What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just three years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to market things online using differently complex advertising technologies, known as sales funnels (more about those in a second).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He has made a fortune, not just from ClickFunnels, but other advertising experiences. He played around with email marketing for a while, and eventually began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets and Secrets that his lovers rave about and that direct people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Clickfunnels Account Settings
ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his staff create funnels more quickly for different ventures, as creating funnels would usually take weeks. But they soon realized their creation would be useful to others and had great potential as a product.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes people who do not know you personally and turns them into customers, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps developed to direct a website visitor.
There’s a way of thinking about it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients you call web traffic or website traffic. Your website visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your website is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors doesn’t turn . In a physical shop, that is like people walking in to your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without buying anything. You can speak your customers into purchasing something. In a shop, you could be a bit more remote from the customers. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your customers’ . The funnel functions step-by-step, bring traffic in closer and closer until visitors end up in a page.
You’re correct if you think that sounds cool –it has become a massive deal for marketing. Russell Brunson did get wealthy by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it too.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to help save you time and energyto do exactly what demands a whole lot of proficiency and/or an array of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making money for the user. They make it put your content up very easy to make your account, and start taking payments. Plus, it is rather easy to select up everything –it will probably take you a couple hours to find out a lot of what you need, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are extremely useful here. I like how simple it’s to duplicate pages, and also the fact I can save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a feature, and they have pulled it. It’s an builder once you become used to it.
Built in A/B testing is excellent too. All you have to do is replicate a page, make your changes, and pick the numbers of the traffic you wish to view variant A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations pretty nicely. Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to manage.
You’ll also find a WordPress plugin that lets you add ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress site. It saves a good deal of time and is much less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active installations.
All in one
In general, it’s good to have things so centralized: I will build my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from one platform.
All this really will save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to spend on developers, CSShosting configurations, and so on.
You may rest assured that the lower-tiered accounts is a great investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp accounts is really decent. In case you have more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, the full package might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Account Settings
ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a great job of packaging great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they’d have if they attempted to handle funnels another way.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has a number of places that require work.
A drawback is the price. There are just two pricing alternatives, at either $97 per month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not just another investment in your organization a massive drawback, and like I have mentioned, you receive a package for it.
Lackluster Customer Support
Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with fundamental questions, but if you ask them harder things, especially about more innovative features, they will not be quite beneficial.
Cult-like user base and software too reliant on Founder
This isn’t an objective criticism of the merchandise but that I take a slight problem with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype. They’ve a fantastic advertising. But from a user experience perspective, it can acquire obtrusive. When you sign up for the software, you may attempt to examine the purpose features of the software and integrate it into your own workflow, or you’re going to be lost and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.
This means you’ll find yourself buying online courses, publications, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and many posts consists of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they created. Although these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they’re more concentrated on earning quick cash instead of building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online classes, saturation of coaches and specialists, and other spammy internet marketer stuff.
We all know the founder is a marketing wizard, but so much of this product is tied into his doctrine and his own brand. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it seems to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.
At times it’s difficult not to get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when a few elements of the merchandise (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more on the community. While you have the ability to personalize within ClickFunnels, a lot of men and women use designs. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a large amount of ClickFunnel-y looks floating about. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or encounter some mistakes. Though this really doesn’t occur often, there is little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a lot in advertising or forcing visitors to your own funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a couple of hours, you may potentially lose a lot of money.
In addition, it is difficult to know when your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t constantly check or wait till you hear from angry clients. Barring bandwidth, I also deal with a few glitches when I replicate pages using the HTML printing alternative.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options change, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.
I enjoy consistency within my applications if it’s a business solution.
Finally, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with : it is too easy, and too pricey for its simplicity. These criticisms have a tendency to refer to home improvement approaches that may be more economical upfront and give more control over managing certain details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use package of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try the support , in order you do not have to commit to a costly plan straight away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).
Nonetheless, a bit hefty huh? Well, some might say so, and that I can see why–especially if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 a month. However, it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a pretty great job. Personally, I consider it a good investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account along with a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the main service, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the amount of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the full list of features.
However, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split evaluations, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature which allows you describe a product as a one-time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your customers cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, and custom domains; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Suite, do not worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the subsequent section of this ClickFunnels review.
To outline the differences, StartUp basically conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone instrument ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You can watch the complete official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I think that they’re solid and you get everything you want. They are largely intuitive and supply you with a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all great examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them separate segments. Clickfunnels Account Settings
A/B split testing is a feature, but definitely a noteworthy one.
If you replicate a page and make changes to the copy, the divide test basically lets you choose what percentages of the traffic you need to view per page, letting you examine conversion rates very handily. It is simple to use and a fantastic function.
I also think ClickFunnels is complete flexible and straightforward for other settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a common theme among a few criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be simple to work with, I thought the fundamental features were pretty great.
There are quite a few kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented into several types of businesses, and you can obviously build your personal funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I take a minute within this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. Full Suite is three products being packaged together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it’s exactly what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it is a little more complex. The main goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that result in clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail in addition to email, and a few other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to create managing an affiliate system easier and more efficient.
But are these features, or products? Actionetics seems somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to sell an iffy email auto-responder for me, but maybe I am just cynical. In any case, it gets Complete Suite a little confusing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.
Here is the full list of StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 visitors
- unlimited contacts
- 3 habit domains

You can watch the full list of features, along with Full Package attributes, here. If you are in a situation where you are able to manage to try out Etison for a little and you also absolutely require an efficient, simple way of increasing sales, I do not think you would find yourself shorted. By that exact same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack offer such a massive advantage that you can not do without themfor most users, simply StartUp will offer a comprehensive adequate bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ most important attribute, so I wanted to devote attention. In reality, I feel a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it being a really solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building applications and advertises its own funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this particular landing page builder.
Anyhow, there’s quite a range of templates with good designs, however as you may expect, just the templates created by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel type, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.
You can also save certain templates and create personal page templates, and it is pretty simple to see them. You can toggle with basic settings and open in the editor as you can see.
Once your pages open in the editor, you’ll basically be working using a drag and drop builder. It is a little more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it is still easy to use.
The editor uses a page structure with four chief parts: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Think of these components as fitting inside each other (this informative article has a helpful diagram). Basically: rows, columns, and elements go inside of sections. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns move inside sections, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you can have a row with one column, or up to four. Elements are the lively bits that make your page interactive to its visitors and go within columns.
It may sound complex, but it’s rather easy to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for example, in the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box because it is a section, but when I had been hovering over a component, it would be orange.
A small criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have ) about the builder is how grid-like it is–you have to work within these columns and rows. Personally, I do not believe this is a huge issue and the builder gives you enough control without sacrificing ease of use, but it may be worth a mention.
In general, I like the webpage builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other advertising and marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct kinds of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For instance, you may add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has quite a few noteworthy partners you can add to your integrations. Here’s a Complete list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations segment, you can look for these or just click on the search bar, and they will come up. It, simply click on the one. Clickfunnels Account Settings
The procedure for handling integrations can also be simple, though you might need to look at your third party program’s documentation to discover precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the procedure simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than a few attributes, such as the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have an extremely simple way of adding and managing integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other applications platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a part separate from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways will also be the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store won’t really be much of a shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing all these integrations is pretty simple –so long as you’re all set up with whatever tool you are attempting to integrate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations run and you don’t need to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its simplicity of use–as their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels offers is providing tools which allow the less experienced save time and money. That being the situation, evaluating ease of use is really significant.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you should still have some expertise.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it may be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I’d say the learning curve could be only a couple hours max. If you behind, pick up Russell Brunson’s books mentioned earlier in the critique.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is unquestionably simpler than creating funnels all on your own. They have a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it appears to me as if most queries must be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it comes to it.
All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The core features of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate into all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or charge processors will want a little bit of comprehension, but it is nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it is stuff you can determine by Googling about or visiting the docs center.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it is overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters frequently, but it likely won’t be sufficient to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It unites choice and customizability with convenience, and while I would suggest all potential users input with a few basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (talking from experience ) will find the maximum use out of it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some companies over others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network marketing, and even those offering B2B services will probably be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does ventures that are individual or products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards these businesses: for instance, if you’re a florist, you might come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you are trying to center everything there would be support too. The same goes for individuals selling content such as courses or publications.
Obviously, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not believe you should determine if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only in their default funnel kinds. If you’re a smaller company, okay with the price tag, and you need to make your traffic work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your time or money with ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anybody who would like to maintain a much better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is just for SaaS companies, but still sufficient. Their docs page has a collection of classes, each with their own posts. Content-wise it isn’t too shabby, although it may be simple. Clickfunnels Account Settings
As after you log in for the customer assistance that is immediate, they’ve a feature within the dashboard, but I am not overly pleased by it. They have generally been useful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more advanced questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they took to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users will not need that sort of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t provide that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Furthermore, I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. In cases when features have not worked when there were weird site malfunctions or as promised, client service representatives were supposedly unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, a number of his clients were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. When he contacted customer service, he found that they were apathetic and unhelpful. It illustrates the point, although it might be a scenario.
Overall Support Rating
I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think that the team largely understand that their services are not simple to use and/or demand tools new to their customers, and they have put resources into their support to make it adequate. At least basic questions will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Perhaps most users would not state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it largely meets a minimum that makes it at least great enough. Within this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
Therefore, what’s the conclusion that is overarching? It is good–4 out of 5 stars! It is a legitimate competitor in the marketing software area and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a few drawbacks: If you need a more solution to your advertising needs with greater customization skills, you might want to check into third party choices you’ll be able to connect together. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or any glitches in the software. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone advantages like templates, integrations that are solid, and the learning curve.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center goal –to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and reach conversion rates. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be pretty helpful for less entrepreneurs. I’m pretty sure that for the majority of prospective users, the webpage builder offers option. If you’re looking first and foremost for an sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. On empty promises, it hasn’t attained its popularity after all, and that’s why I’m giving it 4/5 celebrities.
