What’s ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only three years it has been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using differently complex advertising technologies, known as sales funnels (more about those in a second).

The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but marketing adventures. He played with email marketing for a while, and eventually started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets and Secrets that his fans rave about and that direct people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website Click Funnels Mini Manifesto

ClickFunnels started out as a way to help Brunson and his team create funnels more quickly for different ventures, as creating funnels would normally take months. They had great potential as a commodity and soon realized their production would be helpful to others.

Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes individuals who don’t know you and turns them to clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps developed to direct a website visitor into the checkout page.

There’s a way of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients you telephone web traffic or website traffic. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, that doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors into customers. In a brick and mortar store, that’s like people walking in to your shop but not knowing where the cash register is, so they leave the store without purchasing anything. You can talk your customers into buying something. In a shop, you may be a little more remote from your visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your clients’ . The funnel functions step-by-step, draw visitors in closer and closer until people wind up in a payment page.

You’re right, if you think that sounds cool –it’s become a huge deal for marketing. Russell Brunson did become wealthy by promoting ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I have got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to help save time and energyto do exactly what requires a lot of competence and/or a range of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Money

One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making money. They make it put your content up very simple to make your account, and start taking payments. Plus, it is pretty easy to select everything up–it will probably take you a couple hours to find out a lot of what you require, max.

Drag and Drop Builder

A few features are very useful here. I enjoy how easy it is to duplicate pages, and the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their webpage builder is a attribute, and they have pulled it. It’s an builder As soon as you get accustomed to it.

A/B testing

Built in A/B testing is excellent. All you have to do is duplicate a page, make your adjustments, and choose the amounts of the traffic that you wish to see version A or B.

Great Choice of Integrations

I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to control.

WordPress Plugin

You will also find a useful WordPress plugin which lets you add ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress website. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin , using over 20,000 active setups.

All in 1

Overall, it is good to get things so concentrated: I can build my landing pages, create forms and purchase forms, and activate emails all from one platform.

All this really will save time and money, resources you would otherwise have to invest on developers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.

Reasonable Worth

You can rest assured that the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you’re allowed for a StartUp account is pretty decent. If you have more than 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the full package might not be too much to ask. Click Funnels Mini Manifesto

ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packing good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they’d have when they tried to manage funnels another manner.

Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review

I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it has a number of areas that need work.

A drawback is the cost. There are two options, at $97 per month or $297 per month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not just another investment in your organization, a massive drawback, and like I’ve mentioned, you receive a package for it.

Lackluster Customer Support

Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with fundamental questions, but if you inquire harder things, particularly about more advanced features, they will not be quite beneficial.

Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Creator

This is not an objective criticism of their merchandise but that I take a small issue with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They’ve a advertising for certain. However, from a user experience perspective, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you sign up for the applications, you can try to examine the objective features of this software and incorporate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and made to learn Russell Brunson’s marketing procedures.

This means you will end up buying online classes, publications, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and many articles consists of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sports cars. Though these numbers are real, the users provide an impression that they are more concentrated on making quick money instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line classes, saturation of trainers and specialists, and other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.

A lot of this product is tied to his doctrine and his own brand, although Most of us know the founder is a marketing magician. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it seems to be an extension of Brunson’s platform.

At times it’s hard not to get the sensation which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when some elements of the merchandise (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one is not on ClickFunnels but more about the community. As you have the capability to personalize within ClickFunnels, many people use similar layouts. Taking into consideration the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks floating around. Diversity is important.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels encounter some mistakes or will return. Though this really doesn’t occur frequently, there is little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or driving visitors to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a couple of hours, then you can potentially lose a lot of cash.

In addition, it is difficult to know if your pages are working or not, if you don’t constantly check or wait until you hear from angry clients. Barring uptime, I deal with some glitches when I replicate webpages using the HTML publishing option.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices alter, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels is still figuring out things.

I enjoy consistency within my applications, particularly if it is a business alternative.

Too Straightforward

Finally, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it is too simple, and too expensive because of its simplicity. All these criticisms have a tendency to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that can be more economical upfront and yield more control over managing certain details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an easy to use package of tools, I would not emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, rather called ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test out the support , so at least you do not have to commit to a costly program right away. If you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).

Nonetheless, a bit huh? Well, some might say so, and that I can see why–particularly in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 per month. But it’s necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a fairly great job. I consider it a fantastic investment.

The principal differences between an entry level consideration along with a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the principal company, the funnel-builder, with some limitations on the amount of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the complete list of features.

But, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B divide tests, and a few other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature that lets you describe a product as a one time payment merchandise for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time payments, this allows your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, along with custom domains; priority support and template asks; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.

If you are confused with Etison/ Full Suite, don’t worry, it is confusing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the following section of this ClickFunnels review.

To outline the differences, StartUp basically conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two other services–Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You can view the full official record .

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ features overall? I believe that they’re solid and you get whatever you need. They’re largely intuitive and supply you with a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all good examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them separate segments. Click Funnels Mini Manifesto

A/B split testing is unquestionably, although a smaller feature a one.

If you duplicate a page and make changes to the copy, the divide test essentially lets you select what percentages of the visitors that you need to see per page, letting you examine conversion rates very handily. It’s a function and quite easy to use.

In addition, I believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for other settings, such as your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a common theme among some criticisms), but as the service is supposed to be simple to work with, I believed the basic features were pretty good.

There are a number of types of available pre-made funnels, oriented into different types of companies, and you can of course build your own funnel from scratch too.

Actionetics and Backpack

I will only have a minute within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Full Suite is three products being packaged together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What is Actionetics? Well, it’s what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complicated. The chief goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool supposed to create managing an affiliate system easier and more efficient.

But are products that are separate, or such attributes? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to market a iffy email auto-responder for me, but maybe I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Full Suite a bit confusing and eliminates the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.

Here’s the Complete list of StartUp attributes
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • unlimited contacts
  • 3 habit domains
  • A/B split evaluations
  • Email integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All innovative funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Endless members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Order pages
  • Upsell webpages
  • Downsale webpages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per form

You may watch the full list of features, along with complete Package attributes, here. If you are in a position where you are able to afford to try out Etison for a little and you absolutely require an efficient, easy method of increasing earnings, I don’t think you’d wind up shorted. By that same token, I don’t think Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge benefit that you can’t do without them: for many users, simply StartUp will offer a comprehensive enough bundle.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is likely ClickFunnels’ most important attribute, so I wanted to devote attention to it. In reality, I think a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it being a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its own funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it mostly for this landing page builder.

Anyhow, there’s quite a range of templates with great designs, though as you may expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are coordinated by funnel kind, therefore poking around is not too hard.

You might also save certain templates and create own page templates, and it is pretty simple to find them. As you can see, you open in the editor and can toggle with fundamental settings.

Once your pages open in the editor, you be working with a drag and drop builder. It’s a little more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it’s still easy to use.

The editor uses a webpage structure with four chief parts: sections, rows, columns, and components. Consider these parts as fitting inside each other (this informative article includes a very helpful diagram). Basically: rows, columns, and elements go inside of sections. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns go inside sections, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you can have a row with one column, or up to four. Elements are the lively bits that go within columns and make your page interactive to its visitors.

It may sound complicated, but it’s pretty easy to get the hang . Everything is color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box since it’s a section, but if I had been hovering over an element, it would be orange.

You could edit by section, row, column, etc, via the side bar. All the details and parts of your webpage can be altered or moved. The editor allows for lots of customization, but offers control too. You can do a variety of things–cellular previews, edit colors, text, configurations, and just about anything you expect. If you’re handy with code, then you can even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A little criticism I’ve heard (but do not have personally) on the builder is the way grid-like it is–you need to work within those columns and rows. Personally, I do not think this is a huge problem and the builder provides you enough control without sacrificing ease of use, but it may be worth a mention.
In general, I like the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it functions ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money on the web.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like advertising and marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different kinds of integrations you can enhance your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For example, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are enrolled with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few noteworthy partners you may enhance your integrations. Here’s a Complete list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations section, you can search for these or simply click the search bar, and they will come up. It, simply click on the one. Click Funnels Mini Manifesto

The process for managing integrations can also be straightforward, though you might need to look at your third party program’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll find the procedure pretty simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some features, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very simple way of adding and managing integrations.

Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get integrated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section different from integrations. They might be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways will also be the things they sound like: they are the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop will not really be much of a store unless you are using a payment gateway.

A listing of the payment gateways you can add:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Handling each of these integrations is pretty simple –as long as you are all set up with whatever tool you’re attempting to incorporate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations operate smoothly and you do not need to fret much about them.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ most important sell is its simplicity of use–because their advertisement says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology men! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which enable the less experienced to save money and time. That being the situation, evaluating ease of usage is pretty important.

Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some experience.

Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I would say the learning curve could be just a few hours max. Pick up the books mentioned in the critique of Russell Brunson if you behind.

Anyhow, ClickFunnels is unquestionably easier than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it might not be ideal, but it appears to me as if most queries should be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.

All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or charge processors will require a bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it’s stuff you’ll be able to determine by Googling around or seeing the docs center.

Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it’s overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things often, but it likely won’t be enough to significantly hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It unites alternative and customizability with convenience, and while I would indicate all potential users enter with some simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.

Who’s ClickFunnels for?

Who really stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (speaking from experience here) will find the most use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some businesses.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and those offering B2B services will most likely be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does nicely with people offering more ventures that are independent or products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards these industries: for instance, if you are a florist, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a good way of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything on your own and your brand, there could be support also. The same holds for individuals selling content like courses or books.

Obviously, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not think you should determine if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only in their default funnel types. If you are a smaller business, alright with the price tag, and you need to make your visitors work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anybody who would like to maintain a much better landing page.

Client Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is adequate, although just for SaaS companies. Their docs page includes a series of classes, each with their own articles. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it may be simple. Click Funnels Mini Manifesto

As the customer assistance, they’ve a chat feature within the dashboard once you log into for, but I’m not overly pleased by it. They have been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I have had more advanced questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing question, they required to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t need that kind of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t offer that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Additionally, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. Notably, in cases when attributes have not worked as promised or when there were bizarre site malfunctions, client service reps were supposedly unhelpful or unresponsive. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, a number of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only articles. He found they were unhelpful and apathetic After he contacted customer service. It may be a scenario, but it illustrates the point.

Overall Support Rating

I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I think that the team largely understand that their services are not absolutely easy to use and/or involve tools new to their customers, and they’ve put enough resources in their support to make it adequate. At least queries will be answered, and they are fairly responsive. Most consumers, myself included, would not say ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it meets a bare minimum which makes it. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

So, what’s the overarching verdict? It’s good–4 out of 5 stars! It is a legitimate competitor in the advertising software space and worth trying out.

Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: Should you want a more solution to your marketing needs with customization abilities, you might want to look. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service agents, or any glitches in the software. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.

But you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone positives like templates that are good, integrations that are solid, and the brief learning curve.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center objective–to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and attain higher conversion rates. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be helpful for less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I am pretty sure that for the vast majority of users, choice is offered by the page builder. If you’re looking to get an sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. It has not attained its popularity on promises, and that I’m giving 4/5 stars to it.
