose features of the software and integrate it into your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s marketing methods.
This usually means you will end up buying online courses, publications, attending conventions, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and most articles consists of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they created. Though these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they are more concentrated on earning quick money instead of building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line courses, saturation of trainers and specialists, and other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.
Much of this product is tied into his doctrine and his own brand, although we know the founder is a marketing magician. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything about it seems to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s hard not to get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, especially when a few elements of the merchandise (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels however more on the community. While you’ve got the ability to personalize extensively within ClickFunnels, many men and women use similar designs. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks floating around. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some mistakes or will return. Though this really doesn’t happen often, there is little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or driving traffic to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a few hours, you can potentially lose a lot of money.
It’s also hard to know if your pages are working or not, if you don’t constantly wait or wait until you hear from angry clients. When I replicate pages using the HTML publishing option barring uptime, I deal with a few glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices change, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring out things.
I enjoy consistency in my applications if it’s a business solution.
At length, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it’s too easy, and too pricey for its simplicity. These criticisms have a tendency to refer to home improvement approaches that can be cheaper upfront and give more control over handling specific details. But for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficacy and an simple to use package of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and Full Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to try the support , in order you do not need to commit to a costly program right away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Package ).
Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some would say , and that I could see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that starts at $25 per month. However, it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly good job. I personally consider it a fantastic investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the main service, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the complete list of features.
But, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide tests, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a full list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality which lets you characterize a product as a one time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your customers cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domains; priority support and template asks; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Total Package, do not worry, it is confusing. This part I think ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of the ClickFunnels review.
To outline the differences, StartUp basically carries the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation instrument ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You are able to view the full official record .
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I believe they’re solid and you get whatever you want. They are largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them different sections. Clickfunnels Area 51
A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a feature a noteworthy one.
If you duplicate a webpage and also make changes to the backup, the divide test basically lets you choose what percentages of your visitors that you want to view per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It is a function and easy to use.
In addition, I think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for other settings, like your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a common theme among some criticisms), but while the support is supposed to be simple to work with, I believed the fundamental features were pretty good.
There are quite a few types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to several kinds of companies, and also you can obviously build your personal funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I have a minute within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Full Suite is just three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it is exactly what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complicated. The main goal of Actionetics is smart analytics that lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail in addition to email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool designed to make managing an affiliate system simpler and more effective.
But are such attributes, or products? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to sell a iffy email auto-responder for me personally, but perhaps I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Full Suite a bit confusing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.
Here’s the Complete list of StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- boundless contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase webpages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale pages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 billing integration per type
You may watch the complete list of features, along with complete Suite attributes, here. If you’re in a position where you are able to manage to try Etison for a bit and you absolutely require an efficient, easy way of increasing sales, I don’t think you’d wind up shorted. By that exact same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge advantage that you can’t do without them: for most users, just StartUp will provide a thorough adequate package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is likely ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wanted to devote special attention to it. In fact, I feel a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top score has to do with it turned into a really solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building applications and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it largely with this landing page builder.
Anyhow, there’s rather an array of templates with good designs, though as you may expect, just the templates created by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel type, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.
You can also save certain templates and make personal page templates, and it’s pretty easy to see them. As you can see, you can toggle with basic settings and open in the editor.
You be working using a drop and drag builder once your pages start from the editor. It’s a bit more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it’s still user friendly.
The editor utilizes a page structure with four chief components: sections, rows, columns, and components. Think of these components as fitting within each other (this informative article has a helpful diagram). Basically: columns, rows, and elements go inside of sections. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns go indoors sections, but columns especially enter rows. This way you can have a row with one column, or up to four. Elements are the lively bits that make your page interactive to its visitors and go columns.
It may sound complicated, but it’s pretty easy to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the choice is a mild green box because it is a section, however when I had been hovering over an element, it could be orange.
A little criticism I have heard (but don’t have ) about the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you need to work within those rows and columns. I personally do not believe this is a huge issue and the builder provides you enough hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
Overall, I like the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to earn money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional advertising and marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different types of integrations you are able to enhance your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. By way of example, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few notable partners you may add to your integrations. Here’s a Complete list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations segment, you can look for these or simply click the search bar, and they will come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, just click on the one you want and add it. Clickfunnels Area 51
The process for managing integrations is also straightforward, though you may have to look at your third party software’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. Overall, you’ll find the process simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than a few features, such as the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have an extremely simple method of incorporating and handling integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other applications platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part different from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop will not really be a lot of shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing each of these integrations is fairly simple –so long as you are all set up using whatever tool you are trying to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations run smoothly and you do not have to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its simplicity of use–because their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’tech guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the main ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that allow the less experienced to save time and money. That being the situation, evaluating ease of usage is pretty important.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some expertise.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I’d say that the learning curve would be just a couple hours max. If you behind, pick up Russell Brunson’s books mentioned previously in the critique.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is unquestionably simpler than creating funnels on your own. They have a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it seems to me as if most queries should be covered, and you could always contact a customer service representative if it comes to it.
All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang . The center characteristics of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or charge processors will want a bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere near the amount of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it is stuff you’ll be able to determine by Googling about or visiting the docs centre.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it likely won’t be enough to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It unites alternative and customizability with ease, and while I would suggest all prospective users input with some simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience here) will get the maximum use from it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a companies more than others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and even those that offer B2B services would probably be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does well with people offering more creative products or ventures that are independent. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards these industries: for instance, if you are a florist, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a fantastic method of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything there could be support too. The same holds for individuals selling content such as publications or classes.
Obviously, you could always start from a blank funnel, and I do not believe you should decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only on their default funnel types. If you’re a smaller company, okay with the price tag, and you have to produce your traffic work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anybody who wants to maintain a better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting decent documentation on-site. I think their documentation is sufficient, although barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their page has a series of categories, each with their own posts. It may be simple, but content-wise it isn’t too shabby. Clickfunnels Area 51
As for the customer assistance, they have a chat feature within the dashboard after you log in, but I am not overly pleased by it. They have been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more complex questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing query, they took three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t need that sort of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t offer that level of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Additionally, I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. Notably, in instances when attributes have not worked when there were site malfunctions or as promised, customer support representatives were supposedly either unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, a number of his customers were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. He discovered they were unhelpful and apathetic, After he contacted customer service. It might be a situation that is weird, unlikely, however it illustrates the point.
Overall Support Rating
I would not say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think that the team understand that their solutions are not easy to use and/or involve tools new for their users, and they’ve put resources into their support to make it adequate. At least queries will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Maybe most consumers, myself included, would not state ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it meets a minimum which makes it. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
Therefore, what’s the overarching verdict? It is fine –4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate contender in the marketing software space and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a few drawbacks: you might want to look into third party options you can connect together, If you want a more hands-on solution to your marketing needs with greater customization abilities. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with customer service agents, or any glitches in the software. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let other positives like the learning curve, strong integrations, and templates.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center objective–to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and attain conversion rates. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be helpful for less entrepreneurs. I’m pretty certain that for the majority of users, the webpage builder provides enough choice. If you are looking to get a simple but powerful sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. After all, it has not reached its popularity on promises, and that I’m giving 4/5 celebrities to it.
