What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only 3 years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using otherwise complex marketing technology, called sales funnels (more about those in a second).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous as his invention, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but other advertising adventures. He played around with email marketing for a while, and eventually started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets, two novels his lovers rave about and that guide people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Click Funnels Shopify
ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his staff create funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would usually take months. However, they soon realized their creation would be helpful to other people and had great potential as a commodity.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes individuals who do not understand you personally and turns them to clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of measures designed to guide a website visitor to the checkout page.
There is a method of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and rather than actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients you telephone internet traffic or website visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, many of your visitors still doesn’t turn . In a brick and mortar shop, that is like people walking into your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without buying anything. In a store, you can talk your customers into buying something. In a store that is digital, you could be a bit more distant from your visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your customers’ . The funnel works step-by-step, bring visitors in closer and closer until people wind up in a page.
You are correct if you think this sounds cool –it’s become a huge deal for advertising. Russell Brunson did not only get rich by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it too.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to help save time and energyto do what otherwise demands a lot of technological competence and/or a range of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making money. They make it easy to make your accounts, put your content up, and start taking payments. Additionally, it’s pretty simple to pick everything up–it will likely take you a couple hours to figure out a lot of what you require, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are very useful here. I like how easy it is to replicate pages, and also the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a attribute that is fairly important, and they’ve pulled it. It’s an builder once you become accustomed to it.
Built in A/B testing is great. All you have to do is duplicate a page, make your adjustments, and pick the amounts of your visitors that you want to see version A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to manage.
You will also find a handy WordPress plugin which allows you insert ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress site. It saves a lot of time and is a lot less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a strong 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin , using over 20,000 active installations.
All in 1
Overall, it’s great to have things so centralized: I can build my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.
All this really will save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to spend on programmers, CSShosting configurations, etc.
You can be sure that the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp accounts is really decent. In case you have over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the full suite may not be too much to ask. Click Funnels Shopify
ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a great job of packing good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they’d have when they tried to handle funnels another manner.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s quite a few areas that need work.
A small drawback is the cost. There are two pricing alternatives, at either $97 per month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t a drawback another investment in your organization, and like I have mentioned, you receive a package for this.
Lackluster Customer Support
Beyond this, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been fine with fundamental queries, but if you inquire harder things, particularly about more innovative features, they won’t be very beneficial.
Cult-like user base and applications also reliant on Creator
This isn’t an objective criticism of their merchandise but that I take a slight issue with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype. They have a marketing. But from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. Once you register for the software, you can try to look at the purpose features of the software and incorporate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be lost and made to learn Russell Brunson’s marketing procedures.
This usually means you’ll end up purchasing online courses, publications, attending seminars, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over members and most posts consists of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they made. Although these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they’re more concentrated on making quick cash instead of building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it has also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, on line classes, saturation of coaches and experts, along with other spammy online entrepreneurs stuff.
We know the creator is a marketing wizard, but so much of the item is tied to his brand and his philosophy. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it seems like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s hard not to get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, especially when some elements of the merchandise (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more about the neighborhood. As you have the ability to customize within ClickFunnels, many people use designs. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y seems. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or encounter some errors. Though this doesn’t happen often, there’s little you can do but wait. If you are investing a great deal in advertising or forcing visitors to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a few hours, you can potentially lose a good deal of money.
It’s also hard to know when your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t always check or wait till you hear from angry clients. When I clone pages using the HTML publishing option, barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options change, etcand it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring things out.
I enjoy consistency in my applications, especially if it’s a business alternative.
At length, a criticism I’ve heard but do not quite agree with personally: it’s too simple, and too pricey because of its simplicity. All these criticisms have a tendency to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that may be cheaper upfront and yield more control over managing specific details. But for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use bundle of resources, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test the service, in order you don’t have to commit to an expensive program right away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you receive two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).
Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some would say , and that I could see why–especially if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 a month. But it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to make funnels more effective, and it does a pretty great job. Personally, I consider it a good investment.
The principal differences between an entry level consideration and a premium account are as follows: StartUp gets the main service, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just some of the complete list of features.
However, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack feature which allows you describe a product as a one-time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your customers pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domain names; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Suite, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of this ClickFunnels review.
To outline the gaps, StartUp essentially conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Package, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone instrument ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You can view the full official list .
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ attributes overall? I think they’re strong and you get whatever you want. They are largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them separate segments. Click Funnels Shopify
A/B split testing is a feature, but unquestionably a one.
If you replicate a webpage and make changes to the copy, the divide test essentially enables you to choose what percentages of the traffic that you need to view per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It is quite easy to use and a fantastic function.
I also believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for different settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them restrictive (a common theme among some criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be simple to use, I believed the basic features were pretty good.
There are a number of types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to different kinds of companies, and you can of course build your own funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I’ll only have a minute within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Full Suite is just three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it’s exactly what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it is a little more complex. The chief objective of Actionetics is smart analytics which result in clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics comes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool designed to create managing an affiliate program simpler and more effective.
But are these features, or products that are separate? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to sell an iffy email auto-responder to me, but perhaps I’m just cynical. In any case, it gets Full Suite a bit confusing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.
Here’s the Complete list of StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- boundless contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split tests
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order webpages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per form
You may watch the complete list of features, together with complete Suite attributes, here. If you are in a situation where you can afford to try out Etison for a bit and you also absolutely need an efficient, easy way of increasing earnings, I do not think you would find yourself shorted. By that same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack provide such a massive advantage that you can’t do without them: for most users, simply StartUp will offer a thorough enough bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is probably ClickFunnels’ main attribute, so I wanted to devote special attention to it. In fact, I feel a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a top score has to do with it being a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its own funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this particular landing page builder.
Anyway, there’s quite a range of templates with great layouts, though as you can expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel kind, therefore poking around is not too hard.
You might even save certain templates and create personal page templates, and it is rather simple to find them. As you can see, it is possible to toggle with settings and open in the editor.
You will essentially be working with a drop and drag builder once your pages open from the editor. It is a little more complicated than some other light page builders, but it’s still user friendly.
The editor utilizes a page structure with four chief components: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Consider these parts as fitting inside each other (this article includes a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: rows, columns, and elements go inside of sections. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns go inside sections, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you may have a row with a single column, or around four. Elements are the lively bits that go inside columns and make your page interactive to its visitors.
It might sound complicated, but it is pretty easy to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for example, from the above screenshot, the selection is a light green box because it is a section, however when I had been hovering over a component, it would be orange.
A little criticism I have heard (but do not have ) on the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you have to work within these columns and rows. I personally do not think this is a massive issue and the builder provides you enough control without sacrificing ease of use, but it may be worth a mention.
I like the webpage builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you incorporate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different types of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For example, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has quite a few noteworthy partners you can add to your integrations. Here’s a Complete list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations section, you can look for these or simply click the search bar, and they will come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, just click the one you desire and add it. Click Funnels Shopify
The process for managing integrations is also straightforward, though you might need to check your third party software’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll discover the process pretty simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than a few attributes, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very straightforward method of adding and managing integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a part different from integrations. They might be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also what they sound like: they are the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be much of a store unless you are using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling each of these integrations is pretty simple –so long as you’re all set up with whatever tool you are attempting to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations usually operate smoothly and you don’t need to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its ease of use–because their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’tech men! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that allow the less experienced save time and money. That being the situation, evaluating ease of use is really significant.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you need to still have some experience.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For most people, I would say that the learning curve would be just a few hours max. Pick up the books mentioned earlier in the review of Russell Brunson, if you behind.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is unquestionably simpler than creating funnels all on your own. They have a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it seems to me like most queries should be covered, and you could always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.
All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang . The center characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or charge processors will require a bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it is stuff you’ll be able to figure out by Googling around or visiting the docs center.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it probably won’t be enough to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It combines choice and customizability with ease, and while I’d indicate all potential users input with some basic technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience here) will get the maximum use from it. There are variations in funnel types that appeal to some companies.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or community advertising, and those offering B2B services would most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does nicely with those offering more ventures that are individual or products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those businesses: for instance, if you are a gentleman, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you are attempting to center everything around yourself and your brand, there would be great support too. The same holds for individuals selling content such as publications or classes.
Of course, you can always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t think you should decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely on their default funnel kinds. If you are a smaller company, alright with the price , and you need to produce your traffic work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to keep a better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is a place which consists of some nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for getting decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is still adequate, although only for SaaS companies. Their page includes a series of classes, each with their own posts. Content-wise it isn’t too shabby, although it may be simple. Click Funnels Shopify
As the immediate customer service, they have a chat feature within the dashboard after you log in for, but I am not delighted with it. They have been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more advanced questions, I’ve found them fairly unhelpful. With one specific HTML publishing query, they required to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not need that kind of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t provide that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. In cases when attributes have not worked if there were site malfunctions or as promised, customer support representatives were supposedly unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, some of his customers were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. He discovered that they were unhelpful and apathetic when he contacted customer support. It illustrates the point, although it might be a scenario.
Overall Support Rating
I would not say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think that the team mostly understand that their solutions are not perfectly simple to use and/or demand tools new for their users, and they have put enough resources into their support to make it adequate. At least fundamental queries will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Perhaps users would not say ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the verdict that is overarching? It’s fine! It’s a legitimate competitor in the advertising program space and worth trying out.
Yeah, a few drawbacks are: If you want a more solution to your advertising needs with greater customization abilities, you may want to check into third party choices you’ll be able to tie. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with customer service representatives, or any glitches in the program. You could be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone advantages such as solid integrations, the short learning curve, and templates that are superior.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center goal –to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and attain conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be quite helpful for entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed that are less. I’m pretty certain that for the majority of potential users, the webpage builder provides enough option. If you’re looking for an sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a great tool. On promises, it has not attained its popularity after all, and that’s why I am giving 4/5 stars to it.
