ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just 3 years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet advertising industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using differently complex marketing technologies, known as sales funnels (more on those in a second).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, not just from ClickFunnels, but other marketing experiences. He played around with email marketing for some time, and eventually began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets two books, and Expert Secrets that his lovers rave about and that guide people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website . Click Funnels Revenue
ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his team produce funnels more rapidly for different ventures, as creating funnels would usually take months. They soon realized their creation would be useful to other people and had great potential as a commodity.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes individuals who do not understand you and turns them to clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of steps developed to direct a web site visitor to the checkout page.
There is a way of considering it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients you telephone internet traffic or website traffic. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn many of your visitors . In a physical store, that is like people walking in to your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without buying anything. In a physical store, you can speak your customers. In a shop, you may be a little more distant from the visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to appeal to your clients’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel works incremental, bring visitors in closer and closer till visitors wind up in a page.
You are correct if you think that sounds cool –it has turned into a huge deal for advertising. Russell Brunson didn’t just get wealthy by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to save you time and energy–to do exactly what demands a whole lot of competence and/or an array of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
Among the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on earning the user money. They make it put your content up simple to produce your account, and start taking payments. Plus, it is pretty easy to pick everything up–it’ll probably take you a few hours to find out a lot of what you require, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are extremely useful here. I enjoy how easy it is to duplicate pages, and also the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a feature that is fairly important, and they have pulled it. It’s an easy to use drag and drop builder once you become used to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is excellent too. All you have to do is replicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and choose the amounts of your traffic you wish to see version A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels handles API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to control.
You will also find a WordPress plugin that allows you add ClickFunnels webpages. It saves a good deal of time and is much less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin , using over 20,000 active installations.
All in one
In general, it is good to get things so centralized: I will build my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.
All of this really will save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to invest on programmers, CSShosting configurations, etc.
You can rest assured that the lower-tiered accounts is a good investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. In case you have over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the full suite may not be too much to ask. Click Funnels Revenue
ClickFunnels isn’t perfect, but it does a great job of packing great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a hassle they’d have when they tried to manage funnels another manner.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it’s a number of places that need work.
A little drawback is the price. There are just two alternatives, at either $97 a month or $297 per month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not just another investment in your organization a drawback, and like I have said, you receive a package for this.
Lackluster Client Support
Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with basic questions, but if you ask them harder things, particularly about more innovative features, they will not be very helpful.
Cult-like user base and software too reliant on Creator
This isn’t an objective criticism of their merchandise but I take a small issue with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is hard to escape the hype. They’ve a marketing. However, from a user experience perspective, it can acquire obtrusive. When you register for the applications, you can try to examine the purpose features of this software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and made to learn Russell Brunson’s marketing procedures.
This usually means you’ll end up buying online courses, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over members and posts is composed of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sport cars. Although these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they’re more focused on earning quick money rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online courses, saturation of coaches and specialists, along with other spammy online marketer stuff.
Much of this item is tied into his own brand and his philosophy, although Most of us know the creator is a marketing wizard. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it seems to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.
At times it’s hard not to get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when some aspects of the product (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels but more about the neighborhood. As you’ve got the ability to customize within ClickFunnels, many men and women use similar layouts. Taking into consideration the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large amount of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or encounter some errors. Though this doesn’t occur frequently, there’s little you can do but wait. If you are investing a lot in advertising or driving traffic to your own funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts your pages down for even a few hours, then you may potentially lose a good deal of cash.
In addition, it is hard to know if your pages are working or not, unless you always wait or wait until you hear from angry clients. When I clone pages using the HTML publishing alternative, barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options change, etcand it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.
I like consistency within my software, particularly if it’s a business solution.
Finally, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it’s too easy, and too pricey because of its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that may be more economical upfront and yield more control over managing certain details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an simple to use bundle of resources, I would not emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test the support , so at least you don’t need to commit to a costly program straight away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Package ).
Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some might say , and that I can see why–particularly in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that starts at $25 per month. However, it’s necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to make funnels more effective, and it does a pretty great job. I consider it a good investment.
The main differences between an entry level account along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the principal company, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the amount of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the full list of features.
However, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a full list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature which allows you describe a product as a one-time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with custom domains; priority support and template asks; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Total Suite, do not worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the subsequent section of the ClickFunnels review.
To outline the gaps, StartUp essentially conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels features. You can watch the full official list .
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ attributes overall? I think that they’re strong and you get whatever you need. They’re largely intuitive and supply you with a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are great examples of this and are very important functions, so I’ll be giving them different segments. Click Funnels Revenue
A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a smaller feature a one.
If you duplicate a webpage and also make changes to the copy, the divide test essentially lets you select what percentages of your visitors you need to see per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very handily. It is quite easy to use and a fantastic function.
In addition, I believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and straightforward for other settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be easy to use, I thought the basic features were fairly great.
There are quite a few types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented into several kinds of companies, and you can obviously build your personal funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I have a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. Full Suite is three products being packaged together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complicated. The main goal of Actionetics is smart analytics that result in clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics comes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to make managing an affiliate system easier and more efficient.
However, are these features, or products that are separate? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to market an iffy email auto-responder for me, but perhaps I am just cynical. In any case, it gets Full Suite a little confusing and eliminates the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.
Here’s the Complete list of StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- boundless contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split tests
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase webpages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 billing integration per form
You may view the complete list of features, along with complete Suite attributes, here. If you are in a position where you are able to afford to try Etison for a bit and you also absolutely need an efficient, easy way of increasing earnings, I don’t believe you would wind up shorted. By that exact same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge advantage that you can not do without them: for many users, just StartUp will offer a thorough adequate bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is probably ClickFunnels’ main attribute, so I wished to devote exclusive attention to it. In fact, I think a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a high score has to do with it turned into a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its own funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely for this landing page builder.
Anyhow, there is quite an array of templates with good designs, though as you may expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel kind, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.
You can also save certain templates and also create own page templates, and it’s rather simple to see them. You can toggle with fundamental settings and open in the editor as you can see.
Once your pages start in the editor, you will basically be working with a drop and drag builder. It’s a bit more complex than some other mild page builders, but it’s still user friendly.
The editor utilizes a webpage structure with four main parts: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Consider these components as fitting within each other (this informative article has a very helpful diagram). Basically: columns, rows, and elements go inside of segments. You can have multiple sections per page. Rows and columns go inside segments, but columns especially enter rows. This way you can have a row with a single column, or up to four. Elements are the dynamic bits that go within columns and also make your page interactive to its customers.
It may sound complicated, but it’s rather simple to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the selection is a light green box because it’s a section, however when I had been hovering over an element, it would be orange.
A small criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have personally) about the builder is how grid-like it is–you need to work within those columns and rows. Personally, I do not think this is a massive issue and the builder provides you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
Overall, I enjoy the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page quite easy, and it functions ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional advertising and marketing tools you integrate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of different types of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. For instance, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few partners you may add to your integrations easily. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations segment, you can look for these or just click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click on the one you want and add it. Click Funnels Revenue
The procedure for managing integrations is also straightforward, though you might have to look at your third party software’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. Overall, you’ll find the process simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some features, such as the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have an extremely simple way of incorporating and managing integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section separate from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways will also be the things they sound like: they are the integrations that allow your clients to pay for your stuff. Your store won’t really be a lot of shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing each of these integrations is pretty easy–as long as you are all set up with whatever tool you’re trying to integrate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations run smoothly and you do not need to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important sell is its ease of usage –as their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’tech guys! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that enable the less experienced to save money and time. That being the situation, evaluating ease of use is pretty significant.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some expertise.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it may be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I’d say the learning curve could be only a couple hours maximum. If you behind, pick up Russell Brunson’s books mentioned earlier in the review.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be ideal, but it appears to me as if most questions should be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.
All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang of. The center features of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate into all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations involving email integrations or payment processors will want a bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere near the quantity of knowledge you would have to actually code the funnels–it is things you can determine by Googling about or visiting the docs center.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it is overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it likely will not be enough to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at ease of use. It combines choice and customizability with ease, and while I’d suggest all prospective users input with a few simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience ) will find the maximum use out of it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some companies over others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and those offering B2B services will most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does nicely with people offering more ventures that are independent or products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those businesses: for example, if you’re a gentleman, you might come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you are attempting to center everything there could be support too. The same goes for people selling content such as courses or publications.
Of course, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not think you need to decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based purely in their default funnel kinds. If you are a smaller business, okay with the price , and you need to make your visitors work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anyone who wants to maintain a better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is nevertheless sufficient, although barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their page has a collection of categories. It might be easy, however content-wise it’s not too shabby. Click Funnels Revenue
As for the customer service, they have a feature inside the dashboard once you log into, but I’m not overly pleased by it. They have generally been useful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more complex questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing query, they took three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t require that sort of support and to be honest SaaS companies don’t provide that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Additionally, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. Notably, in cases when features haven’t worked if there were site malfunctions or as promised, customer support reps were either unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, a number of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only articles. When he contacted customer service, he found they were unhelpful. It might be a scenario, however it illustrates the point.
Total Support Rating
I would not say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I feel the team understand that their services are not perfectly simple to use and/or demand tools new for their users, and they’ve put resources into their support to make it decent. At least basic queries will be answered, and they are pretty responsive. Perhaps most consumers would not say ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it meets a bare minimum that makes it at least great enough. In this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the overarching conclusion? It is good–4 out of 5 stars! It is a legitimate contender in the advertising software space and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: Should you need a more solution to your advertising needs with customization skills, you may want to check into third party choices you can connect together. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or some glitches in the program. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering everything, I do not think any of these outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone positives such as solid integrations, the short learning curve, and templates that are superior.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core goal –to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and attain higher conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be pretty useful for significantly less entrepreneurs. I am pretty sure that for the majority of prospective users, option is offered by the webpage builder. If you are looking to get an easy but powerful sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. On promises, it has not attained its popularity In the end, and that is why I am giving 4/5 stars to it.
