ClickFunnels began back in 2014, but in only three years it’s been, at the words of Forbes,”silently revolutionizing the internet marketing industry.” Here is the gist of ClickFunnels: This makes it much easier for companies and entrepreneurs to sell things online using differently complex marketing technology, known as sales funnels (more about those in a moment ).
The creator of ClickFunnels, Russell Brunson, is as famous as his invention, and for good reason. He has made a fortune, not just from ClickFunnels, but marketing adventures. He played around with email advertising for some time, and began to master sales funnels.
Russell Brunson is the bestselling author of DotCom Secrets and Secrets his fans rave that guide and about people. You can pick up Dotcom Secrets free on his site here. Get Expert Secrets free on his own website here. Biohacker Clickfunnels
ClickFunnels started out as a means to assist Brunson and his staff create funnels more quickly for different ventures, as creating funnels would normally take weeks. But they had good potential as a product and soon realized their creation would be helpful to other people.
Which Are Funnels? How Sales Funnels Work
Before continuing with this ClickFunnels Review, let us explain what a marketing funnel is. In marketing, it’s a procedure that takes individuals who do not know you and turns them to customers, aka a marketing funnel. In e-commerce, a sales funnel is a set of steps developed to direct a website visitor into the checkout page.
There is a dull method of considering it. Step 1: Imagine that a funnel. Measure 2: Envision this funnel is in fact a metaphor, and rather than real ingredients to pour down the funnel, you’ve got metaphorical ingredients that you telephone internet traffic or site visitors. Your site visitors are looking around, checking things out. Your site is beautifully built, and your content is top notch!
Unfortunately, a lot of your visitors doesn’t turn into clients. In a brick and mortar store, that’s like people walking into your shop but not knowing where the cash register is, so they leave the shop without buying anything. You can talk your customers into purchasing something. In a digital shop, you may be a little more remote from the visitors. This is where your funnel comes in–it is designed to appeal to your clients’ through fundamentals of psychology. The funnel works incremental, draw visitors in closer and closer until visitors end up in a payment page.
If you think this sounds cool, you are right–it’s turned into a massive bargain for online marketing. Russell Brunson did not just become wealthy by selling ClickFunnels technology, but by using it as well.
Pros: ClickFunnels Review
I’ve got some good information: ClickFunnels does its job!
ClickFunnels is intended to help save time and energy–to do what requires a whole lot of technological proficiency and/or a range of third party applications. In this regard, ClickFunnels succeeds.
Makes You Money
One of the best things about ClickFunnels is the focus on making money. They make it very easy to make your accounts, put your content up, and start taking payments. Additionally, it’s pretty simple to pick everything up–it will likely take you a few hours to figure out a lot of what you need, max.
Drag and Drop Builder
Quite a few features are extremely useful here. I like how easy it is to replicate pages, and also the fact I can save templates for use again later. Their page builder is a feature, and they’ve pulled it. It is an easy to use drag and drop builder once you get accustomed to it.
Constructed in A/B testing is excellent. All you need to do is duplicate a webpage, make your changes, and pick the numbers of the traffic that you wish to view version A or B.
Great Choice of Integrations
I think ClickFunnels manages API integrations . Email autoresponders and payment chips aren’t too much of a sweat–they work reliably and are simple to control.
You’ll also find a useful WordPress plugin that allows you insert ClickFunnels pages to your WordPress site. It saves a lot of time and is much less of a hassle compared to working between ClickFunnels and WordPress without a plugin. The Clickfunnels WordPress plugin can be rated a strong 4.4 stars from the WordPress plugin , with over 20,000 active installations.
All in one
Overall, it is great to get things so concentrated: I can construct my landing pages, create forms and order forms, and activate emails all from one platform.
All of this really will save time and money, resources you’d otherwise have to invest on developers, CSShosting configurations, etc.
You may rest assured the lower-tiered account is a good investment–what you’re allowed for a StartUp accounts is really decent. In case you have more than 20,000 visitors and need over 100 pages, then the complete suite may not be too much to ask. Biohacker Clickfunnels
ClickFunnels is not perfect, but it does a fantastic job of packing great tools together and making them more accessible. It arguably saves most users a hassle they’d have if they attempted to manage funnels another way.
Disadvantages: Clickfunnels Review
I’ve got some bad news: even though ClickFunnels is overall strong, it has a number of areas that need work.
A small drawback is the cost. There are only two pricing options, at $97 per month or $297 per month. In the grand scheme of things, this is not a massive drawback, just another investment in your business, and like I have said, you get a package for it.
Lackluster Client Service
Beyond that, client support is iffy at best. In my experience, they have been nice with fundamental queries, but if you inquire harder things, especially about more advanced features, they won’t be very beneficial.
Cult-like user base and software too reliant on Founder
This isn’t an objective criticism of the merchandise but I take a small issue with their marketing that I think is worth mentioning in this ClickFunnels Review.
If you get sucked into one of the funnels, it’s hard to escape the hype. They have a fantastic marketing. However, from a user experience standpoint, it can get obtrusive. When you sign up for the applications, you can try to look at the objective features of the software and incorporate it into your own workflow, or you’re going to be lost and forced to find out Russell Brunson’s advertising methods.
This usually means you will end up buying online classes, books, attending conventions, and getting sucked into the ClickFunnels”Cult-ure”. Their Facebook Group has over 100k members and articles consists of people flashing their sport cars and bragging about how much money they created. Although these numbers are real, the consumers give an impression that they are more focused on making quick cash rather than building great products and services. ClickFunnels has helped people do good things, but it’s also helped proliferate quick rich schemes, online courses, saturation of coaches and experts, and other spammy internet marketer stuff.
So much of the item is tied to his doctrine and his brand, although we all know the creator is a marketing magician. As much as I value the landing page builder, everything about it looks to be an expansion of Brunson’s platform.
Sometimes it’s hard not to get the feeling that ClickFunnels spends more resources on self-promotion than necessary, especially when some aspects of their merchandise (i.e., customer service) can still use some work.
This one isn’t on ClickFunnels but more about the community. While you have the ability to customize within ClickFunnels, many people use layouts. Considering the popularity of ClickFunnels, this has resulted in a great quantity of ClickFunnel-y looks floating about. Diversity is important.
Software Outages and Bugs
Every now and then, ClickFunnels encounter some mistakes or will go down. Though this doesn’t occur frequently, there is little you can do but wait patiently. If you are investing a lot in advertising or driving visitors to your funnels along with a ClickFunnels’ glitch brings down your pages for even a couple of hours, then you can potentially lose a good deal of money.
It’s also difficult to know when your pages are working or not, if you don’t always check or wait until you hear from angry customers. When I replicate pages using the HTML publishing alternative, barring bandwidth, I deal with some glitches.
Users Experience Differs… a lot
The dashboard changes frequently, the flow of creating new webpages and funnels changes, a button will proceed, pricing options alter, etcand it appears ClickFunnels is still figuring things out.
I enjoy consistency within my software if it is a business alternative.
At length, a criticism I have heard but don’t quite agree with personally: it is too simple, and too expensive because of its simplicity. All these criticisms tend to refer to do-it-yourself approaches which can be cheaper upfront and yield more control over handling certain details. But for less experienced users that are mainly seeking efficiency and an simple to use package of resources, I wouldn’t emphasize this too strongly.
ClickFunnels has two pricing programs –StartUp and Etison Suite, rather known as ClickFunnels and complete Suite–as well as StartUp starts on the pricier side. StartUp is $97 a month and Etison comes in at $297 a month. For what it is worth, you also receive a 14 day free trial to test the support , so at least you don’t have to commit to a costly program straight away. If you pay annually instead of monthly, you receive two months free ($997 for ClickFunnels and $2,997 for Total Suite).
Nonetheless, a little hefty huh? Well, some would say so, and I can see why–particularly in the event that you compare to LeadPages, a similar (overlapping, but definitely not identical) service that begins at $25 per month. However, it is important to keep in mind ClickFunnels’ main service is to make funnels more effective, and it does a pretty good job. I personally consider it a good investment.
The principal differences between an entry level account and a premium accounts are as follows: StartUp gets the principal service, the funnel-builder, with a few constraints on the amount of webpages (100), visits (20,000), custom domains (3), and just a number of the complete list of features.
But, both plans have unlimited contacts, unlimited members, all advanced funnels, A/B split evaluations, and some other commonalities.
Etison/Full Suite includes a full list of features, including the following: one-time payments (this is a Backpack quality that allows you characterize a product as a one-time payment product for your own payment gateways); subscription programs (another Backpack feature, but unlike one-time obligations, this lets your clients pay for a subscription service); 3 SMTP integrations (StartUp has 1); unlimited funnels, pages, visits, and spiritual domains; priority support and template requests; as well as Actionetics along with Backpack.
If you are confused with Etison/ Total Suite, don’t worry, it is confusing. This part I think ClickFunnels could really clean up. We’ll go into more detail at the following section of the ClickFunnels review.
To outline the gaps, StartUp essentially conveys the core characteristic of ClickFunnels, which can be called (you guessed it!) ClickFunnels. Easy! Total Package, on the other hand, packs the foundation tool ClickFunnels with two additional services–Actionetics and Backpack–and gives you the complete set of ClickFunnels features. You can view the full official record here.
Features Overview: Clickfunnels Review
Are ClickFunnels’ features complete? I think that they’re strong and you get whatever you need. They’re largely intuitive and supply you with a good amount of control. The template editor and integration management system are great examples of this and are crucial functions, so I will be giving them separate sections. Biohacker Clickfunnels
A/B split testing is a smaller feature, but unquestionably a one.
If you replicate a page and also make changes to the backup, the split test essentially lets you select what percentages of your traffic you need to see per page, allowing you test conversion rates very conveniently. It is a great function and easy to use.
I also think ClickFunnels is complete flexible and simple for different settings, such as your account information or integrations. Maybe very tech literate people would find them prohibitive (a common theme among some criticisms), but while the service is supposed to be simple to use, I thought the basic features were pretty great.
There are a number of types of available pre-made funnels, oriented to different kinds of businesses, and also you can obviously build your personal funnel from scratch also.
Actionetics and Backpack
I’ll only have a minute in this Clickfunnels Review to talk about Full Suite. Total Suite is just three products being packed together as one: ClickFunnels, Actionetics, and Backpack.
What is Actionetics? Well, it’s exactly what many would call an email auto-responder or just an auto-responder, but it’s a little more complex. The main objective of Actionetics is intelligent analytics that lead to smart auto-responding, but the auto-responding involves snail mail as well as email, and some other goodies. Along with Actionetics includes Backpack (formerly Backpack CRM), a tool designed to make managing an affiliate system easier and more effective.
But are these attributes, or separate products? Actionetics sounds somewhat like ClickFunnels trying to sell a iffy email auto-responder to me, but perhaps I’m just cynical. Whatever the case, it gets Full Suite a bit perplexing and removes the coherency you get together with the original ClickFunnels.
Here is the Complete list of StartUp attributes
- 20 funnels
- 100 pages
- 20,000 traffic
- boundless contacts
- 3 habit domains
- A/B split evaluations
- Mail integrations
- Optin funnels
- All innovative funnels
- Sales funnels
- Membership funnels
- Endless members
- Auto webinar funnels
- Hangout funnels
- Order pages
- Upsell pages
- Downsale webpages
- Share your funnels
- 1 SMPTP integration
- 1 billing integration per type
You can view the full list of features, along with complete Suite attributes, here. If you are in a position where you can afford to try Etison for a bit and you also absolutely require an efficient, easy method of increasing earnings, I do not think you would find yourself shorted. By that exact same token, I don’t believe Actionetics and Backpack provide such a huge benefit that you can not do without them: for most users, just StartUp will offer a comprehensive enough package.
Clickfunnels Review: Page Builder
This is probably ClickFunnels’ attribute, so I wanted to devote exclusive attention to it. In fact, I feel a large part of why I gave ClickFunnels a top rating has to do with it turned into a very good landing page builder. ClickFunnels distances itself from page building applications and advertises its own funnel approach, but truth be told, I use it largely for this particular landing page builder.
Anyway, there’s quite an array of templates with good designs, though as you may expect, only the templates created by ClickFunnels are free. Templates are coordinated by funnel kind, so poking around is not too hard.
You can even save certain templates and also make own page templates, and it’s pretty simple to see them. You can toggle with fundamental settings and open in the editor as you can see.
Once your pages start in the editor, you will basically be working using a drag and drop builder. It is a little more complex than some other light page builders, but it is still user friendly.
The editor uses a page structure with four main components: sections, rows, columns, and elements. Think of these parts as fitting within each other (this article has a helpful diagram). Basically: elements, columns, and rows go inside of segments. You can have multiple sections per page. Rows and columns go inside segments, but columns especially go into rows. This way you can have a row with one column, or around four. Elements are the bits that go inside columns and make your page interactive to its visitors.
It might sound complicated, but it’s pretty simple to get the hang of. What’s color-coded–for instance, from the above screenshot, the choice is a mild green box since it is a section, however when I had been hovering over a component, it could be orange.
A little criticism I’ve heard (but don’t have personally) about the builder is the way grid-like it’s –you have to work within those columns and rows. Personally, I don’t believe this is a huge problem and the builder provides you enough hands without sacrificing ease of use, but it may be worth a mention.
I enjoy the page builder a lot. It makes designing your landing page very simple, and it serves ClickFunnels’ goal: to make it easier for you to make money online.
Integrations: ClickFunnels Review
Integrations are exactly what they sound like marketing tools you incorporate into the ClickFunnels software. There are a few different types of integrations you are able to add to your ClickFunnels account: email, webinar, SMS/text, and activities. For example, you may add MailChimp to your ClickFunnels since you enjoy MailChimp’s auto-responding applications and you are registered with them. Easy!
ClickFunnels has a few partners you can add to your integrations. Here’s a list:
- Active Campaign
- Continuous Contact
- GVO PureLeverage
- HTML Form
- Mad Mimi
- Webinar Jam Studio
If you go to a integrations segment, you can look for these or just click the search bar, and they’ll come up. It, just click the one. Biohacker Clickfunnels
The process for managing integrations can also be simple, though you may need to check your third party software’s documentation to discover precisely what ClickFunnels needs. You’ll discover the procedure straightforward. Integrations are a little more technical conceptually than some features, like the page builder, so it’s much appreciated to have a very simple method of incorporating and managing integrations.
Related to integrations are payment gateways. Payment gateways become incorporated and on other software platforms are only called integrations, but on ClickFunnels they receive a section separate from integrations. They might also be known to ClickFunnels as charging integrations. Payment gateways are also the things they sound like: they’re the integrations that allow your clients to pay for your stuff. Your shop won’t really be much of a store unless you are using a payment gateway.
A list of the payment gateways you can add:
- Blue Snap
- Easy Pay Direct
Handling all of these integrations is fairly easy–so long as you’re all set up using whatever tool you are trying to integrate with, you should not have any problems adding it into ClickFunnels. These integrations run smoothly and you don’t have to fret much about them.
Ease of Use: ClickFunnels Review
In case you haven’t picked it up by today, ClickFunnels’ most important market is its simplicity of usage –because their advertisement says,”Don’t waste any more time with’technology men! ”’ As I’ve said in this ClickFunnels review, the most important ceremony ClickFunnels offers is providing tools that allow the less experienced save money and time. That being the case, assessing ease of use is really significant.
Short answer: It’s simple to use, but you should still have some experience.
Longer answer: For a first-timer, it may be a bit overwhelming–and from first-timer, I mean new to the world of e-commerce and promotion –but the learning curve is far from impossible. For many people, I’d say the learning curve could be only a couple hours maximum. If you are actually behind, pick up the books mentioned earlier in the review of Russell Brunson.
Anyhow, ClickFunnels is unquestionably simpler than creating funnels on your own. They have a reasonable amount of documentation, and it may not be perfect, but it appears to me like most questions should be covered, and you can always contact a customer support representative if it has to do with it.
All of that aside, some pieces of ClickFunnels are pretty easy to get a hang . The core characteristics of ClickFunnels–that the actual funnels–are fairly easy to control. A cohesive menu makes it easy to navigate into all parts of your funnel managing process, from choosing templates to the drag and drop editor. Some configurations involving email integrations or charge processors will want a little bit of understanding, but it’s nowhere close to the amount of knowledge you would have to really code the funnels–it is things you can figure out by Googling around or visiting the docs center.
Ultimately, ClickFunnels is not mind-blowingly simple, but it’s overall compact with an intuitive user-interface. They do tend to change matters frequently, but it likely will not be sufficient to hamper you.
We give it a 4 out of 5 in simplicity of use. It combines alternative and customizability with ease, and while I would suggest all prospective users input with a few simple technological literacy, it basically succeeds where user-friendliness is worried.
Who’s ClickFunnels for?
Who really stands to reap the most from ClickFunnels? Broadly speaking, small businesses and startups (talking from experience here) will get the most use from it. There are naturally variations in funnel types that appeal to some companies.
Consultants, speakers, coaches, professional service providers, individuals exclusively in e-commerce or network marketing, and those that offer B2B services would probably be most suitable for ClickFunnels. ClickFunnels generally does products or ventures that are individual. The pre-made funnels are highly oriented towards these industries: for instance, if you are a florist, you may find the pre-made Daily Deal Funnel to be a fantastic way of marketing for you. If you’re trying to center everything around yourself and your brand, there would be support too. The same holds for individuals selling content like courses or books.
Of course, you could always start from a sterile funnel, and I do not think you should decide if ClickFunnels is right for you or not based purely in their default funnel types. If you’re a smaller company, alright with the price , and you need to produce your traffic work for you better, I doubt you’d be wasting your time or money using ClickFunnels. I would especially recommend it to anybody who wants to maintain a much better landing page.
Client Support: ClickFunnels Review
ClickFunnels’ customer support is a place which is composed of a few nuances. I commend ClickFunnels for having decent documentation on-site. I think their documentation is only barely industry-standard for SaaS companies, but sufficient. Their page includes a collection of classes. It may be simple, however content-wise it isn’t too shabby. Biohacker Clickfunnels
As the direct customer assistance, they’ve a chat feature inside the dashboard after you log into for, but I’m not pleased with it. They’ve generally been helpful for simple questions and basic troubleshooting… but when I’ve had more complex questions, I’ve found them pretty unhelpful. With one special HTML publishing query, they required to get back to me. By then, I figured out a workaround. Users will not require that kind of support and to be honest, most SaaS companies don’t offer that level of support. So I provide ClickFunnels kudos for trying.
I’ve discovered a consistency among reviews pointing out bad experiences. In instances when attributes haven’t worked as promised or if there were bizarre site malfunctions, customer support reps were either unhelpful or unresponsive. One infamous reviewer particularly recounts how, due to site error, a number of his customers were locked out and the way other non-paying visitors gained entry to members-only articles. He discovered they were unhelpful and apathetic, when he contacted customer service. It illustrates the point, although it might be a situation that is bizarre, improbable.
Overall Support Rating
I wouldn’t say ClickFunnels fails in client support–I think that the team understand that their services are not easy to use and/or involve tools fresh for their users, and they’ve put enough resources in their support to make it decent. At least basic questions will be answered, and they’re fairly responsive. Perhaps most consumers, myself included, would not state ClickFunnels has customer support, but it meets a bare minimum which makes it. Within this class, we give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
Conclusion: ClickFunnels Review
Therefore, what’s the conclusion that is overarching? It is good–4 out of 5 stars! It’s a legitimate contender in the advertising software space and worth trying out.
Yeah, there are a few drawbacks: Should you need a more hands-on solution to your advertising needs with greater customization skills, you may want to look. If you are going with ClickFunnels after all, you may find yourself and end up dealing with customer service representatives, or any glitches in the program. You could also be annoyed by their self-promotion.
However, you know what? Considering all, I do not think any of them outweigh the good landing page builder, let alone positives such as integrations that are solid, the short learning curve, and templates that are superior.
All-in-all, ClickFunnels succeeds in its core objective–to make it easier for you to funnel visitors and attain higher conversion prices. Even negative ClickFunnels reviews admit it can be useful for entrepreneurs that are internet-exposed that are less. I’m pretty sure that for the majority of users, the webpage builder offers option. If you are looking to get a simple but solid sales alternative or landing page editor, ClickFunnels is a great tool. In the end, it has not attained its popularity on empty promises, and that is why I’m giving 4/5 celebrities to it.
