What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only three years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using differently complicated advertising technology, called sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).

The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his creation, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other advertising experiences. He played around with email advertising for some time, and eventually started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets two books, and Expert Secrets that his fans rave that direct and about people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Clickfunnels Affiliate Training

ClickFunnels started out as a way to help Brunson and his staff create funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would normally take weeks. However, they soon realized their creation would be useful to other people and had great potential as a commodity.

Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes individuals who do not know you personally and turns them into clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of measures developed to guide a website visitor.

There’s a less dull method of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients you telephone internet traffic or website visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, that still doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors into clients. In a physical shop, that’s like people walking in to your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so they leave the shop without buying anything. At a store, you can talk your clients. In a store, you may be a bit more remote from the visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to appeal to your customers’ through principles of psychology. The funnel works incremental, draw visitors in closer and closer until visitors wind up in a page.

You are correct, if you feel this sounds cool –it’s turned into a huge bargain for advertising. Russell Brunson did become wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it too.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I’ve got some great information: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is meant to save time and energy–to do what requires a lot of technological competence and/or an array of third party applications. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Cash

Among the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making the consumer money. They make it quite easy to produce your accounts, put your content up, and start taking payments. Additionally, it is rather easy to pick up everything –it’ll likely take you a few hours to figure out a lot of what you need, maximum.

Drag and Drop Builder

A few features are extremely useful here. I enjoy how easy it’s to replicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a fairly important attribute, and they’ve pulled it off well. It is an simple to use drag and drop builder As soon as you get used to it.

A/B testing

Constructed in A/B testing is great. All you have to do is replicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and choose the numbers of your visitors that you want to view variant A or B.

Great selection of Integrations

I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations pretty well. Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are easy to control.

WordPress Plugin

You will also find a WordPress plugin which allows you insert ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress website. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin , using over 20,000 active installations.

All in 1

Overall, it’s great to have things so concentrated: I will build my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.

All of this really will save time and money, resources you would otherwise have to invest on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.

Reasonable Worth

You may rest assured the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you’re allowed for a StartUp account is really decent. In case you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the complete package might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Affiliate Training

ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packing good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they’d have if they tried to handle funnels another way.

Cons: Clickfunnels Review

I have some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has a number of places that require work.

A drawback is the cost. There are two alternatives, at either $97 a month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not like I have said a different investment in your business, and a drawback, you receive a good package for this.

Lackluster Customer Service

Beyond this, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been fine with basic questions, but if you inquire more difficult things, especially about more advanced features, they will not be quite beneficial.

Cult-like user base and applications also reliant on Founder

This isn’t an objective criticism of the merchandise but I take a small issue with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it’s hard to escape the hype. They have a fantastic advertising for sure. But from a user experience perspective, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you register for the software, you may attempt to examine the purpose features of the software and integrate it into your own workflow, or you’re going to be lost and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s marketing methods.

This usually means you’ll find yourself purchasing online courses, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and articles consists of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sport cars. Though these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they’re more focused on earning quick money rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do good things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, on line courses, saturation of coaches and experts, and other spammy online entrepreneurs stuff.

Most of us know the founder is a marketing magician, but so much of this item is tied into his brand and his philosophy. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it looks like an extension of Brunson’s platform.

At times it’s difficult to not get the sensation which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, particularly when some aspects of their product (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more about the community. As you’ve got the capability to personalize broadly within ClickFunnels, many people use similar designs. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is vital.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some errors or will go down. Though this doesn’t happen often, there’s little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or forcing visitors to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a few hours, then you can potentially lose a good deal of cash.

It’s also hard to know if your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t always check or wait until you hear from angry clients. When I replicate webpages using the HTML printing option barring uptime, I deal with some glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options alter, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring out things.

I like consistency within my software if it is a business alternative.

Too Simple

At length, a criticism I’ve heard but do not quite agree with personally: it’s too easy, and too expensive for its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that can be cheaper upfront and yield more control over handling specific details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an simple to use bundle of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels has two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively known as ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month and Etison comes at $297 per month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test out the support , so at least you do not have to commit to a costly program right away. If you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).

Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some would say so, and I could see why–especially in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 per month. However, it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a pretty great job. I consider it a good investment.

The main differences between an entry level account and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the main service, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the complete list of features.

However, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and a few other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite has a complete list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality that lets you characterize a product as a one-time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your customers cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domains; priority support and template asks; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Total Suite, do not worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the following section of the ClickFunnels review.

To outline the differences, StartUp basically conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You are able to view the complete official record .

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

Are ClickFunnels’ attributes complete? I think that they’re solid and you get whatever you want. They’re largely intuitive and supply you with a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I’ll be giving them different sections. Clickfunnels Affiliate Training

A/B split testing is a feature, but unquestionably a one.

If you duplicate a webpage and also make changes to the backup, the split test basically enables you to choose what percentages of the visitors that you need to view per page, allowing you test conversion rates very handily. It’s a function and easy to use.

I also believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and straightforward for different settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but while the support is supposed to be easy to work with, I believed the fundamental features were pretty good.

There are a number of types of available pre-made funnels, oriented to different kinds of companies, and you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch also.

Actionetics and Backpack

I’ll only have a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my view, Full Suite is just three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What’s Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it is a little more complex. The main objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics comes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to make managing an affiliate program easier and more efficient.

But are products, or such features? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels trying to sell an iffy email auto-responder for me personally, but maybe I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Complete Suite a little confusing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.

Here is the full list of StartUp attributes
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 visitors
  • unlimited contacts
  • 3 habit domains
  • A/B split tests
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All advanced funnels
  • Sales funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Endless members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Purchase webpages
  • Upsell webpages
  • Downsale webpages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per form

You may view the full list of features, along with complete Suite attributes, here. If you’re in a situation where you are able to manage to try out Etison for a little and you absolutely require an efficient, simple method of increasing earnings, I do not think you would wind up shorted. By that same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack offer such a massive advantage that you can not do without them: for most users, simply StartUp will provide a thorough adequate bundle.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is likely ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wished to devote attention. In reality, I think a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it being a really solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction applications and advertises its own funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely for this landing page builder.

Anyway, there is quite an array of templates with good designs, however as you can expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are coordinated by funnel type, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.

You can even save certain templates and also create personal page templates, and it is rather easy to find them. It is possible to toggle with fundamental settings and open in the editor as you can see.

You be working with a drag and drop builder once your pages start in the editor. It is a little more complex than some other light page builders, but it is still user friendly.

The editor utilizes a page structure with four main parts: sections, rows, columns, and elements. Consider these parts as fitting inside each other (this informative article includes a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and components go inside of segments. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns go inside segments, but columns specifically enter rows. This way you may have around four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the bits that go within columns and also make your page interactive to its visitors.

It might sound complicated, but it’s pretty simple to get the hang . Everything is color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box because it is a part, but when I was hovering over an element, it would be orange.

You can edit section, row, column, etc, via the side bar. Parts of your webpage and all the details can be moved or altered. The template editor allows for plenty of customization, but offers good control . You can do a variety of things–cellular previews, edit colors, text, configurations, and nearly anything you anticipate. If you are handy with code, you may even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A small criticism I have heard (but don’t have personally) about the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you need to work within these columns and rows. I personally do not believe this is a huge issue and the builder provides you enough hands without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
I enjoy the page builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few distinct types of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For example, you might add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are enrolled with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few notable partners you can enhance your integrations easily. Here’s a list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to a integrations section, you can search for these or simply click on the search bar, and they will come up. It is pretty self-explanatory, simply click on the one you want and add it. Clickfunnels Affiliate Training

The procedure for managing integrations can also be simple, though you might need to look at your third party software’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the process simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some features, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have an extremely simple method of incorporating and managing integrations.

Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section separate from integrations. They may be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they are the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop will not really be a lot of store unless you are using a payment gateway.

A listing of the payment gateways you can add:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Managing each of these integrations is fairly simple –so long as you are all set up with whatever tool you are attempting to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations run and you don’t have to fret much about them.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important sell is its ease of usage –as their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the main ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools which enable the less experienced to save money and time. That being the case, assessing ease of use is really significant.

Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you should still have some experience.

Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I’d say the learning curve could be just a couple hours maximum. If you behind, pick up Russell Brunson’s books mentioned previously in the critique.

Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it seems to me like most queries should be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.

All that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The core features of ClickFunnels–that the actual funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or payment processors will want a little bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it is things you’ll be able to figure out by Googling about or seeing the docs centre.

Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters frequently, but it likely will not be sufficient to hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 at simplicity of use. It combines choice and customizability with convenience, and while I’d indicate all prospective users enter with some basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.

Who’s ClickFunnels for?

Who really stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience ) will find the most use out of it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to a companies over others.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or network marketing, and even those offering B2B services would probably be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does well with people offering more creative products or ventures that are individual. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those industries: for instance, if you’re a gentleman, you may come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic method of marketing for you. If you are attempting to center everything on your own and your brand, there would be support too. The same goes for people selling content such as classes or publications.

Of course, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I don’t believe you need to determine if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only in their default funnel types. If you’re a smaller business, alright with the price , and you need to make your visitors work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anyone who would like to maintain a better landing page.

Customer Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but sufficient. Their docs page includes a series of categories, each with their own articles. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it may be easy. Clickfunnels Affiliate Training

As for the direct customer service, they have a chat feature inside the dashboard after you log in, but I’m not pleased with it. They’ve generally been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more advanced questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing query, they required to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users won’t need that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS companies don’t offer that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Additionally, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. In instances when features have not worked when there were site malfunctions or as promised, customer support reps were either unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, some of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only articles. When he contacted customer support, he found they were unhelpful. It might be a scenario that is improbable, however it illustrates the point.

Total Support Rating

I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in client support–I feel that the team understand that their solutions are not simple to use and/or demand tools new to their users, and they’ve put resources in their support to make it adequate. At least basic questions will be answered, and they are fairly responsive. Maybe consumers wouldn’t state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets. Within this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

What’s the overarching verdict? It’s fine –4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate contender in the advertising program area and worth trying out.

Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: If you need a more solution to your advertising needs with customization abilities that are greater, you may want to check. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or any glitches in the software. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone advantages such as templates that are good, integrations that are solid, and the short learning curve.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and attain higher conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be quite useful for less entrepreneurs. I’m pretty certain that for the vast majority of potential users, the page builder provides choice. If you are looking to get an sales alternative or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. It has not attained its popularity on promises, and that’s why I am giving 4/5 stars to it.
