What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just 3 years it has been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet advertising industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using otherwise complex marketing technology, called sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his invention, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but marketing experiences. He played with email marketing for some time, and eventually began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets and the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets that his lovers rave that direct and about people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website . Clickfunnels App
ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his team produce funnels more quickly for different ventures, as developing funnels would usually take weeks. However, they soon realized their creation would be useful to other people and had good potential as a product.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes people who don’t know you and turns them into customers, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of measures designed to direct a web site visitor into the checkout page.
There’s a way of considering it. Step 1: Imagine a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and rather than real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients you call internet traffic or site traffic. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors still doesn’t turn into clients. In a brick and mortar store, that’s like people walking in to your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without purchasing anything. At a store, you can talk your clients. In a digital store, you could be a bit more distant from your customers. This is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your customers’ through principles of psychology. The funnel functions step-by-step, draw traffic in closer and closer until people wind up at a page.
You’re correct if you think this sounds cool –it has turned into a massive bargain for marketing. Russell Brunson didn’t only get wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to help save you time and energy–to do what requires a whole lot of proficiency and/or a range of third party applications. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on earning your consumer money. They make it very simple to produce your account, put your content up, and begin taking payments. Additionally, it is rather simple to select everything up–it’ll likely take you a few hours to figure out a lot of what you need, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I enjoy how easy it is to replicate pages, and the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their webpage builder is a fairly important attribute, and they’ve pulled it. It is an simple to use drag and drop builder once you become used to it.
Built in A/B testing is great too. All you have to do is replicate a webpage, make your changes, and choose the amounts of your traffic that you wish to view variant A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations pretty well. Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are easy to manage.
You will also find a handy WordPress plugin that allows you insert ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress site. It saves a good deal of time and is much less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active setups.
All in one
Overall, it is good to have things so centralized: I can construct my landing pages, create forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.
All of this really will save time and money, resources you’d otherwise have to spend on developers, CSShosting configurations, and so on.
You can rest assured the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp account is pretty decent. In case you have over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the full package might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels App
ClickFunnels isn’t perfect, but it does a fantastic job of packaging great tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they’d have when they tried to manage funnels another way.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has a number of places that need work.
A little drawback is the price. There are two options, at $97 per month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not a drawback another investment in your business, and like I’ve mentioned, you receive a package for this.
Lackluster Customer Service
Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been fine with fundamental queries, but if you ask them more difficult things, particularly about more advanced features, they won’t be very helpful.
Cult-like user base and applications also reliant on Creator
This is not an objective criticism of their merchandise but that I take a small problem with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype. They’ve a fantastic marketing for sure. But from a user experience perspective, it can get obtrusive. Once you register for the software, you may attempt to look at the objective features of this software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.
This means you will find yourself buying online courses, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and many posts is composed of people bragging about how much money they created and flashing their sport cars. Though these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they’re more concentrated on earning quick money instead of building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online courses, saturation of trainers and specialists, and other spammy internet marketer stuff.
Most of us know the creator is a marketing but so much of this item is tied to his philosophy and his brand. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it looks to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s difficult to not get the sensation which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when some aspects of the product (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels but more about the neighborhood. While you have the ability to personalize within ClickFunnels, many men and women use similar layouts. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a large quantity of ClickFunnel-y seems. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will return or encounter some errors. Though this really doesn’t happen often, there is little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or driving traffic to your own funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a couple of hours, then you may potentially lose a good deal of cash.
It’s also hard to know if your pages are functioning or not, unless you always wait or wait until you hear from angry clients. When I replicate pages using the HTML printing option, barring uptime, I deal with some glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options alter, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.
I enjoy consistency in my applications, especially if it is a business solution.
Finally, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it’s too easy, and too expensive for its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that may be cheaper upfront and yield more control over managing certain details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an simple to use package of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test out the service, in order you do not have to commit to an expensive plan straight away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).
Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some would say , and I could see why–particularly in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 per month. But it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a pretty good job. I consider it a fantastic investment.
The main differences between an entry level account along with a premium account are as follows: StartUp gets the principal company, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the full list of features.
However, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality that allows you characterize a product as a one time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your customers pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and custom domains; priority support and template asks; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Total Package, do not worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the following section of the ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the differences, StartUp essentially conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two other services–Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You are able to view the full official list here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I believe that they’re solid and you get everything you need. They’re largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I’ll be giving them separate segments. Clickfunnels App
A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a more compact feature a one.
If you duplicate a page and make changes to the copy, the split test essentially enables you to select what percentages of your traffic you need to see per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It’s a function and simple to use.
I also believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for different settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them prohibitive (a common theme among some criticisms), but as the service is supposed to be easy to work with, I believed the fundamental features were pretty great.
There are quite a few types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented into different kinds of companies, and you can obviously build your personal funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I have a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. In my opinion, Full Suite is three products being packaged together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it’s exactly what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it is a little more complicated. The main objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail in addition to email, and some other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool supposed to make managing an affiliate system simpler and more efficient.
But are such attributes, or products? Actionetics seems a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to market an iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but perhaps I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Full Suite a little confusing and eliminates the coherency you get with the original ClickFunnels.
Here’s the Complete list of all StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 visitors
- unlimited contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase pages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration

You may watch the full list of features, together with complete Package attributes, here. If you are in a situation where you are able to afford to try Etison for a bit and you absolutely need an efficient, easy way of increasing sales, I don’t believe you would wind up shorted. By that same token, I don’t think Actionetics and Backpack provide such a massive benefit that you can’t do without themfor many users, simply StartUp will provide a comprehensive adequate bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is probably ClickFunnels’ main attribute, so I wished to devote exclusive attention to it. In reality, I feel a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it being a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it largely with this landing page builder.
Anyway, there’s quite a range of templates with good designs, however as you may expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are coordinated by funnel type, so poking around isn’t too hard.
You can even save certain templates and make personal page templates, and it’s pretty easy to see them. As you can see, you open from the editor and can toggle with fundamental settings.
When your pages open in the editor, you will basically be working with a drop and drag builder. It’s a little more complex than some other mild page builders, but it is still easy to use.
The editor uses a webpage structure with four main components: sections, columns, rows, and components. Consider these parts as fitting inside each other (this article has a very helpful diagram). Basically: rows, columns, and elements go inside of segments. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns move inside sections, but columns especially enter rows. This way you can have a row with a single column, or around four. Elements are the lively bits that go columns and make your page interactive to its customers.
It may sound complex, but it’s pretty easy to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded–for example, in the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box since it’s a section, but when I had been hovering over a component, it could be orange.
A small criticism I’ve heard (but do not have ) on the builder is the way grid-like it is–you have to work within these rows and columns. Personally, I don’t believe this is a huge problem and the builder provides you enough hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
In general, I enjoy the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct types of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of example, you might add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you’re registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few partners you may add to your integrations readily. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations section, you can search for these or simply click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It is pretty self-explanatory, simply click the one. Clickfunnels App
The procedure for managing integrations is also straightforward, though you may have to look at your third party software’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. Overall, you’ll find the procedure simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than a few attributes, such as the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very simple way of adding and handling integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section different from integrations. They may be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they are the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store won’t really be a lot of store unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling all of these integrations is fairly simple –so long as you’re all set up with whatever tool you are attempting to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations operate and you do not have to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important sell is its simplicity of use–because their advertisement says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that enable the less experienced to save money and time. That being the case, evaluating ease of usage is really important.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some expertise.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it may be a bit overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For most people, I would say that the learning curve could be just a few hours maximum. If you are really behind, pick up the books mentioned previously in the review of Russell Brunson.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a reasonable amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it seems to me as if most questions must be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.
All that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The core features of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations involving email integrations or payment processors will require a bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it is stuff you can determine by Googling about or seeing the docs center.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it likely won’t be enough to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It unites choice and customizability with ease, and while I’d suggest all prospective users input with a few basic technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience here) will get the maximum use from it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a companies.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and those that offer B2B services will most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does nicely with people offering more ventures or creative products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards these industries: for example, if you’re a gentleman, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a good way of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything on your own and your brand, there would be support also. The same holds for people selling content like classes or publications.
Obviously, you could always start from a blank funnel, and I do not believe you should decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based purely in their default funnel types. If you are a smaller business, alright with the price , and you have to make your traffic work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anybody who would like to maintain a much better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area which consists of a few nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is sufficient, although only for SaaS companies. Their docs page has a collection of classes, each with their own posts. Content-wise it isn’t too shabby, although it might be easy. Clickfunnels App
As for the immediate customer service, they have a feature inside the dashboard after you log into, but I am not pleased with it. They have been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more advanced questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they took three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users won’t require that sort of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t offer that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Additionally, I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. In cases when features have not worked when there were site malfunctions or as promised, client service reps were supposedly unhelpful or unresponsive. One notorious reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, a number of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only articles. He found that they were unhelpful and apathetic After he contacted customer service. It illustrates the point, although it may be a scenario that is unlikely.
Overall Support Rating
I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I think the team understand that their solutions are not simple to use and/or demand tools fresh to their users, and they’ve put resources in their support to make it adequate. At least fundamental questions will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Maybe consumers, myself included, wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
Therefore, what’s the verdict that is overarching? It’s good–4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate contender in the advertising software area and worth trying out.
Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: you may want to check, Should you want a more hands-on answer to your advertising needs with higher customization skills. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with customer service agents, or any glitches in the program. You could be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering everything, I don’t think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone positives such as templates that are good, integrations that are strong, and the brief learning curve.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center goal –to make it simpler for you to funnel visitors and attain higher conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be pretty useful for entrepreneurs that are less. I am pretty certain that for the vast majority of users, the webpage builder provides enough option. If you are looking first and foremost to get a simple but powerful sales alternative or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. On empty promises, it hasn’t reached its popularity In the end, and that is why I am giving it 4/5 stars.
