What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just 3 years it has been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using otherwise complex advertising technology, known as sales funnels (more about those in a second).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, but not just from ClickFunnels, but advertising experiences. He played around with email advertising for some time, and began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets two books, and Expert Secrets his fans rave about and that guide people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website . Click Funnels Tutorials
ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his team create funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would normally take months. They soon realized their creation would be helpful to others and had good potential as a commodity.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a process that takes people who do not know you personally and turns them to customers, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of measures developed to direct a web site visitor.
There is a dull way of considering it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Envision this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you call web traffic or site traffic. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that still doesn’t turn many of your visitors into clients. In a physical shop, that is like people walking in to your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without purchasing anything. At a store, you can talk your customers into buying something. In a shop that is digital, you could be a bit more distant from your visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your clients’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel works incremental, bring visitors in closer and closer until visitors end up in a payment page.
If you think this sounds cool, you’re correct –it’s become a huge deal for online advertising. Russell Brunson did not only get wealthy by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it too.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some good information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to help save you time and energyto do what otherwise requires a lot of proficiency and/or an array of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on earning money. They make it quite easy to produce your account, put your content up, and start taking payments. Plus, it’s rather easy to pick everything up–it will probably take you a few hours to find out most of what you require, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are very useful here. I like how simple it is to replicate pages, and the fact I can save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a attribute, and they have pulled it. As soon as you get used to it, it’s an builder.
Constructed in A/B testing is excellent. All you have to do is replicate a page, make your adjustments, and choose the amounts of your traffic that you want to see version A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment chips are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to control.
You’ll also find a useful WordPress plugin which lets you add ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress site. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle than working between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active setups.
All in one
In general, it’s great to get things so concentrated: I will build my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.
All of this really does save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to invest on programmers, CSShosting configurations, etc.
You may rest assured that the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp account is pretty decent. In case you’ve got more than 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, then the complete suite might not be too much to ask. Click Funnels Tutorials
ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packing great tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they would have if they attempted to handle funnels another way.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has a number of places that need work.
A drawback is the price. There are two options, at either $97 per month or $297 per month. From the grand scheme of things, this isn’t another investment in your business a massive drawback, and like I have said, you get a package for it.
Lackluster Client Service
Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with basic questions, but if you inquire more difficult things, especially about more advanced features, they will not be very helpful.
Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Founder
This is not an objective criticism of the product but I take a small issue with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They’ve a fantastic marketing. But from a user experience perspective, it can acquire obtrusive. When you register for the software, you may attempt to look at the purpose features of the software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s marketing methods.
This means you’ll find yourself buying online classes, publications, attending conventions, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and many posts is composed of people bragging about how much money they created and flashing their sport cars. Although these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they’re more focused on making quick money instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, on line classes, saturation of coaches and experts, and other spammy online marketer stuff.
We know the founder is a marketing but much of this product is tied into his doctrine and his brand. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything about it seems to be an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
At times it’s hard not to get the sensation which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when some aspects of the merchandise (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels however more about the neighborhood. As you have the capability to personalize broadly within ClickFunnels, a lot of people use similar designs. Taking into consideration the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large quantity of ClickFunnel-y seems. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels encounter some mistakes or will return. Though this really doesn’t occur often, there is little you can do but wait. If you are investing a lot in advertising or driving traffic to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a few hours, then you can potentially lose a good deal of cash.
It’s also hard to know when your pages are working or not, unless you always check or wait till you hear from angry customers. When I replicate pages using the HTML publishing alternative barring uptime, I deal with a few glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options alter, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.
I enjoy consistency in my software, especially if it’s a business solution.
Finally, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with personally: it’s too simple, and too expensive because of its simplicity. These criticisms have a tendency to refer to home improvement approaches which may be more economical upfront and give more control over managing specific details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use bundle of resources, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test out the service, in order you do not need to commit to a costly program right away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Package ).
Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some might say so, and that I could see why–especially in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 per month. However, it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to make funnels more efficient, and it does a pretty great job. I consider it a fantastic investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the principal service, the funnel-builder, with some constraints on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the full list of features.
But, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature that lets you describe a product as a one time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domain names; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Total Package, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the subsequent section of the ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the gaps, StartUp basically conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation instrument ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can view the complete official list .
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I believe that they’re solid and you get everything you need. They are largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are all good examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them different sections. Click Funnels Tutorials
A/B split testing is a more compact feature, but unquestionably a one.
If you duplicate a page and also make changes to the backup, the split test essentially enables you to select what percentages of the traffic you want to view per page, allowing you test conversion rates very handily. It is very easy to use and a function.
I also believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for different settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them restrictive (a common theme among a few criticisms), but while the support is supposed to be easy to use, I believed the fundamental features were pretty good.
There are a number of types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to several types of businesses, and also you can of course build your own funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I have a moment in this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. In my opinion, Total Suite is three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it is exactly what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complicated. The chief goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail in addition to email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool supposed to make managing an affiliate program easier and more effective.
But are such attributes, or products that are separate? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels trying to sell an iffy email auto-responder for me, but perhaps I’m just cynical. In any case, it makes Full Suite a little confusing and removes the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.
Here is the full list of StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- unlimited contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase pages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 billing integration per type
You may watch the full list of features, together with Full Suite attributes, here. If you are in a position where you can manage to try Etison for a bit and you also absolutely need an efficient, simple way of increasing sales, I do not think you would find yourself shorted. By that same token, I don’t think Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge advantage that you can’t do without themfor most users, simply StartUp will offer a comprehensive adequate package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ main attribute, so I wished to devote attention to it. In reality, I feel a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top score has to do with it being a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its own funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it mostly for this particular landing page builder.
Anyhow, there’s rather an array of templates with great designs, though as you may expect, just the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel kind, so poking around isn’t too hard.
You can also save certain templates and also make personal page templates, and it is pretty easy to find them. As you can see, you can toggle with basic settings and open from the editor.
Once you start your pages you’ll essentially be working with a drag and drop builder. It is a bit more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it is still easy to use.
The editor utilizes a page structure with four chief parts: sections, rows, columns, and components. Think of these components as fitting within every other (this informative article has a helpful diagram). Basically: elements, columns, and rows go inside of segments. You can have several sections per page. Rows and columns move inside segments, but columns especially enter rows. This way you may have up to four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the lively bits that go columns and make your page interactive to its visitors.
It may sound complicated, but it is pretty easy to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for example, from the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box because it is a section, but if I had been hovering over a component, it would be orange.
A little criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have ) on the builder is how grid-like it is–you have to work within those columns and rows. Personally, I don’t think this is a massive problem and the builder provides you enough hands without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
In general, I enjoy the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of different kinds of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of example, you may add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has quite a few noteworthy partners you may add to your integrations. Here’s a full list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations section, you can search for these or simply click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, just click the one. Click Funnels Tutorials
The procedure for managing integrations is also simple, though you may need to look at your third party program’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the procedure simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some attributes, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have an extremely straightforward method of adding and managing integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part different from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be a lot of shop unless you are using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing all of these integrations is fairly easy–so long as you’re all set up using whatever tool you’re attempting to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations usually run and you do not have to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its simplicity of use–because their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that enable the less experienced to save money and time. That being the case, evaluating ease of use is pretty significant.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you should still have some experience.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I’d say that the learning curve would be only a couple hours maximum. Pick up the books mentioned previously in the review of Russell Brunson, if you are actually behind.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it appears to me like most queries must be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it comes to it.
All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang . The center characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the actual funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate into all sections of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings regarding email integrations or payment processors will require a bit of understanding, but it is nowhere near the amount of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it’s stuff you’ll be able to determine by Googling around or seeing the docs center.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it probably won’t be sufficient to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It combines alternative and customizability with convenience, and while I’d suggest all prospective users input with a few simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience here) will find the most use out of it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a businesses more than others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or community advertising, and those that offer B2B services would most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does ventures or creative products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those businesses: for instance, if you are a gentleman, you may come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a good method of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything there would be support too. The same holds for people selling content like classes or books.
Of course, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I don’t believe you need to determine if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely on their default funnel kinds. If you are a smaller company, alright with the price , and you need to produce your traffic work for you , I doubt you would be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anyone who wants to keep a much better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I think their documentation is only barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but adequate. Their page has a series of categories. It might be easy, but it isn’t too shabby. Click Funnels Tutorials
As for the customer service, they have a chat feature within the dashboard once you log into, but I’m not pleased by it. They’ve been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more advanced questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they took to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users won’t require that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS businesses don’t provide that level of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Furthermore, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. Notably, in instances when attributes haven’t worked as promised or when there were site malfunctions, client support reps were either unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, a number of his clients were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only articles. He discovered they were unhelpful and apathetic, After he contacted customer service. It illustrates the point, although it may be a situation that is improbable.
Total Support Rating
I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel the team understand that their services are not easy to use and/or demand tools fresh to their customers, and they have put enough resources into their support to make it adequate. At least fundamental questions will be answered, and they are fairly responsive. Maybe users, myself included, would not state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it largely meets. In this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
Therefore, what’s the verdict? It’s fine! It’s a legitimate competitor in the advertising software space and worth trying out.
Yeah, a few drawbacks are: If you want a more hands-on answer to your marketing needs with customization skills, you might want to check into third party choices you can tie. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with customer service agents, or any glitches in the software. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone other positives such as solid integrations, the learning curve, and superior templates.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and reach conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be pretty helpful for less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I am pretty sure that for the huge majority of users, the webpage builder provides choice. If you’re looking first and foremost to get a simple but solid sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. On empty promises, it hasn’t reached its popularity In the end, and that’s why I am giving 4/5 stars to it.
