ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just 3 years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using differently complicated advertising technology, called sales funnels (more about those in a second).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other advertising adventures. He played with email advertising for some time, and eventually began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets two novels, and Secrets his fans rave that direct and about people through his marketing methodologies. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Clickfunnels 60 Day Trial
ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his staff produce funnels more quickly for different ventures, as creating funnels would normally take months. They had good potential as a commodity and soon realized their production would be useful to others.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes people who don’t understand you personally and turns them to clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of measures developed to direct a web site visitor.
There’s a method of considering it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients you telephone internet traffic or website visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your website is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors still doesn’t turn into customers. In a brick and mortar shop, that’s like people walking in to your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without purchasing anything. You can talk your customers into purchasing something. In a digital shop, you could be a little more distant from the visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your clients’ through principles of psychology. The funnel functions incremental, draw visitors in closer and closer till visitors end up in a page.
You are right if you think this sounds cool –it has become a massive bargain for advertising. Russell Brunson didn’t just become wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it as well.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some good information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to save you time and energy–to do what otherwise demands a lot of proficiency and/or an array of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making money. They make it easy to produce your account, put your content up, and begin taking payments. Additionally, it is rather easy to pick everything up–it will probably take you a couple hours to figure out most of what you require, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I like how simple it’s to duplicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a attribute, and they have pulled it. It’s an easy to use drag and drop builder, As soon as you become used to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is great. All you need to do is replicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and pick the numbers of your traffic that you wish to see version A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels handles API integrations pretty well. Email autoresponders and payment chips are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to manage.
You’ll also find a WordPress plugin which lets you add ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress website. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active installations.
All in one
Overall, it’s good to get things so concentrated: I can construct my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from one platform.
All of this really does save time and money, resources you would otherwise need to invest on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.
You can be sure that the lower-tiered accounts is a good investment–what you’re allowed for a StartUp accounts is really decent. If you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the full suite might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels 60 Day Trial
ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a fantastic job of packing great tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they’d have when they attempted to handle funnels another manner.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it has quite a few areas that require work.
A drawback is the price. There are just two pricing alternatives, at either $97 per month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t another investment in your organization, a drawback, and like I have said, you get a fantastic package for this.
Lackluster Client Service
Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with basic questions, but if you inquire more difficult things, especially about more advanced features, they won’t be quite beneficial.
Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Creator
This is not an objective criticism of their product but I take a small problem with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a marketing for certain. But from a user experience perspective, it can acquire obtrusive. When you sign up for the applications, you can try to look at the purpose features of this software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and made to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.
This means you’ll find yourself purchasing online classes, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and posts consists of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they created. Although these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they are more concentrated on earning quick cash instead of building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do good things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online classes, saturation of coaches and experts, along with other spammy online entrepreneurs stuff.
Much of this item is tied to his brand and his philosophy, although we all know the creator is a marketing magician. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it looks like an extension of Brunson’s platform.
At times it’s hard not to get the sensation which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when a few aspects of their merchandise (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more on the neighborhood. As you have the ability to customize extensively within ClickFunnels, a lot of men and women use similar layouts. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels encounter some errors or will return. Though this doesn’t occur often, there is little you can do but wait. If you are investing a lot in advertising or forcing visitors to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts your pages down for even a couple of hours, then you can potentially lose a good deal of cash.
It’s also hard to know when your pages are working or not, unless you constantly wait or wait till you hear from angry customers. When I replicate webpages using the HTML publishing option, barring uptime, I deal with a few glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing choices alter, etcand it seems ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.
I like consistency within my applications, especially if it’s a business solution.
At length, a criticism I’ve heard but do not quite agree with personally: it is too simple, and too pricey because of its simplicity. All these criticisms have a tendency to refer to home improvement approaches that can be cheaper upfront and give more control over handling certain details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an simple to use package of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test out the service, in order you don’t need to commit to an expensive program right away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).
Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some would say so, and I could see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 a month. However, it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to make funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly great job. I personally consider it a fantastic investment.
The principal differences between an entry level consideration and a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the main service, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the complete list of features.
But, both programs have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split evaluations, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature that allows you describe a product as a one time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your customers cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with custom domains; priority support and template asks; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Suite, don’t worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of the ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the differences, StartUp essentially carries the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two other services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You can view the complete official list here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I believe they’re strong and you get everything you want. They are largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are all good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I’ll be giving them separate sections. Clickfunnels 60 Day Trial
A/B split testing is a smaller feature, but definitely a notable one.
If you replicate a webpage and make changes to the backup, the split test essentially lets you select what percentages of the visitors you need to see per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very handily. It is a function and very easy to use.
I also believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for different settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a common theme among some criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be simple to work with, I believed the basic features were pretty good.
There are quite a few kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented into different kinds of companies, and you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I’ll just have a moment in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my opinion, Total Suite is three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it’s exactly what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complicated. The main objective of Actionetics is smart analytics that lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail in addition to email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool supposed to make managing an affiliate system easier and more effective.
However, are products, or these attributes? Actionetics seems a bit like ClickFunnels trying to sell an iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but maybe I am just cynical. In any case, it gets Full Suite a little perplexing and removes the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.
Here is the Complete list of all StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- unlimited contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split tests
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels

- Purchase webpages
- Upsell webpages

You may watch the complete list of features, along with complete Suite attributes, here. If you are in a position where you can afford to try out Etison for a little and you absolutely require an efficient, simple way of increasing earnings, I don’t think you would wind up shorted. By that same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack offer such a massive advantage that you can not do without themfor most users, just StartUp will provide a comprehensive adequate package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is likely ClickFunnels’ main attribute, so I wanted to devote exclusive attention. In fact, I think a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a high score has to do with it being a really solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this particular landing page builder.
Anyhow, there’s quite an array of templates with good designs, however as you may expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel kind, so poking around is not too hard.
You can also save certain templates and also make own page templates, and it’s rather easy to see them. As you can see, you open in the editor and can toggle with settings.
When your pages open in the editor, you’ll basically be working using a drop and drag builder. It is a bit more complicated than some other light page builders, but it’s still user friendly.
The editor utilizes a webpage structure with four chief parts: sections, rows, columns, and components. Think of these components as fitting inside every other (this article has a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and components go inside of segments. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns go indoors sections, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you can have around four, or a row with one column. Elements are the bits that make your page interactive to its visitors and go columns.
It may sound complicated, but it’s rather simple to get the hang . Everything is color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the selection is a light green box since it is a part, however if I was hovering over an element, it could be orange.
A small criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have ) about the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you need to work within those columns and rows. Personally, I don’t believe this is a massive problem and the builder provides you enough hands without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
I enjoy the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct types of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. By way of example, you may add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you like MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has quite a few noteworthy partners you can enhance your integrations readily. Here’s a full list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations section, you can search for these or just click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It is pretty self-explanatory, just click on the one. Clickfunnels 60 Day Trial
The procedure for managing integrations is also simple, though you might have to look at your third party program’s documentation to discover precisely what ClickFunnels needs. Overall, you’ll discover the process simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some features, like the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely simple method of incorporating and handling integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section separate from integrations. They may be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store won’t really be much of a shop unless you are using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling all of these integrations is fairly simple –as long as you’re all set up using whatever tool you’re attempting to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations run smoothly and you do not need to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important sell is its simplicity of use–as their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’tech guys! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that enable the less experienced to save time and money. That being the situation, evaluating ease of usage is pretty significant.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you should still have some expertise.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I’d say the learning curve could be only a few hours max. If you’re really behind, pick up the books mentioned in the review of Russell Brunson.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than creating funnels on your own. They have a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it appears to me as if most questions should be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.
All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang of. The core features of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate into all parts of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or payment processors will require a bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere near the quantity of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it’s things you’ll be able to figure out by Googling around or seeing the docs centre.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it likely won’t be enough to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at simplicity of use. It combines choice and customizability with ease, and while I would indicate all prospective users enter with some simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (speaking from experience here) will get the most use out of it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to some businesses.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and even those offering B2B services will probably be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does well with people offering more products or ventures that are independent. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those businesses: for example, if you’re a florist, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you are trying to center everything there would be good support too. The same holds for individuals selling content such as courses or books.
Of course, you could always start from a blank funnel, and I do not think you need to determine if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only in their default funnel types. If you are a smaller business, alright with the price tag, and you need to produce your visitors work for you , I doubt you would be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anyone who wants to keep a much better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is a place that consists of some nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is still adequate, although just barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their docs page has a collection of classes. Content-wise it isn’t too shabby, although it might be easy. Clickfunnels 60 Day Trial
As for the direct customer service, they have a feature inside the dashboard after you log into, but I am not delighted by it. They have generally been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more complex questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they took to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not require that sort of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t provide that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. In cases when features have not worked if there were weird site malfunctions or as promised, client support representatives were supposedly either unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, a number of his clients were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only articles. He found they were unhelpful and apathetic when he contacted customer support. It illustrates the point, although it might be a scenario that is improbable.
Total Support Rating
I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel that the team mostly understand that their services are not simple to use and/or involve tools new to their users, and they’ve put resources in their support to make it adequate. At least questions will be answered, and they are pretty responsive. Perhaps consumers wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it largely meets a bare minimum which makes it at least great. Within this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the verdict that is overarching? It’s fine –4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate contender in the marketing software area and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a few drawbacks: If you need a more hands-on solution to your marketing needs with customization skills, you may want to look into third party options you can tie together. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service agents, or some glitches in the program. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering everything, I don’t think any of these outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone advantages like solid integrations, the brief learning curve, and templates.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and attain conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be helpful for entrepreneurs that are significantly less. I’m pretty sure that for the vast majority of potential users, enough option is offered by the page builder. If you’re looking first and foremost for an sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. On promises, it hasn’t attained its popularity In the end, and that is why I’m giving it 4/5 stars.
