ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just 3 years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using otherwise complex marketing technology, known as sales funnels (more on those in a second).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, not just from ClickFunnels, but other advertising adventures. He played with email marketing for some time, and eventually began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets, two novels that his fans rave about and that direct people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website . Click Funnels Supplement
ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his staff produce funnels more rapidly for different ventures, as creating funnels would normally take months. They soon realized their production would be helpful to other people and had great potential as a commodity.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes individuals who do not understand you personally and turns them into customers, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of measures designed to direct a website visitor.
There’s a boring method of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you telephone internet traffic or site traffic. Your website visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors . In a brick and mortar store, that’s like people walking in to your shop but not knowing where the cash register is, so they leave the shop without buying anything. At a store, you can talk your customers. In a store that is digital, you may be a little more distant from the visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to attract your customers’ . The funnel functions incremental, draw traffic in closer and closer till visitors wind up in a page.
If you think this sounds cool, you are right–it has become a massive bargain for internet marketing. Russell Brunson did become rich by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to save time and energyto do what demands a lot of technological competence and/or an array of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
Among the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on earning money. They make it put up your content, easy to make your accounts, and begin taking payments. Plus, it is pretty simple to pick everything up–it’ll likely take you a couple hours to find out a lot of what you require, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are extremely useful here. I enjoy how simple it’s to replicate pages, and the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their webpage builder is a pretty important feature, and they have pulled it. It’s an simple to use drag and drop builder, once you get used to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is excellent too. All you need to do is replicate a webpage, make your changes, and pick the amounts of your traffic you wish to view variant A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations well. Email autoresponders and payment chips are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to control.
You’ll also find a WordPress plugin which allows you insert ClickFunnels pages. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle than working between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active setups.
All in 1
Overall, it’s great to get things so centralized: I will build my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and activate emails all from one platform.
All this really will save time and money, resources you would otherwise have to spend on developers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.
You can be sure that the lower-tiered accounts is a great investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. In case you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, then the complete suite may not be too much to ask. Click Funnels Supplement
ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a fantastic job of packing good tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a hassle they would have when they attempted to manage funnels another manner.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s quite a few places that need work.
A small drawback is the price. There are two pricing options, at $97 per month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not a drawback, another investment in your business, and like I have said, you receive a fantastic package for this.
Lackluster Customer Support
Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been fine with fundamental questions, but if you ask them harder things, particularly about more innovative features, they will not be quite helpful.
Cult-like user base and applications also reliant on Founder
This is not an objective criticism of the product but that I take a slight issue with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype. They have a marketing for certain. But from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. When you sign up for the software, you may attempt to examine the objective features of the software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and made to find out Russell Brunson’s marketing methods.
This means you will end up purchasing online classes, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and posts consists of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they made. Although these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they’re more focused on earning quick cash rather than building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line classes, saturation of coaches and specialists, along with other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.
So much of this product is tied to his own brand and his doctrine, although Most of us know the creator is a marketing wizard. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything about it looks like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
At times it’s hard not to get the feeling that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when some elements of the product (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels however more on the neighborhood. As you’ve got the ability to customize within ClickFunnels, a lot of men and women use designs. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will return or experience some mistakes. Though this really doesn’t occur frequently, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a lot in advertising or driving visitors to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a few hours, then you can potentially lose a lot of cash.
It’s also hard to know if your pages are working or not, unless you always wait or wait until you hear from angry clients. Barring bandwidth, I deal with some glitches when I replicate pages using the HTML printing alternative.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing choices change, etcand it seems ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.
I enjoy consistency in my applications, especially if it is a business alternative.
At length, a criticism I’ve heard but do not quite agree with personally: it is too easy, and too expensive for its simplicity. All these criticisms have a tendency to refer to home improvement approaches which can be cheaper upfront and yield more control over managing certain details. But for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficacy and an simple to use package of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively known as ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes at $297 per month. For what it’s worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to test the service, in order you don’t need to commit to a costly plan straight away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you receive two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).
Nonetheless, a bit hefty huh? Well, some might say , and that I can see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which begins at $25 a month. But it’s necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly great job. Personally, I consider it a good investment.
The main differences between an entry level account and a premium account are as follows: StartUp gets the principal company, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the full list of features.
However, both plans have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a complete list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality which lets you characterize a product as a one-time payment merchandise for your payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domains; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Full Package, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of this ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the differences, StartUp essentially conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can watch the complete official list here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ attributes complete? I believe they’re solid and you get everything you need. They’re largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are all great examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them different sections. Click Funnels Supplement
A/B split testing is a feature, but definitely a one.
If you duplicate a page and make changes to the copy, the split test essentially enables you to select what percentages of your visitors you need to see per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It’s a function and easy to use.
In addition, I think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for other settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them restrictive (a common theme among a few criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be simple to work with, I thought the basic features were pretty great.
There are a number of types of available pre-made funnels, oriented into different types of companies, and you can of course build your own funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I will only have a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Full Suite is three products being packaged as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an email auto-responder or only an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complex. The main objective of Actionetics is smart analytics that result in clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to make managing an affiliate program easier and more effective.
But are these attributes, or products that are separate? Actionetics seems a bit like ClickFunnels trying to sell an iffy email auto-responder for me, but perhaps I’m just cynical. In any case, it makes Full Suite a bit perplexing and removes the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.
Here’s the Complete list of all StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- boundless contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split tests
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase webpages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 billing integration per form
You can view the full list of features, together with Full Suite features, here. If you are in a situation where you are able to manage to try Etison for a bit and you also absolutely need an efficient, easy method of increasing earnings, I do not believe you would wind up shorted. By that same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge advantage that you can’t do without themfor most users, simply StartUp will offer a thorough adequate package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ most important attribute, so I wanted to devote exclusive attention to it. In reality, I think a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it being a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its own funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely for this landing page builder.
Anyhow, there is quite an array of templates with good layouts, though as you can expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel type, so poking around isn’t too hard.
You might also save certain templates and also make personal page templates, and it’s rather simple to see them. You can toggle with settings and open from the editor as you can see.
When your pages start from the editor, you’ll basically be working with a drag and drop builder. It’s a little more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it’s still easy to use.
The editor utilizes a page structure with four chief components: sections, rows, columns, and components. Consider these components as fitting inside every other (this article includes a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and components go inside of segments. You can have several sections per page. Rows and columns go inside sections, but columns especially enter rows. This way you may have up to four, or a row with one column. Elements are the bits that also make your page interactive and go columns.
It might sound complex, but it’s rather simple to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box because it is a part, but when I was hovering over an element, it would be orange.
A little criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have personally) about the builder is how grid-like it’s –you have to work within these columns and rows. Personally, I don’t believe this is a massive problem and the builder gives you enough control without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
Overall, I like the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you incorporate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different types of integrations you are able to enhance your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of example, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few notable partners you may enhance your integrations easily. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations section, you can look for these or simply click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It is pretty self-explanatory, simply click on the one. Click Funnels Supplement
The process for managing integrations is also straightforward, though you might have to check your third party software’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the procedure pretty straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than a few features, such as the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very simple way of incorporating and handling integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part separate from integrations. They might be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways will also be the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be a lot of store unless you are using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling each these integrations is fairly simple –so long as you’re all set up with whatever tool you’re trying to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations run and you do not have to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its ease of usage –as their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which allow the less experienced to save time and money. That being the case, assessing ease of use is pretty important.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some expertise.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I’d say that the learning curve could be only a couple hours maximum. If you’re really behind, pick up the books mentioned earlier in the critique of Russell Brunson.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is unquestionably easier than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a reasonable amount of documentation, and it might not be ideal, but it seems to me as if most questions should be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.
All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang of. The center features of ClickFunnels–the actual funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations involving email integrations or charge processors will require a little bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere near the amount of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it’s things you can figure out by Googling around or seeing the docs centre.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it probably will not be enough to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It combines alternative and customizability with convenience, and while I would indicate all potential users input with a few simple technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (speaking from experience ) will find the maximum use out of it. There are naturally variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some companies more than others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and even those that offer B2B services will most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does independent ventures or products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards these industries: for example, if you’re a gentleman, you may come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a good method of marketing for you. If you are trying to center everything on your own and your brand, there could be support too. The same holds for individuals selling content such as books or classes.
Obviously, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not think you need to decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely on their default funnel types. If you are a smaller company, alright with the price , and you have to produce your visitors work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to keep a better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is a place that is composed of a few nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but nevertheless sufficient. Their page has a collection of classes. It may be simple, however content-wise it isn’t too shabby. Click Funnels Supplement
As for the customer service that is direct, they’ve a feature within the dashboard after you log in, but I’m not too delighted by it. They’ve been useful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more complex questions, I’ve found them fairly unhelpful. With one HTML publishing query, they required to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not require that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS companies don’t provide that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. In cases when features haven’t worked when there were site malfunctions or as promised, customer support representatives were supposedly either unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, some of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only articles. He found they were unhelpful and apathetic when he contacted customer support. It may be a scenario, but it illustrates the point.
Total Support Rating
I would not say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I think that the team mostly understand that their solutions are not simple to use and/or involve tools fresh to their users, and they’ve put resources into their support to make it decent. At least basic questions will be answered, and they are fairly responsive. Perhaps consumers, myself included, would not state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it largely meets. Within this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the verdict that is overarching? It is fine! It is a legitimate contender in the advertising program area and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: If you need a more answer to your advertising needs with customization skills that are higher, you may want to check into third party choices you can tie. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with customer service representatives, or any glitches in the program. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering everything, I don’t think any of these outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone other advantages like templates that are superior, integrations that are strong, and the brief learning curve.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center objective–to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and reach higher conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be pretty useful for entrepreneurs that are less. I’m pretty certain that for the huge majority of users, choice is offered by the webpage builder. If you’re looking to get an sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. After all, it hasn’t reached its popularity on promises, and that I am giving it 4/5 stars.
