ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just 3 years it’s been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using otherwise complex marketing technologies, known as sales funnels (more on those in a second).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He’s made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but marketing experiences. He played around with email marketing for a while, and started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is Expert Secrets, two books and the author of DotCom Secrets his fans rave about and that guide people through his marketing methodologies. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website . Click Funnels Joshua Carter
ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his staff produce funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would normally take weeks. They soon realized their creation would be helpful to other people and had good potential as a commodity.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes people who don’t understand you personally and turns them to clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of measures designed to guide a web site visitor to the checkout page.
There is a way of thinking about it. Step 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients you telephone web traffic or website visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, many of your visitors still doesn’t turn into clients. In a physical store, that is like people walking in to your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so they leave the store without purchasing anything. In a physical store, you can talk your clients into buying something. In a store, you could be a little more distant from the visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your clients’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel functions incremental, draw traffic in closer and closer till people wind up in a page.
You are correct if you think that sounds cool –it has turned into a huge bargain for online advertising. Russell Brunson did become wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to save time and energyto do what requires a whole lot of technological proficiency and/or a range of third party applications. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
Among the greatest things about ClickFunnels is its focus on making money for your consumer. They make it easy to make your accounts, put your content up, and start taking payments. Additionally, it is pretty easy to pick everything up–it’ll likely take you a couple hours to find out a lot of what you need, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are extremely useful here. I like how simple it is to duplicate pages, and the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a feature, and they’ve pulled it off nicely. It is an builder, once you become accustomed to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is excellent. All you have to do is duplicate a page, make your changes, and choose the numbers of your visitors that you want to view version A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment chips are not too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to control.
You’ll also find a WordPress plugin that allows you insert ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress website. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle compared to working between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active setups.
All in one
Overall, it is great to get things so concentrated: I can construct my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from 1 platform.
All of this really does save you time and money, resources you’d otherwise need to spend on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.
You may rest assured the lower-tiered accounts is a great investment–what you’re allowed for a StartUp accounts is really decent. In case you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, then the full suite might not be too much to ask. Click Funnels Joshua Carter
ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a great job of packing good tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they would have if they tried to manage funnels another way.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it’s quite a few places that require work.
A small drawback is the price. There are just two options, at either $97 a month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this isn’t a huge drawback, just another investment in your business, and like I have mentioned, you get a good package for this.
Lackluster Client Service
Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with basic questions, but if you ask them harder things, especially about more innovative features, they won’t be quite helpful.
Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Founder
This isn’t an objective criticism of their product but that I take a slight problem with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype. They’ve a marketing. But from a user experience perspective, it can acquire obtrusive. When you sign up for the applications, you may attempt to examine the purpose features of this software and incorporate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s marketing procedures.
This means you’ll end up purchasing online courses, books, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and articles consists of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they created. Although these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they’re more concentrated on earning quick money instead of building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do good things, but it has also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, on line courses, saturation of coaches and experts, along with other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.
We all know the founder is a marketing wizard, but much of this item is tied to his doctrine and his brand. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it seems like an extension of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s difficult not to get the feeling that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, especially when a few aspects of their product (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels but more about the community. While you’ve got the ability to personalize broadly within ClickFunnels, many people use similar layouts. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large quantity of ClickFunnel-y seems floating around. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some mistakes or will return. Though this doesn’t happen frequently, there’s little you can do but wait. If you are investing a lot in advertising or driving traffic to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a few hours, then you can potentially lose a good deal of cash.
It’s also hard to know if your pages are functioning or not, unless you always wait or wait until you hear from angry clients. When I clone webpages using the HTML publishing alternative, barring bandwidth, I deal with some glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options alter, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.
I enjoy consistency within my applications, especially if it is a business alternative.
At length, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it’s too simple, and too expensive because of its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that can be cheaper upfront and give more control over managing specific details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use package of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try out the support , so at least you don’t have to commit to a costly plan right away. If you pay annually instead of monthly, you receive two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Suite).
Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some might say , and that I could see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which begins at $25 per month. However, it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to make funnels more effective, and it does a pretty good job. I personally consider it a fantastic investment.
The main differences between an entry level account along with a premium account are as follows: StartUp receives the main service, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the complete list of features.
But, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split evaluations, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a full list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack feature which allows you describe a product as a one time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your clients cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domain names; priority support and template asks; as well as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Full Suite, do not worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the section of the ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the differences, StartUp basically conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two other services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You can view the full official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I think they’re strong and you get whatever you need. They are largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are all great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I’ll be giving them different sections. Click Funnels Joshua Carter
A/B split testing is a feature, but definitely a noteworthy one.
If you replicate a webpage and also make changes to the copy, the split test basically enables you to choose what percentages of the traffic you need to see per page, letting you test conversion rates very handily. It’s easy to use and a function.
I also think ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for different settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate individuals would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be easy to work with, I believed the basic features were fairly great.
There are a number of kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to several types of businesses, and you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I have a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my opinion, Full Suite is just three products being packaged as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What’s Actionetics? Well, it is exactly what many would call an email auto-responder or only an auto-responder, but it is a little more complex. The main objective of Actionetics is smart analytics which lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail in addition to email, and a few other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument supposed to make managing an affiliate system simpler and more effective.
However, are these features, or products that are different? Actionetics seems a bit like ClickFunnels trying to sell an iffy email auto-responder to me, but maybe I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it makes Full Suite a bit perplexing and eliminates the coherency you get with the original ClickFunnels.
Here’s the Complete list of StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- unlimited contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase pages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per form
You can watch the full list of features, along with complete Package features, here. If you are in a situation where you are able to manage to try out Etison for a little and you also absolutely need an efficient, easy way of increasing sales, I do not believe you’d find yourself shorted. By that same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a massive advantage that you can not do without them: for most users, just StartUp will offer a comprehensive enough package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is probably ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wished to devote exclusive attention to it. In reality, I think a huge portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top score has to do with it turned into a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building software and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it largely for this particular landing page builder.
Anyway, there’s rather an array of templates with great designs, however as you may expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel type, so poking around is not too hard.
You might even save certain templates and also make own page templates, and it is rather simple to see them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings and open from the editor.
You’ll basically be working with a drag and drop builder once your pages open from the editor. It is a little more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it is still easy to use.
The editor uses a webpage structure with four chief components: sections, rows, columns, and components. Think of these parts as fitting inside every other (this article has a very helpful diagram). Basically: columns, rows, and components go inside of sections. You can have several sections per page. Rows and columns go inside segments, but columns especially go into rows. This way you may have a row with one column, or around four. Elements are the dynamic bits that also make your page interactive to its customers and go columns.
It may sound complex, but it is pretty easy to get the hang . Everything is color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box since it is a part, but when I had been hovering over an element, it could be orange.
A little criticism I have heard (but don’t have personally) on the builder is the way grid-like it is–you have to work within these columns and rows. I personally don’t think this is a huge issue and the builder provides you enough control without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
I enjoy the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct kinds of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. For example, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you’re registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few partners you may enhance your integrations. Here’s a Complete list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations segment, you can search for these or simply click the search bar, and they will come up. It is pretty self-explanatory, just click on the one. Click Funnels Joshua Carter
The process for handling integrations is also straightforward, though you might have to check your third party software’s documentation to discover precisely what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll discover the process straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some attributes, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely simple method of adding and managing integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part different from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they are the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your store won’t really be much of a shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling each of these integrations is pretty easy–so long as you’re all set up with whatever tool you are attempting to integrate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. These integrations usually run smoothly and you do not have to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ main market is its ease of usage –because their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which enable the less experienced save time and money. That being the situation, assessing ease of usage is pretty significant.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some experience.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I’d say the learning curve could be just a few hours maximum. Pick up the books mentioned in the review of Russell Brunson if you behind.
Anyway, ClickFunnels is unquestionably easier than creating funnels all on your own. They have a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it appears to me like most queries must be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.
All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The center features of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate into all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or charge processors will want a bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere near the amount of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it is stuff you can figure out by Googling about or visiting the docs centre.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it is overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it likely won’t be sufficient to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It combines choice and customizability with convenience, and while I’d suggest all potential users enter with a few simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (talking from experience here) will get the maximum use from it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some companies over others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network marketing, and even those offering B2B services would probably be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels in general does well with those offering more ventures that are independent or innovative products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards these businesses: for instance, if you are a florist, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything there would be support also. The same goes for people selling content like books or courses.
Of course, you could always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t believe you need to determine if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only on their default funnel kinds. If you are a smaller company, alright with the price , and you need to produce your traffic work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anybody who would like to keep a better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area that consists of a few nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is only for SaaS companies, but still adequate. Their docs page includes a series of classes. It may be easy, but it’s not too shabby. Click Funnels Joshua Carter
As the immediate customer assistance, they have a feature within the dashboard once you log in for, but I am not pleased with it. They have been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more complex questions, I have found them fairly unhelpful. With one HTML publishing query, they took to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users will not need that kind of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t provide that level of support. So I give ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Additionally, I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. In instances when features haven’t worked as promised or if there were site malfunctions, customer service representatives were either unhelpful or unresponsive. One notorious reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, some of his clients were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. He found that they were unhelpful and apathetic when he contacted customer service. It might be a scenario, however it illustrates the point.
Overall Support Rating
I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I think the team largely understand that their solutions are not perfectly easy to use and/or demand tools new for their customers, and they have put enough resources in their support to make it adequate. At least fundamental queries will be answered, and they are pretty responsive. Maybe most consumers, myself included, would not say ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the conclusion that is overarching? It’s good–4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate contender in the marketing program space and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a few drawbacks: you might want to check, If you want a more hands-on answer to your advertising needs with customization abilities. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with customer service agents, or some glitches in the program. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of these outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone positives such as templates that are superior, integrations that are solid, and the brief learning curve.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and reach conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be pretty helpful for significantly less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I am pretty sure that for the vast majority of users, the page builder offers option. If you’re looking first and foremost for a simple but powerful sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a great tool. After all, it has not reached its popularity on empty promises, and that is why I am giving it 4/5 stars.
