What’s ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just 3 years it has been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell things online using differently complex marketing technologies, known as sales funnels (more on those in a second).

The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his invention, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other marketing adventures. He played with email advertising for a while, and started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets, two novels that his lovers rave that direct and about people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website Clickfunnels Affiliate Center

ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his team produce funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would normally take months. They soon realized their creation would be useful to other people and had great potential as a product.

Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes people who don’t understand you personally and turns them into customers, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of measures developed to guide a website visitor.

There is a less dull way of thinking about it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you telephone internet traffic or website traffic. Your website visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your website is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, that still doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors . In a brick and mortar store, that’s like people walking into your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without purchasing anything. You can speak your customers. In a shop that is digital, you may be a little more remote from your visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your customers’ through principles of psychology. The funnel functions step-by-step, draw visitors in closer and closer till visitors end up in a payment page.

If you feel this sounds cool, you’re correct –it has turned into a huge bargain for advertising. Russell Brunson did get rich by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I’ve got some great information: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is meant to help save time and energy–to do exactly what demands a whole lot of proficiency and/or a range of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making money for the user. They make it quite simple to make your accounts, put up your content, and start taking payments. Additionally, it is pretty easy to select everything up–it’ll probably take you a few hours to find out most of what you need, maximum.

Drag and Drop Builder

A few features are extremely useful here. I like how easy it’s to replicate pages, and also the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their webpage builder is a attribute that is fairly important, and they have pulled it. It is an easy to use drag and drop builder As soon as you become accustomed to it.

A/B testing

Constructed in A/B testing is excellent. All you have to do is replicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and pick the amounts of your traffic that you want to view variant A or B.

Great selection of Integrations

I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment chips aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to control.

WordPress Plugin

You will also find a WordPress plugin that allows you add ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress website. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle compared to working between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active setups.

All in one

In general, it is great to have things so centralized: I can build my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.

All of this really will save time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to spend on programmers, CSShosting configurations, and so on.

Reasonable Worth

You can be sure the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you’re allowed for a StartUp account is really decent. In case you have more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, the full suite might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Affiliate Center

ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packing great tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they’d have if they tried to manage funnels another manner.

Cons: Clickfunnels Review

I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it has quite a few places that need work.

Overpriced?

A drawback is the cost. There are just two alternatives, at $97 per month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t a drawback, another investment in your business, and like I have said, you get a package for it.

Lackluster Customer Service

Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with fundamental queries, but if you ask them more difficult things, particularly about more innovative features, they won’t be very helpful.

Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Creator

This is not an objective criticism of their merchandise but that I take a slight problem with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it’s hard to escape the hype. They have a advertising for certain. But from a user experience perspective, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you sign up for the software, you may attempt to examine the objective features of this software and integrate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and made to find out Russell Brunson’s marketing methods.

This usually means you’ll end up purchasing online classes, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and most posts consists of people bragging about how much money they created and flashing their sports cars. Although these numbers are real, the consumers provide an impression that they’re more concentrated on making quick money instead of building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online courses, saturation of trainers and experts, and other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.

We all know the creator is a marketing magician, but much of this item is tied to his doctrine and his own brand. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything about it looks to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.

Sometimes it’s hard to not get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when some elements of the merchandise (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one is not on ClickFunnels but more about the neighborhood. As you’ve got the capability to customize broadly within ClickFunnels, a lot of people use designs. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks floating around. Diversity is vital.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some mistakes or will return. Though this doesn’t occur often, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a great deal in advertising or driving traffic to your own funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a couple of hours, you may potentially lose a lot of cash.

It’s also difficult to know when your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t constantly wait or wait till you hear from angry customers. Barring bandwidth, I also deal with a few glitches when I clone webpages using the HTML publishing option.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing choices alter, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels remains figuring things out.

I like consistency in my software, particularly if it’s a business alternative.

Too Simple

Finally, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with personally: it is too simple, and too pricey for its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches that can be cheaper upfront and yield more control over managing certain details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an simple to use bundle of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test out the service, so at least you do not have to commit to a costly plan straight away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).

Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some might say so, and I could see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 per month. But it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to make funnels more effective, and it does a fairly great job. I consider it a fantastic investment.

The principal differences between an entry level consideration along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the principal service, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just some of the full list of features.

But, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split evaluations, and a few other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite has a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature that allows you characterize a product as a one time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your customers pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domain names; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics along with Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Package, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I think ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the following section of the ClickFunnels review.

To outline the differences, StartUp essentially conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels features. You can view the complete official record .

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ attributes overall? I think that they’re strong and you get whatever you need. They are largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all good examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them separate sections. Clickfunnels Affiliate Center

A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a feature a noteworthy one.

If you duplicate a webpage and also make changes to the copy, the divide test basically lets you choose what percentages of your traffic that you want to view per page, allowing you test conversion rates very conveniently. It is very simple to use and a function.

In addition, I think ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for different settings, like your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a common theme among a few criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be simple to use, I believed the basic features were fairly good.

There are a number of kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented into several kinds of businesses, and you can obviously build your personal funnel from scratch also.

Actionetics and Backpack

I will only have a minute within this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my opinion, Total Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What’s Actionetics? Well, it’s exactly what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it is a little more complicated. The chief goal of Actionetics is smart analytics that result in clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail in addition to email, and some other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool supposed to make managing an affiliate program simpler and more effective.

However, are products that are separate, or these features? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to market an iffy email auto-responder to me, but maybe I’m just cynical. In any case, it makes Complete Suite a little perplexing and eliminates the coherency you get with the original ClickFunnels.

Here’s the Complete list of all StartUp attributes
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • unlimited contacts
  • 3 habit domains
  • A/B split tests
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All innovative funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Endless members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Purchase pages
  • Upsell pages
  • Downsale webpages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 billing integration per type

You may watch the full list of features, together with complete Package features, here. If you’re in a position where you can manage to try Etison for a little and you also absolutely require an efficient, easy method of increasing earnings, I don’t think you would wind up shorted. By that same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge benefit that you can not do without them: for many users, just StartUp will offer a thorough adequate bundle.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is likely ClickFunnels’ most important attribute, so I wanted to devote exclusive attention. In reality, I think a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it being a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its own funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this landing page builder.

Anyhow, there’s rather an array of templates with good designs, however as you can expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel kind, therefore poking around is not too hard.

You can also save certain templates and make personal page templates, and it is pretty simple to see them. As you can see, you open in the editor and can toggle with settings.

When you start your pages you be working using a drag and drop builder. It’s a little more complicated than some other light page builders, but it is still user friendly.

The editor uses a page structure with four chief parts: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Think of these parts as fitting inside each other (this informative article includes a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: elements, columns, and rows go inside of segments. You can have several sections per page. Rows and columns go inside sections, but columns especially enter rows. This way you may have around four, or a row with one column. Elements are the lively bits that make your page interactive and go inside columns.

It might sound complicated, but it is rather simple to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for example, in the above screenshot, the selection is a light green box since it’s a part, but if I was hovering over an element, it could be orange.

You can even edit section, row, column, etc, via the side bar. All of the little details and parts of your webpage can be moved or altered. The template editor allows for plenty of customization, but provides control that is good also. You can do all sorts of things–cellular previews, edit colors, text, configurations, and nearly anything you expect. If you are handy with code, then you may also add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A small criticism I’ve heard (but do not have personally) on the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you have to work within those rows and columns. I personally don’t think this is a huge issue and the builder gives you enough control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
I like the webpage builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few distinct kinds of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. By way of instance, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are enrolled with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few partners you can enhance your integrations readily. Here’s a Complete list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to a integrations section, you can look for these or simply click the search bar, and they will come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, simply click the one you want and add it. Clickfunnels Affiliate Center

The process for handling integrations can also be straightforward, though you might need to check your third party software’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the process pretty simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some attributes, like the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very simple method of incorporating and handling integrations.

Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other applications platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a part different from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop will not really be a lot of shop unless you are using a payment gateway.

A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Managing all these integrations is fairly simple –so long as you are all set up using whatever tool you are attempting to incorporate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations operate and you do not need to fret much about them.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main market is its ease of use–as their advertisement says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which allow the less experienced save money and time. That being the case, assessing ease of use is pretty important.

Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some experience.

Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I would say the learning curve would be just a couple hours max. If you’re actually behind, pick up Russell Brunson’s books mentioned in the critique.

Anyhow, ClickFunnels is unquestionably easier than creating funnels all on your own. They have a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it appears to me as if most questions should be covered, and you could always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.

All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The center characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or charge processors will want a little bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it is things you can determine by Googling about or visiting the docs centre.

Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it likely will not be enough to hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It combines choice and customizability with ease, and while I’d indicate all prospective users enter with a few basic technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.

Who is ClickFunnels for?

Who really stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (speaking from experience here) will find the most use out of it. There are naturally variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some businesses over others.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and those that offer B2B services will most likely be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does independent ventures or products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards these businesses: for instance, if you’re a florist, you might come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic method of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything there would be support too. The same holds for people selling content such as books or classes.

Of course, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I don’t believe you need to decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only on their default funnel kinds. If you’re a smaller company, alright with the price , and you need to produce your visitors work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anyone who would like to maintain a much better landing page.

Customer Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is just barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but adequate. Their page has a collection of categories. Content-wise it isn’t too shabby, although it might be simple. Clickfunnels Affiliate Center

As for the customer assistance, they’ve a chat feature inside the dashboard once you log into, but I’m not overly pleased by it. They’ve generally been useful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more advanced questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they required three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t need that kind of support and to be honest, most SaaS businesses don’t offer that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Furthermore, I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. Notably, in instances when features haven’t worked when there were weird site malfunctions or as promised, client support reps were supposedly unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, because of site error, some of his customers were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only articles. When he contacted customer support, he found they were unhelpful and apathetic. It may be a unlikely situation, however it illustrates the point.

Overall Support Rating

I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel the team understand that their solutions are not perfectly simple to use and/or demand tools new to their users, and they have put resources in their support to make it adequate. At least basic queries will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Maybe users wouldn’t state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it mostly meets a minimum which makes it. Within this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

So, what’s the verdict that is overarching? It is fine –4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate competitor in the advertising program area and worth trying out.

Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: Should you need a more hands-on solution to your marketing needs with higher customization skills, you may want to check. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or any glitches in the program. You could be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of these outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone advantages like templates that are superior, integrations that are solid, and the learning curve.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core goal –to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and reach conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be quite helpful for entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed that are less. I am pretty sure that for the majority of users, the page builder offers enough choice. If you are looking for an sales alternative or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. On empty promises, it hasn’t reached its popularity In the end, and that’s why I’m giving 4/5 stars to it.
