What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just 3 years it has been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using differently complicated marketing technologies, known as sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).

The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous as his invention, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, not only from ClickFunnels, but marketing adventures. He played with email marketing for a while, and eventually started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets his fans rave that direct and about people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Clickfunnels Alternative WordPress

ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his team produce funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would normally take months. But they had good potential as a product and soon realized their creation would be helpful to others.

Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a process that takes individuals who don’t know you personally and turns them to customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of measures developed to guide a website visitor.

There’s a less boring way of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you call web traffic or website visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, that still doesn’t turn many of your visitors into clients. In a physical shop, that is like people walking in to your store but not knowing where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without purchasing anything. In a physical store, you can talk your customers. In a shop, you may be a little more remote from your visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your customers’ . The funnel functions step-by-step, draw visitors in closer and closer till visitors end up at a page.

You’re correct, if you think that sounds cool –it’s turned into a massive bargain for advertising. Russell Brunson did get wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it as well.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I’ve got some good information: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to save you time and energy–to do exactly what otherwise requires a lot of technological competence and/or a range of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

Among the best things about ClickFunnels is the focus on earning money for the consumer. They make it quite easy to make your account, put your content up, and start taking payments. Plus, it is rather simple to pick up everything –it will probably take you a few hours to find out a lot of what you need, maximum.

Drag and Drop Builder

Quite a few features are very useful here. I enjoy how simple it’s to replicate pages, and the fact I can save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a attribute that is fairly important, and they have pulled it. As soon as you get used to it, it is an builder.

A/B testing

Built in A/B testing is excellent. All you need to do is duplicate a page, make your changes, and choose the numbers of your traffic you want to see variant A or B.

Great Choice of Integrations

I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment chips are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to manage.

WordPress Plugin

You will also find a useful WordPress plugin which lets you add ClickFunnels pages. It saves a lot of time and is a lot less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active setups.

All in 1

In general, it’s good to have things so concentrated: I will construct my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and trigger emails all from one platform.

All this really does save time and money, resources you would otherwise have to invest on programmers, CSShosting configurations, etc.

Reasonable Value

You may be sure the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp accounts is really decent. In case you’ve got more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the full package may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Alternative WordPress

ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a fantastic job of packing great tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they’d have when they attempted to manage funnels another way.

Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review

I have some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it’s quite a few places that require work.

Overpriced?

A drawback is the price. There are two options, at either $97 per month or $297 per month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not another investment in your business, a massive drawback, and like I’ve said, you receive a package for this.

Lackluster Client Service

Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been fine with fundamental queries, but if you ask them harder things, particularly about more innovative features, they will not be quite beneficial.

Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Creator

This is not an objective criticism of their merchandise but I take a slight issue with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it’s hard to escape the hype. They have a fantastic advertising. But from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. When you register for the software, you can try to examine the purpose features of the software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.

This means you’ll find yourself buying online classes, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and posts is composed of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sports cars. Although these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they are more focused on earning quick cash instead of building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped folks do good things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online courses, saturation of coaches and experts, along with other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.

Most of us know the creator is a marketing magician, but much of this item is tied into his doctrine and his own brand. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it looks like an extension of Brunson’s platform.

Sometimes it’s difficult to not get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, especially when a few elements of the product (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one isn’t on ClickFunnels however more about the neighborhood. As you have the ability to personalize extensively within ClickFunnels, many people use similar layouts. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y seems floating around. Diversity is vital.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or encounter some mistakes. Though this really doesn’t occur frequently, there is little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a great deal in advertising or driving traffic to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts your pages down for even a few hours, you can potentially lose a lot of money.

It’s also difficult to know when your pages are working or not, if you don’t constantly check or wait till you hear from angry customers. Barring bandwidth, I deal with some glitches when I replicate pages using the HTML printing option.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options change, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.

I enjoy consistency within my applications if it is a business alternative.

Too Simple

At length, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it is too easy, and too pricey because of its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which can be cheaper upfront and yield more control over managing certain details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an simple to use bundle of resources, I would not emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels has two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month and Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to test out the support , so at least you don’t need to commit to an expensive plan right away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).

Nonetheless, a bit hefty huh? Well, some might say so, and I can see why–especially in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 a month. But it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly good job. I personally consider it a good investment.

The main differences between an entry level account along with a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the main service, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the full list of features.

But, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and some other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite has a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality which lets you describe a product as a one time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your customers pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domains; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics and Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Suite, don’t worry, it is confusing. This part I think ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the subsequent section of this ClickFunnels review.

To summarize the gaps, StartUp basically conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Package, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone instrument ClickFunnels with two other services–Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You are able to watch the complete official record .

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

Are ClickFunnels’ attributes complete? I believe that they’re solid and you get whatever you need. They are largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them different segments. Clickfunnels Alternative WordPress

A/B split testing is a smaller feature, but unquestionably a one.

If you duplicate a webpage and make changes to the copy, the divide test essentially lets you choose what percentages of the traffic that you need to view per page, letting you test conversion rates very handily. It is a function and very simple to use.

I also think ClickFunnels is complete flexible and straightforward for different settings, such as your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a common theme among some criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be simple to work with, I thought the basic features were pretty great.

There are quite a few kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to different kinds of companies, and you can of course build your own funnel from scratch also.

Actionetics and Backpack

I will just have a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Full Suite is just three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What is Actionetics? Well, it’s exactly what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it’s a bit more complicated. The chief goal of Actionetics is smart analytics that result in smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool designed to create managing an affiliate program simpler and more effective.

However, are these attributes, or products? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels trying to market a iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but maybe I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Full Suite a little confusing and eliminates the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.

Here’s the full list of StartUp features
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 visitors
  • boundless contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split tests
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All advanced funnels
  • Sales funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Unlimited members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Purchase webpages
  • Upsell webpages
  • Downsale pages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per type

You can watch the complete list of features, together with complete Package attributes, here. If you are in a position where you can afford to try Etison for a bit and you also absolutely need an efficient, simple way of increasing earnings, I don’t believe you would find yourself shorted. By that same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack provide such a massive advantage that you can’t do without themfor most users, simply StartUp will offer a thorough adequate package.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is likely ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wanted to devote attention to it. In reality, I think a huge part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it turned into a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its own funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this particular landing page builder.

Anyway, there is rather a range of templates with good designs, however as you may expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel type, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.

You can also save certain templates and also create personal page templates, and it is pretty simple to find them. As you can see, it is possible to toggle with settings that are fundamental and open in the editor.

When your pages open from the editor, you be working with a drag and drop builder. It is a little more complicated than some other light page builders, but it’s still user friendly.

The editor utilizes a page structure with four main components: sections, rows, columns, and elements. Think of these parts as fitting inside each other (this informative article has a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and elements go inside of segments. You can have several sections per page. Rows and columns go inside segments, but columns especially go into rows. This way you can have around four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the dynamic bits that go inside columns and make your page interactive.

It might sound complicated, but it is pretty simple to get the hang . Everything is color-coded–for example, from the above screenshot, the selection is a light green box because it’s a section, but if I was hovering over a component, it would be orange.

You can also edit by section, row, column, etc, via the side bar. All of the small details and parts of your webpage can be altered or moved. The editor allows for plenty of customization, but offers control that is good . You can do a variety of things–cellular previews, edit colours, text, settings, and just about anything you anticipate. If you are handy with code, you can also add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I’ve heard (but do not have personally) about the builder is how grid-like it’s –you need to work within those rows and columns. Personally, I do not believe this is a huge problem and the builder gives you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
I enjoy the webpage builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page quite simple, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money online.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few distinct kinds of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of example, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you’re registered with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few partners you may enhance your integrations easily. Here’s a list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Continuous Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations section, you can search for these or simply click the search bar, and they will come up. It, just click on the one. Clickfunnels Alternative WordPress

The procedure for managing integrations is also simple, though you may need to check your third party software’s documentation to discover precisely what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll find the procedure pretty simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some attributes, such as the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very simple method of adding and handling integrations.

Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section separate from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also what they sound like: they are the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be much of a store unless you are using a payment gateway.

A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Managing all of these integrations is pretty simple –as long as you are all set up using whatever tool you’re attempting to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations usually operate and you do not have to fret much about them.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its ease of usage –because their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’tech men! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools which enable the less experienced to save money and time. That being the case, assessing ease of usage is really important.

Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some experience.

Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I would say the learning curve could be only a couple hours maximum. If you behind, pick up Russell Brunson’s books mentioned in the critique.

Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than creating funnels all on your own. They have a reasonable amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it appears to me as if most queries must be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.

All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The center features of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate into all sections of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or payment processors will require a bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it’s things you can figure out by Googling about or visiting the docs center.

Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it is overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters frequently, but it likely won’t be enough to significantly hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It unites choice and customizability with convenience, and while I’d indicate all prospective users input with some basic technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.

Who is ClickFunnels for?

Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience here) will get the maximum use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a companies over others.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and those that offer B2B services will probably be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does products or ventures that are independent. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those businesses: for example, if you’re a florist, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic method of marketing for you. If you are trying to center everything there would be great support also. The same goes for individuals selling content such as books or courses.

Of course, you could always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t believe you need to determine if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only in their default funnel types. If you are a smaller business, okay with the price , and you have to produce your visitors work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to keep a much better landing page.

Customer Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I think their documentation is only barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but nevertheless sufficient. Their page has a series of classes, each with their own articles. It might be easy, but content-wise it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Alternative WordPress

As for the customer service that is direct, they have a chat feature inside the dashboard once you log into, but I’m not delighted by it. They have been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more complex questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one HTML publishing query, they took to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users will not require that kind of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t provide that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Additionally, I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. In instances when features have not worked as promised or if there were weird site malfunctions, client service reps were either unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, a number of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. When he contacted customer service, he found that they were unhelpful and apathetic. It illustrates the point, although it might be a bizarre, unlikely situation.

Total Support Rating

I would not say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think that the team understand that their solutions are not easy to use and/or demand tools new to their users, and they’ve put resources into their support to make it decent. At least queries will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Perhaps consumers would not state ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it meets a bare minimum which makes it at least good. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

What’s the overarching conclusion? It is good–4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate contender in the marketing program space and worth trying out.

Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: you may want to look, Should you want a more hands-on answer to your marketing needs with greater customization skills. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or some glitches in the program. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.

But you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of these outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone advantages like superior templates, integrations that are strong, and the short learning curve.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center objective–to make it simpler for you to funnel visitors and attain higher conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be helpful for significantly less entrepreneurs. I’m pretty sure that for the majority of users, enough choice is offered by the webpage builder. If you’re looking first and foremost to get a simple but powerful sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. On promises, it has not attained its popularity after all, and that I’m giving it 4/5 stars.
