ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only three years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using differently complicated marketing technologies, known as sales funnels (more about those in a second).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his creation, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, but not only from ClickFunnels, but other marketing adventures. He played with email marketing for a while, and eventually started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets and the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets his fans rave about and that guide people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Click Funnels Templates
ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his staff create funnels more quickly for different ventures, as creating funnels would usually take months. They soon realized their production would be helpful to others and had good potential as a commodity.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes individuals who do not know you personally and turns them to customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of measures developed to guide a website visitor.
There is a less boring way of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you telephone internet traffic or website visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that still doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors into customers. In a brick and mortar store, that is like people walking into your shop but not knowing where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without purchasing anything. You can talk your clients. In a shop, you could be a little more distant from your visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your customers’ through principles of psychology. The funnel functions step-by-step, draw traffic in closer and closer until visitors end up in a payment page.
You’re correct, if you feel this sounds cool –it’s turned into a massive deal for online marketing. Russell Brunson did not only get rich by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it as well.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some great information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to save you time and energy–to do what requires a lot of competence and/or a range of third party applications. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
Among the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on earning the user money. They make it put your content up, easy to make your accounts, and start taking payments. Plus, it’s rather simple to pick up everything –it will likely take you a few hours to find out most of what you require, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are extremely useful here. I enjoy how easy it’s to duplicate pages, and the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their webpage builder is a fairly important attribute, and they have pulled it. It is an builder once you become used to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is excellent too. All you need to do is duplicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and pick the numbers of the traffic you want to view variant A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations nicely. Email autoresponders and payment chips aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to manage.
You will also find a WordPress plugin which allows you insert ClickFunnels pages. It saves a good deal of time and is much less of a hassle compared to working between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active setups.
All in 1
In general, it’s great to have things so centralized: I can build my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and activate emails all from one platform.
All of this really does save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to spend on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.
You can rest assured that the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you are permitted for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. If you’ve got more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, the full suite may not be too much to ask. Click Funnels Templates
ClickFunnels isn’t perfect, but it does a fantastic job of packing good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they would have if they attempted to manage funnels another way.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it has quite a few areas that require work.
A drawback is the cost. There are just two alternatives, at either $97 a month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not another investment in your business, a drawback, and like I have mentioned, you receive a package for it.
Lackluster Client Service
Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with fundamental queries, but if you inquire harder things, particularly about more innovative features, they won’t be quite beneficial.
Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Creator
This is not an objective criticism of the product but I take a small issue with their advertising that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it’s hard to escape the hype. They’ve a advertising for certain. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. When you sign up for the software, you can try to look at the objective features of this software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and made to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.
This means you’ll end up purchasing online courses, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and posts consists of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sports cars. Though these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they’re more concentrated on making quick money instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online courses, saturation of coaches and specialists, and other spammy internet marketer stuff.
A lot of the product is tied into his philosophy and his brand, although we know the founder is a marketing magician. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it looks like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s hard not to get the feeling that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when some elements of the product (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels but more about the community. As you have the capability to personalize broadly within ClickFunnels, many men and women use designs. Taking into consideration the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a large quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or experience some errors. Though this doesn’t happen often, there is little you can do but wait patiently. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or forcing visitors to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a couple of hours, then you can potentially lose a good deal of money.
It’s also hard to know when your pages are working or not, unless you always wait or wait till you hear from angry clients. When I replicate pages using the HTML printing option barring uptime, I also deal with a few glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options alter, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.
I like consistency in my applications if it’s a business solution.
At length, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it’s too easy, and too expensive for its simplicity. These criticisms have a tendency to refer to home improvement approaches which can be cheaper upfront and give more control over handling certain details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use package of resources, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes at $297 per month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test out the support , in order you don’t have to commit to a costly plan straight away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).
Nonetheless, a bit hefty huh? Well, some might say , and I can see why–especially in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 per month. But it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a pretty great job. I personally consider it a good investment.
The principal differences between an entry level consideration along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the main service, the funnel-builder, with some constraints on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just some of the full list of features.
However, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split evaluations, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality that lets you characterize a product as a one-time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your clients cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domains; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Total Suite, do not worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the subsequent section of the ClickFunnels review.
To outline the differences, StartUp basically carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation instrument ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You are able to watch the full official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I believe they’re solid and you get everything you need. They’re largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are good examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them separate sections. Click Funnels Templates
A/B split testing is a feature, but unquestionably a one.
If you duplicate a webpage and make changes to the backup, the split test basically lets you choose what percentages of the traffic that you need to view per page, allowing you test conversion rates very handily. It is quite easy to use and a fantastic function.
I also think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and straightforward for other settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a common theme among a few criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be easy to work with, I thought the fundamental features were pretty good.
There are quite a few types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to several kinds of companies, and also you can of course build your own funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I’ll just take a moment in this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. In my opinion, Total Suite is three products being packaged as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an email auto-responder or only an auto-responder, but it’s a bit more complicated. The main goal of Actionetics is smart analytics which result in smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics comes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool supposed to create managing an affiliate system simpler and more efficient.
However, are these attributes, or separate products? Actionetics seems somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to market a iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but perhaps I am just cynical. In any case, it makes Full Suite a little perplexing and eliminates the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.
Here’s the full list of StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- unlimited contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split tests
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase webpages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale pages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 billing integration per form
You may watch the full list of features, along with Full Suite features, here. If you are in a situation where you are able to afford to try Etison for a little and you also absolutely need an efficient, simple way of increasing sales, I don’t believe you’d wind up shorted. By that exact same token, I really don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge benefit that you can’t do without them: for most users, simply StartUp will offer a comprehensive adequate bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is likely ClickFunnels’ main attribute, so I wished to devote attention. In fact, I think a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it being a really solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it largely with this particular landing page builder.
Anyway, there is rather an array of templates with great designs, though as you can expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel kind, so poking around is not too hard.
You might also save certain templates and create personal page templates, and it’s pretty easy to see them. As you can see, it is possible to toggle with settings that are fundamental and open in the editor.
Once you open your pages in the editor, you will essentially be working using a drag and drop builder. It is a bit more complex than some other light page builders, but it is still user friendly.
The editor utilizes a page structure with four chief components: sections, columns, rows, and components. Think of these components as fitting within each other (this informative article has a very helpful diagram). Basically: columns, rows, and elements go inside of segments. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns go indoors segments, but columns specifically enter rows. This way you may have a row with one column, or up to four. Elements are the bits that make your page interactive to its visitors and go inside columns.
It may sound complex, but it is rather simple to get the hang of. Everything is color-coded–for example, in the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box because it is a section, however when I had been hovering over an element, it would be orange.
A small criticism I have heard (but don’t have ) about the builder is the way grid-like it is–you have to work within those rows and columns. I personally do not think this is a massive problem and the builder gives you enough hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it may be worth a mention.
In general, I like the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page quite simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to earn money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of different types of integrations you are able to enhance your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of example, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few noteworthy partners you may add to your integrations. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations section, you can look for these or simply click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, simply click on the one you want and insert it. Click Funnels Templates
The process for managing integrations is also simple, though you may have to look at your third party software’s documentation to discover precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the process straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some attributes, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have an extremely straightforward way of adding and handling integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part separate from integrations. They might be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be much of a store unless you are using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing each these integrations is fairly simple –so long as you’re all set up with whatever tool you’re attempting to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations operate smoothly and you don’t need to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its ease of use–because their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that allow the less experienced save money and time. That being the case, assessing ease of usage is pretty important.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you need to still have some experience.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I’d say the learning curve could be just a few hours maximum. If you behind, pick up Russell Brunson’s books mentioned earlier in the review.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is unquestionably easier than creating funnels all on your own. They have a reasonable amount of documentation, and it might not be ideal, but it seems to me as if most queries must be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.
All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang . The center characteristics of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings regarding email integrations or payment processors will require a little bit of understanding, but it is nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would have to actually code the funnels–it’s things you can determine by Googling about or visiting the docs centre.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it probably won’t be sufficient to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It combines alternative and customizability with convenience, and while I would indicate all potential users input with some basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience here) will find the maximum use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to a businesses.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network marketing, and those that offer B2B services will most likely be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does well with people offering more ventures that are individual or creative products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those industries: for instance, if you are a gentleman, you might come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a fantastic method of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything on your own and your brand, there could be support also. The same holds for people selling content like courses or books.
Obviously, you could always start from a blank funnel, and I do not think you should determine if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only in their default funnel kinds. If you are a smaller company, alright with the price tag, and you have to produce your visitors work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anyone who wants to keep a much better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is nevertheless sufficient, although only for SaaS companies. Their page includes a series of classes. It may be simple, however it isn’t too shabby. Click Funnels Templates
As for the customer service that is immediate, they’ve a feature within the dashboard once you log in, but I am not delighted with it. They’ve generally been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more complex questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing question, they required three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users will not need that kind of support and to be honest, most SaaS businesses don’t offer that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Furthermore, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. In instances when attributes haven’t worked as promised or if there were site malfunctions, customer support reps were supposedly unhelpful or unresponsive. One notorious reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, a number of his customers were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only articles. He discovered they were unhelpful and apathetic After he contacted customer support. It might be a situation that is weird, improbable, but it illustrates the point.
Total Support Rating
I would not say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think that the team understand that their services are not perfectly easy to use and/or involve tools fresh to their customers, and they’ve put enough resources in their support to make it adequate. At least queries will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Perhaps most users, myself included, wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it meets. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
Therefore, what’s the conclusion? It’s good! It is a legitimate contender in the advertising software area and worth trying out.
Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: you might want to check, Should you need a more hands-on answer to your advertising needs with greater customization skills. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with customer service agents, or some glitches in the program. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone additional advantages like the brief learning curve, solid integrations, and templates.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center objective–to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and attain higher conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be quite useful for entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed that are significantly less. I am pretty certain that for the vast majority of users, the page builder provides choice. If you are looking for an sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. It has not reached its popularity on promises, and that I’m giving 4/5 stars to it.
