What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only 3 years it has been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to sell things online using differently complex marketing technology, known as sales funnels (more about those in a second).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his invention, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, not just from ClickFunnels, but other marketing adventures. He played with email advertising for a while, and eventually began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets, two books and the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets his lovers rave that direct and about people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website . Click Funnels Survey
ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his staff create funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would normally take months. They soon realized their creation would be helpful to others and had good potential as a product.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes people who don’t know you personally and turns them to clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of measures developed to direct a website visitor to the checkout page.
There is a way of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you call internet traffic or website visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors doesn’t turn into customers. In a brick and mortar shop, that is like people walking into your shop but not knowing where the cash register is, so they leave the store without buying anything. At a physical store, you can speak your customers into purchasing something. In a store that is digital, you may be a little more remote from your visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your clients’ through principles of psychology. The funnel functions step-by-step, bring visitors in closer and closer till visitors end up in a page.
You’re correct, if you feel that sounds cool –it has turned into a massive bargain for marketing. Russell Brunson didn’t only get rich by selling ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it too.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to save you time and energy–to do exactly what demands a lot of competence and/or a range of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making your consumer money. They make it very simple to make your accounts, put your content up, and start taking payments. Plus, it’s rather simple to pick up everything –it’ll likely take you a couple hours to find out a lot of what you require, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are very useful here. I like how simple it’s to duplicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their page builder is a attribute that is fairly important, and they’ve pulled it. It is an easy to use drag and drop builder As soon as you get used to it.
Built in A/B testing is excellent too. All you need to do is duplicate a webpage, make your changes, and choose the numbers of your traffic you wish to see variant A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels handles API integrations well. Email autoresponders and payment chips are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to control.
You will also find a useful WordPress plugin which allows you insert ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress site. It saves a lot of time and is a lot less of a hassle than working between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active installations.
All in 1
Overall, it is great to get things so concentrated: I can construct my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and activate emails all from one platform.
All this really will save time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to spend on programmers, CSShosting configurations, and so on.
You can rest assured the lower-tiered accounts is a great investment–what you’re allowed for a StartUp account is pretty decent. If you’ve got more than 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, then the complete package might not be too much to ask. Click Funnels Survey
ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a great job of packaging good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they’d have if they attempted to handle funnels another way.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it’s a number of areas that need work.
A drawback is the price. There are two pricing options, at either $97 per month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t just another investment in your business, a massive drawback, and like I have said, you receive a good package for it.
Lackluster Customer Support
Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been fine with fundamental questions, but if you ask them more difficult things, particularly about more advanced features, they will not be quite helpful.
Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Creator
This isn’t an objective criticism of the merchandise but that I take a slight problem with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a fantastic marketing. However, from a user experience perspective, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you register for the software, you can try to look at the purpose features of this software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be lost and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising methods.
This means you will end up purchasing online classes, publications, attending conventions, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and posts consists of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sport cars. Although these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they’re more concentrated on earning quick cash instead of building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do good things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online courses, saturation of coaches and specialists, along with other spammy internet marketer stuff.
A lot of this product is tied to his doctrine and his brand, although we all know the founder is a marketing wizard. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it looks like an extension of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s difficult to not get the sensation which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when some aspects of the product (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels however more on the community. As you have the capability to customize within ClickFunnels, many people use designs. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks floating about. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels encounter some mistakes or will go down. Though this really doesn’t happen frequently, there’s little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or driving visitors to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a few hours, you can potentially lose a lot of cash.
In addition, it is hard to know when your pages are working or not, unless you constantly wait or wait till you hear from angry customers. When I replicate webpages using the HTML printing option barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices change, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels is still figuring out things.
I enjoy consistency within my applications if it’s a business solution.
At length, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it is too easy, and too expensive for its simplicity. These criticisms have a tendency to refer to home improvement approaches that can be cheaper upfront and yield more control over handling specific details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an simple to use bundle of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it’s worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try the support , in order you don’t need to commit to an expensive plan straight away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Package ).
Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some would say so, and that I can see why–particularly in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 per month. However, it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to make funnels more effective, and it does a pretty great job. Personally, I consider it a good investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the principal company, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the complete list of features.
However, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split tests, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality which lets you characterize a product as a one time payment merchandise for your payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with custom domain names; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Full Suite, don’t worry, it is confusing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the section of this ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the gaps, StartUp basically conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can watch the full official list here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ attributes complete? I think they’re solid and you get whatever you need. They are largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are all great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I’ll be giving them separate sections. Click Funnels Survey
A/B split testing is a smaller feature, but definitely a one.
If you replicate a page and also make changes to the copy, the split test essentially lets you choose what percentages of your traffic that you need to view per page, letting you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It is simple to use and a function.
In addition, I think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and straightforward for other settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them prohibitive (a common theme among a few criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be easy to work with, I thought the fundamental features were fairly great.
There are a number of kinds of available pre-made funnels, oriented to several types of companies, and also you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I will just take a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my opinion, Full Suite is three products being packaged together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it’s exactly what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complex. The main objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which result in smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to make managing an affiliate program simpler and more effective.
However, are products, or such attributes? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to market an iffy email auto-responder to me, but maybe I am just cynical. In any case, it gets Complete Suite a bit confusing and removes the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.
Here’s the Complete list of StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- boundless contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split tests
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order webpages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 billing integration per type
You may watch the full list of features, along with Full Suite attributes, here. If you’re in a position where you can afford to try out Etison for a bit and you absolutely need an efficient, simple method of increasing earnings, I do not think you would wind up shorted. By that exact same token, I don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge advantage that you can not do without themfor many users, just StartUp will offer a comprehensive adequate package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is probably ClickFunnels’ main feature, so I wished to devote attention. In fact, I think a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a top score has to do with it turned into a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building applications and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this particular landing page builder.
Anyhow, there is quite an array of templates with great designs, however as you can expect, just the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel type, therefore poking around is not too hard.
You can even save certain templates and make own page templates, and it’s pretty easy to see them. It is possible to toggle with fundamental settings and open from the editor as you can see.
You will essentially be working using a drag and drop builder When your pages start from the editor. It’s a bit more complex than some other mild page builders, but it’s still easy to use.
The editor utilizes a webpage structure with four chief components: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Think of these components as fitting inside every other (this article has a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and elements go inside of segments. You can have several sections per page. Rows and columns go inside sections, but columns specifically enter rows. This way you may have a row with a single column, or around four. Elements are the bits that go within columns and make your page interactive to its customers.
It may sound complex, but it is pretty easy to get the hang . Everything is color-coded–for example, in the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box since it is a part, however when I was hovering over an element, it could be orange.
A little criticism I have heard (but don’t have personally) on the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you need to work within those rows and columns. I personally do not think this is a massive issue and the builder provides you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of use, but it may be worth a mention.
In general, I enjoy the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other advertising and marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct kinds of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. For instance, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has quite a few noteworthy partners you may add to your integrations. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations section, you can look for these or simply click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, simply click the one. Click Funnels Survey
The procedure for managing integrations is also straightforward, though you may have to check your third party program’s documentation to discover exactly what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll find the process pretty simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some attributes, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very simple method of incorporating and managing integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section different from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be a lot of shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling each these integrations is pretty easy–as long as you are all set up using whatever tool you are attempting to incorporate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations run smoothly and you don’t need to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its ease of use–because their advertisement says,”Don’t waste any more time with’tech men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the most important service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that allow the less experienced save money and time. That being the situation, evaluating ease of usage is really significant.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you should still have some experience.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it may be a bit overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I would say that the learning curve would be just a few hours max. Pick up the books mentioned previously in the review of Russell Brunson if you are really behind.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it appears to me as if most questions must be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.
All that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The center features of ClickFunnels–that the actual funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or charge processors will want a little bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it is things you’ll be able to determine by Googling around or visiting the docs centre.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters frequently, but it likely will not be enough to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It combines choice and customizability with ease, and while I would indicate all potential users input with a few simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience ) will find the maximum use from it. There are variations in funnel types that appeal to a companies.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and even those that offer B2B services will probably be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does ventures or innovative products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those industries: for instance, if you are a gentleman, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a good way of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything on your own and your brand, there would be support too. The same holds for individuals selling content such as courses or books.
Of course, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t believe you need to determine if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only in their default funnel types. If you are a smaller company, okay with the price , and you need to produce your visitors work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anybody who wants to maintain a much better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I think their documentation is only for SaaS companies, but adequate. Their page includes a collection of classes. Content-wise it isn’t too shabby, although it may be simple. Click Funnels Survey
As once you log in for the customer service, they’ve a chat feature within the dashboard, but I’m not pleased by it. They have generally been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I have had more advanced questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing query, they required to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users will not need that sort of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t offer that level of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. In instances when features have not worked as promised or if there were site malfunctions, client service representatives were allegedly either unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, some of his clients were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. He found that they were unhelpful and apathetic when he contacted customer support. It might be a unlikely scenario, but it illustrates the point.
Overall Support Rating
I would not say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I think the team largely understand that their solutions are not easy to use and/or demand tools new to their customers, and they have put enough resources into their support to make it decent. At least questions will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Most users, myself included, would not say ClickFunnels has exceptional customer support, but it meets a minimum that makes it at least great. In this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
Therefore, what’s the overarching verdict? It’s good! It is a legitimate competitor in the marketing program area and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a few drawbacks: you may want to check, If you need a more hands-on answer to your advertising needs with customization abilities. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or some glitches in the program. You could be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone additional advantages such as the short learning curve, strong integrations, and templates.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center objective–to make it simpler for you to funnel visitors and attain higher conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be pretty helpful for significantly less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I am pretty certain that for the vast majority of prospective users, the page builder provides enough option. If you are looking for an sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a great tool. It has not reached its popularity on empty promises, and that is why I am giving 4/5 celebrities to it.
