What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just three years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to market things online using differently complicated advertising technology, called sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned and for good reason. He has made a fortune, but not only from ClickFunnels, but other marketing experiences. He played around with email marketing for some time, and started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the author of DotCom Secrets two books, and Secrets that his fans rave about and that guide people through his marketing methodologies. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Click Funnels Consultant
ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his staff produce funnels more rapidly for different ventures, as developing funnels would normally take months. They soon realized their production would be useful to others and had great potential as a commodity.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes individuals who don’t know you and turns them into customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps designed to direct a web site visitor.
There’s a less boring method of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients you call web traffic or site visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your site is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, many of your visitors still doesn’t turn . In a brick and mortar store, that is like people walking in to your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the shop without purchasing anything. You can talk your customers into buying something. In a shop that is digital, you may be a little more remote from your customers. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your customers’ through principles of psychology. The funnel functions step-by-step, bring traffic in closer and closer until visitors wind up in a payment page.
If you think this sounds cool, you’re right–it’s turned into a massive deal for advertising. Russell Brunson did become wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some great information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is meant to save time and energy–to do exactly what requires a whole lot of proficiency and/or an array of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
Among the best things about ClickFunnels is its focus on earning the consumer money. They make it put up your content, easy to make your accounts, and start taking payments. Plus, it is rather easy to pick everything up–it will probably take you a couple hours to find out a lot of what you need, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are very useful here. I like how simple it’s to duplicate pages, and also the fact I can save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a feature, and they have pulled it. It’s an easy to use drag and drop builder once you get used to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is great. All you need to do is duplicate a page, make your adjustments, and choose the numbers of the traffic that you wish to see version A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are easy to manage.
You will also find a WordPress plugin that lets you add ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress website. It saves a lot of time and is a lot less of a hassle than working between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active setups.
All in 1
In general, it is great to get things so centralized: I will construct my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and activate emails all from one platform.
All this really does save you time and money, resources you would otherwise need to spend on developers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.
You may rest assured the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you are permitted for a StartUp account is pretty decent. In case you have more than 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the full package may not be too much to ask. Click Funnels Consultant
ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a great job of packing good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a hassle they’d have when they tried to manage funnels another manner.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it’s a number of areas that need work.
A little drawback is the cost. There are two alternatives, at either $97 a month or $297 a month. In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t like I have mentioned a different investment in your business, and a huge drawback, you receive a package for this.
Lackluster Client Support
Beyond this, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been fine with basic queries, but if you ask them more difficult things, especially about more innovative features, they won’t be quite helpful.
Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Founder
This is not an objective criticism of the product but I take a slight problem with their advertising that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it is hard to escape the hype. They’ve a marketing. But from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. Once you sign up for the software, you can try to look at the objective features of this software and integrate it into your own workflow, or you’re going to be lost and made to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.
This usually means you will find yourself purchasing online courses, publications, attending seminars, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and most posts consists of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they created. Though these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they are more focused on earning quick money rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do good things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, on line courses, saturation of coaches and specialists, along with other spammy online marketer stuff.
Much of the item is tied to his doctrine and his brand, although we know the founder is a marketing magician. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it seems like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s hard not to get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when some elements of the merchandise (i.e., client service) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels however more about the community. As you’ve got the capability to customize within ClickFunnels, a lot of people use designs. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great amount of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some errors or will return. Though this really doesn’t happen often, there’s little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or driving visitors to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings your pages down for even a few hours, you may potentially lose a lot of cash.
In addition, it is hard to know when your pages are functioning or not, unless you always wait or wait till you hear from angry clients. When I replicate webpages using the HTML printing option, barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options alter, etcand it seems ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.
I enjoy consistency in my applications, especially if it is a business solution.
At length, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with personally: it is too easy, and too expensive because of its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which can be cheaper upfront and yield more control over handling specific details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an simple to use package of resources, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and Full Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month and Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it is worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test out the support , in order you don’t have to commit to a costly program straight away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you get two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).
Nonetheless, a bit hefty huh? Well, some would say , and I can see why–especially if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which begins at $25 a month. However, it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to make funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly good job. Personally, I consider it a fantastic investment.
The main differences between an entry level consideration along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the main company, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only a number of the full list of features.
However, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split tests, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a full list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack feature that allows you describe a product as a one-time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your customers pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and custom domains; priority support and template requests; also as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Suite, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the subsequent section of the ClickFunnels review.
To outline the gaps, StartUp basically carries the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone instrument ClickFunnels with two other services–Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You can view the complete official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I think that they’re strong and you get everything you need. They’re largely intuitive and supply you with a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are great examples of this and are very important functions, so I’ll be giving them different segments. Click Funnels Consultant
A/B split testing is definitely, although a more compact feature a one.
If you duplicate a webpage and also make changes to the copy, the split test essentially lets you choose what percentages of your traffic you need to see per page, letting you test conversion rates very handily. It is a great function and simple to use.
In addition, I think ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for different settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but as the service is supposed to be easy to use, I believed the basic features were fairly good.
There are a number of types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to several kinds of businesses, and also you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I have a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. Total Suite is three products being packaged together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an email auto-responder or only an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complicated. The main objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics which lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool designed to make managing an affiliate program easier and more effective.
But are products that are separate, or these features? Actionetics seems somewhat like ClickFunnels attempting to market a iffy email auto-responder to me, but perhaps I’m just cynical. In any case, it gets Full Suite a little confusing and eliminates the coherency you get with the original ClickFunnels.
Here is the full list of StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 visitors
- boundless contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All advanced funnels
- Revenue funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase webpages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per type
You may view the complete list of features, along with Full Suite features, here. If you’re in a position where you are able to manage to try Etison for a little and you also absolutely need an efficient, easy method of increasing sales, I don’t think you would wind up shorted. By that exact same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack offer such a massive advantage that you can’t do without them: for most users, simply StartUp will offer a thorough enough package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wished to devote special attention. In reality, I think a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a high score has to do with it being a really good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it largely for this landing page builder.
Anyway, there is rather a range of templates with great layouts, however as you may expect, just the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel kind, so poking around isn’t too hard.
You might also save certain templates and also create personal page templates, and it’s rather easy to find them. As you can see, you can toggle with settings and open in the editor.
You be working with a drop and drag builder When your pages start in the editor. It is a bit more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it is still user friendly.
The editor uses a page structure with four main parts: sections, rows, columns, and components. Consider these parts as fitting within every other (this article includes a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and elements go inside of sections. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns go indoors sections, but columns specifically enter rows. This way you can have up to four, or a row with a single column. Elements are the bits that make your page interactive and go columns.
It might sound complex, but it is pretty easy to get the hang . Everything is color-coded–for example, from the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box because it is a section, however when I was hovering over a component, it would be orange.
A little criticism I have heard (but do not have ) on the builder is how grid-like it’s –you have to work within these rows and columns. I personally do not think this is a huge issue and the builder gives you enough hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it may be worth a mention.
Overall, I like the webpage builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of distinct types of integrations you are able to enhance your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For example, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you like MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you’re registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few partners you may add to your integrations. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations section, you can search for these or simply click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click on the one. Click Funnels Consultant
The process for managing integrations can also be straightforward, though you may need to look at your third party program’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. In general, you’ll find the procedure simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than a few attributes, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very straightforward method of incorporating and handling integrations.
Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get incorporated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part different from integrations. They may also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also what they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be a lot of store unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling all these integrations is fairly simple –so long as you are all set up using whatever tool you are trying to incorporate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations operate and you don’t have to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its simplicity of use–as their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’tech men! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which allow the less experienced save money and time. That being the case, assessing ease of usage is pretty significant.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you need to still have some expertise.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I would say that the learning curve could be just a few hours max. Pick up the books mentioned in the critique of Russell Brunson, if you are actually behind.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is unquestionably easier than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a reasonable amount of documentation, and it might not be ideal, but it appears to me as if most questions should be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.
All that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The center characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the actual funnels–are fairly simple to control. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate to all sections of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings involving email integrations or charge processors will require a little bit of comprehension, but it is nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it is stuff you’ll be able to determine by Googling about or seeing the docs centre.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it probably will not be sufficient to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It combines alternative and customizability with ease, and while I’d suggest all prospective users input with some basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (talking from experience ) will find the most use from it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a companies more than others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and even those that offer B2B services would most likely be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does nicely with people offering more ventures that are individual or products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards these industries: for example, if you’re a florist, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a good method of marketing for you. If you are trying to center everything there would be support also. The same goes for people selling content like publications or classes.
Of course, you can always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not believe you should determine if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only in their default funnel types. If you’re a smaller company, alright with the price tag, and you have to produce your traffic work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anybody who wants to maintain a much better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is a place which consists of some nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is nevertheless adequate, although just for SaaS companies. Their docs page includes a collection of categories. It may be easy, however content-wise it isn’t too shabby. Click Funnels Consultant
As for the customer service that is immediate, they’ve a chat feature within the dashboard once you log into, but I am not overly pleased by it. They’ve generally been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I’ve had more complex questions, I’ve found them fairly unhelpful. With one HTML publishing query, they took to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users won’t need that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS companies don’t offer that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
Additionally, I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. In cases when features have not worked as promised or if there were site malfunctions, client support reps were either unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, a number of his clients were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only articles. He discovered that they were unhelpful and apathetic, After he contacted customer support. It may be a bizarre, unlikely scenario, but it illustrates the point.
Total Support Rating
I would not state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel that the team understand that their solutions are not simple to use and/or involve tools new to their users, and they have put resources in their support to make it decent. At least queries will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Perhaps consumers wouldn’t say ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets a minimum which makes it. In this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the verdict? It is fine! It is a legitimate contender in the marketing software area and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: Should you want a more solution to your marketing needs with customization skills, you might want to look. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with unhelpful customer service agents, or some glitches in the program. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering everything, I do not think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone other advantages such as strong integrations the brief learning curve, and templates that are superior.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core goal –to make it simpler for you to funnel traffic and reach higher conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be helpful for entrepreneurs that are less. I’m pretty certain that for the vast majority of users, the webpage builder provides enough option. If you’re looking to get an sales alternative or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. On promises, it has not reached its popularity after all, and that I’m giving 4/5 stars to it.
