What’s ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only three years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using otherwise complex marketing technologies, called sales funnels (more on those in a second).

The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other advertising adventures. He played around with email marketing for a while, and began to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets that his lovers rave about and that guide people through his advertising and marketing methodologies. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Clickfunnels Add Domain

ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his staff create funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would normally take months. But they soon realized their creation would be helpful to other people and had good potential as a product.

What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes people who don’t know you and turns them to customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps developed to guide a web site visitor.

There is a method of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you telephone web traffic or website visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors still doesn’t turn . In a physical store, that’s like people walking in to your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so they leave the store without buying anything. In a store, you can talk your clients into purchasing something. In a digital shop, you could be a bit more distant from the visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to appeal to your customers’ through principles of psychology. The funnel functions incremental, bring traffic in closer and closer until people end up in a payment page.

If you feel this sounds cool, you’re right–it has turned into a huge deal for advertising. Russell Brunson did not only get wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it as well.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I’ve got some good information: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to help save you time and energy–to do what otherwise demands a whole lot of technological competence and/or a range of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Cash

One of the best things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making money for your user. They make it put up your content quite easy to produce your accounts, and start taking payments. Additionally, it is pretty simple to select up everything –it’ll likely take you a couple hours to find out most of what you need, maximum.

Drag and Drop Builder

A few features are extremely useful here. I like how easy it’s to duplicate pages, and the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a attribute, and they’ve pulled it off well. It’s an easy to use drag and drop builder As soon as you become used to it.

A/B testing

Constructed in A/B testing is excellent. All you need to do is replicate a page, make your changes, and pick the numbers of your traffic you want to see version A or B.

Great Choice of Integrations

I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations well. Email autoresponders and payment chips aren’t too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are easy to control.

WordPress Plugin

You’ll also find a WordPress plugin that allows you add ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress website. It saves a lot of time and is a lot less of a hassle than working between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a strong 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active setups.

All in one

In general, it’s great to have things so concentrated: I will construct my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.

All this really does save you time and money, resources you would otherwise need to spend on programmers, CSShosting configurations, etc.

Reasonable Worth

You can rest assured that the lower-tiered accounts is a good investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. If you have over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, then the full suite might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Add Domain

ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a great job of packing good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a hassle they would have if they attempted to manage funnels another way.

Cons: Clickfunnels Review

I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s a number of areas that need work.

Overpriced?

A drawback is the cost. There are only two pricing alternatives, at either $97 a month or $297 per month. From the grand scheme of things, this isn’t just another investment in your organization, a huge drawback, and like I have said, you get a package for it.

Lackluster Client Support

Beyond this, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with basic questions, but if you inquire more difficult things, especially about more innovative features, they will not be quite beneficial.

Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Founder

This is not an objective criticism of their product but that I take a slight problem with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it’s hard to escape the hype. They have a fantastic advertising. However, from a user experience perspective, it can get obtrusive. Once you sign up for the applications, you may attempt to look at the purpose features of this software and integrate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s marketing procedures.

This usually means you’ll find yourself purchasing online classes, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and posts consists of people bragging about how much money they created and flashing their sport cars. Though these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they’re more focused on making quick money rather than building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line courses, saturation of coaches and experts, along with other spammy online marketer stuff.

We all know the founder is a marketing magician, but so much of the item is tied into his philosophy and his brand. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it looks to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.

At times it’s hard to not get the feeling that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when some aspects of their merchandise (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more about the community. As you have the capability to personalize extensively within ClickFunnels, many people use similar layouts. Taking into consideration the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks floating around. Diversity is important.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels will return or experience some mistakes. Though this really doesn’t happen frequently, there is little you can do but wait patiently. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or driving traffic to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts your pages down for even a few hours, then you can potentially lose a good deal of cash.

In addition, it is difficult to know if your pages are working or not, if you don’t constantly check or wait until you hear from angry clients. Barring uptime, I deal with some glitches when I clone webpages using the HTML publishing option.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options change, etcand it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.

I enjoy consistency within my applications, particularly if it is a business alternative.

Too Straightforward

Finally, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it’s too simple, and too expensive because of its simplicity. These criticisms have a tendency to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which may be more economical upfront and give more control over managing specific details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an simple to use bundle of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it is worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try out the support , so at least you don’t have to commit to a costly program straight away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).

Nonetheless, a bit hefty huh? Well, some would say so, and that I could see why–especially if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 per month. However, it’s necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a pretty good job. I consider it a good investment.

The main differences between an entry level account along with a premium account are as follows: StartUp gets the principal service, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the full list of features.

But, both programs have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split tests, and some other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite has a complete list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality that lets you characterize a product as a one-time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your clients cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and custom domains; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Total Suite, don’t worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of this ClickFunnels review.

To outline the differences, StartUp essentially conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone instrument ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can watch the full official record .

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

Are ClickFunnels’ attributes complete? I think they’re solid and you get everything you need. They’re largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them separate segments. Clickfunnels Add Domain

A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a feature a notable one.

If you duplicate a webpage and also make changes to the copy, the divide test basically enables you to select what percentages of your traffic that you need to view per page, letting you examine conversion rates very handily. It is simple to use and a function.

In addition, I think ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for different settings, such as your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them restrictive (a common theme among a few criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be easy to work with, I thought the fundamental features were pretty great.

There are a number of types of available pre-made funnels, oriented to different types of companies, and you can obviously build your personal funnel from scratch too.

Actionetics and Backpack

I have a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. Full Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What’s Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it is a little more complex. The chief goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to make managing an affiliate program simpler and more effective.

But are products that are separate, or these attributes? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to sell a iffy email auto-responder for me personally, but perhaps I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Complete Suite a bit perplexing and eliminates the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.

Here’s the Complete list of StartUp attributes
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 visitors
  • unlimited contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split evaluations
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All advanced funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Endless members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Order webpages
  • Upsell webpages
  • Downsale pages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 billing integration per type

You may watch the full list of features, together with Full Package attributes, here. If you’re in a position where you are able to manage to try Etison for a bit and you absolutely need an efficient, easy method of increasing earnings, I do not believe you’d find yourself shorted. By that same token, I really don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a massive benefit that you can not do without themfor most users, just StartUp will provide a thorough enough bundle.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is likely ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wished to devote attention to it. In fact, I think a huge part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high score has to do with it turned into a really solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building applications and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this landing page builder.

Anyway, there’s rather a range of templates with good designs, however as you can expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are coordinated by funnel type, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.

You might also save certain templates and create personal page templates, and it’s pretty easy to see them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings that are fundamental and open in the editor.

Once you start your pages you will essentially be working with a drag and drop builder. It’s a little more complex than some other mild page builders, but it is still easy to use.

The editor uses a page structure with four main parts: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Consider these parts as fitting inside each other (this article has a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and elements go inside of sections. You can have multiple sections per page. Rows and columns move indoors segments, but columns especially enter rows. This way you can have up to four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the bits that make your page interactive to its visitors and go columns.

It might sound complex, but it is pretty easy to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the choice is a mild green box since it’s a part, however if I had been hovering over an element, it would be orange.

You can even edit section, row, column, and so on, via the side bar. Parts of your webpage and all the details can be moved or altered. The template editor allows for lots of customization, but provides control . You can do a variety of things–mobile previews, edit colors, text, settings, and just about anything you expect. If you are handy with code, you can even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I have heard (but do not have personally) about the builder is the way grid-like it is–you need to work within those rows and columns. I personally do not think this is a huge problem and the builder provides you sufficient hands without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
In general, I enjoy the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it functions ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few distinct kinds of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. For instance, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re registered with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few noteworthy partners you may enhance your integrations easily. Here’s a Complete list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations segment, you can search for these or just click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, simply click the one you want and insert it. Clickfunnels Add Domain

The process for handling integrations is also straightforward, though you might have to check your third party software’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll find the procedure straightforward. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some features, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very simple way of adding and handling integrations.

Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section different from integrations. They may be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways will also be the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your clients to pay for your stuff. Your store won’t really be a lot of store unless you’re using a payment gateway.

A listing of the payment gateways you can add:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Handling each of these integrations is fairly easy–so long as you’re all set up with whatever tool you are attempting to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations run and you do not need to fret much about them.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its simplicity of usage –as their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that enable the less experienced to save time and money. That being the case, assessing ease of usage is pretty significant.

Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you should still have some expertise.

Longer answer: For a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For most people, I’d say that the learning curve would be only a few hours max. Pick up the books mentioned earlier in the critique of Russell Brunson if you’re actually behind.

Anyhow, ClickFunnels is unquestionably easier than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it seems to me as if most queries should be covered, and you could always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.

All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The center features of ClickFunnels–that the actual funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or charge processors will require a little bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere near the quantity of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it is stuff you’ll be able to determine by Googling around or visiting the docs centre.

Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it probably won’t be sufficient to hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 at simplicity of use. It combines choice and customizability with ease, and while I would indicate all potential users input with some simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.

Who is ClickFunnels for?

Who really stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience ) will find the maximum use from it. There are variations in funnel types that appeal to some businesses.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and even those that offer B2B services will most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does nicely with people offering more ventures that are individual or creative products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards these businesses: for instance, if you are a gentleman, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything around yourself and your brand, there could be support also. The same goes for individuals selling content such as classes or books.

Of course, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t think you need to decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only in their default funnel types. If you’re a smaller business, alright with the price , and you have to produce your traffic work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your time or money with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to keep a better landing page.

Client Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is adequate, although only barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their docs page has a series of classes, each with their own posts. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it might be easy. Clickfunnels Add Domain

As the customer service, they have a feature within the dashboard after you log in for, but I am not pleased with it. They’ve generally been useful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more complex questions, I’ve found them fairly unhelpful. With one HTML publishing query, they required three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t require that kind of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t provide that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. Notably, in cases when attributes haven’t worked as promised or if there were site malfunctions, customer service representatives were allegedly unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, because of site error, a number of his clients were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. He found they were unhelpful and apathetic After he contacted customer service. It illustrates the point, although it may be a situation.

Total Support Rating

I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I think that the team understand that their services are not simple to use and/or involve tools fresh to their users, and they’ve put enough resources in their support to make it decent. At least fundamental queries will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Maybe most consumers, myself included, wouldn’t state ClickFunnels has exceptional customer support, but it meets a bare minimum that makes it. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

What’s the conclusion that is overarching? It’s good! It’s a legitimate competitor in the advertising software area and worth trying out.

Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: you may want to check, If you need a more answer to your marketing needs with customization abilities. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself and end up dealing with customer service representatives, or any glitches in the program. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone other positives such as integrations that are strong, the brief learning curve, and templates that are superior.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core goal –to make it simpler for you to funnel visitors and attain conversion rates. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be pretty useful for entrepreneurs that are significantly less. I am pretty sure that for the vast majority of users, enough option is offered by the page builder. If you’re looking first and foremost for an sales alternative or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a great tool. On empty promises, it hasn’t attained its popularity In the end, and that I’m giving 4/5 stars to it.
