ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only three years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to market things online using differently complicated marketing technologies, known as sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but advertising experiences. He played around with email marketing for some time, and eventually started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets that his fans rave about and that direct people through his marketing methodologies. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Clickfunnel Design
ClickFunnels started out as a way to help Brunson and his staff produce funnels more rapidly for different ventures, as developing funnels would usually take months. However, they had great potential as a commodity and soon realized their production would be useful to other people.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes individuals who do not understand you and turns them into clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps developed to direct a web site visitor to the checkout page.
There is a way of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Step 2: Envision this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients you call web traffic or website traffic. Your website visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors still doesn’t turn into customers. In a brick and mortar shop, that’s like people walking into your shop but not knowing where the cash register is, so they leave the shop without buying anything. In a physical store, you can speak your customers. In a shop, you may be a little more distant from the customers. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your clients’ . The funnel works step-by-step, bring traffic in closer and closer until people end up at a payment page.
If you feel this sounds cool, you’re correct –it’s turned into a huge deal for online advertising. Russell Brunson did get rich by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some great information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to save time and energyto do exactly what otherwise requires a lot of proficiency and/or an array of third party applications. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
One of the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on earning money for the user. They make it put your content up, simple to produce your account, and begin taking payments. Plus, it is pretty easy to select up everything –it will probably take you a few hours to figure out most of what you require, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are very useful here. I like how easy it’s to replicate pages, and also the fact I can save templates for use again later. Their page builder is a fairly important feature, and they’ve pulled it. It’s an builder once you become used to it.
Built in A/B testing is excellent. All you have to do is duplicate a page, make your adjustments, and choose the amounts of the visitors that you wish to view variant A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations pretty nicely. Email autoresponders and payment chips aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to control.
You will also find a handy WordPress plugin which lets you insert ClickFunnels pages. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin , using over 20,000 active setups.
All in one
In general, it is great to get things so centralized: I can build my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and trigger emails all from one platform.
All of this really will save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to spend on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.
You may be sure that the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. In case you’ve got more than 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the complete suite might not be too much to ask. Clickfunnel Design
ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a great job of packaging great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they would have when they attempted to manage funnels another way.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it has quite a few areas that need work.
A small drawback is the price. There are just two options, at $97 per month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t another investment in your organization a massive drawback, and like I have mentioned, you receive a fantastic package for it.
Lackluster Customer Support
Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with fundamental queries, but if you inquire harder things, particularly about more advanced features, they won’t be quite beneficial.
Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Creator
This isn’t an objective criticism of the merchandise but that I take a small problem with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a great advertising for sure. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. Once you register for the applications, you may attempt to look at the objective features of this software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and made to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.
This usually means you’ll end up purchasing online courses, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and posts consists of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they made. Though these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they are more concentrated on making quick cash rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do good things, but it has also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online courses, saturation of trainers and specialists, and other spammy internet marketer stuff.
So much of this item is tied to his own brand and his philosophy, although Most of us know the founder is a marketing magician. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything about it seems like an extension of Brunson’s platform.
At times it’s difficult to not get the sensation which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when some elements of the product (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels however more about the neighborhood. As you’ve got the capability to customize within ClickFunnels, many people use layouts. Taking into consideration the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks floating around. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will return or experience some errors. Though this doesn’t happen frequently, there’s little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or driving visitors to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a couple of hours, you may potentially lose a lot of cash.
In addition, it is difficult to know if your pages are functioning or not, unless you always wait or wait till you hear from angry customers. When I clone pages using the HTML publishing option barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices change, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.
I like consistency within my applications if it’s a business alternative.
At length, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with : it’s too simple, and too expensive for its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches which can be cheaper upfront and yield more control over managing certain details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an simple to use package of resources, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and Full Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month and Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it is worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to test out the support , so at least you do not need to commit to an expensive program straight away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).
Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some would say so, and that I can see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 per month. But it’s necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly good job. I personally consider it a fantastic investment.
The principal differences between an entry level consideration and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the main company, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the full list of features.
But, both programs have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide tests, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality that lets you characterize a product as a one-time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your customers cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, and custom domain names; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Suite, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I think ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the section of the ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the gaps, StartUp basically conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can view the complete official list here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I think they’re solid and you get everything you need. They’re largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I’ll be giving them separate segments. Clickfunnel Design
A/B split testing is a feature, but definitely a one.
If you replicate a page and also make changes to the backup, the divide test basically enables you to select what percentages of your traffic that you want to see per page, letting you test conversion rates very conveniently. It is a function and simple to use.
I also think ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for different settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a common theme among some criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be easy to use, I thought the fundamental features were fairly good.
There are a number of types of available pre-made funnels, oriented to several kinds of businesses, and you can obviously build your personal funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I have a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Full Suite is three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complicated. The main objective of Actionetics is smart analytics which result in clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool supposed to make managing an affiliate system simpler and more efficient.
However, are products that are separate, or such attributes? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels trying to sell a iffy email auto-responder for me, but perhaps I’m just cynical. In any case, it makes Full Suite a bit perplexing and removes the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.
Here’s the full list of StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 visitors
- unlimited contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase pages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 billing integration per form
You can watch the full list of features, together with complete Package features, here. If you’re in a position where you can manage to try Etison for a bit and you also absolutely need an efficient, simple method of increasing earnings, I don’t believe you’d find yourself shorted. By that same token, I really don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge advantage that you can’t do without them: for most users, simply StartUp will offer a comprehensive adequate package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ main feature, so I wished to devote attention to it. In reality, I feel a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it turned into a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it largely with this particular landing page builder.
Anyway, there’s quite an array of templates with good designs, though as you may expect, just the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are coordinated by funnel type, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.
You might even save certain templates and also create personal page templates, and it is rather simple to find them. As you can see, it is possible to toggle with settings that are fundamental and open from the editor.
Once your pages open from the editor, you be working with a drag and drop builder. It’s a bit more complex than some other mild page builders, but it’s still easy to use.
The editor uses a webpage structure with four chief parts: sections, rows, columns, and components. Think of these components as fitting inside every other (this article has a very helpful diagram). Basically: columns, rows, and elements go inside of sections. You can have multiple sections per page. Rows and columns move indoors segments, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you may have up to four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the lively bits that also make your page interactive and go columns.
It might sound complicated, but it’s pretty simple to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the choice is a mild green box because it is a part, but when I was hovering over an element, it would be orange.
A small criticism I have heard (but do not have ) about the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you have to work within those rows and columns. Personally, I don’t think this is a huge problem and the builder gives you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
I like the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different kinds of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For instance, you may add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels because you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you’re enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has quite a few partners you may enhance your integrations easily. Here’s a full list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations segment, you can search for these or just click the search bar, and they will come up. It, just click the one you desire and insert it. Clickfunnel Design
The process for handling integrations is also straightforward, though you may have to check your third party program’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll discover the process pretty straightforward. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some features, such as the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very simple way of incorporating and handling integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get integrated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a part different from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be much of a shop unless you are using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling all these integrations is fairly easy–so long as you are all set up with whatever tool you’re trying to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations run and you don’t have to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its simplicity of usage –because their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’tech guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that enable the less experienced to save money and time. That being the case, evaluating ease of use is pretty significant.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some expertise.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it may be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I’d say that the learning curve could be only a couple hours max. Pick up the books mentioned earlier in the review of Russell Brunson, if you’re actually behind.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it seems to me as if most queries should be covered, and you could always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.
All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang of. The core features of ClickFunnels–that the actual funnels–are fairly simple to control. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate into all sections of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings regarding email integrations or charge processors will want a little bit of understanding, but it is nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it is things you’ll be able to determine by Googling around or visiting the docs center.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters frequently, but it likely will not be enough to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It combines alternative and customizability with ease, and while I’d indicate all prospective users input with some simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (speaking from experience here) will get the maximum use out of it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some companies.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or network marketing, and even those offering B2B services would most likely be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does nicely with people offering more individual ventures or products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards these businesses: for example, if you are a gentleman, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a good method of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything on your own and your brand, there would be support too. The same holds for people selling content such as books or courses.
Obviously, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I do not think you need to determine if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only in their default funnel types. If you’re a smaller business, okay with the price tag, and you need to produce your traffic work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money with ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anybody who would like to maintain a better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting decent documentation on-site. I think their documentation is sufficient, although just barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their docs page includes a collection of categories, each with their own articles. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it may be easy. Clickfunnel Design
As for the customer service that is direct, they’ve a feature within the dashboard once you log into, but I’m not delighted by it. They have generally been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more complex questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one HTML publishing query, they took to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t require that kind of support and to be honest, most SaaS businesses don’t offer that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Additionally, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. Notably, in cases when attributes haven’t worked when there were site malfunctions or as promised, customer support reps were allegedly unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, some of his customers were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. After he contacted customer support, he discovered that they were unhelpful. It illustrates the point, although it may be a improbable situation.
Overall Support Rating
I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think the team understand that their solutions are not easy to use and/or demand tools new to their customers, and they’ve put resources into their support to make it adequate. At least fundamental queries will be answered, and they are pretty responsive. Perhaps most consumers wouldn’t state ClickFunnels has exceptional customer support, but it largely meets. In this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the conclusion that is overarching? It is fine –4 out of 5 stars! It is a legitimate competitor in the advertising software area and worth trying out.
Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: you might want to check, If you want a more answer to your marketing needs with greater customization abilities. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with customer service agents, or any glitches in the software. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering everything, I do not think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone other advantages such as solid integrations the short learning curve, and templates that are good.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center objective–to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and reach conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be helpful for less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I’m pretty certain that for the majority of prospective users, enough option is offered by the webpage builder. If you’re looking to get an easy but solid sales alternative or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. It hasn’t attained its popularity on promises, and that’s why I’m giving it 4/5 celebrities.
