ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only 3 years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using differently complicated marketing technologies, known as sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous as his invention, and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other marketing adventures. He played with email advertising for some time, and eventually began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets and Secrets, two books that his fans rave that direct and about people through his advertising and marketing methodologies. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website . Clickfunnels Ad
ClickFunnels started out as a way to help Brunson and his team create funnels more quickly for different ventures, as creating funnels would usually take months. But they had great potential as a commodity and soon realized their production would be helpful to others.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes people who do not understand you personally and turns them into customers, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps developed to direct a website visitor into the checkout page.
There is a method of considering it. Step 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients you call internet traffic or website visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors into clients. In a physical store, that is like people walking into your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without buying anything. You can talk your customers. In a store, you may be a bit more remote from your visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your customers’ . The funnel works step-by-step, bring visitors in closer and closer until people wind up in a page.
You are right if you think that sounds cool –it has become a huge bargain for marketing. Russell Brunson did become rich by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it as well.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some great information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to help save you time and energyto do what otherwise requires a lot of competence and/or a range of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
One of the best things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making money. They make it quite easy to make your account, put your content up, and start taking payments. Additionally, it’s rather easy to select up everything –it’ll likely take you a few hours to find out a lot of what you require, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are very useful here. I like how simple it’s to duplicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a feature, and they have pulled it off nicely. It’s an builder As soon as you become accustomed to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is excellent too. All you need to do is duplicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and pick the numbers of the traffic you want to view version A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to manage.
You’ll also find a WordPress plugin that allows you insert ClickFunnels webpages. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active installations.
All in 1
In general, it’s great to get things so concentrated: I can construct my landing pages, create forms and purchase forms, and activate emails all from one platform.
All of this really does save time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to invest on programmers, CSShosting configurations, and so on.
You can rest assured the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp account is really decent. In case you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, then the full package may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Ad
ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packing good tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they would have when they tried to manage funnels another way.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s quite a few places that require work.
A drawback is the cost. There are two alternatives, at either $97 a month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this isn’t just another investment in your organization a drawback, and like I have mentioned, you receive a fantastic package for it.
Lackluster Customer Support
Beyond this, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with basic queries, but if you inquire more difficult things, especially about more advanced features, they will not be quite helpful.
Cult-like user base and applications also reliant on Creator
This is not an objective criticism of the product but I take a slight issue with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype. They have a great marketing for sure. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. Once you register for the software, you can try to examine the purpose features of the software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and made to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.
This usually means you will find yourself purchasing online courses, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over members and posts consists of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they created. Although these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they are more focused on earning quick cash instead of building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, on line courses, saturation of coaches and specialists, along with other spammy online marketer stuff.
Most of us know the founder is a marketing but so much of this product is tied to his brand and his doctrine. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it looks like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
At times it’s difficult not to get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when some aspects of their product (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels however more on the community. While you have the ability to personalize within ClickFunnels, many people use designs. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a large amount of ClickFunnel-y seems. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or encounter some errors. Though this really doesn’t happen frequently, there’s little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or driving traffic to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a few hours, you can potentially lose a lot of money.
It’s also difficult to know if your pages are working or not, unless you constantly wait or wait till you hear from angry clients. Barring bandwidth, I deal with some glitches when I clone pages using the HTML publishing option.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices change, etcand it appears ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.
I like consistency within my applications if it is a business alternative.
Finally, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with : it is too simple, and too pricey because of its simplicity. All these criticisms have a tendency to refer to home improvement approaches that may be cheaper upfront and give more control over handling specific details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an simple to use package of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month and Etison comes at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test the service, in order you do not have to commit to an expensive program straight away. If you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).
Nonetheless, a bit hefty huh? Well, some would say so, and that I can see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which begins at $25 per month. However, it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a pretty great job. Personally, I consider it a good investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account and a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the main company, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the full list of features.
However, both plans have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a full list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality which allows you describe a product as a one-time payment merchandise for your payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domain names; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Total Suite, don’t worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of the ClickFunnels review.
To outline the gaps, StartUp basically carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation instrument ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the full set of ClickFunnels attributes. You are able to watch the complete official list .
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I believe they’re strong and you get whatever you want. They are largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them different sections. Clickfunnels Ad
A/B split testing is a feature, but definitely a one.
If you duplicate a page and make changes to the backup, the divide test essentially enables you to choose what percentages of the visitors that you want to view per page, letting you test conversion rates very handily. It’s quite simple to use and a fantastic function.
I also think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for other settings, like your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them prohibitive (a common theme among a few criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be simple to work with, I believed the basic features were fairly great.
There are a number of types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented into several types of companies, and you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I will just take a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. Full Suite is three products being packaged as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an e-mail or just an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complex. The chief goal of Actionetics is smart analytics that result in smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool designed to create managing an affiliate system easier and more efficient.
However, are such features, or products that are separate? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to market a iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but perhaps I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Complete Suite a little confusing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.
Here is the full list of StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- unlimited contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split tests
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase pages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale pages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 billing integration per form
You can view the complete list of features, along with complete Suite attributes, here. If you are in a situation where you are able to manage to try Etison for a little and you also absolutely need an efficient, simple method of increasing sales, I do not believe you’d find yourself shorted. By that exact same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge advantage that you can not do without themfor most users, just StartUp will offer a thorough adequate bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is probably ClickFunnels’ main attribute, so I wanted to devote attention. In fact, I feel a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top score has to do with it being a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction applications and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it largely with this particular landing page builder.
Anyway, there’s rather an array of templates with great layouts, though as you may expect, just the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are coordinated by funnel type, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.
You can even save certain templates and make personal page templates, and it’s pretty simple to find them. You can toggle with fundamental settings and open in the editor as you can see.
When your pages start in the editor, you will basically be working with a drag and drop builder. It’s a bit more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it’s still easy to use.
The editor uses a webpage structure with four chief parts: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Think of these components as fitting within each other (this article has a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and components go inside of sections. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns move inside segments, but columns especially enter rows. This way you can have around four, or a row with one column. Elements are the dynamic bits that go within columns and also make your page interactive.
It may sound complicated, but it is pretty simple to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the choice is a mild green box because it is a section, however when I was hovering over an element, it could be orange.
A small criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have personally) on the builder is how grid-like it’s –you need to work within those columns and rows. I personally don’t think this is a huge issue and the builder gives you enough hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
I like the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional advertising and marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different types of integrations you are able to enhance your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. For instance, you may add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few partners you may enhance your integrations easily. Here’s a full list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations segment, you can look for these or just click the search bar, and they will come up. It, just click the one you desire and insert it. Clickfunnels Ad
The procedure for managing integrations is also straightforward, though you may need to check your third party program’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the process straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than a few features, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very straightforward method of incorporating and managing integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part separate from integrations. They may be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways will also be the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store won’t really be a lot of store unless you are using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing each of these integrations is fairly easy–so long as you are all set up with whatever tool you are attempting to integrate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations operate and you do not need to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ most important sell is its ease of usage –as their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology men! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that allow the less experienced save money and time. That being the case, evaluating ease of use is really important.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you should still have some expertise.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For most people, I’d say that the learning curve could be only a couple hours max. Pick up the books mentioned in the critique of Russell Brunson, if you behind.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it appears to me like most questions must be covered, and you could always contact a customer service representative if it comes to it.
All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The core features of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate into all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations involving email integrations or payment processors will want a little bit of comprehension, but it is nowhere near the amount of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it is things you can figure out by Googling about or visiting the docs center.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it probably will not be enough to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It unites alternative and customizability with convenience, and while I’d indicate all potential users input with a few basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience here) will find the maximum use out of it. There are naturally variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a businesses.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or community advertising, and those offering B2B services will most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does ventures that are independent or products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those industries: for example, if you’re a gentleman, you might come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything around yourself and your brand, there would be support also. The same holds for individuals selling content such as courses or publications.
Obviously, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I do not believe you should decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely in their default funnel kinds. If you are a smaller company, alright with the price , and you have to make your visitors work for you , I doubt you would be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to maintain a better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is adequate, although barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their docs page includes a collection of categories, each with their own posts. It might be simple, however it isn’t too shabby. Clickfunnels Ad
As after you log into for the direct customer service, they have a feature inside the dashboard, but I am not delighted by it. They’ve generally been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more advanced questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing query, they took to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t need that sort of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t offer that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Furthermore, I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. In cases when features have not worked if there were site malfunctions or as promised, client support representatives were supposedly unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, some of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. When he contacted customer service, he discovered they were apathetic and unhelpful. It illustrates the point, although it might be a scenario.
Overall Support Rating
I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think the team understand that their solutions are not easy to use and/or involve tools fresh to their users, and they’ve put resources into their support to make it adequate. At least fundamental questions will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Perhaps most users wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has customer support, but it largely meets a minimum that makes it. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the overarching verdict? It is good–4 out of 5 stars! It is a legitimate competitor in the advertising software area and worth trying out.
Yeah, a few drawbacks are: Should you want a more hands-on solution to your marketing needs with customization skills that are greater, you may want to check. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or some glitches in the program. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of these outweigh the good landing page builder, let additional positives like templates, integrations that are strong, and the short learning curve.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center objective–to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and reach conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be helpful for entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed that are less. I am pretty certain that for the majority of prospective users, the page builder offers enough option. If you are looking first and foremost to get an easy but solid sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. It has not reached its popularity on empty promises, and that I’m giving it 4/5 celebrities.
