What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just 3 years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet advertising industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell stuff online using otherwise complex advertising technologies, known as sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous and for good reason. He has made a fortune, not just from ClickFunnels, but advertising adventures. He played around with email advertising for some time, and started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets, two books that his fans rave that guide and about people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Click Funnels Free
ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his staff produce funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would usually take weeks. They had good potential as a product and soon realized their production would be useful to other people.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes individuals who don’t know you personally and turns them to clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of measures developed to guide a web site visitor to the checkout page.
There is a less dull way of considering it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Step 2: Envision this funnel is actually a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you telephone web traffic or website traffic. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, that still doesn’t turn a lot of your visitors into customers. In a physical store, that’s like people walking in to your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so they leave the shop without purchasing anything. You can speak your clients. In a digital store, you may be a little more distant from the customers. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to attract your customers’ . The funnel works incremental, bring traffic in closer and closer till people end up at a page.
If you feel that sounds cool, you’re correct –it’s become a huge bargain for online advertising. Russell Brunson didn’t just become wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it too.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some good news: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to save you time and energyto do exactly what otherwise demands a lot of technological competence and/or an array of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
Among the best things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making money. They make it put your content up, very simple to produce your accounts, and start taking payments. Additionally, it’s pretty easy to pick everything up–it will likely take you a few hours to find out most of what you require, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are very useful here. I enjoy how easy it is to duplicate pages, and also the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a attribute that is pretty important, and they have pulled it. It is an builder, As soon as you get used to it.
Built in A/B testing is great. All you need to do is replicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and choose the numbers of the traffic you want to view version A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to control.
You’ll also find a WordPress plugin which lets you insert ClickFunnels pages. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a strong 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active installations.
All in one
Overall, it’s good to have things so concentrated: I will build my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and activate emails all from one platform.
All of this really does save you time and money, resources you would otherwise need to invest on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.
You can be sure that the lower-tiered accounts is a good investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp account is really decent. If you have more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the complete suite may not be too much to ask. Click Funnels Free
ClickFunnels is not ideal, but it does a great job of packaging good tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they would have when they attempted to manage funnels another way.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it has quite a few areas that need work.
A drawback is the price. There are two alternatives, at $97 a month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t another investment in your business a massive drawback, and like I’ve mentioned, you receive a package for it.
Lackluster Client Service
Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with basic queries, but if you ask them harder things, especially about more innovative features, they will not be quite helpful.
Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Founder
This is not an objective criticism of the product but that I take a small problem with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is difficult to escape the hype. They’ve a great marketing for sure. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. Once you sign up for the software, you may attempt to examine the objective features of the software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be missing and made to learn Russell Brunson’s marketing methods.
This usually means you will end up purchasing online courses, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and most posts is composed of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sports cars. Although these numbers are real, the consumers provide an impression that they are more concentrated on making quick cash rather than building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, online classes, saturation of coaches and experts, and other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.
We all know the creator is a marketing but so much of this item is tied into his philosophy and his brand. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it seems to be an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s difficult to not get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, particularly when a few aspects of their product (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more about the community. As you’ve got the capability to customize within ClickFunnels, many men and women use similar layouts. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large amount of ClickFunnel-y seems. Diversity is vital.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or experience some mistakes. Though this doesn’t occur frequently, there’s little you can do but wait. If you are investing a great deal in advertising or driving traffic to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a couple of hours, you may potentially lose a good deal of money.
It’s also hard to know if your pages are working or not, unless you always check or wait until you hear from angry customers. Barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches when I clone pages using the HTML publishing option.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing choices change, etcand it appears ClickFunnels remains figuring things out.
I enjoy consistency within my applications if it is a business alternative.
At length, a criticism I’ve heard but do not quite agree with personally: it is too simple, and too pricey because of its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that may be cheaper upfront and give more control over managing specific details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an simple to use package of resources, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively known as ClickFunnels and Full Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month and Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to try the support , in order you do not need to commit to a costly plan straight away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Package ).
Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some might say , and that I could see why–especially in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which begins at $25 a month. However, it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to make funnels more effective, and it does a pretty good job. I personally consider it a fantastic investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the principal company, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the amount of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the complete list of features.
But, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B divide evaluations, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a complete list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack feature which lets you characterize a product as a one time payment merchandise for your payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your customers cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domain names; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Total Suite, don’t worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the subsequent section of this ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the gaps, StartUp essentially carries the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone instrument ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the full set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can watch the complete official record .
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ attributes overall? I believe they’re strong and you get whatever you want. They are largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are great examples of this and are very important functions, so I’ll be giving them different segments. Click Funnels Free
A/B split testing is a feature, but unquestionably a notable one.
If you replicate a webpage and also make changes to the copy, the divide test essentially lets you select what percentages of your visitors you need to view per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very handily. It is easy to use and a great function.
I also think ClickFunnels is complete flexible and straightforward for other settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but while the support is supposed to be simple to use, I thought the basic features were fairly great.
There are quite a few types of available pre-made funnels, oriented into several types of companies, and you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I will just have a minute within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. In my opinion, Total Suite is just three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it is exactly what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complicated. The main objective of Actionetics is smart analytics that result in smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool designed to make managing an affiliate system simpler and more effective.
But are products, or these features? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels trying to market a iffy email auto-responder for me, but maybe I am just cynical. In any case, it makes Full Suite a little perplexing and removes the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.
Here’s the Complete list of StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- boundless contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase webpages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale pages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 billing integration per form
You may view the full list of features, together with Full Package features, here. If you are in a situation where you can afford to try Etison for a bit and you absolutely require an efficient, easy method of increasing sales, I don’t think you would find yourself shorted. By that exact same token, I don’t think Actionetics and Backpack provide such a massive benefit that you can’t do without themfor most users, simply StartUp will provide a comprehensive adequate package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is likely ClickFunnels’ most important feature, so I wished to devote exclusive attention. In fact, I think a huge part of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it turned into a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely for this landing page builder.
Anyway, there’s rather an array of templates with great designs, though as you may expect, just the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel kind, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.
You can even save certain templates and also make personal page templates, and it is pretty easy to find them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings and open from the editor.
Once your pages open in the editor, you’ll essentially be working using a drop and drag builder. It is a little more complex than some other mild page builders, but it’s still easy to use.
The editor utilizes a page structure with four chief components: sections, columns, rows, and elements. Think of these components as fitting inside every other (this article includes a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and components go inside of segments. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns go indoors segments, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you may have a row with a single column, or around four. Elements are the lively bits that go inside columns and make your page interactive.
It may sound complicated, but it is pretty simple to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for example, from the above screenshot, the choice is a mild green box since it is a section, however if I was hovering over a component, it could be orange.
A small criticism I have heard (but do not have personally) on the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you have to work within these rows and columns. I personally do not think this is a huge problem and the builder provides you enough control without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
Overall, I enjoy the page builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page quite simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you incorporate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few distinct kinds of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. By way of instance, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few notable partners you can enhance your integrations readily. Here’s a full list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations section, you can search for these or just click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click the one. Click Funnels Free
The procedure for handling integrations is also simple, though you might have to look at your third party program’s documentation to discover precisely what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll discover the procedure pretty simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some features, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely simple method of adding and handling integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get integrated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a section different from integrations. They may be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be much of a store unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing each these integrations is fairly simple –as long as you’re all set up with whatever tool you’re attempting to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations operate and you do not need to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ most important sell is its ease of usage –because their ad says,”Do not waste any more time with’tech guys! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that allow the less experienced to save money and time. That being the case, assessing ease of use is pretty significant.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some expertise.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For many people, I would say the learning curve would be only a couple hours maximum. Pick up the books mentioned previously in the critique of Russell Brunson, if you are actually behind.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is unquestionably easier than creating funnels on your own. They have a reasonable amount of documentation, and it might not be ideal, but it seems to me like most questions should be covered, and you can always contact a customer service representative if it has to do with it.
All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The center characteristics of ClickFunnels–the actual funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some settings regarding email integrations or charge processors will require a bit of understanding, but it is nowhere close to the quantity of knowledge you would need to actually code the funnels–it is stuff you’ll be able to figure out by Googling around or seeing the docs center.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it is overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it likely will not be enough to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It unites alternative and customizability with convenience, and while I’d suggest all prospective users input with a few simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience ) will get the maximum use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to some businesses.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community advertising, and even those offering B2B services would probably be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does ventures that are individual or creative products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those industries: for instance, if you are a florist, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything there could be support too. The same holds for people selling content like books or courses.
Of course, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not think you should decide if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based purely in their default funnel types. If you’re a smaller company, okay with the price , and you need to make your visitors work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anybody who would like to keep a better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is nevertheless adequate, although just barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their docs page includes a series of categories, each with their own articles. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it may be easy. Click Funnels Free
As for the customer service, they have a feature inside the dashboard after you log into, but I’m not overly pleased by it. They’ve been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more complex questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing question, they took three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not require that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS businesses don’t offer that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Furthermore, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer support. In instances when features haven’t worked as promised or if there were site malfunctions, customer service reps were allegedly unhelpful or unresponsive. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, some of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only content. He discovered they were unhelpful and apathetic when he contacted customer service. It might be a weird, unlikely scenario, however it illustrates the point.
Total Support Rating
I wouldn’t state ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think the team mostly understand that their services are not easy to use and/or involve tools fresh for their customers, and they have put resources in their support to make it adequate. At least queries will be answered, and they are fairly responsive. Maybe users, myself included, wouldn’t state ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it largely meets a bare minimum which makes it at least great. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the overarching verdict? It’s fine! It’s a legitimate contender in the marketing software space and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: Should you need a more hands-on solution to your advertising needs with customization skills, you may want to look. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service representatives, or any glitches in the software. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of these outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone advantages like integrations that are strong, the learning curve, and templates that are good.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and reach conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be quite helpful for internet-exposed entrepreneurs that are less. I am pretty certain that for the vast majority of prospective users, option is offered by the page builder. If you’re looking to get an sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a great tool. On promises, it hasn’t reached its popularity In the end, and that I’m giving it 4/5 stars.
