What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just three years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to market things online using otherwise complex marketing technologies, known as sales funnels (more on those in a second).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, but not just from ClickFunnels, but other marketing adventures. He played with email advertising for a while, and eventually started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets and the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets that his fans rave about and that direct people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Click Funnels Perfect Webinar
ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his team produce funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would normally take weeks. They soon realized their production would be helpful to others and had good potential as a product.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes people who don’t know you personally and turns them into clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of measures developed to guide a web site visitor into the checkout page.
There’s a method of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients you call internet traffic or site traffic. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors still doesn’t turn into clients. In a brick and mortar shop, that is like people walking into your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so they leave the store without buying anything. You can speak your clients. In a shop, you could be a bit more remote from your visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to appeal to your clients’ through principles of psychology. The funnel functions incremental, draw traffic in closer and closer till visitors wind up in a payment page.
You’re right if you think this sounds cool –it has turned into a huge bargain for online advertising. Russell Brunson did get wealthy by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it as well.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to help save you time and energy–to do exactly what demands a lot of competence and/or an array of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making the user money. They make it put your content up, very simple to make your account, and start taking payments. Plus, it is rather simple to pick everything up–it’ll probably take you a few hours to find out most of what you need, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are very useful here. I enjoy how simple it’s to replicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a feature that is fairly important, and they’ve pulled it. It’s an simple to use drag and drop builder, As soon as you get accustomed to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is great. All you have to do is replicate a webpage, make your changes, and choose the amounts of your visitors you wish to view version A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment chips are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to manage.
You will also find a WordPress plugin which allows you insert ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress website. It saves a good deal of time and is much less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a solid 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active setups.
All in 1
Overall, it’s good to get things so concentrated: I can build my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from one platform.
All of this really will save time and money, resources you would otherwise need to invest on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.
You can be sure the lower-tiered accounts is a good investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. If you’ve got more than 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the complete package might not be too much to ask. Click Funnels Perfect Webinar
ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a great job of packaging great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they would have if they tried to handle funnels another way.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s a number of areas that require work.
A drawback is the price. There are just two pricing options, at either $97 per month or $297 per month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not another investment in your business a massive drawback, and like I’ve said, you get a fantastic package for this.
Lackluster Customer Service
Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been fine with fundamental queries, but if you ask them more difficult things, particularly about more innovative features, they will not be quite beneficial.
Cult-like user base and applications also reliant on Founder
This isn’t an objective criticism of the merchandise but that I take a small problem with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a marketing for sure. But from a user experience perspective, it can get obtrusive. Once you register for the applications, you may attempt to look at the objective features of this software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’re going to be lost and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s marketing methods.
This means you will end up buying online courses, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and articles is composed of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they created. Although these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they are more concentrated on earning quick money instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do good things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online courses, saturation of coaches and specialists, and other spammy online marketer stuff.
We all know the creator is a marketing magician, but much of the item is tied to his brand and his doctrine. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything about it looks like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s difficult to not get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when some aspects of the merchandise (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more on the neighborhood. While you have the ability to customize extensively within ClickFunnels, a lot of people use similar designs. Taking into consideration the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y seems. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels encounter some errors or will go down. Though this really doesn’t occur often, there is little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or forcing visitors to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a couple of hours, you may potentially lose a lot of cash.
In addition, it is difficult to know when your pages are working or not, if you don’t always wait or wait till you hear from angry customers. When I clone pages using the HTML printing option, barring uptime, I deal with a few glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing choices change, etcand it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.
I like consistency in my applications if it’s a business alternative.
Finally, a criticism I’ve heard but do not quite agree with : it’s too simple, and too expensive for its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that can be cheaper upfront and yield more control over managing certain details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use bundle of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test the support , in order you do not have to commit to an expensive program right away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).
Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some might say , and that I could see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which begins at $25 per month. However, it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a pretty good job. Personally, I consider it a fantastic investment.
The main differences between an entry level account and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the principal service, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the full list of features.
However, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split evaluations, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality which lets you describe a product as a one time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your customers cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domain names; priority support and template asks; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Total Suite, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the subsequent section of the ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the gaps, StartUp essentially carries the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two other providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels features. You can watch the complete official list here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I believe they’re strong and you get whatever you need. They are largely intuitive and supply you with a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are all great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them different segments. Click Funnels Perfect Webinar
A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a feature a noteworthy one.
If you replicate a page and make changes to the backup, the divide test essentially enables you to select what percentages of the traffic that you need to see per page, letting you test conversion rates very conveniently. It’s a function and very simple to use.
I also believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for other settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be simple to use, I believed the basic features were pretty good.
There are quite a few kinds of available pre-made funnels, oriented to different types of companies, and you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I’ll just have a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Total Suite is three products being packaged together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it is a little more complicated. The main goal of Actionetics is smart analytics that result in clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics comes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool supposed to create managing an affiliate program simpler and more effective.
However, are products that are different, or such features? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to sell a iffy email auto-responder for me, but maybe I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Full Suite a little perplexing and removes the coherency you get with the original ClickFunnels.
Here’s the full list of StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 visitors
- unlimited contacts

You can watch the complete list of features, together with Full Suite features, here. If you are in a situation where you can manage to try Etison for a bit and you also absolutely need an efficient, easy way of increasing sales, I don’t think you’d find yourself shorted. By that exact same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge benefit that you can not do without themfor most users, just StartUp will provide a comprehensive adequate bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is probably ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wished to devote special attention to it. In reality, I think a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high score has to do with it turned into a really solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction applications and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it largely with this landing page builder.
Anyhow, there is rather an array of templates with good designs, though as you may expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel kind, therefore poking around is not too hard.
You can also save certain templates and create personal page templates, and it is pretty easy to find them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings and open in the editor.
Once you open your pages you be working using a drag and drop builder. It is a little more complex than some other light page builders, but it is still easy to use.
The editor utilizes a page structure with four chief parts: sections, columns, rows, and components. Consider these parts as fitting inside each other (this article includes a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: elements, columns, and rows go inside of sections. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns move inside sections, but columns especially go into rows. This way you may have a row with a single column, or up to four. Elements are the dynamic bits that also make your page interactive and go inside columns.
It might sound complicated, but it is pretty easy to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the choice is a mild green box since it is a part, however if I had been hovering over a component, it would be orange.
A little criticism I’ve heard (but do not have personally) on the builder is the way grid-like it is–you need to work within these columns and rows. I personally don’t believe this is a massive problem and the builder gives you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
In general, I enjoy the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional advertising and marketing tools you incorporate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct types of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For example, you might add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you’re enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few noteworthy partners you can add to your integrations. Here’s a full list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations segment, you can look for these or simply click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click the one. Click Funnels Perfect Webinar
The procedure for handling integrations is also simple, though you may have to check your third party program’s documentation to discover exactly what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the procedure straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some features, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very simple method of incorporating and managing integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other applications platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a part different from integrations. They may be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also what they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop will not really be much of a store unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing each these integrations is fairly easy–as long as you are all set up using whatever tool you are trying to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations usually operate and you don’t have to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its ease of usage –because their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’tech men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools which enable the less experienced save time and money. That being the case, evaluating ease of use is pretty important.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you need to still have some experience.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it may be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For most people, I’d say the learning curve could be just a couple hours max. Pick up the books mentioned previously in the review of Russell Brunson if you behind.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is unquestionably simpler than creating funnels on your own. They have a reasonable amount of documentation, and it might not be ideal, but it seems to me as if most questions should be covered, and you could always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.
All that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or charge processors will want a bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it is things you’ll be able to determine by Googling about or visiting the docs center.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it is overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it likely won’t be sufficient to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It combines choice and customizability with convenience, and while I would suggest all prospective users enter with a few simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (talking from experience ) will get the maximum use from it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a companies more than others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and even those that offer B2B services would probably be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does nicely with those offering more individual ventures or products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards these industries: for instance, if you are a florist, you might come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic method of marketing for you. If you are attempting to center everything there would be support also. The same goes for individuals selling content such as classes or publications.
Obviously, you could always start from a blank funnel, and I do not think you should determine if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely in their default funnel types. If you are a smaller business, okay with the price , and you have to make your visitors work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anybody who would like to keep a better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area that consists of some nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but nevertheless adequate. Their page has a series of categories. Content-wise it isn’t too shabby, although it might be simple. Click Funnels Perfect Webinar
As once you log in for the customer service, they have a feature inside the dashboard, but I’m not pleased by it. They have generally been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more complex questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one HTML publishing query, they took to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t require that sort of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t provide that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. Notably, in instances when attributes have not worked as promised or when there were bizarre site malfunctions, client service reps were supposedly unhelpful or unresponsive. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, because of site error, a number of his clients were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. After he contacted customer support, he found they were unhelpful and apathetic. It may be a unlikely scenario, but it illustrates the point.
Total Support Rating
I would not state ClickFunnels fails in client support–I feel that the team mostly understand that their services are not simple to use and/or demand tools new to their users, and they have put enough resources in their support to make it adequate. At least basic questions will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Perhaps most users wouldn’t state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the verdict that is overarching? It’s good–4 out of 5 stars! It is a legitimate competitor in the advertising software area and worth trying out.
Yeah, a couple drawbacks are: If you need a more hands-on solution to your advertising needs with greater customization abilities, you might want to check. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself and end up dealing with customer service agents, or any glitches in the program. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone advantages like the short learning curveintegrations, and templates.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and attain higher conversion rates. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be useful for significantly less entrepreneurs. I’m pretty sure that for the vast majority of potential users, the page builder offers enough choice. If you’re looking first and foremost for an easy but powerful sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. It hasn’t reached its popularity on promises, and that I am giving 4/5 stars to it.
