What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only 3 years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using differently complex marketing technology, called sales funnels (more on those in a second).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous as his invention, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but advertising experiences. He played with email advertising for a while, and eventually began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets and Secrets his lovers rave about and that guide people through his advertising and marketing methodologies. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Clickfunnels App Shopify
ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his staff create funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would normally take weeks. They soon realized their creation would be helpful to others and had good potential as a commodity.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes individuals who don’t know you personally and turns them into customers, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of measures developed to direct a website visitor.
There’s a less boring way of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you telephone web traffic or site visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors still doesn’t turn into clients. In a physical store, that’s like people walking in to your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without buying anything. In a physical store, you can talk your customers into purchasing something. In a shop, you may be a bit more remote from the visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your customers’ . The funnel functions incremental, bring visitors in closer and closer until people wind up at a payment page.
You are right if you feel this sounds cool –it has turned into a huge bargain for marketing. Russell Brunson didn’t only get rich by selling ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it as well.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to save you time and energyto do exactly what otherwise requires a lot of technological competence and/or an array of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
Among the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making money for the user. They make it put your content up, quite easy to produce your account, and begin taking payments. Plus, it is rather simple to pick everything up–it’ll likely take you a few hours to find out most of what you require, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I like how easy it is to replicate pages, and the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their webpage builder is a pretty important feature, and they have pulled it off well. Once you get used to it, it is an simple to use drag and drop builder.
Constructed in A/B testing is great too. All you have to do is duplicate a page, make your changes, and pick the amounts of your traffic that you wish to see version A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations pretty nicely. Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to control.
You will also find a handy WordPress plugin which allows you add ClickFunnels pages. It saves a good deal of time and is much less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin , using over 20,000 active installations.
All in 1
Overall, it is great to have things so centralized: I can construct my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and trigger emails all from one platform.
All this really does save time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to spend on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.
You can rest assured the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you’re allowed for a StartUp account is pretty decent. If you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the complete suite may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels App Shopify
ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packing great tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they would have if they attempted to handle funnels another way.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it has quite a few areas that require work.
A small drawback is the price. There are two alternatives, at $97 a month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not another investment in your organization a drawback, and like I have said, you receive a package for this.
Lackluster Customer Support
Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been fine with fundamental questions, but if you ask them more difficult things, especially about more innovative features, they won’t be very helpful.
Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Creator
This is not an objective criticism of their product but that I take a small issue with their advertising that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it’s hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a fantastic advertising for certain. But from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. Once you sign up for the applications, you can try to examine the purpose features of the software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and made to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising methods.
This means you’ll find yourself purchasing online courses, publications, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and many posts is composed of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sports cars. Though these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they are more concentrated on earning quick money rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do good things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line courses, saturation of coaches and experts, and other spammy online entrepreneurs stuff.
So much of this product is tied into his brand and his doctrine, although we know the founder is a marketing magician. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything about it seems like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s difficult to not get the sensation which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, especially when a few elements of the merchandise (i.e., client service) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels however more on the community. While you’ve got the capability to personalize extensively within ClickFunnels, many people use similar designs. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some mistakes or will go down. Though this doesn’t occur frequently, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or driving visitors to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a few hours, you may potentially lose a lot of cash.
It’s also hard to know if your pages are functioning or not, unless you always check or wait till you hear from angry customers. When I clone pages using the HTML publishing option barring uptime, I deal with some glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options alter, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring things out.
I like consistency in my applications if it’s a business alternative.
At length, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with : it’s too simple, and too expensive for its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches that can be more economical upfront and yield more control over handling specific details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an simple to use bundle of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes at $297 per month. For what it’s worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to test out the support , so at least you don’t need to commit to an expensive plan straight away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).
Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some might say , and that I could see why–especially in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 per month. However, it’s necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to make funnels more efficient, and it does a pretty great job. I consider it a fantastic investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the principal service, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the complete list of features.
But, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split evaluations, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature that allows you describe a product as a one time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your customers cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, along with custom domains; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Total Package, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the section of the ClickFunnels review.
To outline the differences, StartUp basically conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the full set of ClickFunnels attributes. You are able to view the complete official list here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I think they’re strong and you get whatever you want. They’re largely intuitive and supply you with a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are good examples of this and are very important functions, so I’ll be giving them separate segments. Clickfunnels App Shopify
A/B split testing is definitely, although a feature a notable one.
If you replicate a page and make changes to the backup, the divide test basically lets you choose what percentages of your visitors that you want to view per page, allowing you test conversion rates very conveniently. It is very simple to use and a great function.
In addition, I believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and straightforward for different settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a frequent theme among a few criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be easy to work with, I thought the fundamental features were fairly good.
There are a number of kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to several types of businesses, and also you can obviously build your personal funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I take a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my view, Total Suite is three products being packaged together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it is exactly what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it is a little more complicated. The main goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that result in smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Together with Actionetics comes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to create managing an affiliate program simpler and more effective.
But are these attributes, or products that are separate? Actionetics seems somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to market a iffy email auto-responder for me personally, but maybe I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Full Suite a little perplexing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.
Here’s the full list of all StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- boundless contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split tests
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order webpages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 billing integration per form
You can view the complete list of features, together with complete Suite features, here. If you are in a situation where you can afford to try Etison for a bit and you absolutely require an efficient, simple method of increasing earnings, I don’t believe you would wind up shorted. By that same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a massive benefit that you can’t do without themfor many users, simply StartUp will offer a thorough enough package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wanted to devote special attention. In reality, I think a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high score has to do with it being a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its own funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it mostly for this particular landing page builder.
Anyhow, there’s quite an array of templates with good layouts, however as you can expect, just the templates made by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel kind, so poking around isn’t too hard.
You might even save certain templates and make personal page templates, and it is pretty easy to find them. As you can see, you open from the editor and can toggle with settings.
When you start your pages from the editor, you be working with a drag and drop builder. It’s a little more complex than some other light page builders, but it is still user friendly.
The editor utilizes a page structure with four chief parts: sections, rows, columns, and elements. Consider these components as fitting within each other (this informative article has a very helpful diagram). Basically: columns, rows, and components go inside of segments. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns go inside segments, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you can have a row with one column, or up to four. Elements are the bits that go columns and make your page interactive to its customers.
It may sound complicated, but it is pretty simple to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box since it is a section, but if I had been hovering over an element, it could be orange.
A little criticism I have heard (but do not have personally) on the builder is how grid-like it is–you need to work within these columns and rows. Personally, I don’t believe this is a massive problem and the builder provides you enough hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it may be worth a mention.
I enjoy the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other advertising and marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct kinds of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. For instance, you might add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels because you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few noteworthy partners you may add to your integrations readily. Here’s a full list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations section, you can look for these or simply click on the search bar, and they will come up. It, simply click the one you want and insert it. Clickfunnels App Shopify
The procedure for handling integrations can also be straightforward, though you might have to check your third party program’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the procedure pretty straightforward. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some features, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very simple way of incorporating and handling integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section different from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be much of a shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling all these integrations is pretty easy–as long as you’re all set up with whatever tool you’re trying to integrate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations operate and you don’t have to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its ease of usage –because their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that enable the less experienced to save time and money. That being the case, assessing ease of use is really significant.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some expertise.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I would say that the learning curve could be just a few hours maximum. If you behind, pick up the books mentioned previously in the review of Russell Brunson.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is unquestionably simpler than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a reasonable amount of documentation, and it might not be ideal, but it seems to me as if most questions must be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.
All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The center features of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly simple to control. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or charge processors will require a bit of understanding, but it is nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it’s things you’ll be able to determine by Googling about or seeing the docs center.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it is overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it likely will not be enough to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It combines alternative and customizability with ease, and while I’d indicate all potential users input with a few simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (speaking from experience here) will get the maximum use out of it. There are naturally variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a businesses.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community advertising, and even those offering B2B services would most likely be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does well with those offering more products or individual ventures. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards these businesses: for example, if you are a gentleman, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a fantastic method of marketing for you. If you are attempting to center everything on your own and your brand, there could be support too. The same goes for people selling content such as courses or publications.
Obviously, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I do not believe you should determine if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based purely on their default funnel types. If you are a smaller business, alright with the price tag, and you need to produce your visitors work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anybody who wants to keep a much better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area that consists of some nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is nevertheless adequate, although barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their page includes a collection of classes, each with their own articles. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it might be simple. Clickfunnels App Shopify
As the customer assistance, they have a chat feature within the dashboard after you log into for, but I’m not pleased with it. They’ve generally been useful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more complex questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one HTML publishing query, they required to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users won’t need that kind of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t offer that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Furthermore, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. Notably, in instances when features have not worked if there were weird site malfunctions or as promised, customer support reps were allegedly either unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, a number of his customers were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. He discovered they were unhelpful and apathetic, when he contacted customer service. It might be a situation, however it illustrates the point.
Total Support Rating
I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in client support–I feel that the team mostly understand that their services are not absolutely simple to use and/or involve tools new to their users, and they’ve put resources into their support to make it adequate. At least basic questions will be answered, and they are pretty responsive. Most consumers, myself included, would not state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it mostly meets. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
Therefore, what’s the conclusion that is overarching? It is good! It is a legitimate competitor in the advertising program area and worth trying out.
Yeah, a few drawbacks are: If you need a more hands-on answer to your advertising needs with customization skills that are greater, you might want to check into third party options you’ll be able to tie together. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service agents, or any glitches in the program. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering everything, I do not think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let other advantages such as superior templates, integrations that are solid, and the short learning curve.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and reach higher conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be pretty helpful for less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I am pretty certain that for the majority of users, enough option is offered by the page builder. If you’re looking for an sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. It has not attained its popularity on promises, and that I am giving it 4/5 stars.
