What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just three years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to market things online using otherwise complicated advertising technologies, known as sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, not just from ClickFunnels, but advertising adventures. He played around with email advertising for some time, and eventually started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets, two novels and the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets that his lovers rave that direct and about people through his marketing methodologies. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Clickfunnels Account
ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his team create funnels more rapidly for different ventures, as developing funnels would usually take months. They soon realized their production would be helpful to others and had good potential as a commodity.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a process that takes individuals who do not know you and turns them into clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of steps designed to guide a web site visitor.
There is a way of considering it. Step 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you call internet traffic or website visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors . In a brick and mortar store, that is like people walking in to your shop but not knowing where the cash register is, so they leave the store without buying anything. At a store, you can speak your customers into buying something. In a digital shop, you could be a little more remote from your visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to appeal to your clients’ . The funnel works incremental, draw traffic in closer and closer until people end up at a payment page.
You’re right, if you feel that sounds cool –it’s become a huge deal for advertising. Russell Brunson did not only get wealthy by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to help save you time and energyto do what otherwise demands a lot of proficiency and/or a range of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
One of the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making money for your user. They make it easy to produce your accounts, put your content up, and begin taking payments. Additionally, it’s pretty easy to select everything up–it’ll likely take you a few hours to find out most of what you require, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I enjoy how simple it’s to duplicate pages, and also the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a attribute that is pretty important, and they have pulled it. It’s an easy to use drag and drop builder once you get accustomed to it.
Built in A/B testing is great too. All you have to do is replicate a page, make your adjustments, and choose the amounts of your traffic that you wish to see version A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels handles API integrations nicely. Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to manage.
You’ll also find a WordPress plugin which lets you add ClickFunnels webpages. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active installations.
All in 1
In general, it is good to have things so concentrated: I will build my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.
All this really will save time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to spend on programmers, CSShosting configurations, etc.
You may be sure the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you’re allowed for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. In case you have over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the complete package may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels Account
ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a great job of packaging good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they’d have when they attempted to handle funnels another way.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s quite a few areas that need work.
A drawback is the price. There are only two alternatives, at either $97 per month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not a drawback, just another investment in your business, and like I’ve mentioned, you receive a fantastic package for it.
Lackluster Customer Service
Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been fine with fundamental queries, but if you ask them more difficult things, particularly about more advanced features, they will not be quite helpful.
Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Founder
This isn’t an objective criticism of their merchandise but that I take a slight issue with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a great marketing for sure. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. Once you sign up for the applications, you may attempt to look at the purpose features of the software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and made to learn Russell Brunson’s marketing procedures.
This means you’ll end up buying online courses, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and posts consists of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they created. Though these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they are more focused on making quick money rather than building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line classes, saturation of coaches and experts, and other spammy online marketer stuff.
So much of the item is tied to his philosophy and his own brand, although we all know the founder is a marketing magician. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it seems like an extension of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s hard to not get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when a few elements of their product (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels however more about the neighborhood. As you’ve got the capability to customize within ClickFunnels, many men and women use designs. Taking into consideration the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some errors or will go down. Though this really doesn’t happen frequently, there is little you can do but wait. If you are investing a lot in advertising or forcing visitors to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a few hours, then you may potentially lose a lot of cash.
In addition, it is difficult to know when your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t always wait or wait till you hear from angry customers. When I replicate pages using the HTML publishing alternative, barring bandwidth, I deal with some glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices alter, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring out things.
I like consistency within my applications if it’s a business alternative.
Finally, a criticism I’ve heard but do not quite agree with : it is too simple, and too pricey because of its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that can be more economical upfront and give more control over handling certain details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use bundle of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month and Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it’s worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to test out the support , in order you don’t need to commit to an expensive program right away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).
Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some would say , and I could see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 per month. However, it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a pretty good job. I personally consider it a fantastic investment.
The principal differences between an entry level consideration along with a premium account are as follows: StartUp gets the principal service, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the full list of features.
However, both plans have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a full list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality that lets you characterize a product as a one-time payment merchandise for your payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, along with custom domains; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Suite, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the subsequent section of the ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the differences, StartUp basically conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation instrument ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You are able to view the complete official record .
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ attributes complete? I think that they’re strong and you get whatever you need. They’re largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are good examples of this and are very important functions, so I’ll be giving them separate segments. Clickfunnels Account
A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a feature a noteworthy one.
If you replicate a page and make changes to the copy, the divide test essentially lets you select what percentages of your visitors that you need to view per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very handily. It is very easy to use and a function.
I also believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for different settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but while the support is supposed to be easy to work with, I believed the basic features were fairly great.
There are a number of types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented into different kinds of businesses, and also you can of course build your own funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I’ll just have a moment in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. Full Suite is just three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it is exactly what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complex. The main goal of Actionetics is smart analytics which result in smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to make managing an affiliate system simpler and more effective.
However, are such features, or products? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to market a iffy email auto-responder for me personally, but maybe I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Full Suite a little confusing and removes the coherency you get with the original ClickFunnels.
Here’s the Complete list of StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- unlimited contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels

- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels

- Purchase webpages
- Upsell pages

You can view the full list of features, along with complete Package features, here. If you are in a position where you can manage to try out Etison for a bit and you absolutely need an efficient, easy way of increasing earnings, I do not believe you would find yourself shorted. By that same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge benefit that you can’t do without them: for most users, simply StartUp will provide a thorough enough package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wished to devote attention to it. In fact, I feel a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high score has to do with it turned into a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its own funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly for this landing page builder.
Anyway, there is rather an array of templates with good layouts, though as you can expect, just the templates created by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel kind, therefore poking around is not too hard.
You might also save certain templates and also create own page templates, and it’s pretty easy to find them. As you can see, you open in the editor and can toggle with settings.
When your pages start from the editor, you’ll basically be working using a drag and drop builder. It is a bit more complex than some other light page builders, but it’s still user friendly.
The editor uses a page structure with four chief parts: sections, columns, rows, and components. Think of these components as fitting within every other (this article has a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and components go inside of segments. You can have multiple sections per page. Rows and columns move indoors segments, but columns specifically enter rows. This way you can have around four, or a row with one column. Elements are the dynamic bits that go columns and make your page interactive.
It might sound complicated, but it’s rather easy to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box because it’s a part, but when I had been hovering over a component, it would be orange.
A small criticism I’ve heard (but do not have personally) on the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you need to work within these rows and columns. Personally, I do not believe this is a massive issue and the builder provides you sufficient hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
I like the webpage builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you incorporate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of different kinds of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. By way of instance, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few partners you may add to your integrations. Here’s a Complete list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations section, you can search for these or just click the search bar, and they will come up. It, simply click on the one you desire and insert it. Clickfunnels Account
The procedure for handling integrations can also be straightforward, though you might have to check your third party program’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. Overall, you’ll find the process simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than a few attributes, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely simple way of adding and handling integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other applications platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part separate from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be the things they sound like: they are the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be a lot of shop unless you are using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing each of these integrations is pretty simple –as long as you’re all set up using whatever tool you are trying to integrate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations usually operate and you don’t have to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its simplicity of use–because their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’tech men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools which allow the less experienced to save money and time. That being the situation, assessing ease of use is really important.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you need to still have some experience.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I would say that the learning curve could be only a couple hours maximum. Pick up the books mentioned previously in the critique of Russell Brunson if you’re actually behind.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a reasonable amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it seems to me as if most queries should be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.
All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The core features of ClickFunnels–the actual funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate into all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings regarding email integrations or charge processors will want a bit of understanding, but it is nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would have to actually code the funnels–it is things you can figure out by Googling about or seeing the docs center.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it likely won’t be sufficient to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at simplicity of use. It unites choice and customizability with convenience, and while I’d suggest all potential users enter with a few basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (speaking from experience here) will get the maximum use out of it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to some companies over others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and even those that offer B2B services would most likely be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does well with people offering more creative products or independent ventures. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those businesses: for instance, if you are a florist, you might come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you are trying to center everything there would be support also. The same holds for individuals selling content such as courses or publications.
Of course, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not think you need to decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only in their default funnel kinds. If you’re a smaller company, alright with the price tag, and you need to make your traffic work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anyone who would like to maintain a better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area that is composed of a few nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is just barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but nevertheless adequate. Their docs page includes a series of classes. It may be simple, however it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnels Account
As the customer service, they’ve a feature inside the dashboard after you log in for, but I am not overly delighted by it. They’ve been useful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more advanced questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing query, they took to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not require that kind of support and to be honest, most SaaS businesses don’t provide that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. Notably, in instances when features haven’t worked if there were weird site malfunctions or as promised, client support reps were supposedly unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, some of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. When he contacted customer service, he discovered that they were apathetic and unhelpful. It might be a unlikely situation, but it illustrates the point.
Overall Support Rating
I would not state ClickFunnels fails in client support–I feel that the team understand that their solutions are not simple to use and/or demand tools new to their customers, and they’ve put resources into their support to make it adequate. At least queries will be answered, and they are fairly responsive. Perhaps consumers would not state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets. In this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
So, what’s the overarching conclusion? It is fine! It’s a legitimate contender in the marketing software area and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: Should you want a more solution to your advertising needs with customization abilities, you may want to look. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with customer service representatives, or any glitches in the software. You could be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering everything, I do not think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone other positives like the learning curveintegrations, and superior templates.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core goal –to make it simpler for you to funnel visitors and reach higher conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be useful for significantly less entrepreneurs. I’m pretty sure that for the majority of potential users, option is offered by the webpage builder. If you’re looking for an sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. On empty promises, it has not reached its popularity after all, and that I’m giving it 4/5 stars.
