ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just 3 years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here’s the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to market things online using differently complex marketing technology, called sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned and for good reason. He has made a fortune, not only from ClickFunnels, but advertising adventures. He played around with email marketing for a while, and eventually started to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets and Secrets, two books his fans rave about and that guide people. You are able to pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his website here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website . Click Funnels 100,000,000
ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his team produce funnels more rapidly for distinct ventures, as creating funnels would usually take months. However, they soon realized their production would be useful to other people and had great potential as a product.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a process that takes individuals who don’t know you personally and turns them to clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of measures designed to direct a web site visitor to the checkout page.
There is a method of considering it. Measure 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Imagine this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients you call internet traffic or website visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking out things. Your website is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, many of your visitors doesn’t turn into clients. In a brick and mortar shop, that’s like people walking in to your shop but not knowing where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without buying anything. In a physical store, you can talk your customers into purchasing something. In a shop that is digital, you could be a little more remote from your customers. That is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your customers’ . The funnel functions incremental, bring traffic in closer and closer until visitors wind up in a payment page.
You are correct, if you feel this sounds cool –it’s become a massive bargain for internet advertising. Russell Brunson did get rich by selling ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I have got some great information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to help save time and energyto do exactly what otherwise requires a whole lot of competence and/or a range of third party software. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is its focus on earning money for your user. They make it put your content up very easy to make your account, and start taking payments. Plus, it’s pretty easy to pick up everything –it’ll likely take you a couple hours to figure out most of what you require, maximum.
Drag and Drop Builder
A few features are very useful here. I like how easy it’s to replicate pages, and also the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a feature that is fairly important, and they’ve pulled it off nicely. It’s an builder once you become used to it.
Built in A/B testing is excellent too. All you need to do is duplicate a webpage, make your adjustments, and pick the amounts of your visitors you wish to view variant A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels handles API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to manage.
You’ll also find a handy WordPress plugin which lets you insert ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress website. It saves a lot of time and is a lot less of a hassle compared to working between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active setups.
All in one
Overall, it’s great to get things so concentrated: I will construct my landing pages, create forms and purchase forms, and trigger emails all from one platform.
All this really does save you time and money, resources you would otherwise need to spend on programmers, CSShosting configurations, and so on.
You can rest assured that the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp accounts is really decent. If you have more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the complete package may not be too much to ask. Click Funnels 100,000,000
ClickFunnels isn’t perfect, but it does a fantastic job of packaging good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they’d have when they attempted to handle funnels another manner.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has quite a few places that need work.
A small drawback is the cost. There are two pricing alternatives, at $97 a month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not a huge drawback another investment in your organization, and like I’ve mentioned, you receive a fantastic package for this.
Lackluster Customer Service
Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they’ve been nice with fundamental questions, but if you ask them harder things, particularly about more advanced features, they won’t be quite helpful.
Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Founder
This isn’t an objective criticism of the product but that I take a small issue with their advertising that I believe is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it is hard to escape the hype surrounding it. They’ve a marketing. But from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. Once you sign up for the software, you may attempt to examine the objective features of this software and incorporate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be missing and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising methods.
This usually means you’ll find yourself purchasing online classes, publications, attending seminars, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and articles consists of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they created. Though these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they are more focused on earning quick money instead of building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it has also helped proliferate fast rich schemes, on line courses, saturation of coaches and specialists, along with other spammy online entrepreneurs stuff.
We know the creator is a marketing magician, but much of the product is tied to his doctrine and his brand. As much as I appreciate the landing page builder, everything around it looks like an extension of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s hard to not get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, particularly when a few elements of their merchandise (i.e., customer support ) can still use some work.
This one is not on ClickFunnels but more about the neighborhood. As you have the ability to personalize broadly within ClickFunnels, a lot of people use designs. Taking into consideration the prevalence of ClickFunnels, this has led to a large amount of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will go down or encounter some mistakes. Though this doesn’t occur often, there’s little you can do but wait. If you’re investing a great deal in advertising or driving visitors to your own funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a few hours, then you may potentially lose a good deal of cash.
In addition, it is difficult to know if your pages are functioning or not, unless you constantly wait or wait till you hear from angry clients. Barring bandwidth, I also deal with a few glitches when I clone webpages using the HTML printing option.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the stream of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing choices change, etcand it seems ClickFunnels remains figuring out things.
I enjoy consistency in my applications, especially if it is a business solution.
At length, a criticism I’ve heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it’s too easy, and too pricey for its simplicity. These criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which can be more economical upfront and yield more control over handling specific details. However, for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an simple to use bundle of resources, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, alternatively called ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to try out the service, so at least you don’t have to commit to an expensive plan straight away. Should you pay annually rather than monthly, you receive two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Package ).
Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some would say so, and I could see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that starts at $25 per month. But it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more effective, and it does a fairly great job. I personally consider it a fantastic investment.
The main differences between an entry level account along with a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp receives the main company, the funnel-builder, with some constraints on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the full list of features.
But, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split evaluations, and a few other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a complete list of attributes, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack feature that allows you characterize a product as a one time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack attribute, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your clients cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domains; priority support and template asks; as well as Actionetics and Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Full Package, do not worry, it is confusing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the section of this ClickFunnels review.
To summarize the differences, StartUp basically carries the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Full Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two other providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and also gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can view the full official record .
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
How are ClickFunnels’ attributes overall? I believe they’re strong and you get whatever you want. They’re largely intuitive and give you a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are great examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them separate sections. Click Funnels 100,000,000
A/B split testing is a feature, but definitely a one.
If you replicate a webpage and also make changes to the backup, the divide test essentially lets you choose what percentages of the traffic you need to see per page, allowing you test conversion rates very handily. It is a function and easy to use.
I also believe ClickFunnels is overall flexible and straightforward for different settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be easy to use, I believed the fundamental features were pretty good.
There are a number of types of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to different kinds of companies, and also you can of course build your own funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I will only have a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my view, Full Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it is exactly what many would call an email auto-responder or only an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complicated. The main goal of Actionetics is smart analytics which lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail as well as email, and a few other goodies. Together with Actionetics includes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), a tool supposed to make managing an affiliate system simpler and more effective.
However, are such attributes, or products that are separate? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to sell an iffy email auto-responder to me, but perhaps I am just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Full Suite a bit perplexing and removes the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.
Here is the full list of StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- boundless contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Unlimited members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase webpages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 billing integration per form
You can watch the complete list of features, together with Full Suite attributes, here. If you’re in a situation where you can afford to try out Etison for a bit and you absolutely require an efficient, easy way of increasing sales, I do not think you’d wind up shorted. By that same token, I really don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge benefit that you can not do without themfor most users, simply StartUp will provide a thorough enough package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is likely ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wanted to devote exclusive attention to it. In reality, I think a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top score has to do with it turned into a very solid landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building applications and advertises its funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this particular landing page builder.
Anyhow, there is quite a range of templates with great layouts, however as you may expect, just the templates created by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are organized by funnel kind, so poking around isn’t too hard.
You might even save certain templates and create own page templates, and it is rather easy to see them. As you can see, it is possible to toggle with settings and open in the editor.
You be working with a drop and drag builder When your pages open from the editor. It is a bit more complicated than some other mild page builders, but it’s still easy to use.
The editor utilizes a page structure with four chief components: sections, columns, rows, and components. Consider these components as fitting within every other (this informative article includes a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and elements go inside of sections. You can have several segments per page. Rows and columns go indoors sections, but columns specifically enter rows. This way you can have a row with a single column, or around four. Elements are the dynamic bits that also make your page interactive and go columns.
It might sound complicated, but it’s pretty simple to get the hang . What’s color-coded–for instance, in the above screenshot, the choice is a mild green box because it’s a part, but when I had been hovering over an element, it could be orange.
A little criticism I’ve heard (but do not have personally) on the builder is how grid-like it is–you have to work within those rows and columns. Personally, I do not believe this is a huge issue and the builder gives you enough hands without sacrificing ease of usage, but it might be worth a mention.
I like the page builder a good deal. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to earn money on the web.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a few distinct kinds of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels accounts: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of example, you may add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels since you like MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has quite a few partners you can add to your integrations easily. Here’s a full list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations segment, you can search for these or simply click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click the one. Click Funnels 100,000,000
The procedure for handling integrations can also be simple, though you might have to check your third party software’s documentation to find exactly what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the process straightforward. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than a few features, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very simple way of adding and managing integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways get integrated and on other applications platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section different from integrations. They might be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be a lot of shop unless you are using a payment gateway.
A listing of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Managing each these integrations is pretty easy–as long as you’re all set up using whatever tool you’re attempting to incorporate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations normally operate and you do not need to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ main market is its simplicity of use–as their advertisement says,”Do not waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve stated in this ClickFunnels review, the main ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that allow the less experienced save time and money. That being the situation, evaluating ease of usage is pretty significant.
Short answer: It’s easy to use, but you need to still have some experience.
Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it may be a bit overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I’d say the learning curve would be just a couple hours max. Pick up the books mentioned in the critique of Russell Brunson, if you behind.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it seems to me like most questions must be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.
All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the real funnels–are fairly simple to control. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate into all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates into the drag and drop editor. Some configurations regarding email integrations or charge processors will require a little bit of understanding, but it is nowhere near the amount of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it is things you can determine by Googling about or seeing the docs center.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it is overall streamlined with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters often, but it probably won’t be enough to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It unites choice and customizability with convenience, and while I would indicate all prospective users input with a few basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (talking from experience ) will find the most use out of it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to some businesses.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network advertising, and even those offering B2B services will probably be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does individual ventures or innovative products. The pre-made funnels are oriented towards these industries: for instance, if you’re a florist, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a good method of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything there would be great support too. The same holds for people selling content such as publications or classes.
Obviously, you could always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t think you should determine if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based purely in their default funnel types. If you are a smaller business, okay with the price , and you need to produce your visitors work for you , I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money with ClickFunnels. I would particularly recommend it to anybody who would like to maintain a better landing page.
Customer Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area which consists of some nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for getting decent documentation on-site. I think their documentation is barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but still sufficient. Their page includes a collection of categories, each with their own posts. It may be easy, however it’s not too shabby. Click Funnels 100,000,000
As for the direct customer service, they’ve a feature inside the dashboard after you log in, but I am not pleased by it. They’ve been helpful for easy questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I have had more advanced questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing question, they took three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users won’t need that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS businesses don’t provide that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve noticed a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences with customer service. Notably, in cases when attributes haven’t worked when there were bizarre site malfunctions or as promised, client support reps were either unresponsive or unhelpful. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, because of site error, some of his clients were locked out and how other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only articles. After he contacted customer support, he discovered they were apathetic and unhelpful. It may be a scenario that is improbable, but it illustrates the point.
Overall Support Rating
I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I feel the team understand that their services are not absolutely easy to use and/or involve tools fresh to their users, and they have put resources into their support to make it adequate. At least basic queries will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Maybe most consumers, myself included, would not state ClickFunnels has outstanding customer support, but it meets a bare minimum that makes it. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the overarching conclusion? It’s fine! It’s a legitimate contender in the advertising program space and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a few drawbacks: Should you need a more hands-on answer to your marketing needs with greater customization skills, you might want to look. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself and end up dealing with customer service agents, or any glitches in the program. You might also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
But you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let additional advantages such as integrations that are strong, the learning curve, and templates that are good.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it easier for you to funnel traffic and reach higher conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews acknowledge it can be pretty helpful for less entrepreneurs. I am pretty certain that for the majority of prospective users, the page builder provides choice. If you’re looking to get an sales alternative or landing page editor, then ClickFunnels is a superb tool. It has not attained its popularity on promises, and that is why I am giving it 4/5 celebrities.
