What is ClickFunnels?
ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in just 3 years it has been, in the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet advertising industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: It makes it easier for companies and entrepreneurs to market stuff online using otherwise complicated advertising technologies, called sales funnels (more on those in a moment ).
The founder of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as renowned and for good reason. He has made a fortune from ClickFunnels, but advertising adventures. He played with email marketing for some time, and began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets two books, and Expert Secrets his fans rave that direct and about people through his advertising and marketing methodologies. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Builderall Oder Clickfunnels
ClickFunnels started out as a means to help Brunson and his team create funnels more quickly for distinct ventures, as developing funnels would usually take months. But they had good potential as a product and soon realized their creation would be useful to others.
What Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Function
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us clarify what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it is a procedure that takes individuals who do not know you personally and turns them to clients, aka a advertising funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps designed to guide a website visitor to the checkout page.
There is a way of considering it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and instead of actual ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you call internet traffic or site visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your website is beautifully designed, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, many of your visitors doesn’t turn . In a physical shop, that is like people walking into your store but not knowing where the cash register is, so they leave the store without buying anything. You can speak your customers into buying something. In a shop, you could be a little more distant from your visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it’s designed to attract your clients’ . The funnel functions incremental, draw traffic in closer and closer till visitors wind up at a page.
If you think this sounds cool, you are correct –it has turned into a huge bargain for advertising. Russell Brunson did get rich by selling ClickFunnels technologies, but by using it too.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some good information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to save time and energyto do exactly what demands a lot of technological competence and/or an array of third party software. In this respect, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Cash
One of the best things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making the user money. They make it simple to make your accounts, put up your content, and start taking payments. Additionally, it is pretty simple to pick up everything –it will probably take you a couple hours to find out most of what you need, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I enjoy how simple it’s to replicate pages, and the fact I will save templates to be used again later. Their page builder is a fairly important attribute, and they’ve pulled it. It’s an easy to use drag and drop builder As soon as you become used to it.
Built in A/B testing is excellent too. All you need to do is duplicate a page, make your changes, and pick the amounts of your traffic that you want to see version A or B.
Great selection of Integrations
I believe ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment chips aren’t too much of a sweat–they operate reliably and are simple to manage.
You’ll also find a handy WordPress plugin which lets you add ClickFunnels webpages to your WordPress site. It saves a good deal of time and is a lot less of a hassle compared to functioning between ClickFunnels and WordPress with no plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin is also rated a solid 4.4 stars in the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active installations.
All in one
Overall, it’s good to get things so concentrated: I will construct my landing pages, produce forms and order forms, and activate emails all from one platform.
All this really will save you time and money, resources you would otherwise need to invest on developers, CSShosting configurations, etc.
You may be sure that the lower-tiered account is a great investment–what you’re allowed for a StartUp accounts is pretty decent. If you’ve got over 20,000 visitors and want over 100 pages, the full package might not be too much to ask. Builderall Oder Clickfunnels
ClickFunnels isn’t ideal, but it does a fantastic job of packaging good tools together and making them accessible. It arguably saves most users a headache they would have when they tried to handle funnels another way.
Cons: Clickfunnels Review
I have some bad news: although ClickFunnels is overall powerful, it’s a number of places that need work.
A small drawback is the cost. There are just two options, at either $97 a month or $297 a month. From the grand scheme of things, this isn’t a drawback, just another investment in your organization, and like I’ve mentioned, you get a package for this.
Lackluster Customer Support
Beyond that, customer support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with fundamental questions, but if you inquire more difficult things, especially about more innovative features, they will not be very beneficial.
Cult-like user base and applications also reliant on Founder
This isn’t an objective criticism of their product but that I take a slight problem with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of their funnels, it’s difficult to escape the hype surrounding it. They have a marketing. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can acquire obtrusive. When you register for the applications, you can try to look at the objective features of the software and integrate it in your own workflow, or you’re going to be lost and forced to learn Russell Brunson’s advertising methods.
This usually means you will find yourself purchasing online classes, publications, attending conventions, and getting sucked to the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over associates and posts is composed of people flashing their sports cars and bragging about how much money they made. Though these numbers are real, the users give an impression that they are more focused on earning quick money rather than building great services and products. ClickFunnels has helped folks do great things, but it has also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, on line classes, saturation of coaches and specialists, along with other spammy internet entrepreneurs stuff.
We know the creator is a marketing but much of the item is tied to his brand and his doctrine. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything around it looks like an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
At times it’s difficult to not get the sensation which ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than mandatory, especially when a few elements of their merchandise (i.e., client support ) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels however more on the community. While you’ve got the capability to customize broadly within ClickFunnels, many people use layouts. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great amount of ClickFunnel-y looks. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels will return or experience some mistakes. Though this doesn’t happen often, there’s little you can do but wait patiently. If you’re investing a lot in advertising or forcing visitors to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch attracts down your pages for even a couple of hours, you may potentially lose a lot of money.
In addition, it is difficult to know when your pages are working or not, if you don’t always check or wait till you hear from angry customers. When I clone webpages using the HTML printing alternative barring uptime, I deal with some glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes often, the flow of creating new pages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options change, etcand it appears ClickFunnels remains figuring things out.
I like consistency in my applications, particularly if it’s a business solution.
Finally, a criticism I have heard but do not quite agree with personally: it is too simple, and too pricey for its simplicity. All these criticisms have a tendency to refer to do-it-yourself approaches that can be more economical upfront and give more control over handling specific details. However, for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficacy and an simple to use package of tools, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–and even StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 per month plus Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it’s worth, you also get a 14 day free trial to test the service, so at least you don’t have to commit to a costly program straight away. Should you pay annually instead of monthly, you get two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).
Nonetheless, a bit hefty huh? Well, some would say , and I could see why–particularly if you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that starts at $25 a month. But it is necessary to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ most important service is to make funnels more effective, and it does a pretty good job. I consider it a good investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account and a premium account are as follows: StartUp gets the principal company, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the number of pages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the full list of features.
However, both plans have unlimited connections, unlimited members, all complex funnels, A/B split evaluations, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite has a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality that allows you describe a product as a one time payment product for your payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your clients cover a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); boundless funnels, pages, visits, along with spiritual domain names; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Total Suite, don’t worry, it is perplexing. This part I think ClickFunnels could clean up. We’ll go into more detail in the section of the ClickFunnels review.
To outline the gaps, StartUp essentially carries the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Suite, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two other services–Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels attributes. You can view the full official record .
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ attributes overall? I think that they’re strong and you get everything you want. They are largely intuitive and supply you with a fantastic amount of control. The template editor and integration management program are all great examples of this and are very important functions, so I will be giving them different sections. Builderall Oder Clickfunnels
A/B split testing is a smaller feature, but definitely a one.
If you replicate a webpage and make changes to the copy, the split test basically enables you to select what percentages of your traffic you want to view per page, allowing you examine conversion rates very conveniently. It’s very easy to use and a function.
I also believe ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for other settings, like your account details or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a common theme among a few criticisms), but while the support is supposed to be easy to work with, I believed the fundamental features were fairly good.
There are a number of kinds of accessible pre-made funnels, oriented to several kinds of businesses, and you can obviously build your own funnel from scratch too.
Actionetics and Backpack
I take a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to discuss Full Suite. Total Suite is three products being packed as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it is what many would call an e-mail or only an auto-responder, but it is a bit more complex. The main objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that result in smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding entails snail mail in addition to email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), an instrument designed to make managing an affiliate program simpler and more effective.
But are separate products, or such attributes? Actionetics seems a bit like ClickFunnels trying to market a iffy email auto-responder to me, but perhaps I’m just cynical. In any case, it makes Complete Suite a little perplexing and removes the coherency you get with the first ClickFunnels.
Here’s the Complete list of all StartUp features
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 visitors
- unlimited contacts
- 3 custom domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Email integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Purchase pages
- Upsell webpages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 charging integration per type
You can watch the full list of features, along with Full Package attributes, here. If you’re in a position where you can manage to try Etison for a bit and you absolutely need an efficient, easy way of increasing sales, I do not think you would wind up shorted. By that exact same token, I really don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge benefit that you can not do without them: for many users, just StartUp will provide a thorough adequate bundle.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is probably ClickFunnels’ main feature, so I wanted to devote exclusive attention. In reality, I think a large portion of why I gave ClickFunnels a top score has to do with it turned into a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page construction applications and advertises its own funnel strategy, but truth be told, I use it mostly with this landing page builder.
Anyway, there is quite a range of templates with good designs, though as you may expect, just the templates made by ClickFunnels are liberated. Templates are coordinated by funnel kind, so poking around isn’t too hard.
You can even save certain templates and make own page templates, and it’s rather easy to see them. As you can see, you open in the editor and can toggle with basic settings.
When your pages start from the editor, you’ll basically be working with a drop and drag builder. It’s a bit more complicated than some other light page builders, but it’s still easy to use.
The editor uses a page structure with four chief components: sections, rows, columns, and components. Consider these components as fitting within every other (this article includes a very helpful diagram). Fundamentally: rows, columns, and components go inside of sections. You can have multiple segments per page. Rows and columns go indoors segments, but columns specifically enter rows. This way you can have a row with a single column, or around four. Elements are the bits that make your page interactive to its customers and go within columns.
It might sound complicated, but it is pretty simple to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the selection is a mild green box since it’s a section, but when I had been hovering over an element, it would be orange.
A little criticism I have heard (but do not have ) about the builder is the way grid-like it is–you need to work within those columns and rows. I personally do not believe this is a huge problem and the builder provides you sufficient control without sacrificing ease of use, but it might be worth a mention.
I like the page builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it functions ClickFunnels’ purpose: to make it easier for you to make money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like: additional advertising and marketing tools you integrate in the ClickFunnels software. There are a couple of different types of integrations you are able to enhance your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For instance, you might add MailChimp for your ClickFunnels because you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding software and you’re enrolled with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has quite a few partners you can add to your integrations. Here’s a full list:
- Active Campaign
- Constant Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to your integrations segment, you can search for these or simply click on the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click on the one you want and add it. Builderall Oder Clickfunnels
The procedure for handling integrations is also straightforward, though you may need to check your third party software’s documentation to find precisely what ClickFunnels needs. Overall, you’ll find the process simple. Integrations are a bit more technical conceptually than a few features, such as the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very straightforward way of adding and managing integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become integrated and on other applications platforms are just called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section different from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as billing integrations. Payment gateways will also be what they sound like: they’re the integrations that enable your clients to pay for your stuff. Your store won’t really be much of a shop unless you’re using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can include:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling all these integrations is pretty easy–so long as you are all set up with whatever tool you’re trying to integrate with, you shouldn’t have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. In my experience, these integrations operate smoothly and you do not have to fret much.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by now, ClickFunnels’ main sell is its ease of usage –because their advertisement says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology guys! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels provides is providing tools which allow the less experienced save time and money. That being the case, assessing ease of usage is really important.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you should still have some expertise.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it might be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from hopeless. For most people, I’d say the learning curve would be only a few hours maximum. If you behind, pick up Russell Brunson’s books mentioned earlier in the review.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is certainly simpler than creating funnels all on your own. They’ve a fair amount of documentation, and it may not be ideal, but it seems to me like most questions must be covered, and you could always contact a customer support representative if it comes to it.
All of that aside, some parts of ClickFunnels are rather easy to get a hang of. The core features of ClickFunnels–the real funnels–are fairly easy to manage. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate to all parts of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some settings regarding email integrations or charge processors will want a little bit of comprehension, but it’s nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it is stuff you’ll be able to figure out by Googling around or seeing the docs centre.
Finally, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it is overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change things frequently, but it likely will not be sufficient to significantly hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 at simplicity of use. It combines choice and customizability with ease, and while I would suggest all prospective users enter with some basic technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is concerned.
Who is ClickFunnels for?
Who stands to benefit the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small companies and startups (speaking from experience here) will find the most use out of it. There are naturally variations in funnel kinds that appeal to a businesses more than others.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or community marketing, and even those that offer B2B services would probably be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does ventures that are individual or products. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards those industries: for example, if you’re a florist, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a good method of marketing for you. If you’re attempting to center everything on your own and your brand, there would be support too. The same holds for individuals selling content like courses or books.
Obviously, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not believe you need to decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based only in their default funnel kinds. If you’re a smaller business, okay with the price , and you need to produce your traffic work for you better, I doubt you would be wasting your money or time using ClickFunnels. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to keep a much better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is. I commend ClickFunnels for getting adequate documentation on-site. I think their documentation is only for SaaS companies, but adequate. Their docs page has a series of classes, each with their own articles. Content-wise it’s not too shabby, although it might be simple. Builderall Oder Clickfunnels
As once you log in for the customer service that is direct, they’ve a feature within the dashboard, but I am not too pleased by it. They’ve been useful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but once I have had more complex questions, I’ve found them fairly unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing query, they required to return to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Most users will not require that sort of support and to be honest, most SaaS companies don’t provide that degree of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. Notably, in instances when attributes haven’t worked as promised or when there were site malfunctions, client support representatives were supposedly unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer in particular recounts how, due to site error, a number of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained access to members-only articles. He found they were unhelpful and apathetic After he contacted customer support. It illustrates the point, although it might be a unlikely scenario.
Overall Support Rating
I would not say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I feel the team understand that their solutions are not easy to use and/or demand tools new to their users, and they’ve put resources in their support to make it adequate. At least fundamental queries will be answered, and they’re pretty responsive. Maybe consumers, myself included, would not say ClickFunnels has exceptional customer support, but it meets a minimum which makes it at least good. We give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
What’s the verdict? It’s fine! It is a legitimate contender in the marketing program area and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a couple drawbacks: Should you want a more hands-on solution to your marketing needs with customization abilities that are greater, you might want to check. If you’re going with ClickFunnels after all, you might find yourself unlucky and end up dealing with customer service agents, or any glitches in the program. You might be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of them outweigh the solid landing page builder, let alone positives like integrations that are strong, the brief learning curve, and templates that are superior.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and attain higher conversion rates. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be pretty helpful for less entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed. I am pretty sure that for the majority of users, the webpage builder provides option. If you’re looking to get an easy but solid sales solution or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a superb tool. On promises, it has not reached its popularity In the end, and that is why I am giving it 4/5 stars.
