If you are in touch with the world of electronic advertising, you have probably heard of ClickFunnels. During this ClickFunnels Reviewwe go deep into the good and poor to determine if ClickFunnels is a legitimate business advertising software worth attempting, or simply overhyped. Clickfunnels Actionetics
ClickFunnels has made a fairly big name for itself because it began, getting one of the largest marketing SaaS (Software as a Service) companies around. I suppose it’s no surprise–ClickFunnels is about making its users money. It’s about giving software that helps their site visitors turn into clients to companies. It’s no wonder ClickFunnels has grown so much in a brief time period.
There is no denying it is popular, but does this mean it’s well worth it? How much can we trust the crowd on this one? During this ClickFunnels review, I will go through the gist of ClickFunnels–exactly what it is, the positives and the negatives, the characteristics, customer assistance, and so forth. I’m basing this review on my own experience with ClickFunnels’ StartUp plan, which includes the ClickFunnels attributes and tons of other whistles and bells. As not every user and I will agree on the verdict, I give a nod towards other reviews I have noticed.
Irrespective of whether you decide to use it or not, it’s an important player anyone in e-commerce and internet advertising should be acquainted with. What’s our evaluation, before you leap in? I will put it. With some drawbacks, it is definitely great. Continue reading to learn why!

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just three years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using otherwise complicated marketing technologies, called sales funnels (more about those in a second).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but marketing adventures. He played with email advertising for some time, and eventually started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets, two books his lovers rave about and that direct people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Clickfunnels Actionetics
ClickFunnels started out as a way to help Brunson and his staff produce funnels more rapidly for different ventures, as developing funnels would usually take months. They soon realized their creation would be useful to others and had good potential as a commodity.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a process that takes people who do not know you personally and turns them into customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of measures designed to guide a web site visitor.
There is a way of thinking about it. Step 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients you call internet traffic or site visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn many of your visitors into clients. In a brick and mortar shop, that’s like people walking in to your store but not knowing where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without purchasing anything. You can talk your clients into buying something. In a store, you could be a bit more remote from your visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to attract your clients’ . The funnel works step-by-step, bring traffic in closer and closer until visitors end up in a payment page.
You are right, if you think that sounds cool –it has become a massive deal for advertising. Russell Brunson did not only become rich by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it too.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some great information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to help save time and energyto do what demands a lot of competence and/or an array of third party applications. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
One of the best things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making the user money. They make it simple to produce your accounts, put your content up, and start taking payments. Additionally, it’s pretty easy to select everything up–it’ll likely take you a couple hours to find out most of what you need, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I like how simple it is to duplicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their page builder is a feature that is pretty important, and they have pulled it. Once you get accustomed to it, it’s an builder.
Built in A/B testing is great. All you have to do is replicate a page, make your changes, and pick the amounts of the traffic you wish to see version A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations well. Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to control.
You’ll also find a WordPress plugin that lets you insert ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress website. It saves a lot of time and is a lot less of a hassle than working between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active installations.
All in one
In general, it is good to have things so concentrated: I can construct my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.
All this really does save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise have to invest on developers, CSShosting configurations, etc.
You may rest assured that the lower-tiered accounts is a great investment–what you are permitted for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. In case you have over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, then the full package may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Actionetics
ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a great job of packing great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably conserves most users a hassle they’d have if they attempted to manage funnels another way.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it has a number of places that require work.
A little drawback is the cost. There are only two pricing alternatives, at either $97 per month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not another investment in your organization, a massive drawback, and like I have said, you receive a good package for this.
Lackluster Client Support
Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been fine with fundamental queries, but if you ask them harder things, especially about more innovative features, they will not be very beneficial.
Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Creator
This isn’t an objective criticism of the merchandise but that I take a slight problem with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They’ve a fantastic advertising for sure. However, from a user experience perspective, it can get obtrusive. When you sign up for the applications, you may attempt to examine the purpose features of this software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’re going to be lost and made to find out Russell Brunson’s marketing methods.
This means you’ll end up purchasing online courses, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over members and most articles is composed of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they created. Although these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they’re more concentrated on making quick cash rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, on line courses, saturation of trainers and experts, along with other spammy online marketer stuff.
So much of the product is tied to his philosophy and his own brand, although we all know the creator is a marketing magician. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it looks to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s hard not to get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, particularly when a few elements of their product (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more about the neighborhood. As you have the capability to personalize broadly within ClickFunnels, many people use designs. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great amount of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or encounter some mistakes. Though this doesn’t happen often, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or forcing visitors to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts your pages down for even a couple of hours, then you can potentially lose a lot of money.
In addition, it is hard to know when your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t constantly check or wait until you hear from angry clients. Barring bandwidth, I deal with some glitches when I replicate pages using the HTML publishing option.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices change, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels is still figuring out things.
I like consistency in my software if it’s a business alternative.
At length, a criticism I’ve heard but do not quite agree with : it is too simple, and too expensive for its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches that can be cheaper upfront and give more control over handling certain details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use package of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and Full Suite–as well as StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test the support , in order you don’t need to commit to an expensive program right away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).
Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some might say , and that I can see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that starts at $25 per month. But it’s necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to make funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly great job. I personally consider it a fantastic investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account along with a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the main service, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the full list of features.
But, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality that lets you describe a product as a one-time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your clients cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, and custom domain names; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Suite, don’t worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the subsequent section of this ClickFunnels review.
To outline the differences, StartUp essentially carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation instrument ClickFunnels with two other providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can watch the full official list .
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I believe that they’re strong and you get whatever you need. They are largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I’ll be giving them separate sections. Clickfunnels Actionetics
A/B split testing is definitely, although a more compact feature a one.
If you duplicate a webpage and make changes to the backup, the divide test essentially lets you choose what percentages of the visitors that you want to see per page, letting you examine conversion rates very handily. It is simple to use and a fantastic function.
I also believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for other settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them prohibitive (a common theme among some criticisms), but while the support is supposed to be simple to work with, I thought the fundamental features were fairly great.
There are quite a few kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to several kinds of companies, and you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I take a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Total Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it is a little more complex. The main goal of Actionetics is smart analytics which lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to create managing an affiliate program simpler and more efficient.
However, are separate products, or these features? Actionetics seems a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to sell a iffy email auto-responder to me, but perhaps I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Complete Suite a bit perplexing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.
Here is the Complete list of StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 visitors
- unlimited contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split tests
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order pages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale pages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 billing integration per type
You may view the complete list of features, together with Full Suite attributes, here. If you’re in a position where you are able to manage to try Etison for a little and you absolutely require an efficient, easy method of increasing sales, I don’t think you would wind up shorted. By that exact same token, I don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge benefit that you can’t do without them: for many users, just StartUp will offer a thorough enough package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ main attribute, so I wished to devote attention. In fact, I feel a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high score has to do with it being a really solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it mostly for this particular landing page builder.
Anyhow, there’s quite an array of templates with good layouts, however as you can expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel kind, so poking around isn’t too hard.
You can also save certain templates and also make own page templates, and it’s pretty simple to see them. As you can see, you open in the editor and can toggle with settings.
Once you start your pages in the editor, you will basically be working using a drag and drop builder. It is a little more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it’s still user friendly.
The editor uses a webpage structure with four chief parts: sections, columns, rows, and components. Think of these components as fitting inside each other (this informative article includes a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: components, columns, and rows go inside of sections. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns move indoors sections, but columns especially go into rows. This way you can have a row with one column, or around four. Elements are the bits that also make your page interactive and go inside columns.
It may sound complex, but it’s rather easy to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded–for example, from the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box since it’s a part, however if I had been hovering over an element, it could be orange.
A little criticism I’ve heard (but do not have personally) on the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you have to work within these columns and rows. I personally do not think this is a massive problem and the builder provides you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of use, but it may be worth a mention.
I like the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct types of integrations you are able to enhance your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. By way of instance, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few notable partners you can enhance your integrations. Here’s a Complete list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations section, you can search for these or simply click on the search bar, and they will come up. It is pretty self-explanatory, just click the one. Clickfunnels Actionetics
The procedure for managing integrations is also simple, though you might have to check your third party software’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the process pretty straightforward. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some attributes, like the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely simple way of incorporating and handling integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a part different from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be much of a shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing all these integrations is fairly simple –so long as you’re all set up with whatever tool you are trying to incorporate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations usually run smoothly and you don’t have to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important sell is its simplicity of use–because their advertisement says,”Don’t waste any more time with’tech men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that allow the less experienced save money and time. That being the case, assessing ease of use is really significant.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you need to still have some experience.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I’d say the learning curve would be only a few hours max. If you behind, pick up the books mentioned in the critique of Russell Brunson.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is unquestionably easier than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it seems to me as if most queries should be covered, and you could always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.
All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly simple to control. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or charge processors will want a little bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere near the amount of knowledge you would have to actually code the funnels–it’s things you’ll be able to determine by Googling about or visiting the docs center.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it likely will not be enough to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It unites choice and customizability with convenience, and while I would suggest all prospective users input with some simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (speaking from experience ) will get the maximum use out of it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a businesses.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and those offering B2B services would probably be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does nicely with those offering more creative products or individual ventures. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards these businesses: for instance, if you are a florist, you may come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a good way of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything on your own and your brand, there could be support also. The same goes for individuals selling content like books or classes.
Obviously, you could always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t think you should decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based purely in their default funnel types. If you are a smaller business, okay with the price tag, and you have to make your traffic work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to keep a much better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is sufficient, although just barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their docs page has a series of categories, each with their own posts. It might be simple, but it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Actionetics
As after you log in for the customer assistance, they have a chat feature within the dashboard, but I’m not delighted by it. They’ve generally been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more advanced questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one HTML publishing query, they required three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users won’t require that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS companies don’t provide that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. In instances when features have not worked when there were weird site malfunctions or as promised, customer support reps were either unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, some of his customers were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. He discovered they were unhelpful and apathetic After he contacted customer service. It illustrates the point, although it might be a improbable scenario.
Total Support Rating
I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in client support–I feel the team mostly understand that their services are not easy to use and/or involve tools new for their customers, and they have put resources into their support to make it decent. At least queries will be answered, and they are fairly responsive. Perhaps users, myself included, wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has customer support, but it largely meets a minimum that makes it at least good. Within this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
Therefore, what’s the conclusion? It is good! It’s a legitimate competitor in the marketing program space and worth trying out.
Yeah, a few drawbacks are: you may want to look into third party choices you can tie If you need a more answer to your marketing needs with customization abilities. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with customer service agents, or any glitches in the software. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of these outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone other positives such as integrations that are solid, the brief learning curve, and templates that are superior.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core goal –to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and reach conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be quite useful for internet-exposed entrepreneurs that are less. I am pretty certain that for the majority of users, the page builder offers choice. If you are looking first and foremost for an easy but powerful sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a great tool. On promises, it hasn’t attained its popularity after all, and that I am giving it 4/5 celebrities.
