What is ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels started back in 2014, but in just three years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the online marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for businesses and entrepreneurs to sell things online using otherwise complicated marketing technology, known as sales funnels (more on those in a second).

The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous as his invention, and for good reason. He has made a fortune, but not just from ClickFunnels, but other marketing experiences. He played with email advertising for some time, and eventually began to master sales funnels.

Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets two books, and Expert Secrets that his lovers rave that guide and about people through his marketing methodologies. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his website here. Click Funnel Supplement

ClickFunnels started out as a way to assist Brunson and his staff produce funnels more rapidly for different ventures, as creating funnels would usually take weeks. But they had good potential as a commodity and soon realized their production would be helpful to others.

What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work

Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let’s clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes individuals who don’t know you and turns them to clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a series of measures designed to guide a web site visitor into the checkout page.

There is a dull method of thinking about it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you have metaphorical ingredients you telephone internet traffic or site visitors. Your website visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!

Unfortunately, many of your visitors still doesn’t turn . In a physical shop, that is like people walking in to your store but not understanding where the cash register is, so that they leave the store without purchasing anything. At a store, you can talk your clients. In a store that is digital, you may be a little more distant from your visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to appeal to your customers’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel works incremental, draw visitors in closer and closer till people wind up at a page.

You are right, if you think this sounds cool –it has turned into a huge deal for online marketing. Russell Brunson did not only get wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it too.

Pros:  ClickFunnels Review

I have got some great news: ClickFunnels does its job!

ClickFunnels is intended to save you time and energy–to do exactly what otherwise demands a lot of technological proficiency and/or a range of third party applications. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.

Makes You Cash

One of the greatest things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making money for your user. They make it easy to make your accounts, put up your content, and start taking payments. Additionally, it’s rather easy to select up everything –it will probably take you a couple hours to find out most of what you need, maximum.

Drag and Drop Builder

A few features are very useful here. I like how simple it is to replicate pages, and the fact I will save templates for use again later. Their webpage builder is a attribute, and they’ve pulled it off nicely. It’s an builder, once you become used to it.

A/B analyzing

Built in A/B testing is great. All you need to do is replicate a page, make your changes, and pick the amounts of the traffic that you want to see version A or B.

Great selection of Integrations

I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment processors are not too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to control.

WordPress Plugin

You’ll also find a handy WordPress plugin that allows you add ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress website. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle compared to working between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin repository, with over 20,000 active setups.

All in one

Overall, it is great to get things so centralized: I can construct my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and activate emails all from 1 platform.

All of this really does save time and money, resources you would otherwise need to spend on developers, CSS, hosting configurations, etc.

Reasonable Worth

You may be sure that the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you’re permitted for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. In case you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, the complete suite may not be too much to ask. Click Funnel Supplement

ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packaging good tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably conserves most users a headache they would have when they attempted to handle funnels another manner.

Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review

I have some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it has a number of areas that need work.

A little drawback is the cost. There are two options, at $97 a month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this is not just another investment in your business, a drawback, and like I’ve mentioned, you get a fantastic package for this.

Lackluster Client Support

Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with fundamental questions, but if you inquire harder things, especially about more advanced features, they won’t be very beneficial.

Cult-like user base and software also reliant on Founder

This is not an objective criticism of their product but that I take a slight issue with their advertising that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.

If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype. They have a fantastic advertising. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. Once you sign up for the applications, you can try to examine the purpose features of the software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’ll be lost and made to find out Russell Brunson’s marketing procedures.

This means you will end up buying online courses, publications, attending conventions, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k associates and posts is composed of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they made. Though these numbers are real, the consumers provide an impression that they’re more concentrated on making quick cash rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped people do great things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, on line courses, saturation of coaches and experts, and other spammy online marketer stuff.

We know the founder is a marketing magician, but much of this item is tied into his own brand and his philosophy. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it seems like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.

Sometimes it’s hard not to get the feeling which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when some aspects of their merchandise (i.e., client service) can still use some work.

Too Templated

This one is not on ClickFunnels however more about the community. As you’ve got the capability to customize within ClickFunnels, a lot of people use similar designs. Taking into consideration the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has led to a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y seems floating around. Diversity is important.

Software Outages and Bugs

Every now and then, ClickFunnels experience some mistakes or will go down. Though this doesn’t occur often, there is little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a lot in advertising or forcing visitors to your funnels and a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a few hours, you may potentially lose a lot of cash.

It’s also hard to know when your pages are working or not, if you don’t always wait or wait until you hear from angry customers. When I clone webpages using the HTML printing option, barring bandwidth, I deal with a few glitches.

Users Experience Differs… a lot

The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will move around, pricing options alter, etc–and it appears ClickFunnels remains figuring things out.

I like consistency in my software, especially if it’s a business solution.

Too Simple

At length, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with personally: it is too easy, and too pricey for its simplicity. These criticisms have a tendency to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which can be cheaper upfront and yield more control over handling specific details. But for less experienced users who are mainly seeking efficiency and an easy to use package of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.

ClickFunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels includes two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and Full Suite–and even StartUp begins on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month and Etison comes in at $297 per month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to try out the service, so at least you do not need to commit to an expensive plan right away. If you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Full Package ).

Nonetheless, a little huh? Well, some would say , and that I can see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a comparable (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service which begins at $25 per month. However, it’s important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to earn funnels more efficient, and it does a pretty great job. Personally, I consider it a good investment.

The main differences between an entry level consideration and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the main company, the funnel-builder, with a few limitations on the number of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just some of the complete list of features.

But, both plans have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B divide tests, and a few other commonalities.

Etison/Full Suite has a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this can be a Backpack quality which allows you describe a product as a one time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription plans (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time payments, this lets your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp includes 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and custom domain names; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics along with Backpack.

If you’re confused with Etison/ Full Suite, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I believe ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the subsequent section of this ClickFunnels review.

To summarize the differences, StartUp essentially conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which is called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Package, on the other hand, packages the cornerstone instrument ClickFunnels with two additional providers –Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the full set of ClickFunnels features. You are able to watch the full official record here.

Features Overview:  Clickfunnels Review

Are ClickFunnels’ attributes overall? I think that they’re solid and you get everything you want. They are largely intuitive and supply you with a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are all great examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them different segments. Click Funnel Supplement

A/B split testing is a smaller feature, but definitely a one.

If you duplicate a webpage and make changes to the copy, the divide test essentially lets you choose what percentages of the visitors you need to see per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very handily. It’s a function and quite easy to use.

I also believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for different settings, such as your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a frequent theme among some criticisms), but as the service is supposed to be simple to work with, I believed the basic features were pretty good.

There are a number of types of available pre-made funnels, oriented to different types of companies, and also you can of course build your personal funnel from scratch also.

Actionetics and Backpack

I take a moment within this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. In my view, Total Suite is three products being packaged together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.

What’s Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complicated. The chief goal of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that lead to clever auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics comes Backpack (previously Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to create managing an affiliate system simpler and more effective.

But are such features, or products that are different? Actionetics sounds a bit like ClickFunnels attempting to sell an iffy email auto-responder to me, but perhaps I’m just cynical. In any case, it gets Complete Suite a bit confusing and removes the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.

Here’s the Complete list of StartUp features
  • 20 funnels
  • 100 pages
  • 20,000 traffic
  • boundless contacts
  • 3 custom domains
  • A/B split tests
  • Mail integrations
  • Optin funnels
  • ClickPops
  • ClickOptin
  • All innovative funnels
  • Revenue funnels
  • Membership funnels
  • Unlimited members
  • Auto webinar funnels
  • Hangout funnels
  • Purchase pages
  • Upsell webpages
  • Downsale pages
  • Share your funnels
  • 1 SMPTP integration
  • 1 billing integration per type

You may view the full list of features, along with Full Suite features, here. If you’re in a situation where you can manage to try out Etison for a little and you also absolutely require an efficient, simple method of increasing sales, I don’t believe you’d wind up shorted. By that same token, I don’t think Actionetics and Backpack offer such a huge advantage that you can not do without them: for most users, simply StartUp will provide a thorough adequate package.

Clickfunnels Review:  Page Builder

This is probably ClickFunnels’ main feature, so I wanted to devote attention to it. In fact, I think a huge part of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it turned into a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building applications and advertises its own funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely with this landing page builder.

Anyway, there’s quite a range of templates with good designs, however as you may expect, only the templates made by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are organized by funnel type, therefore poking around isn’t too hard.

You can even save certain templates and make personal page templates, and it’s rather simple to see them. You can toggle with basic settings and open from the editor as you can see.

You’ll basically be working with a drop and drag builder once your pages start in the editor. It’s a bit more complex than some other light page builders, but it is still user friendly.

The editor uses a page structure with four chief components: sections, rows, columns, and components. Consider these components as fitting within each other (this article includes a helpful diagram). Fundamentally: columns, rows, and elements go inside of segments. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns go inside segments, but columns specifically enter rows. This way you can have a row with a single column, or around four. Elements are the lively bits that go columns and also make your page interactive to its customers.

It may sound complex, but it’s rather easy to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for example, from the above screenshot, the selection is a light green box because it is a part, however if I was hovering over an element, it could be orange.

You can edit section, row, column, etc, through the side bar. All the small details and parts of your page can be moved or altered. The template editor allows for plenty of customization, but provides control that is good . You can do a variety of things–cellular previews, edit colors, text, settings, and just about anything you expect. If you’re handy with code, you can even add your own CSS, Javascript, and HTML.

A small criticism I have heard (but don’t have ) on the builder is how grid-like it is–you have to work within these columns and rows. I personally do not believe this is a huge problem and the builder provides you enough hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
Overall, I enjoy the page builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page very easy, and it serves ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to earn money online.

Integrations:  ClickFunnels Review

Integrations are exactly what they sound like: other marketing tools you incorporate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of different types of integrations you can add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and actions. By way of example, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you are enrolled with them. Easy!

ClickFunnels has a few partners you may add to your integrations. Here’s a list:

  • Active Campaign
  • Aweber
  • Constant Contact
  • Convertkit
  • Drip
  • GetResponse
  • GoToWebinar
  • GVO PureLeverage
  • HTML Form
  • HubSpot
  • InfusionSoft
  • Interspice
  • Mad Mimi
  • MailChimp
  • Maropost
  • Ontraport
  • SalesForce
  • Sendlane
  • ShipStation
  • Shopify
  • Twilio
  • Webinar Jam Studio
  • YouZign

If you go to a integrations section, you can look for these or just click the search bar, and they will come up. It’s pretty self-explanatory, just click on the one you want and insert it. Click Funnel Supplement

The procedure for managing integrations is also simple, though you might have to check your third party software’s documentation to discover precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll find the process pretty simple. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some features, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have an extremely straightforward method of incorporating and handling integrations.

Connected to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other software platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they get a part different from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also what they sound like: they are the integrations that allow your customers to pay for your stuff. Your store will not really be a lot of store unless you’re using a payment gateway.

A list of the payment gateways you can include:
  • Stripe
  • Infusionsoft
  • Warriorplus
  • JVZoo
  • ClickBank
  • Taxamo
  • Ontraport
  • Blue Snap
  • Easy Pay Direct
  • Recurly

Handling all of these integrations is fairly easy–so long as you are all set up with whatever tool you are trying to integrate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it to ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations usually run and you don’t need to fret much.

Ease of Use:  ClickFunnels Review

In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its simplicity of usage –as their advertisement says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that enable the less experienced save time and money. That being the situation, assessing ease of usage is really important.

Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you need to still have some experience.

Longer answer: To get a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and by first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and marketing–but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For most people, I’d say that the learning curve could be just a couple hours maximum. Pick up the books mentioned in the review of Russell Brunson, if you are really behind.

Anyway, ClickFunnels is unquestionably simpler than creating funnels on your own. They’ve a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it appears to me like most queries should be covered, and you could always contact a customer service representative if it comes to it.

All that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang . The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the actual funnels–are fairly simple to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate into all sections of your funnel managing process, from picking templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations involving email integrations or charge processors will want a little bit of understanding, but it is nowhere near the quantity of knowledge you would need to really code the funnels–it’s stuff you’ll be able to determine by Googling about or seeing the docs center.

Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly straightforward, but it is overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it likely won’t be sufficient to significantly hamper you.

We give it a 4 out of 5 in ease of use. It unites alternative and customizability with ease, and while I would suggest all prospective users enter with some simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.

Who’s ClickFunnels for?

Who stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (speaking from experience here) will get the most use from it. There are variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a businesses.

Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, people exclusively in e-commerce or network marketing, and those offering B2B services would most likely be most fit for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does well with people offering more creative products or ventures. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those industries: for instance, if you’re a florist, you might find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel for a good way of marketing for you. If you are trying to center everything there could be great support too. The same goes for people selling content such as publications or courses.

Of course, you could always start from a blank funnel, and I don’t think you should determine if ClickFunnels is ideal for you or not based only in their default funnel kinds. If you’re a smaller business, alright with the price tag, and you need to produce your traffic work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anybody who wants to keep a better landing page.

Customer Support:  ClickFunnels Review

ClickFunnels’ customer support is an area that consists of some nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I believe their documentation is sufficient, although barely industry-standard for SaaS companies. Their page includes a series of categories. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it may be simple. Click Funnel Supplement

As the immediate customer service, they’ve a feature within the dashboard once you log in for, but I am not too delighted with it. They have been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more advanced questions, I have found them pretty unhelpful. With one HTML publishing query, they took three months to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not need that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS businesses don’t offer that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.

Additionally, I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. Notably, in instances when attributes haven’t worked as promised or if there were bizarre site malfunctions, customer support representatives were either unhelpful or unresponsive. One notorious reviewer particularly recounts how, because of site error, some of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only articles. He discovered they were unhelpful and apathetic, when he contacted customer support. It illustrates the point, although it might be a improbable scenario.

Total Support Rating

I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in customer support–I think the team mostly understand that their solutions are not easy to use and/or demand tools new for their users, and they have put resources into their support to make it decent. At least basic queries will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Perhaps consumers, myself included, would not say ClickFunnels has exceptional customer support, but it mostly meets. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Conclusion:  ClickFunnels Review

Therefore, what’s the conclusion that is overarching? It’s fine! It’s a legitimate contender in the marketing software area and worth trying out.

Yeah, there are a few drawbacks: If you need a more hands-on solution to your advertising needs with higher customization skills, you might want to look. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself unfortunate and end up dealing with customer service agents, or some glitches in the software. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.

However, you know what? Considering all, I don’t think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone advantages like strong integrations, the learning curve, and templates that are superior.

All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its center objective–to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and attain conversion prices. Even unwanted ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be quite helpful for internet-exposed entrepreneurs that are significantly less. I am pretty sure that for the vast majority of users, enough option is offered by the webpage builder. If you’re looking first and foremost to get an easy but solid sales alternative or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. On promises, it has not reached its popularity after all, and that I’m giving 4/5 celebrities to it.
