What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only three years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to sell things online using differently complicated marketing technology, known as sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).

The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He has made a fortune, but not only from ClickFunnels, but other marketing adventures. He played around with email marketing for a while, and eventually started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets and the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets his fans rave that direct and about people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website Clickfunnel Website

ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his team produce funnels more quickly for different ventures, as creating funnels would normally take weeks. They soon realized their production would be useful to other people and had good potential as a commodity.

What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes people who do not understand you personally and turns them to clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of steps developed to direct a website visitor.

There’s a dull method of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients you telephone internet traffic or site traffic. Your website visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors . In a brick and mortar store, that is like people walking into your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without purchasing anything. You can talk your customers into purchasing something. In a digital store, you may be a bit more distant from the customers. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your clients’ through principles of psychology. The funnel works incremental, draw traffic in closer and closer until people end up in a payment page.

If you feel this sounds cool, you’re right–it’s turned into a massive bargain for online marketing. Russell Brunson did become rich by selling ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I have got some good information: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to help save time and energyto do exactly what otherwise requires a lot of proficiency and/or an array of third party applications. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Cash

Among the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on earning money for the user. They make it very simple to make your accounts, put up your content, and begin taking payments. Additionally, it is pretty easy to select everything up–it will probably take you a couple hours to figure out a lot of what you need, maximum.

Drag and Drop Builder

Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I enjoy how easy it’s to replicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a pretty important feature, and they have pulled it off nicely. As soon as you become accustomed to it, it’s an easy to use drag and drop builder.

A/B analyzing

Constructed in A/B testing is great. All you need to do is duplicate a webpage, make your changes, and pick the numbers of the traffic that you wish to view variant A or B.

Great Choice of Integrations

I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to manage.

WordPress Plugin

You will also find a handy WordPress plugin which allows you insert ClickFunnels webpages. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active setups.

All in one

Overall, it’s good to have things so centralized: I can build my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and activate emails all from one platform.

All of this really will save time and money, resources you would otherwise have to invest on developers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.

Reasonable Value

You may be sure that the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp account is really decent. In case you have more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, the full suite might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnel Website

ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a fantastic job of packing good tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably conserves most users a hassle they’d have when they tried to manage funnels another manner.

Cons: Clickfunnels Review

I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has quite a few places that require work.

A drawback is the cost. There are two pricing alternatives, at $97 per month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not another investment in your organization, a drawback, and like I’ve said, you receive a package for it.

Lackluster Customer Service

Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been fine with basic questions, but if you inquire harder things, especially about more advanced features, they will not be quite beneficial.

Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Founder

This is not an objective criticism of their product but I take a small issue with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a fantastic marketing for sure. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you sign up for the applications, you can try to examine the purpose features of the software and integrate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and made to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising methods.

This means you will end up buying online courses, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and many posts consists of people bragging about how much money they created and flashing their sport cars. Although these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they are more concentrated on earning quick cash instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online courses, saturation of trainers and specialists, and other spammy online entrepreneurs stuff.

Much of the product is tied into his doctrine and his brand, although we all know the founder is a marketing wizard. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it looks to be an expansion of Brunson’s platform.

At times it’s hard to not get the sensation which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, especially when a few elements of their product (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one is not on ClickFunnels however more about the community. As you’ve got the ability to customize broadly within ClickFunnels, many people use similar layouts. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great amount of ClickFunnel-y seems floating around. Diversity is important.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels will return or encounter some mistakes. Though this doesn’t occur often, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a great deal in advertising or driving visitors to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts your pages down for even a couple of hours, you can potentially lose a good deal of money.

It’s also hard to know if your pages are working or not, if you don’t always check or wait until you hear from angry clients. When I clone webpages using the HTML printing option, barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing choices change, etcand it appears ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.

I enjoy consistency in my applications, especially if it’s a business alternative.

Too Straightforward

Finally, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with : it is too easy, and too expensive for its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which can be cheaper upfront and yield more control over handling specific details. But for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an simple to use bundle of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels includes two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to test the service, so at least you don’t need to commit to a costly program right away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).

Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some might say , and that I can see why–especially in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which begins at $25 a month. But it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to make funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly good job. I personally consider it a fantastic investment.

The principal differences between an entry level account along with a premium account are as follows: StartUp gets the principal company, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the full list of features.

But, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split evaluations, and a few other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite has a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality that allows you describe a product as a one time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your clients cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, and custom domain names; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.

If you are confused with Etison/ Total Suite, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the section of the ClickFunnels review.

To summarize the differences, StartUp essentially carries the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two other providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels features. You are able to watch the full official list here.

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I think that they’re strong and you get whatever you want. They’re largely intuitive and supply you with a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all great examples of this and are very important functions, so I’ll be giving them separate segments. Clickfunnel Website

A/B split testing is a feature, but unquestionably a noteworthy one.

If you duplicate a webpage and make changes to the backup, the split test basically enables you to choose what percentages of your visitors that you want to see per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It is very simple to use and a great function.

In addition, I think ClickFunnels is complete flexible and straightforward for other settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them prohibitive (a common theme among some criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be easy to work with, I thought the basic features were pretty good.

There are quite a few types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented into different types of businesses, and also you can of course build your own funnel from scratch also.

Actionetics and Backpack

I will just have a moment in this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. In my view, Total Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What is Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an email auto-responder or only an auto-responder, but it is a little more complex. The main goal of Actionetics is smart analytics that result in smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool designed to make managing an affiliate system simpler and more effective.

But are these features, or separate products? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to market a iffy email auto-responder to me, but maybe I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Full Suite a little confusing and removes the coherency you get with the original ClickFunnels.

Here is the full list of StartUp features
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • unlimited contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split tests
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All advanced funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Unlimited members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Purchase pages
  • Upsell webpages
  • Downsale pages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per form

You can view the complete list of features, along with Full Suite attributes, here. If you’re in a situation where you can afford to try out Etison for a bit and you also absolutely need an efficient, simple way of increasing earnings, I do not believe you would find yourself shorted. By that same token, I don’t think Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge advantage that you can’t do without themfor many users, simply StartUp will provide a thorough adequate bundle.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is probably ClickFunnels’ most important attribute, so I wanted to devote attention. In fact, I think a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top score has to do with it turned into a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction applications and advertises its own funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it mostly for this landing page builder.

Anyhow, there is rather a range of templates with good designs, however as you can expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel kind, so poking around isn’t too hard.

You might also save certain templates and create own page templates, and it is pretty simple to see them. As you can see, it is possible to toggle with settings that are basic and open in the editor.

Once your pages open from the editor, you’ll basically be working with a drag and drop builder. It’s a bit more complex than some other light page builders, but it’s still user friendly.

The editor uses a webpage structure with four chief components: sections, rows, columns, and components. Think of these parts as fitting inside every other (this informative article includes a helpful diagram). Basically: columns, rows, and elements go inside of segments. You can have multiple sections per page. Rows and columns move indoors segments, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you may have a row with a single column, or up to four. Elements are the lively bits that go inside columns and make your page interactive to its customers.

It may sound complex, but it’s pretty easy to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box since it is a section, but when I was hovering over a component, it could be orange.

You could even edit by section, row, column, and so on, through the side bar. Parts of your page and all the details can be moved or altered. The editor allows for lots of customization, but offers control also. You can do all sorts of things–cellular previews, edit colors, text, configurations, and nearly anything you expect. If you’re handy with code, you can even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I’ve heard (but do not have ) about the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you need to work within those columns and rows. Personally, I don’t think this is a massive problem and the builder gives you sufficient hands without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
Overall, I like the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page quite simple, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money online.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you incorporate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different types of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of example, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are enrolled with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has quite a few partners you may add to your integrations easily. Here’s a full list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Continuous Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations section, you can search for these or just click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click on the one. Clickfunnel Website

The procedure for managing integrations is also simple, though you may have to look at your third party program’s documentation to discover exactly what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the process pretty simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than a few attributes, like the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very straightforward way of adding and managing integrations.

Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section separate from integrations. They may be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they are the integrations that allow your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop will not really be much of a shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.

A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Managing each of these integrations is pretty simple –as long as you’re all set up with whatever tool you are attempting to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations run smoothly and you don’t have to fret much about them.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

If you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its simplicity of usage –because their advertisement says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the most important service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which enable the less experienced to save money and time. That being the situation, assessing ease of use is pretty important.

Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you need to still have some experience.

Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I’d say the learning curve could be just a couple hours max. Pick up the books mentioned earlier in the review of Russell Brunson, if you are actually behind.

Anyhow, ClickFunnels is unquestionably simpler than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it seems to me as if most queries must be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.

All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang . The center characteristics of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or charge processors will require a little bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would have to actually code the funnels–it’s stuff you can figure out by Googling about or visiting the docs centre.

Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it is overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it likely will not be sufficient to hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It combines alternative and customizability with ease, and while I’d indicate all prospective users input with a few basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.

Who is ClickFunnels for?

Who really stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience ) will find the most use from it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some companies over others.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and those that offer B2B services will most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does nicely with people offering more creative products or ventures that are individual. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those businesses: for example, if you’re a gentleman, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you are trying to center everything around yourself and your brand, there would be good support also. The same goes for individuals selling content like courses or publications.

Obviously, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I don’t believe you need to decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only on their default funnel types. If you’re a smaller business, okay with the price , and you have to make your traffic work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anyone who would like to keep a better landing page.

Customer Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but nevertheless adequate. Their page has a collection of categories, each with their own posts. It might be simple, however content-wise it’s not too shabby. Clickfunnel Website

As for the customer service that is direct, they’ve a feature within the dashboard after you log in, but I am not pleased by it. They’ve generally been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more complex questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one HTML publishing query, they took to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not need that sort of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t provide that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. In cases when attributes have not worked when there were site malfunctions or as promised, customer service representatives were allegedly unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, because of site error, some of his customers were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. He found that they were unhelpful and apathetic, when he contacted customer service. It may be a situation that is improbable, however it illustrates the point.

Total Support Rating

I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel that the team understand that their services are not easy to use and/or demand tools new to their customers, and they’ve put resources into their support to make it decent. At least queries will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Maybe users, myself included, would not say ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets a bare minimum that makes it. In this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

What’s the overarching verdict? It is good–4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate contender in the advertising program area and worth trying out.

Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: Should you need a more solution to your marketing needs with customization abilities, you may want to look. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or any glitches in the program. You could be annoyed by their self-promotion.

But you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone positives such as the short learning curveintegrations, and good templates.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core goal –to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and attain higher conversion rates. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be useful for entrepreneurs that are significantly less. I’m pretty sure that for the vast majority of users, the page builder offers choice. If you’re looking first and foremost for an sales alternative or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. On promises, it has not reached its popularity after all, and that’s why I am giving it 4/5 celebrities.
