ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only 3 years it has been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market things online using differently complex advertising technologies, known as sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, not only from ClickFunnels, but advertising experiences. He played around with email marketing for some time, and started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets two novels, and Secrets that his lovers rave about and that direct people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website . Clickfunnels Add Manager
ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his staff create funnels more rapidly for different ventures, as creating funnels would normally take months. They soon realized their production would be useful to others and had good potential as a product.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes people who do not understand you personally and turns them into clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps developed to direct a website visitor into the checkout page.
There is a boring way of considering it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and rather than real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients you telephone internet traffic or website traffic. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, many of your visitors doesn’t turn into customers. In a physical store, that is like people walking into your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so they leave the shop without purchasing anything. At a store, you can speak your customers. In a store, you could be a little more remote from your visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to attract your customers’ . The funnel works step-by-step, bring visitors in closer and closer until people end up in a page.
You are right if you think this sounds cool –it has become a massive bargain for advertising. Russell Brunson did become rich by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it too.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to help save time and energyto do exactly what otherwise requires a whole lot of technological competence and/or an array of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
One of the best things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making the user money. They make it put your content up, very simple to make your accounts, and start taking payments. Plus, it is pretty simple to select everything up–it’ll likely take you a few hours to figure out most of what you need, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are very useful here. I like how simple it’s to replicate pages, and the fact I can save templates for use again later. Their page builder is a fairly important attribute, and they’ve pulled it off nicely. It’s an simple to use drag and drop builder As soon as you get accustomed to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is excellent too. All you have to do is replicate a page, make your changes, and choose the numbers of your visitors that you want to view variant A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels handles API integrations well. Email autoresponders and payment chips aren’t too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to manage.
You will also find a WordPress plugin that allows you insert ClickFunnels pages. It saves a lot of time and is a lot less of a hassle compared to working between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active setups.
All in one
Overall, it’s good to get things so centralized: I can build my landing pages, create forms and purchase forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.
All this really does save time and money, resources you would otherwise need to invest on programmers, CSShosting configurations, etc.
You can rest assured that the lower-tiered accounts is a great investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. If you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, the full package may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Add Manager
ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a fantastic job of packing great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably conserves most users a hassle they would have when they attempted to manage funnels another way.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it has quite a few places that require work.
A little drawback is the cost. There are two options, at either $97 a month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not a massive drawback, just another investment in your organization, and like I have mentioned, you get a package for this.
Lackluster Customer Service
Beyond this, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with basic questions, but if you inquire harder things, especially about more advanced features, they will not be quite helpful.
Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Creator
This isn’t an objective criticism of the merchandise but that I take a small issue with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a marketing. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. When you register for the software, you can try to look at the purpose features of the software and incorporate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and made to learn Russell Brunson’s marketing procedures.
This means you’ll end up purchasing online classes, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and most articles is composed of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sport cars. Though these numbers are real, the consumers provide an impression that they are more focused on earning quick cash rather than building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online courses, saturation of coaches and experts, along with other spammy internet marketer stuff.
We all know the founder is a marketing but so much of the item is tied to his own brand and his doctrine. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it seems to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s hard not to get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, especially when some elements of the merchandise (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels however more on the community. As you’ve got the capability to personalize extensively within ClickFunnels, a lot of people use layouts. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y seems. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will return or experience some errors. Though this doesn’t happen frequently, there is little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or driving visitors to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts your pages down for even a few hours, then you may potentially lose a lot of money.
It’s also hard to know if your pages are functioning or not, unless you always check or wait until you hear from angry clients. When I replicate pages using the HTML printing alternative, barring bandwidth, I also deal with a few glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing choices change, etcand it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.
I like consistency in my software, especially if it’s a business solution.
Finally, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with : it’s too simple, and too expensive because of its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches that may be more economical upfront and yield more control over managing certain details. But for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficacy and an simple to use package of resources, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes at $297 per month. For what it is worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try out the support , in order you do not need to commit to an expensive plan right away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Package ).
Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some would say so, and I can see why–particularly in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 a month. But it’s necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly good job. Personally, I consider it a fantastic investment.
The main differences between an entry level consideration and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the main service, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the full list of features.
But, both plans have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split tests, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality which lets you describe a product as a one-time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your customers pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, and custom domain names; priority support and template asks; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Total Suite, do not worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the subsequent section of the ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the differences, StartUp essentially carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation instrument ClickFunnels with two other providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels features. You are able to watch the full official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I believe that they’re strong and you get whatever you want. They are largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are good examples of this and are very important functions, so I’ll be giving them different segments. Clickfunnels Add Manager
A/B split testing is definitely, although a smaller feature a notable one.
If you duplicate a page and also make changes to the copy, the split test essentially enables you to select what percentages of the visitors that you want to view per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It’s very easy to use and a fantastic function.
In addition, I think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and straightforward for different settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them restrictive (a common theme among some criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be simple to use, I thought the fundamental features were pretty great.
There are a number of kinds of available pre-made funnels, oriented into several kinds of companies, and also you can of course build your own funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I have a moment in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. Full Suite is just three products being packaged as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it’s exactly what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complex. The main goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail in addition to email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics comes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to make managing an affiliate program simpler and more efficient.
But are such attributes, or separate products? Actionetics seems somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to sell an iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but maybe I’m just cynical. In any case, it gets Complete Suite a bit confusing and removes the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.
Here is the full list of all StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 visitors
- boundless contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split tests
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order pages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per type
You may view the complete list of features, along with Full Package attributes, here. If you are in a position where you can manage to try Etison for a bit and you absolutely need an efficient, easy method of increasing earnings, I do not think you’d wind up shorted. By that same token, I really don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge benefit that you can not do without themfor most users, just StartUp will offer a thorough enough package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ main attribute, so I wanted to devote exclusive attention. In reality, I think a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high score has to do with it being a really solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely for this landing page builder.
Anyhow, there’s rather an array of templates with great designs, though as you can expect, just the templates made by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are coordinated by funnel type, therefore poking around is not too hard.
You might even save certain templates and make own page templates, and it is pretty easy to see them. It is possible to toggle with settings and open in the editor as you can see.
When you open your pages in the editor, you will essentially be working with a drag and drop builder. It is a bit more complex than some other light page builders, but it’s still user friendly.
The editor utilizes a webpage structure with four main parts: sections, columns, rows, and components. Consider these parts as fitting inside every other (this article includes a helpful diagram). Basically: components, columns, and rows go inside of segments. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns go inside segments, but columns especially go into rows. This way you can have around four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the bits that go inside columns and also make your page interactive to its visitors.
It may sound complex, but it’s rather simple to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box because it is a section, however when I was hovering over an element, it could be orange.
A little criticism I have heard (but do not have ) on the builder is the way grid-like it is–you have to work within these rows and columns. I personally do not think this is a huge problem and the builder provides you enough hands without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
Overall, I enjoy the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of different kinds of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For example, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you’re registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has quite a few partners you may enhance your integrations. Here’s a Complete list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations segment, you can look for these or simply click the search bar, and they will come up. It, just click on the one. Clickfunnels Add Manager
The procedure for managing integrations can also be straightforward, though you might have to look at your third party software’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the procedure straightforward. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than a few features, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have an extremely simple way of incorporating and managing integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get integrated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section different from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also what they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be a lot of store unless you are using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing all these integrations is pretty simple –so long as you are all set up using whatever tool you are trying to incorporate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations run and you don’t need to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ main market is its ease of usage –as their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’tech men! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that allow the less experienced to save time and money. That being the case, assessing ease of usage is pretty important.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you need to still have some expertise.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I’d say that the learning curve would be just a couple hours max. Pick up the books mentioned in the critique of Russell Brunson if you are actually behind.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is unquestionably simpler than creating funnels all on your own. They have a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it appears to me like most questions should be covered, and you could always contact a customer service representative if it comes to it.
All that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang of. The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate into all sections of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations involving email integrations or payment processors will require a little bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it’s things you’ll be able to figure out by Googling about or visiting the docs centre.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it is overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it probably will not be sufficient to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It unites choice and customizability with convenience, and while I’d suggest all prospective users enter with some simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience ) will find the maximum use from it. There are variations in funnel types that appeal to some businesses.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and those offering B2B services will most likely be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does well with those offering more products or ventures that are individual. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those industries: for instance, if you’re a florist, you may come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a good way of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything there would be great support also. The same holds for people selling content such as courses or books.
Obviously, you could always start from a blank funnel, and I do not believe you should decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely on their default funnel types. If you are a smaller company, okay with the price , and you have to make your visitors work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anyone who would like to maintain a better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is a place which is composed of a few nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is still adequate, although just for SaaS companies. Their docs page has a series of classes. Content-wise it isn’t too shabby, although it may be simple. Clickfunnels Add Manager
As the customer assistance, they have a feature within the dashboard after you log in for, but I’m not pleased with it. They’ve generally been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I have had more complex questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing question, they took three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users won’t require that kind of support and to be honest, most SaaS businesses don’t offer that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. Notably, in cases when attributes have not worked if there were site malfunctions or as promised, customer service representatives were allegedly unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, some of his customers were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only articles. He discovered that they were unhelpful and apathetic After he contacted customer support. It illustrates the point, although it might be a scenario that is unlikely.
Overall Support Rating
I would not state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel the team understand that their solutions are not easy to use and/or demand tools fresh to their users, and they have put enough resources in their support to make it adequate. At least questions will be answered, and they are fairly responsive. Most users, myself included, wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has customer support, but it mostly meets a bare minimum which makes it. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
Therefore, what’s the verdict that is overarching? It is fine –4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate competitor in the marketing program area and worth trying out.
Yeah, a few drawbacks are: you might want to look If you need a more hands-on answer to your advertising needs with higher customization skills. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or any glitches in the program. You could be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let other positives such as templates that are good, integrations that are solid, and the brief learning curve.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core goal –to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and attain conversion rates. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be pretty useful for significantly less entrepreneurs. I’m pretty sure that for the huge majority of users, enough option is offered by the page builder. If you are looking to get an sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. In the end, it hasn’t reached its popularity on empty promises, and that’s why I’m giving 4/5 stars to it.
