What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only 3 years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to market things online using otherwise complex marketing technologies, known as sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).

The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, but not just from ClickFunnels, but other advertising adventures. He played with email marketing for some time, and began to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets, two books and the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets his lovers rave that direct and about people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Click Funnels Squarespace

ClickFunnels started out as a way to help Brunson and his staff create funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would usually take months. But they soon realized their production would be useful to other people and had great potential as a product.

Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a process that takes people who don’t know you and turns them to clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps developed to direct a web site visitor.

There is a way of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you call internet traffic or website traffic. Your website visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, many of your visitors doesn’t turn into clients. In a physical shop, that is like people walking into your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so they leave the shop without purchasing anything. In a physical store, you can speak your customers into buying something. In a digital store, you could be a little more distant from the visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your customers’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel functions incremental, draw visitors in closer and closer until people end up in a page.

If you think that sounds cool, you’re correct –it has become a huge bargain for marketing. Russell Brunson didn’t just get rich by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it too.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I’ve got some good information: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is meant to save time and energy–to do what demands a whole lot of proficiency and/or an array of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making money for your user. They make it quite easy to produce your accounts, put up your content, and begin taking payments. Additionally, it’s pretty simple to select everything up–it’ll likely take you a few hours to find out a lot of what you need, maximum.

Drag and Drop Builder

A few features are extremely useful here. I like how easy it’s to replicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their page builder is a attribute, and they have pulled it. As soon as you get used to it, it’s an builder.

A/B testing

Built in A/B testing is great too. All you have to do is duplicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and pick the numbers of the visitors you want to see variant A or B.

Great selection of Integrations

I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations pretty well. Email autoresponders and payment chips aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to manage.

WordPress Plugin

You will also find a handy WordPress plugin that allows you insert ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress site. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle than working between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin , using over 20,000 active installations.

All in 1

Overall, it’s great to have things so centralized: I can construct my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and activate emails all from one platform.

All this really does save time and money, resources you’d otherwise have to spend on developers, CSShosting configurations, etc.

Reasonable Value

You may be sure that the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp accounts is really decent. If you have over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the full package may not be too much to ask. Click Funnels Squarespace

ClickFunnels isn’t perfect, but it does a great job of packaging good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they would have when they attempted to manage funnels another way.

Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review

I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it’s a number of areas that need work.

Overpriced?

A little drawback is the cost. There are just two pricing options, at $97 per month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not another investment in your organization, a huge drawback, and like I’ve said, you get a package for it.

Lackluster Client Support

Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with basic questions, but if you ask them more difficult things, especially about more advanced features, they will not be very beneficial.

Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Creator

This is not an objective criticism of their product but that I take a small issue with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is hard to escape the hype. They’ve a fantastic marketing for certain. However, from a user experience perspective, it can get obtrusive. When you sign up for the applications, you can try to look at the objective features of the software and incorporate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising methods.

This means you will end up purchasing online classes, publications, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and many articles is composed of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they made. Though these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they are more focused on earning quick cash rather than building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online courses, saturation of trainers and experts, along with other spammy internet marketer stuff.

So much of the item is tied into his brand and his philosophy, although we all know the founder is a marketing wizard. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything about it seems like an extension of Brunson’s platform.

Sometimes it’s hard not to get the sensation which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, especially when some aspects of their merchandise (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one is not on ClickFunnels but more on the neighborhood. As you’ve got the ability to personalize within ClickFunnels, many people use similar layouts. Taking into consideration the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a large quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks floating about. Diversity is vital.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels will return or encounter some errors. Though this doesn’t happen frequently, there is little you can do but wait patiently. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or forcing traffic to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a few hours, you may potentially lose a good deal of money.

It’s also difficult to know when your pages are working or not, if you don’t always wait or wait till you hear from angry clients. When I replicate webpages using the HTML printing alternative, barring bandwidth, I also deal with a few glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options alter, etcand it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.

I like consistency in my software, especially if it’s a business solution.

Too Straightforward

At length, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with personally: it is too simple, and too expensive because of its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to home improvement approaches that may be cheaper upfront and give more control over managing certain details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use bundle of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test out the support , so at least you don’t have to commit to a costly program right away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).

Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some would say , and that I could see why–especially in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which begins at $25 per month. But it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to make funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly good job. I consider it a fantastic investment.

The principal differences between an entry level account and a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the principal company, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the full list of features.

But, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split evaluations, and some other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite has a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack feature that allows you describe a product as a one time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, along with custom domain names; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Package, do not worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the following section of this ClickFunnels review.

To outline the differences, StartUp essentially conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two other services–Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels features. You are able to view the complete official list here.

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ attributes complete? I believe that they’re solid and you get whatever you want. They’re largely intuitive and supply you with a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are good examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them different segments. Click Funnels Squarespace

A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a feature a one.

If you duplicate a webpage and make changes to the backup, the divide test essentially enables you to choose what percentages of the visitors that you need to see per page, letting you examine conversion rates very handily. It’s quite easy to use and a function.

I also think ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for other settings, like your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among a few criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be simple to work with, I believed the basic features were pretty great.

There are quite a few types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented into different kinds of businesses, and you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch too.

Actionetics and Backpack

I have a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. In my view, Total Suite is just three products being packaged as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What is Actionetics? Well, it’s exactly what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complex. The main objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Along with Actionetics comes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to make managing an affiliate system simpler and more efficient.

But are such attributes, or products that are different? Actionetics seems somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to sell a iffy email auto-responder for me personally, but perhaps I’m just cynical. In any case, it gets Full Suite a little perplexing and removes the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.

Here is the Complete list of StartUp features
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • unlimited contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split tests
  • Mail integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All innovative funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Endless members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Order webpages
  • Upsell pages
  • Downsale pages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per type

You can view the complete list of features, along with Full Package features, here. If you are in a position where you can afford to try Etison for a little and you also absolutely require an efficient, simple method of increasing sales, I don’t believe you would wind up shorted. By that exact same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge advantage that you can not do without themfor most users, just StartUp will offer a comprehensive adequate package.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is probably ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wished to devote attention to it. In reality, I think a huge part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high score has to do with it turned into a really solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely for this particular landing page builder.

Anyway, there is rather an array of templates with good layouts, though as you can expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel type, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.

You might also save certain templates and make personal page templates, and it’s pretty simple to see them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings that are fundamental and open in the editor.

Once your pages open from the editor, you’ll basically be working using a drag and drop builder. It is a little more complex than some other mild page builders, but it’s still easy to use.

The editor uses a webpage structure with four main components: sections, rows, columns, and elements. Think of these components as fitting within each other (this informative article includes a helpful diagram). Basically: rows, columns, and elements go inside of sections. You can have multiple sections per page. Rows and columns go indoors sections, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you may have a row with one column, or up to four. Elements are the bits that go inside columns and make your page interactive.

It might sound complex, but it is pretty simple to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the choice is a mild green box because it’s a section, however if I was hovering over a component, it could be orange.

You could edit section, row, column, and so on, via the side bar. Parts of your webpage and all of the little details can be altered or moved. The template editor allows for plenty of customization, but provides control that is good also. You can do all sorts of things–cellular previews, edit colours, text, settings, and nearly anything you anticipate. If you are handy with code, you may even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I have heard (but do not have ) about the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you need to work within these rows and columns. I personally do not think this is a massive problem and the builder gives you sufficient hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
I like the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct kinds of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For instance, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are enrolled with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has quite a few notable partners you may enhance your integrations easily. Here’s a Complete list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Continuous Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations section, you can look for these or simply click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, just click on the one. Click Funnels Squarespace

The process for managing integrations is also straightforward, though you might have to look at your third party software’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. Overall, you’ll discover the process pretty straightforward. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than a few attributes, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very straightforward way of adding and handling integrations.

Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section different from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they are the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store won’t really be a lot of shop unless you are using a payment gateway.

A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Handling each of these integrations is pretty easy–so long as you’re all set up with whatever tool you are trying to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations normally run smoothly and you don’t need to fret much.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its simplicity of use–because their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’tech men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that allow the less experienced save money and time. That being the case, assessing ease of use is really significant.

Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you should still have some expertise.

Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For most people, I’d say that the learning curve could be only a couple hours max. Pick up the books mentioned previously in the review of Russell Brunson, if you are really behind.

Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a reasonable amount of documentation, and it might not be perfect, but it appears to me as if most queries must be covered, and you could always contact a customer service representative if it comes to it.

All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang of. The center features of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly simple to control. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate into all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or payment processors will want a bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it’s things you can determine by Googling about or seeing the docs centre.

Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it likely won’t be sufficient to significantly hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 at simplicity of use. It combines choice and customizability with convenience, and while I’d suggest all potential users enter with some basic technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.

Who is ClickFunnels for?

Who really stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (speaking from experience here) will get the most use out of it. There are variations in funnel types that appeal to some companies.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network marketing, and even those that offer B2B services would most likely be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does products or ventures. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those industries: for example, if you’re a gentleman, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a good method of marketing for you. If you are trying to center everything on your own and your brand, there would be good support also. The same goes for individuals selling content such as publications or classes.

Of course, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not think you should decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only on their default funnel types. If you’re a smaller company, alright with the price , and you have to produce your traffic work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anybody who would like to keep a much better landing page.

Client Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is sufficient, although only for SaaS companies. Their page includes a collection of categories. It may be simple, but it’s not too shabby. Click Funnels Squarespace

As once you log into for the customer service that is direct, they’ve a feature inside the dashboard, but I’m not overly delighted with it. They have generally been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more advanced questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing question, they took three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users won’t require that kind of support and to be honest, most SaaS companies don’t offer that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Additionally, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. In cases when attributes haven’t worked as promised or when there were site malfunctions, customer service representatives were supposedly either unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, a number of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. After he contacted customer support, he found they were unhelpful and apathetic. It illustrates the point, although it may be a scenario.

Overall Support Rating

I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel the team understand that their solutions are not easy to use and/or demand tools new to their users, and they have put resources in their support to make it decent. At least queries will be answered, and they are fairly responsive. Maybe consumers, myself included, would not say ClickFunnels has customer support, but it largely meets. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

What’s the verdict that is overarching? It is good! It’s a legitimate competitor in the marketing software space and worth trying out.

Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: Should you need a more answer to your marketing needs with customization abilities that are higher, you might want to look into third party options you can connect together. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with customer service representatives, or some glitches in the software. You could be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of these outweigh the solid landing page builder, let other positives such as solid integrations, the learning curve, and templates that are superior.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and reach higher conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be helpful for entrepreneurs that are less. I am pretty sure that for the majority of potential users, option is offered by the page builder. If you’re looking to get a simple but solid sales alternative or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. It has not attained its popularity on promises, and that’s why I am giving it 4/5 stars.
