What’s ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just three years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market things online using otherwise complex marketing technologies, known as sales funnels (more about those in a second).

The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his creation, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, but not only from ClickFunnels, but marketing adventures. He played around with email marketing for a while, and started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets two books, and Secrets his fans rave about and that guide people through his marketing methodologies. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website Clickfunnels Add Timer

ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his team create funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would usually take months. They soon realized their creation would be helpful to others and had good potential as a commodity.

Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes people who do not understand you personally and turns them to customers, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of measures developed to direct a web site visitor into the checkout page.

There is a boring method of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you call web traffic or website visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your website is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, that still doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors into customers. In a brick and mortar shop, that is like people walking into your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without purchasing anything. At a store, you can speak your customers. In a digital shop, you may be a little more distant from the customers. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your customers’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel functions step-by-step, draw visitors in closer and closer till visitors end up at a payment page.

You are correct, if you feel that sounds cool –it’s turned into a huge bargain for marketing. Russell Brunson didn’t just become rich by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I’ve got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to help save time and energy–to do exactly what requires a whole lot of technological proficiency and/or a range of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is its focus on earning money for your user. They make it put your content up simple to make your account, and start taking payments. Additionally, it’s pretty easy to select everything up–it will probably take you a couple hours to figure out a lot of what you require, maximum.

Drag and Drop Builder

A few features are very useful here. I enjoy how simple it is to replicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a attribute that is fairly important, and they’ve pulled it off nicely. It is an builder once you get used to it.

A/B testing

Constructed in A/B testing is excellent. All you need to do is duplicate a page, make your changes, and choose the amounts of your traffic you wish to see variant A or B.

Great selection of Integrations

I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to control.

WordPress Plugin

You’ll also find a handy WordPress plugin that lets you insert ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress website. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active setups.

All in 1

In general, it’s great to get things so concentrated: I can construct my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.

All of this really does save time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to invest on developers, CSShosting configurations, etc.

Reasonable Value

You may rest assured that the lower-tiered accounts is a great investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp account is pretty decent. If you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, the full suite may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Add Timer

ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a great job of packing good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they would have if they attempted to handle funnels another way.

Cons: Clickfunnels Review

I’ve got some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s quite a few places that need work.

A drawback is the cost. There are two alternatives, at $97 a month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not like I’ve said , just another investment in your organization, and a drawback, you receive a fantastic package for this.

Lackluster Client Service

Beyond this, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with basic queries, but if you inquire more difficult things, especially about more advanced features, they won’t be very helpful.

Cult-like user base and applications also reliant on Creator

This isn’t an objective criticism of their product but that I take a small problem with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype. They have a marketing. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. When you sign up for the applications, you may attempt to look at the objective features of this software and incorporate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and made to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.

This means you will find yourself purchasing online courses, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and posts consists of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sports cars. Although these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they’re more focused on earning quick money rather than building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it has also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online classes, saturation of trainers and specialists, along with other spammy online entrepreneurs stuff.

We know the creator is a marketing magician, but much of this product is tied to his doctrine and his brand. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything about it seems to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.

At times it’s hard not to get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when some elements of their product (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more on the neighborhood. While you have the ability to personalize extensively within ClickFunnels, a lot of men and women use layouts. Taking into consideration the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large quantity of ClickFunnel-y seems floating about. Diversity is important.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels will return or encounter some mistakes. Though this really doesn’t happen often, there is little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a great deal in advertising or forcing traffic to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts your pages down for even a few hours, you may potentially lose a good deal of money.

It’s also difficult to know when your pages are functioning or not, unless you always wait or wait till you hear from angry clients. Barring uptime, I deal with a few glitches when I clone webpages using the HTML printing option.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options change, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring out things.

I like consistency in my applications, particularly if it is a business solution.

Too Straightforward

At length, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with : it’s too easy, and too expensive because of its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches which may be cheaper upfront and give more control over handling specific details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an simple to use bundle of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try the support , in order you do not need to commit to a costly program right away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Package ).

Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some would say so, and that I can see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that starts at $25 a month. However, it’s necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a fairly great job. I consider it a good investment.

The main differences between an entry level account and a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the main company, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the amount of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the full list of features.

However, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split tests, and a few other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite includes a full list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack feature that allows you characterize a product as a one-time payment merchandise for your payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your customers pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, and custom domains; priority support and template asks; as well as Actionetics along with Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Suite, do not worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the following section of this ClickFunnels review.

To summarize the differences, StartUp essentially carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Package, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two other providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You can view the full official record here.

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

Are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I think they’re strong and you get whatever you need. They’re largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are great examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them different sections. Clickfunnels Add Timer

A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a more compact feature a noteworthy one.

If you replicate a webpage and also make changes to the backup, the divide test basically lets you choose what percentages of your traffic you want to see per page, allowing you test conversion rates very conveniently. It is a fantastic function and very easy to use.

In addition, I think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for other settings, like your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them restrictive (a common theme among some criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be simple to use, I thought the basic features were fairly great.

There are a number of kinds of available pre-made funnels, oriented into different kinds of businesses, and also you can obviously build your personal funnel from scratch too.

Actionetics and Backpack

I take a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my opinion, Full Suite is just three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What is Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complicated. The main goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail in addition to email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool designed to make managing an affiliate system simpler and more efficient.

However, are such features, or products that are separate? Actionetics seems a bit like ClickFunnels trying to sell a iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but maybe I’m just cynical. In any case, it makes Complete Suite a bit confusing and eliminates the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.

Here’s the full list of StartUp attributes
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • unlimited contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split tests
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All advanced funnels
  • Sales funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Unlimited members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Order webpages
  • Upsell webpages
  • Downsale pages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per form

You can view the full list of features, together with complete Package attributes, here. If you’re in a position where you are able to manage to try out Etison for a bit and you absolutely require an efficient, easy way of increasing earnings, I do not think you’d find yourself shorted. By that same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge advantage that you can not do without themfor many users, simply StartUp will offer a comprehensive enough bundle.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is ClickFunnels’ main attribute, so I wanted to devote special attention. In reality, I feel a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high score has to do with it turned into a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its own funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it largely with this landing page builder.

Anyway, there’s quite a range of templates with good designs, though as you can expect, just the templates made by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel kind, so poking around is not too hard.

You might also save certain templates and also make personal page templates, and it is rather easy to find them. It is possible to toggle with settings and open in the editor as you can see.

Once your pages start in the editor, you will basically be working using a drag and drop builder. It’s a little more complex than some other light page builders, but it is still user friendly.

The editor uses a page structure with four main parts: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Think of these components as fitting within each other (this informative article includes a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and elements go inside of sections. You can have multiple sections per page. Rows and columns move inside sections, but columns especially enter rows. This way you may have a row with one column, or up to four. Elements are the bits that go columns and also make your page interactive.

It may sound complex, but it is rather simple to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the selection is a light green box since it’s a part, but if I had been hovering over an element, it could be orange.

You can edit by section, row, column, and so on, through the side bar. Parts of your page and all the little details can be altered or moved. The editor allows for plenty of customization, but offers control that is good . You can do a variety of things–mobile previews, edit colors, text, configurations, and just about anything you anticipate. If you are handy with code, you can even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have ) about the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you have to work within these rows and columns. Personally, I do not think this is a massive problem and the builder provides you enough hands without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
I like the page builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it functions ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct kinds of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For example, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are registered with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few notable partners you may enhance your integrations easily. Here’s a full list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Continuous Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations section, you can search for these or simply click the search bar, and they will come up. It, just click the one you want and add it. Clickfunnels Add Timer

The process for managing integrations can also be simple, though you may need to check your third party program’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the process simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some features, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very straightforward method of adding and managing integrations.

Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section separate from integrations. They might be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also what they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be a lot of shop unless you are using a payment gateway.

A list of the payment gateways you can include:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Handling each of these integrations is pretty simple –as long as you are all set up with whatever tool you’re attempting to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations operate and you do not need to fret much.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

If you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its ease of usage –as their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that enable the less experienced save money and time. That being the situation, evaluating ease of use is pretty significant.

Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you should still have some experience.

Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I’d say that the learning curve could be just a couple hours max. If you behind, pick up the books mentioned in the review of Russell Brunson.

Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than creating funnels on your own. They have a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it appears to me as if most queries must be covered, and you could always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.

All that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang . The center features of ClickFunnels–that the actual funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations involving email integrations or charge processors will require a little bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it’s stuff you’ll be able to figure out by Googling around or visiting the docs centre.

Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it is overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters frequently, but it likely will not be enough to hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 at simplicity of use. It unites choice and customizability with convenience, and while I’d indicate all prospective users enter with some basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.

Who’s ClickFunnels for?

Who really stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience ) will find the most use from it. There are variations in funnel types that appeal to some companies over others.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and even those that offer B2B services will probably be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does ventures or products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those industries: for instance, if you are a florist, you might come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a good way of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything on your own and your brand, there would be great support too. The same holds for individuals selling content such as classes or publications.

Of course, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I don’t think you need to decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only in their default funnel kinds. If you are a smaller business, alright with the price , and you have to produce your traffic work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to maintain a better landing page.

Customer Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting decent documentation on-site. I think their documentation is adequate, although barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their docs page includes a collection of categories, each with their own articles. It might be easy, however content-wise it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Add Timer

As after you log into for the customer assistance that is immediate, they’ve a feature within the dashboard, but I’m not delighted by it. They’ve been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more complex questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they took three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users will not require that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS businesses don’t offer that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. Notably, in cases when attributes have not worked as promised or when there were site malfunctions, client support reps were either unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, because of site error, a number of his clients were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only articles. He found they were unhelpful and apathetic, when he contacted customer service. It illustrates the point, although it may be a unlikely scenario.

Overall Support Rating

I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I think that the team understand that their services are not perfectly simple to use and/or involve tools new for their users, and they have put enough resources into their support to make it decent. At least questions will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Perhaps users would not say ClickFunnels has customer support, but it largely meets a bare minimum which makes it at least great. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

What’s the conclusion that is overarching? It is fine! It’s a legitimate contender in the marketing program space and worth trying out.

Yeah, a few drawbacks are: Should you want a more answer to your advertising needs with customization abilities that are greater, you may want to check into third party choices you’ll be able to tie. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with customer service representatives, or any glitches in the program. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering everything, I do not think any of these outweigh the solid landing page builder, let additional positives like the learning curveintegrations, and templates.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and attain higher conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be quite helpful for significantly less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I’m pretty certain that for the huge majority of users, the page builder offers option. If you’re looking for an easy but solid sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. After all, it hasn’t reached its popularity on empty promises, and that I’m giving it 4/5 celebrities.
