What’s ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only 3 years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to sell things online using otherwise complex marketing technologies, known as sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).

The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his creation, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other marketing experiences. He played around with email marketing for a while, and eventually started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets, two novels and the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets his lovers rave about and that guide people through his marketing methodologies. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Clickfunnels Alternative Free

ClickFunnels started out as a way to help Brunson and his team produce funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would normally take months. They soon realized their creation would be useful to others and had great potential as a product.

What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes individuals who do not know you and turns them to clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of steps developed to direct a website visitor.

There is a less boring method of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and rather than actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you call internet traffic or website traffic. Your website visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, many of your visitors doesn’t turn . In a brick and mortar shop, that is like people walking into your shop but not knowing where the cash register is, so they leave the store without buying anything. In a store, you can speak your clients. In a shop, you may be a bit more remote from your customers. This is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your clients’ . The funnel works incremental, bring visitors in closer and closer until people wind up at a payment page.

You are right if you feel that sounds cool –it’s turned into a massive deal for marketing. Russell Brunson did not just become wealthy by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I have got some great information: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to help save you time and energy–to do exactly what otherwise demands a lot of competence and/or an array of third party applications. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making money for the user. They make it quite simple to produce your accounts, put your content up, and begin taking payments. Additionally, it is pretty easy to pick everything up–it will likely take you a couple hours to find out a lot of what you need, maximum.

Drag and Drop Builder

A few features are very useful here. I enjoy how simple it’s to replicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a feature, and they have pulled it off well. Once you become accustomed to it, it is an simple to use drag and drop builder.

A/B analyzing

Built in A/B testing is great. All you need to do is duplicate a webpage, make your changes, and pick the amounts of the visitors you wish to view version A or B.

Great Choice of Integrations

I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to control.

WordPress Plugin

You’ll also find a useful WordPress plugin which lets you insert ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress website. It saves a lot of time and is a lot less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active installations.

All in 1

In general, it’s good to get things so concentrated: I will build my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and activate emails all from one platform.

All of this really does save time and money, resources you’d otherwise have to spend on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.

Reasonable Value

You may rest assured that the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you are permitted for a StartUp account is pretty decent. In case you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, then the full suite might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Alternative Free

ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packing great tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they’d have when they attempted to manage funnels another way.

Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review

I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it has quite a few places that require work.

A little drawback is the price. There are only two pricing alternatives, at $97 per month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not just another investment in your organization a drawback, and like I’ve said, you receive a package for it.

Lackluster Client Support

Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been fine with basic queries, but if you inquire harder things, especially about more innovative features, they won’t be very helpful.

Cult-like user base and applications also reliant on Creator

This is not an objective criticism of their merchandise but that I take a small problem with their advertising that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it’s hard to escape the hype. They’ve a great marketing. However, from a user experience perspective, it can acquire obtrusive. When you sign up for the applications, you may attempt to look at the objective features of the software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising methods.

This means you will find yourself buying online classes, publications, attending conventions, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and many posts is composed of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sports cars. Though these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they’re more concentrated on making quick cash instead of building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped folks do good things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line classes, saturation of trainers and specialists, and other spammy online marketer stuff.

Most of us know the creator is a marketing but much of this item is tied to his philosophy and his own brand. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it seems to be an expansion of Brunson’s platform.

At times it’s hard not to get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when some elements of the product (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more on the neighborhood. As you have the ability to personalize broadly within ClickFunnels, a lot of people use designs. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks floating about. Diversity is important.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or experience some mistakes. Though this doesn’t occur frequently, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a lot in advertising or forcing traffic to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts your pages down for even a couple of hours, then you may potentially lose a lot of cash.

It’s also hard to know when your pages are functioning or not, unless you always check or wait until you hear from angry customers. When I replicate webpages using the HTML printing alternative, barring bandwidth, I also deal with a few glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options alter, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.

I enjoy consistency in my software, particularly if it’s a business alternative.

Too Straightforward

At length, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with : it’s too simple, and too expensive for its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches that may be more economical upfront and yield more control over managing certain details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use bundle of resources, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test out the service, so at least you do not have to commit to a costly program right away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).

Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some might say so, and that I can see why–particularly in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 a month. But it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a pretty good job. Personally, I consider it a fantastic investment.

The principal differences between an entry level consideration along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the principal company, the funnel-builder, with some constraints on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the full list of features.

But, both plans have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split tests, and a few other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite includes a full list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality that allows you characterize a product as a one time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your customers pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with custom domain names; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.

If you are confused with Etison/ Total Package, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the following section of the ClickFunnels review.

To summarize the gaps, StartUp basically conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two other services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the full set of ClickFunnels attributes. You are able to view the full official record here.

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I believe they’re solid and you get everything you need. They’re largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are all great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them different segments. Clickfunnels Alternative Free

A/B split testing is a more compact feature, but definitely a one.

If you replicate a webpage and make changes to the backup, the divide test basically lets you choose what percentages of the traffic you want to view per page, letting you examine conversion rates very handily. It is a great function and very simple to use.

I also think ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for different settings, like your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a frequent theme among a few criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be easy to use, I believed the fundamental features were fairly great.

There are a number of types of available pre-made funnels, oriented into several types of businesses, and you can obviously build your personal funnel from scratch too.

Actionetics and Backpack

I have a minute within this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. Total Suite is just three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What is Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an e-mail or just an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complex. The chief goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which result in clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail in addition to email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics comes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to create managing an affiliate system simpler and more efficient.

But are these attributes, or products that are separate? Actionetics seems somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to market an iffy email auto-responder for me, but perhaps I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Complete Suite a bit confusing and removes the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.

Here’s the Complete list of StartUp features
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • boundless contacts
  • 3 habit domains
  • A/B split tests
  • Mail integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All advanced funnels
  • Sales funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Unlimited members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Purchase pages
  • Upsell pages
  • Downsale pages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per form

You can watch the full list of features, together with complete Suite features, here. If you are in a situation where you can afford to try Etison for a bit and you absolutely need an efficient, easy way of increasing sales, I don’t think you would wind up shorted. By that same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge benefit that you can’t do without them: for most users, just StartUp will offer a thorough adequate bundle.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is likely ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wanted to devote attention. In reality, I think a huge part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high score has to do with it being a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction applications and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely for this particular landing page builder.

Anyhow, there is rather a range of templates with great layouts, however as you may expect, just the templates made by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are coordinated by funnel kind, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.

You might even save certain templates and create own page templates, and it is pretty easy to find them. As you can see, you open from the editor and can toggle with settings.

You will essentially be working with a drag and drop builder once your pages open from the editor. It is a little more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it is still user friendly.

The editor utilizes a page structure with four main parts: sections, columns, rows, and components. Think of these parts as fitting inside every other (this informative article has a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: rows, columns, and elements go inside of sections. You can have several sections per page. Rows and columns move indoors segments, but columns specifically enter rows. This way you can have up to four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the bits that go columns and make your page interactive.

It might sound complex, but it is pretty easy to get the hang . Everything is color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the choice is a mild green box because it’s a part, however when I was hovering over a component, it would be orange.

You could edit section, row, column, etc, via the side bar. All the little details and parts of your webpage can be altered or moved. The editor allows for lots of customization, but provides control also. You can do a variety of things–cellular previews, edit colors, text, settings, and just about anything you expect. If you are handy with code, you may even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have personally) on the builder is the way grid-like it is–you have to work within these rows and columns. I personally do not believe this is a massive problem and the builder gives you enough control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
In general, I enjoy the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page quite simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct kinds of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of example, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are registered with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few notable partners you may add to your integrations. Here’s a Complete list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Continuous Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to a integrations segment, you can look for these or simply click the search bar, and they will come up. It, just click the one. Clickfunnels Alternative Free

The process for handling integrations is also simple, though you may have to check your third party program’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll find the procedure straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some features, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very straightforward method of incorporating and managing integrations.

Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get integrated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a part separate from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your clients to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be much of a store unless you’re using a payment gateway.

A list of the payment gateways you can include:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Managing all of these integrations is pretty easy–so long as you’re all set up using whatever tool you are trying to incorporate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations operate smoothly and you don’t have to fret much about them.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main market is its simplicity of usage –because their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that allow the less experienced to save money and time. That being the situation, evaluating ease of use is pretty significant.

Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you need to still have some expertise.

Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For most people, I’d say the learning curve would be only a few hours max. If you’re actually behind, pick up Russell Brunson’s books mentioned earlier in the review.

Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels on your own. They have a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it seems to me as if most queries should be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.

All that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang of. The core features of ClickFunnels–that the actual funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations involving email integrations or payment processors will require a bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere near the quantity of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it’s things you can figure out by Googling around or seeing the docs centre.

Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters frequently, but it likely will not be enough to hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It combines choice and customizability with convenience, and while I’d suggest all potential users enter with a few simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.

Who is ClickFunnels for?

Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience ) will get the most use from it. There are variations in funnel types that appeal to some companies.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or community advertising, and even those that offer B2B services would probably be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does products or ventures that are independent. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those industries: for instance, if you’re a gentleman, you may come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a good method of marketing for you. If you are attempting to center everything around yourself and your brand, there would be great support also. The same goes for individuals selling content such as books or classes.

Of course, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t believe you should decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely in their default funnel types. If you’re a smaller company, okay with the price tag, and you have to make your traffic work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anybody who would like to maintain a much better landing page.

Customer Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area which is composed of a few nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for getting decent documentation on-site. I think their documentation is sufficient, although barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their docs page has a series of categories, each with their own posts. It may be easy, however content-wise it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Alternative Free

As for the immediate customer service, they have a chat feature inside the dashboard after you log into, but I’m not too delighted by it. They’ve generally been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more complex questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing question, they took three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users won’t require that kind of support and to be honest, most SaaS companies don’t provide that level of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. In cases when features haven’t worked as promised or if there were bizarre site malfunctions, customer support representatives were either unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, some of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. After he contacted customer support, he found that they were unhelpful and apathetic. It illustrates the point, although it might be a weird, unlikely scenario.

Overall Support Rating

I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think the team understand that their solutions are not easy to use and/or involve tools fresh to their customers, and they’ve put enough resources into their support to make it decent. At least queries will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Perhaps users wouldn’t state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it largely meets a bare minimum that makes it. Within this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

What’s the overarching conclusion? It is fine –4 out of 5 stars! It is a legitimate contender in the marketing software space and worth trying out.

Yeah, a few drawbacks are: you may want to look Should you need a more hands-on answer to your advertising needs with higher customization abilities. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with customer service agents, or some glitches in the software. You could be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering everything, I don’t think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let additional positives like templates that are good , solid integrations, and the brief learning curve.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core goal –to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and reach higher conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be useful for entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed that are significantly less. I am pretty certain that for the vast majority of prospective users, option is offered by the webpage builder. If you’re looking for an easy but powerful sales alternative or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. On promises, it hasn’t reached its popularity after all, and that I’m giving it 4/5 stars.
