What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only 3 years it has been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using otherwise complicated advertising technology, known as sales funnels (more about those in a second).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, but not only from ClickFunnels, but other advertising adventures. He played around with email advertising for a while, and eventually started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets two novels, and Expert Secrets his lovers rave that guide and about people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website . Clickfunnels 404 Error
ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his team produce funnels more quickly for different ventures, as creating funnels would normally take months. They had great potential as a commodity and soon realized their creation would be useful to other people.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes people who don’t know you personally and turns them into customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of measures developed to direct a web site visitor into the checkout page.
There is a less dull way of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you telephone web traffic or website visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn many of your visitors . In a brick and mortar store, that is like people walking into your shop but not knowing where the cash register is, so they leave the store without buying anything. In a store, you can talk your customers. In a store, you could be a bit more distant from the customers. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your customers’ . The funnel works incremental, draw visitors in closer and closer till visitors wind up in a payment page.
You’re correct if you think that sounds cool –it’s turned into a huge deal for marketing. Russell Brunson did get wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it as well.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to save time and energyto do exactly what requires a lot of technological competence and/or a range of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is its focus on earning money. They make it quite easy to make your account, put up your content, and begin taking payments. Plus, it is pretty simple to select up everything –it’ll likely take you a couple hours to find out most of what you need, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are extremely useful here. I enjoy how simple it’s to duplicate pages, and the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their webpage builder is a attribute, and they have pulled it off nicely. Once you become used to it, it’s an easy to use drag and drop builder.
Built in A/B testing is excellent. All you need to do is replicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and pick the numbers of your traffic you wish to view version A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations nicely. Email autoresponders and payment chips are not too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to manage.
You will also find a useful WordPress plugin that lets you add ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress site. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle compared to working between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active installations.
All in one
In general, it’s good to have things so concentrated: I will construct my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.
All this really will save time and money, resources you would otherwise have to invest on developers, CSShosting configurations, etc.
You may be sure the lower-tiered accounts is a good investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp accounts is really decent. If you have over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, the full package may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnels 404 Error
ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a great job of packing great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably conserves most users a hassle they’d have if they attempted to handle funnels another manner.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has quite a few places that require work.
A drawback is the price. There are two pricing alternatives, at either $97 per month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not a massive drawback, just another investment in your business, and like I’ve said, you get a good package for it.
Lackluster Customer Service
Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with fundamental questions, but if you ask them harder things, especially about more innovative features, they will not be very beneficial.
Cult-like user base and applications also reliant on Founder
This is not an objective criticism of their merchandise but I take a small issue with their advertising that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype. They’ve a marketing. But from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. Once you sign up for the software, you may attempt to look at the purpose features of the software and incorporate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and made to learn Russell Brunson’s marketing methods.
This usually means you’ll find yourself buying online classes, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and articles consists of people bragging about how much money they created and flashing their sports cars. Although these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they are more focused on making quick cash rather than building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do good things, but it has also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online classes, saturation of trainers and experts, along with other spammy online marketer stuff.
A lot of this product is tied to his doctrine and his own brand, although we know the founder is a marketing wizard. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it seems like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
At times it’s difficult not to get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when some elements of their product (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels however more on the neighborhood. While you’ve got the capability to customize within ClickFunnels, many people use similar designs. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great amount of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will return or encounter some mistakes. Though this doesn’t happen often, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or forcing traffic to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a few hours, then you can potentially lose a lot of money.
In addition, it is hard to know when your pages are functioning or not, unless you constantly wait or wait till you hear from angry clients. When I replicate pages using the HTML printing alternative barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices alter, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.
I enjoy consistency in my software, especially if it is a business alternative.
At length, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with personally: it is too simple, and too expensive because of its simplicity. All these criticisms have a tendency to refer to home improvement approaches that may be more economical upfront and yield more control over managing certain details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use package of resources, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes at $297 per month. For what it’s worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try the support , so at least you don’t have to commit to a costly plan straight away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).
Nonetheless, a bit hefty huh? Well, some would say so, and I could see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that starts at $25 per month. However, it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a pretty good job. I consider it a good investment.
The main differences between an entry level account and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the main service, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the complete list of features.
But, both plans have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split evaluations, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature that allows you describe a product as a one time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your customers pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with custom domains; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Total Package, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of this ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the gaps, StartUp essentially conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the full set of ClickFunnels attributes. You are able to view the full official record .
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I think that they’re strong and you get whatever you need. They’re largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are great examples of this and are very important functions, so I’ll be giving them separate sections. Clickfunnels 404 Error
A/B split testing is a smaller feature, but definitely a noteworthy one.
If you duplicate a page and make changes to the copy, the divide test essentially lets you choose what percentages of the traffic you want to view per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very handily. It’s simple to use and a fantastic function.
I also believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and straightforward for different settings, like your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a frequent theme among a few criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be simple to use, I thought the fundamental features were fairly great.
There are quite a few kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to different kinds of companies, and also you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I will only have a minute within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Total Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it’s a bit more complex. The main goal of Actionetics is smart analytics which lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to make managing an affiliate program simpler and more efficient.
However, are these attributes, or products that are separate? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to market a iffy email auto-responder for me, but maybe I am just cynical. In any case, it gets Full Suite a bit confusing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.
Here is the Complete list of StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- unlimited contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split tests
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order pages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per type
You may view the full list of features, along with complete Suite features, here. If you’re in a position where you are able to manage to try Etison for a little and you also absolutely require an efficient, easy method of increasing sales, I do not believe you would find yourself shorted. By that same token, I really don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge advantage that you can not do without themfor many users, just StartUp will provide a thorough adequate bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is likely ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wanted to devote attention. In fact, I think a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it turned into a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its own funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely with this landing page builder.
Anyway, there is quite an array of templates with great layouts, though as you may expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel kind, therefore poking around is not too hard.
You can even save certain templates and make personal page templates, and it is pretty simple to find them. As you can see, you can toggle with basic settings and open in the editor.
Once your pages start from the editor, you’ll basically be working using a drop and drag builder. It is a bit more complicated than some other light page builders, but it is still easy to use.
The editor utilizes a webpage structure with four chief components: sections, rows, columns, and components. Think of these parts as fitting within each other (this informative article includes a very helpful diagram). Basically: rows, columns, and elements go inside of sections. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns move indoors sections, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you can have a row with one column, or around four. Elements are the bits that also make your page interactive to its customers and go columns.
It may sound complex, but it is rather easy to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for example, from the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box since it’s a section, however when I was hovering over an element, it would be orange.
A little criticism I have heard (but don’t have ) on the builder is how grid-like it’s –you need to work within these columns and rows. Personally, I do not think this is a massive problem and the builder provides you sufficient hands without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
In general, I enjoy the webpage builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of different kinds of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For example, you may add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few notable partners you may add to your integrations. Here’s a full list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations segment, you can look for these or just click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click on the one you want and insert it. Clickfunnels 404 Error
The process for handling integrations is also simple, though you might need to look at your third party software’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the procedure pretty simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than a few features, like the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely simple way of adding and handling integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other applications platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section separate from integrations. They may be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store won’t really be a lot of shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing all these integrations is fairly easy–so long as you are all set up using whatever tool you are trying to integrate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations operate smoothly and you don’t have to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its simplicity of use–as their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which enable the less experienced save money and time. That being the situation, assessing ease of usage is pretty significant.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you need to still have some experience.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I would say the learning curve could be just a couple hours maximum. If you behind, pick up the books mentioned previously in the critique of Russell Brunson.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is unquestionably easier than creating funnels on your own. They have a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it seems to me as if most queries must be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.
All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or charge processors will require a bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere near the quantity of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it is stuff you can figure out by Googling about or visiting the docs center.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it probably won’t be enough to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It unites choice and customizability with ease, and while I would suggest all prospective users enter with some simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (talking from experience here) will get the most use from it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some companies.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network marketing, and even those that offer B2B services would most likely be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does products or ventures. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those businesses: for instance, if you’re a florist, you might come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic method of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything there would be support also. The same holds for individuals selling content such as publications or courses.
Obviously, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I don’t believe you need to determine if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only in their default funnel kinds. If you are a smaller company, okay with the price tag, and you need to make your visitors work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anyone who wants to maintain a better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area that is composed of some nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is nevertheless sufficient, although only for SaaS companies. Their page has a collection of classes. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it might be easy. Clickfunnels 404 Error
As after you log in for the customer assistance that is immediate, they’ve a chat feature inside the dashboard, but I am not overly delighted by it. They have generally been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I have had more advanced questions, I’ve found them fairly unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing question, they took to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users will not require that sort of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t provide that level of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. In instances when features have not worked as promised or if there were bizarre site malfunctions, customer support representatives were supposedly either unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, a number of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. When he contacted customer service, he found they were apathetic and unhelpful. It illustrates the point, although it might be a weird, unlikely situation.
Total Support Rating
I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I feel that the team understand that their solutions are not easy to use and/or involve tools fresh to their customers, and they have put resources into their support to make it decent. At least fundamental questions will be answered, and they are pretty responsive. Maybe consumers, myself included, would not state ClickFunnels has exceptional customer support, but it mostly meets a bare minimum which makes it. In this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
Therefore, what’s the conclusion? It’s fine –4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate competitor in the advertising program area and worth trying out.
Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: Should you want a more hands-on answer to your marketing needs with customization abilities that are higher, you may want to look into third party options you can tie together. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or any glitches in the software. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of these outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone additional advantages such as templates that are superior, integrations that are solid, and the learning curve.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and attain higher conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be useful for less entrepreneurs. I am pretty sure that for the majority of potential users, choice is offered by the webpage builder. If you’re looking for a simple but powerful sales alternative or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. After all, it hasn’t attained its popularity on promises, and that I am giving it 4/5 stars.
