What’s ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just 3 years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell things online using otherwise complex advertising technology, known as sales funnels (more on those in a second).

The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other advertising adventures. He played around with email advertising for some time, and started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets two novels, and Expert Secrets his fans rave that direct and about people through his marketing methodologies. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website Clickfunnel Smtp Sendgrid

ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his staff produce funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would normally take weeks. They had great potential as a commodity and soon realized their creation would be helpful to others.

Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes individuals who don’t understand you personally and turns them to customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of steps designed to guide a web site visitor into the checkout page.

There is a method of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you telephone web traffic or site visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors still doesn’t turn . In a brick and mortar shop, that is like people walking into your store but not knowing where the cash register is, so they leave the shop without buying anything. At a physical store, you can talk your customers. In a store, you may be a little more remote from the visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to attract your clients’ . The funnel functions incremental, draw visitors in closer and closer until people end up at a payment page.

You’re correct if you think that sounds cool –it has turned into a massive deal for online advertising. Russell Brunson did get wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I’ve got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to save time and energyto do exactly what demands a lot of technological proficiency and/or a range of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is its focus on earning the consumer money. They make it put your content up simple to make your account, and start taking payments. Plus, it is pretty easy to select everything up–it will likely take you a few hours to figure out a lot of what you require, maximum.

Drag and Drop Builder

Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I like how easy it is to replicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a fairly important feature, and they’ve pulled it. It is an simple to use drag and drop builder As soon as you become used to it.

A/B testing

Built in A/B testing is great too. All you need to do is duplicate a page, make your adjustments, and pick the numbers of the visitors you want to see variant A or B.

Great Choice of Integrations

I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment chips are not too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to manage.

WordPress Plugin

You will also find a WordPress plugin which lets you add ClickFunnels pages. It saves a lot of time and is a lot less of a hassle than working between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active setups.

All in 1

In general, it is great to get things so centralized: I can build my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.

All this really will save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise have to spend on developers, CSShosting configurations, etc.

Reasonable Value

You can rest assured that the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp accounts is really decent. In case you’ve got more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, the complete suite may not be too much to ask. Clickfunnel Smtp Sendgrid

ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packaging great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a hassle they would have if they attempted to handle funnels another manner.

Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review

I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it’s quite a few places that need work.

Overpriced?

A drawback is the cost. There are two pricing alternatives, at either $97 per month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t a drawback, another investment in your business, and like I have said, you receive a package for this.

Lackluster Client Support

Beyond this, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with basic queries, but if you ask them harder things, especially about more advanced features, they won’t be very helpful.

Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Creator

This isn’t an objective criticism of the merchandise but that I take a small issue with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a great advertising. However, from a user experience perspective, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you sign up for the applications, you may attempt to examine the purpose features of this software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be lost and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.

This usually means you’ll find yourself purchasing online courses, publications, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and most articles consists of people bragging about how much money they created and flashing their sport cars. Although these numbers are real, the consumers provide an impression that they’re more concentrated on earning quick money rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do good things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online courses, saturation of coaches and experts, along with other spammy online marketer stuff.

We know the creator is a marketing wizard, but much of the item is tied into his doctrine and his brand. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it looks like an extension of Brunson’s platform.

At times it’s hard to not get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, particularly when a few elements of the product (i.e., client service) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more about the community. As you’ve got the capability to customize within ClickFunnels, a lot of men and women use similar designs. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is vital.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels will return or encounter some mistakes. Though this really doesn’t happen often, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a lot in advertising or forcing visitors to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a few hours, you can potentially lose a good deal of money.

In addition, it is hard to know if your pages are working or not, if you don’t constantly wait or wait till you hear from angry clients. When I clone pages using the HTML printing alternative, barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices change, etcand it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.

I like consistency in my applications if it is a business alternative.

Too Simple

At length, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it is too easy, and too expensive for its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which may be more economical upfront and yield more control over handling specific details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use package of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month and Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try out the support , in order you don’t need to commit to a costly program straight away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).

Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some would say so, and I could see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that starts at $25 a month. But it’s necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly good job. I personally consider it a good investment.

The principal differences between an entry level account along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the main company, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just some of the complete list of features.

But, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide tests, and some other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite has a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack feature which lets you describe a product as a one time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, and custom domains; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Package, do not worry, it is confusing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the following section of this ClickFunnels review.

To summarize the differences, StartUp basically conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two other services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You can view the complete official record .

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ attributes overall? I believe that they’re solid and you get whatever you need. They’re largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I’ll be giving them separate sections. Clickfunnel Smtp Sendgrid

A/B split testing is definitely, although a more compact feature a notable one.

If you replicate a webpage and also make changes to the backup, the split test essentially lets you select what percentages of the traffic that you want to view per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very handily. It’s a function and quite easy to use.

I also believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and straightforward for other settings, like your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them prohibitive (a common theme among some criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be simple to use, I thought the basic features were fairly good.

There are quite a few kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to different kinds of businesses, and also you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch also.

Actionetics and Backpack

I’ll just take a moment in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my opinion, Total Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What is Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complicated. The main goal of Actionetics is smart analytics that lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail in addition to email, and some other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool designed to make managing an affiliate program simpler and more efficient.

But are separate products, or such features? Actionetics seems a bit like ClickFunnels trying to sell an iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but perhaps I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Full Suite a little perplexing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.

Here’s the full list of all StartUp features
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • boundless contacts
  • 3 habit domains
  • A/B split tests
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All innovative funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Endless members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Order webpages
  • Upsell webpages
  • Downsale webpages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 billing integration per form

You may watch the complete list of features, together with complete Package features, here. If you’re in a situation where you can manage to try out Etison for a little and you absolutely need an efficient, simple method of increasing earnings, I don’t believe you would wind up shorted. By that same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge benefit that you can’t do without them: for most users, simply StartUp will offer a thorough enough package.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is likely ClickFunnels’ main feature, so I wanted to devote special attention. In reality, I think a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top score has to do with it turned into a really solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building applications and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly for this landing page builder.

Anyway, there is quite a range of templates with great designs, however as you may expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel kind, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.

You can even save certain templates and also create personal page templates, and it is rather easy to find them. As you can see, you open in the editor and can toggle with settings.

Once your pages start from the editor, you be working with a drop and drag builder. It’s a little more complex than some other mild page builders, but it is still easy to use.

The editor uses a webpage structure with four main parts: sections, rows, columns, and components. Think of these components as fitting within every other (this informative article has a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and elements go inside of segments. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns move indoors sections, but columns especially go into rows. This way you can have a row with one column, or up to four. Elements are the bits that also make your page interactive and go columns.

It may sound complex, but it is pretty simple to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded–for example, from the above screenshot, the choice is a mild green box since it’s a part, but if I had been hovering over an element, it would be orange.

You could also edit by section, row, column, etc, via the side bar. All of the little details and parts of your page can be moved or altered. The template editor allows for plenty of customization, but offers control too. You can do all sorts of things–mobile previews, edit colors, text, settings, and nearly anything you anticipate. If you’re handy with code, you may even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A small criticism I have heard (but don’t have personally) about the builder is how grid-like it’s –you have to work within these columns and rows. I personally don’t believe this is a huge problem and the builder provides you enough hands without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
Overall, I like the webpage builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it functions ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different kinds of integrations you are able to enhance your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. By way of instance, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are enrolled with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has quite a few notable partners you can enhance your integrations. Here’s a full list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations segment, you can look for these or simply click on the search bar, and they will come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, just click on the one you want and insert it. Clickfunnel Smtp Sendgrid

The process for handling integrations is also straightforward, though you might have to look at your third party software’s documentation to discover exactly what ClickFunnels needs. Overall, you’ll find the procedure straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some attributes, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very simple method of incorporating and managing integrations.

Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a part separate from integrations. They may be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also what they sound like: they are the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop will not really be a lot of store unless you’re using a payment gateway.

A listing of the payment gateways you can add:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Managing each these integrations is pretty easy–as long as you’re all set up using whatever tool you’re trying to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations normally run smoothly and you do not need to fret much.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ main market is its simplicity of usage –because their advertisement says,”Don’t waste any more time with’tech men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that allow the less experienced save time and money. That being the case, evaluating ease of usage is pretty significant.

Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some experience.

Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For most people, I’d say the learning curve would be only a few hours max. If you behind, pick up the books mentioned in the critique of Russell Brunson.

Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a reasonable amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it appears to me as if most queries must be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.

All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The core features of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate into all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or payment processors will require a little bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it is things you’ll be able to determine by Googling about or seeing the docs centre.

Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it probably will not be enough to hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It unites alternative and customizability with convenience, and while I’d suggest all potential users input with some simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.

Who is ClickFunnels for?

Who really stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience ) will get the maximum use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a companies more than others.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and even those offering B2B services would probably be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does well with those offering more innovative products or ventures that are individual. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards these businesses: for instance, if you’re a florist, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic method of marketing for you. If you are trying to center everything there could be great support too. The same goes for people selling content like publications or classes.

Of course, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not believe you need to decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely in their default funnel kinds. If you’re a smaller business, alright with the price , and you have to make your visitors work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to maintain a better landing page.

Customer Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is only barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but nevertheless adequate. Their page has a collection of categories. Content-wise it isn’t too shabby, although it may be easy. Clickfunnel Smtp Sendgrid

As the direct customer service, they’ve a chat feature inside the dashboard after you log in for, but I am not overly delighted by it. They’ve been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more complex questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they took three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not require that sort of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t offer that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Additionally, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. Notably, in cases when features have not worked as promised or if there were site malfunctions, customer support representatives were supposedly either unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, some of his clients were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. After he contacted customer support, he discovered that they were unhelpful and apathetic. It might be a scenario that is improbable, but it illustrates the point.

Overall Support Rating

I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel the team largely understand that their services are not perfectly simple to use and/or demand tools fresh for their customers, and they have put enough resources into their support to make it adequate. At least queries will be answered, and they are fairly responsive. Most users, myself included, wouldn’t state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it mostly meets a bare minimum that makes it at least great. Within this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

Therefore, what’s the overarching verdict? It is good–4 out of 5 stars! It is a legitimate competitor in the advertising program area and worth trying out.

Yeah, a few drawbacks are: If you want a more answer to your advertising needs with customization skills that are greater, you may want to look into third party choices you can connect. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service agents, or any glitches in the software. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.

But you know what? Considering everything, I do not think any of these outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone advantages like integrations that are solid, the short learning curve, and templates that are good.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and attain higher conversion rates. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be useful for less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I’m pretty sure that for the majority of users, enough option is offered by the page builder. If you’re looking first and foremost to get a simple but solid sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. In the end, it has not reached its popularity on empty promises, and that is why I’m giving it 4/5 stars.
