Clickfunnels And Activecampaign
If you are in contact with the world of digital marketing, you’ve probably at least heard of ClickFunnels. In this ClickFunnels Review, we go to establish whether ClickFunnels is a legitimate small business marketing software worth trying, or just overhyped. Clickfunnels And Activecampaign
ClickFunnels has made a fairly major name for itself since it began, becoming one of the largest marketing SaaS (Software as a Service) companies around. I suppose it is no surprise–ClickFunnels is all about making its users cash. Importantly, it’s about giving companies software that helps their site visitors turn into customers. It’s no wonder ClickFunnels has increased in a short period of time.
Does this mean it’s well worth it, although there is no denying it’s popular? Just how much can we trust the crowd with this one? During this ClickFunnels review, I’ll go through the gist of ClickFunnels–what it is, the positives and the pitfalls, the features, customer service, and so on. I’m basing this review on my experience using ClickFunnels’ StartUp plan, which includes the core ClickFunnels attributes and plenty of whistles and bells. I give a nod towards other testimonials I have seen, as not every user and I will concur about the verdict.
Irrespective of whether you choose to use it or not, it’s an important player anybody in e-commerce and online marketing should be familiar with. What’s our evaluation before you leap in? I will put it. With some drawbacks, it is definitely good. Keep reading to find out why!

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just three years it has been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using otherwise complex marketing technologies, known as sales funnels (more about those in a second).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other advertising experiences. He played with email advertising for some time, and eventually began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets two books, and Secrets that his fans rave about and that guide people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Clickfunnels And Activecampaign
ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his team create funnels more quickly for different ventures, as developing funnels would usually take weeks. They had good potential as a product and soon realized their creation would be helpful to others.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes individuals who do not understand you personally and turns them into clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of steps developed to direct a web site visitor.
There’s a way of thinking about it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you call web traffic or site visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors still doesn’t turn into clients. In a brick and mortar shop, that is like people walking into your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without purchasing anything. At a store, you can speak your customers. In a digital shop, you may be a bit more remote from your visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your customers’ . The funnel works step-by-step, draw visitors in closer and closer until people end up in a payment page.
You are correct, if you feel this sounds cool –it has become a huge bargain for marketing. Russell Brunson did become rich by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some good information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to save you time and energyto do exactly what demands a whole lot of proficiency and/or an array of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making money. They make it put your content up quite easy to produce your account, and begin taking payments. Additionally, it is rather simple to pick up everything –it’ll likely take you a few hours to figure out most of what you require, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are very useful here. I enjoy how easy it is to replicate pages, and the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a feature that is pretty important, and they have pulled it off well. It is an builder once you become used to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is excellent. All you need to do is replicate a page, make your changes, and choose the numbers of the visitors that you want to view version A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations well. Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to control.
You’ll also find a handy WordPress plugin that allows you insert ClickFunnels webpages. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active installations.
All in 1
In general, it’s good to have things so concentrated: I can build my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from one platform.
All of this really will save time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to spend on developers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.
You may be sure the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp account is pretty decent. If you have over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the full package may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels And Activecampaign
ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packing good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they would have when they tried to manage funnels another manner.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it’s quite a few areas that require work.
A little drawback is the cost. There are two pricing alternatives, at either $97 per month or $297 per month. From the grand scheme of things, this isn’t just another investment in your business a massive drawback, and like I’ve said, you get a package for this.
Lackluster Client Support
Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with basic questions, but if you inquire harder things, particularly about more advanced features, they will not be quite helpful.
Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Founder
This is not an objective criticism of the merchandise but I take a slight issue with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a marketing. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. When you register for the software, you can try to examine the objective features of the software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and made to learn Russell Brunson’s marketing procedures.
This usually means you will find yourself purchasing online courses, publications, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and articles is composed of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they made. Though these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they’re more focused on earning quick cash rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online courses, saturation of coaches and specialists, along with other spammy internet marketer stuff.
We know the creator is a marketing magician, but so much of the item is tied into his philosophy and his brand. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it looks to be an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s difficult not to get the feeling that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when a few aspects of the merchandise (i.e., client service) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels but more about the community. As you’ve got the ability to personalize extensively within ClickFunnels, a lot of people use designs. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large amount of ClickFunnel-y seems floating about. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some errors or will go down. Though this really doesn’t occur frequently, there is little you can do but wait. If you are investing a lot in advertising or driving visitors to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a couple of hours, then you may potentially lose a good deal of money.
It’s also hard to know if your pages are working or not, if you don’t always check or wait until you hear from angry clients. When I replicate pages using the HTML printing option, barring uptime, I deal with some glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices change, etcand it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.
I enjoy consistency within my software, especially if it’s a business alternative.
Finally, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with : it is too simple, and too pricey for its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches that may be cheaper upfront and give more control over handling specific details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use bundle of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try the service, so at least you don’t need to commit to a costly program right away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Package ).
Nonetheless, a bit hefty huh? Well, some would say , and that I could see why–especially if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 per month. However, it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly great job. I personally consider it a good investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account along with a premium account are as follows: StartUp gets the principal service, the funnel-builder, with some constraints on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the complete list of features.
But, both programs have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a full list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature that lets you characterize a product as a one time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your customers pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domain names; priority support and template asks; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Full Package, don’t worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the subsequent section of the ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the gaps, StartUp basically conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two other providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels features. You are able to view the full official list .
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ attributes complete? I believe that they’re strong and you get everything you need. They are largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are good examples of this and are very important functions, so I’ll be giving them different sections. Clickfunnels And Activecampaign
A/B split testing is a more compact feature, but unquestionably a noteworthy one.
If you replicate a webpage and make changes to the copy, the divide test essentially enables you to choose what percentages of your traffic you want to see per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very handily. It’s easy to use and a fantastic function.
In addition, I think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and straightforward for different settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among a few criticisms), but while the support is supposed to be simple to use, I thought the fundamental features were pretty good.
There are quite a few types of available pre-made funnels, oriented to several kinds of businesses, and you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I take a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my opinion, Total Suite is just three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it is exactly what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it is a little more complicated. The chief objective of Actionetics is smart analytics which lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics comes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool supposed to make managing an affiliate system simpler and more effective.
But are these attributes, or products that are different? Actionetics seems somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to sell a iffy email auto-responder for me, but perhaps I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Full Suite a bit perplexing and removes the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.
Here’s the full list of all StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 visitors
- boundless contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split tests
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order webpages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale pages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per form
You can view the complete list of features, along with Full Package attributes, here. If you’re in a situation where you can manage to try out Etison for a little and you absolutely require an efficient, simple method of increasing sales, I do not think you would find yourself shorted. By that same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge advantage that you can not do without them: for many users, simply StartUp will provide a comprehensive adequate package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wished to devote attention. In fact, I feel a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it being a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its own funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this particular landing page builder.
Anyway, there’s quite a range of templates with good layouts, though as you may expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel type, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.
You might also save certain templates and make own page templates, and it is rather easy to find them. As you can see, you open in the editor and can toggle with basic settings.
You will basically be working using a drag and drop builder once your pages start from the editor. It’s a bit more complicated than some other light page builders, but it’s still user friendly.
The editor utilizes a page structure with four main components: sections, rows, columns, and elements. Consider these components as fitting inside every other (this article has a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and elements go inside of sections. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns go indoors sections, but columns specifically enter rows. This way you may have around four, or a row with one column. Elements are the bits that go inside columns and also make your page interactive to its customers.
It might sound complicated, but it is rather simple to get the hang . Everything is color-coded–for example, from the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box because it is a section, but if I had been hovering over a component, it would be orange.
A little criticism I have heard (but do not have ) about the builder is how grid-like it’s –you have to work within those rows and columns. Personally, I do not believe this is a huge problem and the builder provides you enough control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
I enjoy the page builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional advertising and marketing tools you incorporate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few distinct types of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of example, you might add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few notable partners you can enhance your integrations readily. Here’s a Complete list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations segment, you can search for these or just click on the search bar, and they will come up. It, simply click on the one. Clickfunnels And Activecampaign
The process for handling integrations can also be simple, though you may need to check your third party program’s documentation to discover precisely what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll find the process pretty simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than a few features, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have an extremely simple method of adding and handling integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other applications platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section separate from integrations. They might be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also what they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your clients to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be much of a shop unless you are using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling each of these integrations is fairly simple –so long as you’re all set up using whatever tool you are trying to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations usually operate and you do not need to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its ease of use–because their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’tech guys! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that enable the less experienced save money and time. That being the case, assessing ease of use is really important.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you need to still have some experience.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I’d say the learning curve would be only a few hours max. Pick up the books mentioned in the critique of Russell Brunson, if you’re actually behind.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it appears to me like most questions should be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it comes to it.
All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang . The center characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate into all sections of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings regarding email integrations or payment processors will require a bit of understanding, but it is nowhere near the amount of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it is stuff you can figure out by Googling about or seeing the docs center.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters frequently, but it likely won’t be enough to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It combines alternative and customizability with ease, and while I’d suggest all potential users enter with a few basic technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (speaking from experience here) will get the most use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some companies more than others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and even those offering B2B services would most likely be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does well with those offering more products or independent ventures. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards these industries: for instance, if you are a florist, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a good way of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything on your own and your brand, there could be great support also. The same holds for individuals selling content such as books or courses.
Of course, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not believe you should decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only on their default funnel types. If you are a smaller company, alright with the price , and you need to produce your visitors work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anyone who would like to keep a better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is a place that is composed of some nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is just for SaaS companies, but sufficient. Their page includes a collection of classes, each with their own posts. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it might be easy. Clickfunnels And Activecampaign
As for the customer assistance that is direct, they have a chat feature within the dashboard once you log in, but I am not too delighted by it. They have been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more complex questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they took three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users will not require that kind of support and to be honest, most SaaS businesses don’t provide that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. Notably, in instances when features have not worked as promised or if there were site malfunctions, client service reps were allegedly either unhelpful or unresponsive. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, some of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only articles. When he contacted customer service, he found that they were unhelpful and apathetic. It might be a unlikely situation, but it illustrates the point.
Overall Support Rating
I would not say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel that the team understand that their solutions are not simple to use and/or demand tools new for their customers, and they have put resources into their support to make it decent. At least fundamental questions will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Most users wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets a bare minimum which makes it at least good. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
So, what’s the verdict that is overarching? It is good! It is a legitimate competitor in the advertising software area and worth trying out.
Yeah, a few drawbacks are: you may want to look, If you want a more answer to your marketing needs with higher customization skills. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself and end up dealing with customer service representatives, or any glitches in the software. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering everything, I don’t think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone additional advantages like the learning curveintegrations, and templates.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center goal –to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and attain conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be useful for less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I am pretty certain that for the majority of potential users, choice is offered by the webpage builder. If you are looking first and foremost for an easy but solid sales alternative or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. It has not reached its popularity on promises, and that is why I’m giving 4/5 stars to it.
