What’s ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only 3 years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using differently complex advertising technologies, known as sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).

The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned as his creation, and for good reason. He’s made a fortune, not just from ClickFunnels, but other marketing experiences. He played around with email advertising for a while, and started to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets two books, and Expert Secrets his fans rave that guide and about people through his marketing methodologies. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Click Funnels Bootcamp

ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his staff create funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would normally take months. However, they had great potential as a product and soon realized their production would be useful to others.

What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes individuals who don’t understand you and turns them into clients, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps developed to guide a website visitor.

There’s a method of thinking about it. Measure 1: Imagine a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is actually a metaphor, and rather than actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients that you call internet traffic or website traffic. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your website is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors still doesn’t turn into customers. In a brick and mortar store, that is like people walking in to your shop but not understanding where the cash register is, so they leave the shop without purchasing anything. At a physical store, you can speak your customers. In a store that is digital, you may be a bit more remote from your visitors. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to attract your clients’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel functions step-by-step, bring traffic in closer and closer until visitors wind up in a page.

You’re right, if you feel that sounds cool –it’s turned into a massive bargain for internet advertising. Russell Brunson didn’t only become rich by promoting ClickFunnels technology, but by using it as well.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I’ve got some good information: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is meant to help save you time and energy–to do what demands a whole lot of technological competence and/or a range of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Cash

One of the best things about ClickFunnels is the focus on earning your user money. They make it put up your content, easy to make your accounts, and start taking payments. Plus, it’s pretty simple to select up everything –it’ll probably take you a few hours to figure out a lot of what you need, maximum.

Drag and Drop Builder

Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I enjoy how simple it’s to duplicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a feature that is fairly important, and they have pulled it off well. It’s an easy to use drag and drop builder, As soon as you become accustomed to it.

A/B testing

Constructed in A/B testing is excellent too. All you need to do is replicate a page, make your adjustments, and pick the amounts of your traffic that you want to see variant A or B.

Great selection of Integrations

I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations pretty nicely. Email autoresponders and payment processors aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are easy to manage.

WordPress Plugin

You’ll also find a useful WordPress plugin which lets you add ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress website. It saves a good deal of time and is much less of a hassle than working between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin repository, using over 20,000 active setups.

All in one

Overall, it’s great to have things so centralized: I will build my landing pages, produce forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from one platform.

All this really will save time and money, resources you would otherwise need to spend on programmers, CSS, hosting configurations, and so on.

Reasonable Value

You may rest assured the lower-tiered accounts is a good investment–what you are allowed for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. If you have over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, then the full package may not be too much to ask. Click Funnels Bootcamp

ClickFunnels isn’t perfect, but it does a fantastic job of packaging great tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they would have if they tried to handle funnels another way.

Cons: Clickfunnels Review

I have some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it’s a number of areas that require work.

A little drawback is the cost. There are two alternatives, at either $97 per month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this isn’t just another investment in your organization, a drawback, and like I have mentioned, you receive a package for this.

Lackluster Customer Support

Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with fundamental questions, but if you ask them more difficult things, particularly about more advanced features, they won’t be very helpful.

Cult-like user base and applications too reliant on Creator

This isn’t an objective criticism of their merchandise but that I take a small problem with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a advertising for certain. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. When you register for the applications, you can try to look at the purpose features of this software and incorporate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be lost and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising procedures.

This means you will find yourself purchasing online courses, publications, attending seminars, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and many articles is composed of people bragging about how much money they made and flashing their sport cars. Although these numbers are real, the consumers provide an impression that they are more focused on making quick money instead of building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do good things, but it’s also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line classes, saturation of coaches and experts, along with other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.

So much of this product is tied to his own brand and his doctrine, although Most of us know the founder is a marketing magician. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it looks like an extension of Brunson’s platform.

Sometimes it’s difficult not to get the sensation that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, particularly when a few aspects of their product (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more about the neighborhood. As you’ve got the capability to customize within ClickFunnels, many men and women use layouts. Considering the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large amount of ClickFunnel-y looks floating around. Diversity is vital.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels will return or encounter some errors. Though this doesn’t occur frequently, there is little you can do but wait patiently. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or forcing traffic to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a couple of hours, you may potentially lose a good deal of cash.

In addition, it is hard to know when your pages are functioning or not, if you don’t always wait or wait until you hear from angry customers. When I clone webpages using the HTML printing option, barring uptime, I also deal with a few glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes frequently, the stream of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing choices change, etc–and it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.

I enjoy consistency in my applications if it’s a business solution.

Too Simple

At length, a criticism I’ve heard but do not quite agree with personally: it’s too easy, and too expensive for its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which can be more economical upfront and give more control over managing certain details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use package of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels includes two pricing plans–StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month plus Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to try out the service, so at least you don’t have to commit to a costly plan right away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two weeks free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).

Nonetheless, a bit hefty huh? Well, some would say , and I can see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 a month. But it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to make funnels more efficient, and it does a fairly good job. I personally consider it a fantastic investment.

The principal differences between an entry level account along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the principal company, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and only some of the complete list of features.

However, both programs have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split evaluations, and a few other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite includes a full list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack feature which lets you describe a product as a one time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time obligations, this allows your clients cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with custom domain names; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics along with Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Total Package, do not worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the section of this ClickFunnels review.

To outline the differences, StartUp essentially conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Suite, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone tool ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can watch the full official list .

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

How are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I think they’re solid and you get everything you want. They are largely intuitive and give you a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are good examples of this and are crucial functions, so I’ll be giving them separate sections. Click Funnels Bootcamp

A/B split testing is definitely, although a more compact feature a noteworthy one.

If you replicate a page and also make changes to the backup, the divide test basically enables you to select what percentages of the traffic that you want to see per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It’s a great function and quite simple to use.

I also believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and simple for different settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them restrictive (a common theme among some criticisms), but as the support is supposed to be simple to use, I believed the fundamental features were fairly good.

There are a number of kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to several types of companies, and you can obviously build your personal funnel from scratch too.

Actionetics and Backpack

I will just take a minute within this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. In my opinion, Total Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What is Actionetics? Well, it’s exactly what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it’s a bit more complicated. The chief objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that result in clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail in addition to email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics comes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool supposed to make managing an affiliate system simpler and more effective.

But are these attributes, or products? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to market an iffy email auto-responder to me personally, but maybe I am just cynical. In any case, it makes Full Suite a bit confusing and removes the coherency you get together with the first ClickFunnels.

Here’s the full list of StartUp features
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 visitors
  • boundless contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split evaluations
  • Mail integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All innovative funnels
  • Sales funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Endless members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Purchase webpages
  • Upsell webpages
  • Downsale pages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 charging integration per type

You can watch the complete list of features, along with Full Suite features, here. If you are in a situation where you are able to manage to try out Etison for a little and you also absolutely need an efficient, simple way of increasing earnings, I do not think you’d find yourself shorted. By that same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a massive advantage that you can’t do without themfor many users, just StartUp will offer a thorough enough package.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is ClickFunnels’ feature, so I wished to devote attention. In fact, I think a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a high rating has to do with it being a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction software and advertises its own funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly for this particular landing page builder.

Anyhow, there is quite an array of templates with great designs, however as you may expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel type, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.

You can also save certain templates and also make own page templates, and it’s pretty easy to see them. It is possible to toggle with fundamental settings and open in the editor as you can see.

You be working with a drag and drop builder once your pages start from the editor. It is a little more complex than some other mild page builders, but it is still user friendly.

The editor utilizes a webpage structure with four main parts: sections, rows, columns, and components. Think of these parts as fitting within each other (this informative article includes a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and elements go inside of segments. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns go inside segments, but columns specifically go into rows. This way you can have up to four, or a row with one column. Elements are the dynamic bits that go within columns and make your page interactive to its visitors.

It may sound complicated, but it is rather simple to get the hang . Everything is color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the choice is a light green box since it is a part, but when I had been hovering over a component, it would be orange.

You could edit section, row, column, etc, via the side bar. Parts of your page and all the details can be altered or moved. The template editor allows for plenty of customization, but provides good control . You can do a variety of things–cellular previews, edit colors, text, configurations, and nearly anything you anticipate. If you are handy with code, you may also add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A small criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have ) on the builder is how grid-like it’s –you have to work within those rows and columns. Personally, I do not think this is a massive problem and the builder provides you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of usage, but it may be worth a mention.
In general, I like the page builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money online.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different kinds of integrations you are able to enhance your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For example, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re enrolled with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few noteworthy partners you can enhance your integrations easily. Here’s a Complete list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to your integrations section, you can search for these or just click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, just click the one. Click Funnels Bootcamp

The process for managing integrations is also straightforward, though you might have to check your third party program’s documentation to discover exactly what ClickFunnels needs. Overall, you’ll discover the process simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than some features, like the page builder, so it is much appreciated to have a very simple way of incorporating and handling integrations.

Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get integrated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part different from integrations. They might be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they are the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be much of a shop unless you are using a payment gateway.

A listing of the payment gateways you can include:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Managing each these integrations is fairly simple –so long as you’re all set up using whatever tool you are trying to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations operate smoothly and you don’t need to fret much about them.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

If you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main market is its ease of usage –as their ad says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology men! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the main service ClickFunnels offers is providing tools which enable the less experienced save time and money. That being the case, assessing ease of use is pretty significant.

Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some experience.

Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a little overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the area of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For most people, I’d say the learning curve could be just a few hours max. If you behind, pick up the books mentioned in the review of Russell Brunson.

Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly easier than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it seems to me as if most questions must be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.

All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The center characteristics of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly simple to control. A cohesive menu makes it effortless to navigate into all sections of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings regarding email integrations or payment processors will require a bit of understanding, but it is nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it is things you can determine by Googling about or seeing the docs center.

Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters frequently, but it likely won’t be sufficient to significantly hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It unites alternative and customizability with ease, and while I would suggest all prospective users input with a few basic technological literacy, it essentially succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.

Who’s ClickFunnels for?

Who stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (speaking from experience ) will find the maximum use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to a businesses more than others.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or community advertising, and even those that offer B2B services would probably be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does well with those offering more ventures or products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards those industries: for instance, if you’re a gentleman, you might come across the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic method of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything there could be support too. The same holds for individuals selling content like publications or classes.

Obviously, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I don’t believe you need to determine if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely on their default funnel kinds. If you’re a smaller business, okay with the price , and you need to produce your visitors work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time with ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anybody who would like to keep a much better landing page.

Client Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for having adequate documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is only barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but adequate. Their page has a series of classes. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it may be simple. Click Funnels Bootcamp

As once you log into for the customer service, they’ve a chat feature within the dashboard, but I am not overly delighted by it. They’ve been useful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more advanced questions, I’ve found them fairly unhelpful. With one HTML publishing question, they took three months to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users will not require that sort of support and to be honest SaaS businesses don’t provide that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Additionally, I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. In cases when features have not worked if there were weird site malfunctions or as promised, client support reps were supposedly unresponsive or unhelpful. One notorious reviewer in particular recounts how, because of site error, a number of his customers were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only articles. After he contacted customer support, he found they were unhelpful and apathetic. It may be a scenario that is weird, unlikely, however it illustrates the point.

Total Support Rating

I would not state ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel the team understand that their services are not absolutely simple to use and/or involve tools fresh to their users, and they’ve put enough resources into their support to make it decent. At least questions will be answered, and they are pretty responsive. Maybe users would not state ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it mostly meets a bare minimum that makes it. In this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

What’s the verdict? It’s good! It’s a legitimate contender in the advertising software space and worth trying out.

Yeah, a few drawbacks are: Should you need a more answer to your advertising needs with customization skills, you might want to check. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with customer service agents, or any glitches in the program. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone other advantages such as solid integrations the learning curve, and templates that are superior.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it simpler for you to funnel visitors and attain conversion rates. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be pretty helpful for entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed that are less. I am pretty certain that for the majority of users, the webpage builder provides enough option. If you are looking to get an sales solution or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. On promises, it has not attained its popularity after all, and that I am giving 4/5 stars to it.
