What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in only 3 years it has been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using otherwise complex marketing technologies, known as sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous as his creation, and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but advertising experiences. He played with email advertising for a while, and began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets two books, and Secrets that his fans rave that guide and about people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website . Click Funnels Not Accepting My Credit Card
ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his staff produce funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would normally take months. But they had good potential as a product and soon realized their production would be helpful to other people.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes people who do not understand you and turns them to customers, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps developed to direct a web site visitor into the checkout page.
There is a method of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients you call internet traffic or website visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors into clients. In a brick and mortar shop, that’s like people walking into your shop but not knowing where the cash register is, so they leave the shop without buying anything. You can talk your clients. In a digital store, you may be a bit more remote from the visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to attract your customers’ . The funnel functions step-by-step, bring traffic in closer and closer till people wind up at a payment page.
If you think that sounds cool, you are correct –it’s become a huge deal for online marketing. Russell Brunson did become rich by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it too.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to save time and energyto do what otherwise requires a whole lot of competence and/or a range of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making money. They make it put your content up, simple to make your account, and begin taking payments. Plus, it’s pretty simple to select everything up–it’ll likely take you a few hours to find out a lot of what you need, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are very useful here. I like how easy it’s to duplicate pages, and also the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a pretty important feature, and they’ve pulled it. As soon as you get used to it, it is an builder.
Constructed in A/B testing is excellent. All you have to do is replicate a webpage, make your changes, and choose the amounts of the traffic you want to view version A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels handles API integrations nicely. Email autoresponders and payment chips are not too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are easy to control.
You will also find a WordPress plugin which lets you insert ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress website. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle than functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active installations.
All in 1
Overall, it is good to have things so centralized: I can build my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.
All this really will save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise have to invest on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.
You may be sure the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp accounts is really decent. If you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the full package may not be too much to ask. Click Funnels Not Accepting My Credit Card
ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packaging great tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a hassle they’d have when they tried to manage funnels another manner.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s a number of areas that need work.
A small drawback is the cost. There are two options, at either $97 a month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t another investment in your organization a drawback, and like I’ve mentioned, you get a fantastic package for this.
Lackluster Client Service
Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with fundamental questions, but if you inquire harder things, particularly about more innovative features, they won’t be very beneficial.
Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Founder
This is not an objective criticism of the product but I take a slight issue with their marketing that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a marketing. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you sign up for the software, you can try to look at the purpose features of this software and integrate it into your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s marketing procedures.
This means you will end up buying online courses, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and most posts consists of people bragging about how much money they created and flashing their sports cars. Although these numbers are real, the consumers provide an impression that they are more concentrated on making quick cash instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online classes, saturation of coaches and specialists, and other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.
A lot of this product is tied to his doctrine and his brand, although we all know the founder is a marketing magician. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it looks to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.
At times it’s difficult not to get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when a few elements of the merchandise (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more about the community. While you’ve got the capability to customize within ClickFunnels, many people use layouts. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a large quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels encounter some errors or will go down. Though this really doesn’t happen often, there’s little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or forcing visitors to your own funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a few hours, then you may potentially lose a good deal of money.
It’s also difficult to know if your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t always wait or wait until you hear from angry clients. Barring uptime, I deal with a few glitches when I replicate webpages using the HTML printing option.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing choices change, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.
I like consistency within my software, particularly if it is a business alternative.
At length, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with : it’s too easy, and too expensive for its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that may be cheaper upfront and give more control over handling certain details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use bundle of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and Full Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month and Etison comes at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test out the support , so at least you do not need to commit to an expensive program straight away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Package ).
Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some would say , and that I can see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which starts at $25 a month. However, it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to make funnels more effective, and it does a fairly great job. Personally, I consider it a fantastic investment.
The main differences between an entry level account and a premium account are as follows: StartUp gets the principal service, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the full list of features.
However, both programs have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split tests, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack feature that allows you describe a product as a one-time payment merchandise for your payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your customers cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and custom domains; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Full Suite, do not worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the section of this ClickFunnels review.
To outline the differences, StartUp essentially conveys the core feature of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation instrument ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You can view the full official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I believe they’re solid and you get everything you need. They are largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are good examples of this and are very important functions, so I’ll be giving them different sections. Click Funnels Not Accepting My Credit Card
A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a feature a notable one.
If you replicate a webpage and also make changes to the copy, the split test basically enables you to choose what percentages of your traffic that you need to see per page, letting you examine conversion rates very handily. It’s simple to use and a function.
In addition, I believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for other settings, like your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a common theme among a few criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be simple to work with, I thought the fundamental features were pretty great.
There are quite a few types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented into several kinds of businesses, and you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I take a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Full Suite is just three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complicated. The chief goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics comes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool designed to make managing an affiliate program easier and more effective.
But are products, or these attributes? Actionetics seems somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to market a iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but maybe I’m just cynical. In any case, it gets Full Suite a little confusing and removes the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.
Here is the full list of StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- boundless contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members

- Purchase webpages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale pages
- Share your funnels

You may view the full list of features, along with Full Suite features, here. If you are in a position where you are able to afford to try Etison for a bit and you absolutely need an efficient, easy method of increasing earnings, I do not think you would find yourself shorted. By that exact same token, I don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge benefit that you can not do without them: for many users, just StartUp will provide a comprehensive adequate bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wished to devote attention. In fact, I feel a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it being a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this landing page builder.
Anyhow, there’s rather a range of templates with good layouts, however as you may expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel kind, therefore poking around is not too hard.
You might also save certain templates and make own page templates, and it is pretty easy to find them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings that are basic and open in the editor.
You be working using a drag and drop builder When your pages open from the editor. It is a little more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it’s still user friendly.
The editor utilizes a page structure with four chief components: sections, rows, columns, and elements. Consider these components as fitting within every other (this informative article includes a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: components, columns, and rows go inside of segments. You can have several sections per page. Rows and columns go inside segments, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you may have up to four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the lively bits that go columns and also make your page interactive.
It may sound complex, but it’s pretty simple to get the hang . Everything is color-coded–for example, in the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box because it is a part, but if I had been hovering over an element, it would be orange.
A small criticism I’ve heard (but do not have personally) on the builder is the way grid-like it is–you need to work within these rows and columns. Personally, I don’t think this is a huge problem and the builder provides you enough hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
I enjoy the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other advertising and marketing tools you incorporate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different types of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. By way of example, you may add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you’re registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few noteworthy partners you can add to your integrations easily. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations section, you can look for these or just click the search bar, and they will come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, just click on the one. Click Funnels Not Accepting My Credit Card
The process for managing integrations is also simple, though you may have to look at your third party software’s documentation to discover exactly what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the procedure straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some features, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely simple way of adding and handling integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get integrated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part different from integrations. They might be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your clients to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be a lot of shop unless you are using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing all these integrations is fairly easy–as long as you’re all set up with whatever tool you are trying to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations usually operate smoothly and you do not have to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ main market is its ease of use–because their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’tech guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the main ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools that allow the less experienced to save time and money. That being the case, evaluating ease of use is really important.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you need to still have some expertise.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it may be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I would say that the learning curve would be only a few hours max. If you behind, pick up the books mentioned earlier in the critique of Russell Brunson.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is unquestionably easier than creating funnels on your own. They have a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it seems to me like most questions must be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.
All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang of. The core features of ClickFunnels–the actual funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate into all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations involving email integrations or payment processors will require a little bit of understanding, but it is nowhere near the amount of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it is stuff you’ll be able to figure out by Googling around or visiting the docs centre.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it is overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it probably will not be sufficient to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It unites choice and customizability with convenience, and while I would indicate all potential users input with a few simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (speaking from experience ) will find the maximum use out of it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some businesses over others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and even those that offer B2B services will most likely be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does well with people offering more products or ventures that are independent. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards these industries: for example, if you are a florist, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a good way of marketing for you. If you are attempting to center everything on your own and your brand, there would be good support also. The same goes for individuals selling content such as books or courses.
Obviously, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I don’t think you need to determine if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based purely on their default funnel kinds. If you are a smaller company, alright with the price tag, and you need to produce your traffic work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your time or money with ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anybody who wants to keep a better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is sufficient, although only barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their docs page includes a collection of categories. It may be simple, but content-wise it’s not too shabby. Click Funnels Not Accepting My Credit Card
As once you log into for the customer service, they have a feature inside the dashboard, but I am not overly pleased by it. They have been useful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more advanced questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they required to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t require that kind of support and to be honest, most SaaS businesses don’t offer that degree of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Furthermore, I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. Notably, in cases when attributes have not worked as promised or if there were weird site malfunctions, customer support representatives were allegedly unhelpful or unresponsive. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, a number of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only content. When he contacted customer support, he found that they were unhelpful and apathetic. It may be a situation that is weird, unlikely, however it illustrates the point.
Overall Support Rating
I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I feel the team largely understand that their services are not absolutely easy to use and/or demand tools new to their customers, and they’ve put enough resources in their support to make it adequate. At least fundamental questions will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Most users, myself included, would not state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it mostly meets a bare minimum that makes it at least good. Within this category, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the overarching conclusion? It is fine –4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate contender in the advertising software area and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a few drawbacks: you might want to check Should you need a more hands-on solution to your advertising needs with greater customization skills. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself and end up dealing with customer service representatives, or some glitches in the software. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of these outweigh the solid landing page builder, let other positives like templates that are superior, integrations that are strong, and the brief learning curve.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center objective–to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and attain higher conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be quite helpful for significantly less entrepreneurs. I am pretty sure that for the huge majority of users, choice is offered by the page builder. If you’re looking first and foremost to get a simple but powerful sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a great tool. In the end, it has not reached its popularity on promises, and that’s why I am giving it 4/5 stars.
